The purpose of this study is to introduce surfing which is not a familiar leisure activity in Korea and provide understanding of surfing participants through the cross-sectional analysis on the process of forming recreational specialization from introductory levels with enthusiastic surfing participants. This study employs a qualitative approach to analyze each participant's experience on recreation specialization in detail, and in particular uses ethnographic research methods to derive participants' meaning of life and daily routines and cultural behavioral patterns changed through surfing. First, through the analysis of in-depth interview data, total 531 conceptual words were identified and the first categorization was established. Second, surfing participants mentioned that they had high expectations of surfing even before they first encountered it. Third, surfing participants noted that they experienced leisure constraints and made efforts to resolve this issue before reaching the recreation specialization process. Fourth, surfing participants were found to go through a recreation specialization process. Fifth, surfing participants were found to undergo life changes. They worked hard in their everyday life through physical training, improvement of surfing skills, and analysis of their own videos to be better at surfing.

Nowadays with advancement in technology and aging society, the number of disabled citizens is increasing. The disabled citizens always need a caretaker for daily life routines especially for mobility. In future, the need is considered to increase more. To reduce the burden from the disabled, various devices for healthcare are introduced using computer technology. The power wheelchair is an important and convenient mobility device. The demand of power wheelchair is increasing for assistance in mobility. In this paper we proposed a robotic wheelchair for mobility aid to reduce the burden from the disabled. The main issue in an autonomous wheelchair is the automatic detection and avoidance of obstacles and going to the pre-designated place. The proposed algorithm detects the obstacles and avoids them to drive the wheelchair to the desired place safely. By this way, the disabled will not always have to worry about paying deep attention to the surroundings and his path. User has a handheld bio-sensor monitoring system for get user's bio-signal. If user detects unusual signal, alarm send to protector.

Many users actively create and share digital contents in a variety of social media platforms. Social media users have become accustomed to posting or uploading their daily routines, and generating their contents by imitating others' contents or by creating their own unique contents on the basis of their creativity. Thus, this paper explores the relationship between individual creativity, imitation and creative behavior in using social media. In addition, the study demonstrates the moderating effect of individual characteristics such as age and educational level on the relationship between creativity and imitation. We conducted a three-month survey of 564 individuals using social media services and the results were used for hypotheses testing. The study results are summarized as follows. Firstly, creativity has a significant and positive impact on imitation, but not a direct impact on creative behavior. Secondly, the moderating effect of individual characteristics between creativity and imitation is not statistically significant. Based on these findings, this study presents practical and academic implications of the research.
As the popularity of single-person media content increases, We investigated the causal relationship between perceived value and intention to recommend to others. Individuality was studied on the tendency to sensation seeking and novelty seeking, which is a tendency to take boredom sensitive to monotonous and repetitive daily routines, and novelty seeking refers to new information and stimuli. The hypothesis was that high sensation seeking and high novelty seeking would perceived emotional value, epistemic value, and economic value for a single person 's media content. Hypothesis testing was performed using multiple regression analysis using SPSS21. As a result of the hypothesis test, The novelty seeking has a positive effect on emotional value, epistemic value, and economic value. Users who want to explore and enjoy new things could perceived the emotional value of having fun, fun, and sadness through single-person content, perceived a epistemic value and enjoy new information and situations as a tool to recognize new stimuli and know what they didn't know. And it could be seen that users perceive the economic value that they can enjoy at low cost or free service. The sensation seeking has a significant effect on epistemic value, but it did not affect emotional value and economic value significantly. Those who have a high tendency to sensation seeking can perceive curiosity about one-person media contents, so that they can perceive epistemic value. However, those who feel that they have not significant influence on economic value and emotional value can easily understand that expecting one's content does not feel bored by paying for a low cost or free service.
Inlay (入絲), a poetic technique of digging grooves in the surface of crafts and decorating them with metal materials, was used throughout the royal daily routines, ceremonies and government officials of the Joseon Dynasty. The government-owned handicraft industry in the Joseon Dynasty was composed of craftsmen belonging to central and local government offices and was operated mainly by government-owned craftsmen. The inlay craftsman was transferred to the central government office and was in charge of inlay poetry for crafts. The current records of Korean inlay craftsmen are concentrated in the state-owned handicraft industry. In the state-owned handicraft industry, the government offices of inlay craftsmen can be divided into Kongjo (工造), Sangeuiwon (尙衣院), and the military. Here the election of a temporary government office for airspace is added. The government offices and military inlay craftsmen who use inlay crafts are assigned, and the inlay craftsmen are placed separately in the temporary office where the fine division of labor is developed. It can be made by utilizing craftsmen. The operation of these production systems was indispensable in pre-modern Korean society, where crafts had to be produced by hand. In this paper, we investigated the roles and job types of craftsmen in the state-owned handicraft industry during the Joseon Dynasty, focusing on inlay craftsmen. Although the details applied to the characteristics and materials of the field, labor supply and demand, etc. are different, Korea pursued crafts for various purposes through craftsmanship within the framework of the basic state-owned handicraft policy . The institutional equipment for implementation was almost common. We believe that adding and analyzing some literature records and relics will help us to study the crafts of the Joseon era in more detail.

With the outbreak of COVID-19 a few years ago, video conferencing and electronic document work have increased, and for this reason, the proportion of computer work among modern people's daily routines is increasing. However, as more and more people work on computers in the wrong posture for a long time, the number of patients with poor eyesight and text neck is increasing. Until recently, many studies have been published to correct posture, but most of them have limitations that users may experience discomfort because they have to correct posture by wearing equipment. A posture correction sensor algorithm is proposed to prevent access to the minimum distance between a computer monitor and a person using an ultrasonic sensor device. At this time, an algorithm for minimizing false alarms among warning alarms that sound at the minimum distance is also proposed. Because the ultrasonic sensor device is used, posture correction can be performed without attaching a device to the body, and the user can relieve discomfort. In addition, experimental results showed that accuracy can be improved by reducing false alarms by removing more than half of the noise generated during distance measurement.

This is a qualitative research study in which three families focused on scientific culture and conducted the process of forming a family fandom using ethnography. The ultimate goal of science education is the "cultivation of scientifically literate persons.", The researcher examines families who regularly participate in informal science educational programs, such as those offered by the National Marine Biodiversity Institute of Korea, to understand the cultural ans sociological significance of these activities as part of their daily routines. This study analyzes and summarizes the experiences of three families in different home environments as to the completion of the family fandom through the process of self-sustaining cultural practice formation through family education activities, and science activities. This study found that the process tword completion is more meaningful than the completion itself, in the context of science, culture, family and fandom. The findings of this study are as follows: 1) The process of forming a family fandom began with the individual purpose of each family member. 2) The process of fandom formation was created in an organic relationship through the interaction between parents and children, and the self-sustaining cultural practice strengthened the bond and expanded the consensus on scientific culture. 3) Parents and children together share scientific culture, and unique culture in the form of sharing in their own cultural life as becoming scientifically literate people. The self-sustaining cultural practice of selecting and enjoying these scientific activities is not simple consumption of popular culture, but the role of parents as cultural designers. This has conducted experiential consumption as "refined (or sophisticated) cultural consumers," and family leisure activities as meaning production of family members so it has social and cultural implications that can be developed into a scientific culture.

Objectives: This study aimed to develop educational content for a smartphone app on oral muscle training and examine its effects on the elderly population. Methods: A total of twelve training sessions were delivered through the smartphone app over a six-week period, from late August to early October 2023. Each session lasted approximately 60 minutes. Participants were followed up after the program. Results: The experimental group showed significant improvements in oral health before and after using the smartphone app. These improvements included decreased dental plaque (p<0.05) by 0.69 units, decreased gingivitis (p<0.001) by 0.99 units, decreased tongue plaque (p<0.01) by 1.11 units, increased salivary secretion rate (p<0.001) by 0.73 units, increased hard palate strength (p<0.001) by 5.25 units, and increased soft palate strength (p<0.01) by 6.82 units. Compared to the control group, the experimental group showed significant improvements in dental plaque (p<0.001), gingivitis (p<0.001), and tongue coating (p<0.01). Conclusions: This study found that oral muscle strengthening training using the smartphone app effectively improved oral health in the elderly. The developed app content has the potential to be a valuable tool for promoting oral health in this population within their daily routines. However, further efforts are needed to ensure clear communication and effective utilization of the training program through user training or educational materials.
Objectives: The object of this experiment was to evaluate the effect of sleep deprivation on mood states of normal adults using a subjective scale and an objective scale, minimizing the effect of other factors other than that of sleep deprivation. Methods: Seventy volunteers were first participated in this sleep deprivation schedule, and 36 of them completed this experiment. The subjects and the control group members were all in their early 20's (mean $age=20.8{\pm}1.35$ vs $20.6{\pm}1.10$) and in good health. A log was checked by these subjects from a week before the laboratory study started. Drugs, alcohol and beverages containing any caffeine had been prohibited for a week before and during sleep deprivation periods. The study was performed only in summer to control other factors like sunlight, temperature and moisture. Before this experiment, the subjects had slept adequately for a week at least. On day 1 of the experiment the subjects got up at 6 a.m. and stayed in a sleep laboratory without sunlight or external noises. They could only go about their daily routines. They were forbidden to have a nap and be drowsy. GVA (Global Vigor and Affect) and MADRS (Montgomery-Asberg Depression Rating Scale) were checked 11 times. The data was analysed focusing on the changing mood states. Results: The mood during sleep deprivation became worse as the sleep deprivation time progressed. Especially 20 hours ($GA=59.25{\pm}8.06$, $MADRS=3.43{\pm}1.25$) and 40 hours ($GA=38.83{\pm}9.22$, $MADRS=6.08{\pm}1.46$) after sleep deprivation, there were significant changes compared to the control group ($MADRS=6.08{\pm}1.46$ vs $1.07{\pm}1.18$, p<0.001). Conclusions: While controlling factors other than sleep deprivation might have had some influence on mood changes, significant mood changes during sleep deprivation were observed. The mood states became worse as the sleep deprivation progressed.
The Confucian ruling class of the Joseon Dynasty regarded Buddhist rituals as "dangerous festivals." However, these Buddhist ceremonies facilitated transitions between phases of life from birth till death and strengthened communal unity through their joint practice of the rites. Ritual spaces were decorated with various utensils and objects that transformed them into wondrous arenas. Of these ornaments, Buddhist paintings served as the most effective visual medium for educating the common people. As an example, a painting of the Ten Kings of the Underworld (siwangdo) could be hung as a means to illustrate the Buddhist view of the afterlife, embedded in images not only inside a Buddhist temple hall, but in any space where a Buddhist ritual was being held. Demand for Buddhist paintings rose considerably with their use in ritual spaces. Nectar ritual paintings (gamnodo), including scenes of appeasement rites for the souls of the deceased, emphasized depictions of royal family members and their royal relatives. In Chinese paintings of the water and land ceremony (suryukjae), these figures referred to one of several sacred groups who invited deities to a ritual. However, in Korean paintings of a nectar ritual, the iconography symbolized the patronage of the royal court and underlined the historicity and tradition of nationally conducted water and land ceremonies. This royal patronage implied the social and governmental sanction of Buddhist rituals. By including depictions of royal family members and their royal relatives, Joseon Buddhist paintings highlighted this approval. The Joseon ruling class outwardly feared that Buddhist rituals might undermine observance of Confucian proprieties and lead to a corruption of public morals, since monks and laymen, men and women, and people of all ranks mingled within the ritual spaces. The concern of the ruling class was also closely related to the nature of festivals, which involved deviation from the routines of daily life and violation of taboos. Since visual media such as paintings were considered to hold a special power, some members of the ruling class attempted to exploit this power, while others were apprehensive of the risks they entailed. According to Joseon wangjo sillok (The Annals of the Joseon Dynasty), the Joseon royal court burned Buddhist paintings and ordered the arrest of those who created them, while emphasizing their dangers. It further announced that so many citizens were gathering in Buddhist ritual spaces that the capital city was being left vacant. However, this record also paradoxically suggests that Buddhist rituals were widely considered festivals that people should participate in. Buddhist rituals could not be easily suppressed since they performed important religious functions reflecting the phases of the human life cycle, and had no available Confucian replacements. Their festive nature, unifying communities, expanded significantly at the time. The nectar ritual paintings of the late Joseon period realistically delineated nectar rituals and depicted the troops of traveling actors and performers that began to emerge during the seventeenth century. Such Buddhist rituals for consoling souls who encountered an unfortunate death were held annually and evolved into festivals during which the Joseon people relieved their everyday fatigue and refreshed themselves. The process of adopting Buddhist rituals-regarded as "dangerous festivals" due to political suppression of Buddhism in the Confucian nation-as seasonal customs and communal feasts is well reflected in the changes made in Buddhist paintings.
