열병합발전시스템에서 유전알고리즘을 적용한 단기운전계획 수립 (Short-term Operation Scheduling of Cogeneration Systems Using Genetic Algorithm)

  • 본 논문은 에너지 효율이 높은 열병합발전시스템을 대상으로 유전알고리즘을 적용하여 단기운전계획을 수립하였다. 특히 열병합발전시스템의 효율은 약 70%이지만 효율이 일정하지 않을 뿐만 아니라 비선형적인 특징을 가지므로 실제 산업체의 열병합발전소의 데이터를 기초로 하여 적합한 가변효율방정식을 구하였다. 또한 본 논문에서 적용된 유전알고리즘은 계산시간의 감소와 높은 정밀도를 가진 실변수 유전알고리즘으로 시뮬레이션 하였다. 그 결과로 가변효율을 가진 열병합발전시스템의 단기운전계획이 유전알고리즘을 적용하여 적절하게 운전계획이 수립되고 있음을 나타내었으며 각종 보조설비가 유연성 있게 협력하며 필요시마다 효율적으로 운전되고 있음을 확인하였다.

신재생에너지 단독주택 모델 냉방운전의 선형계획법 기반 운전 최적화 연구 (Optimal Cooling Operation of a Single Family House Model Equipped with Renewable Energy Facility by Linear Programming)

  • Optimal cooling operation algorithm was developed based on a simulation case of a single family house model equipped with renewable energy facility. EnergyPlus simulation results were used as virtual test data. The model contained three energy storage elements: thermal heat capacity of the living room, chilled water storage tank, and battery. Their charging and discharging schedules were optimized so that daily electricity bill became minimal. As an optimization tool, linear programming was considered because it was possible to obtain results in real time. For its adoption, EnergyPlus-based house model had to be linearly approximated. Results of this study revealed that dynamic cooling load of the living room could be approximated by a linear RC model. Scheduling based on the linear programming was then compared to that by a nonlinear optimization algorithm which was made using GenOpt developed by a national lab in USA. They showed quite similar performances. Therefore, linear programming can be a practical solution to optimal operation scheduling if linear dynamic models are tuned to simulate their real equivalents with reasonable accuracy.

인공신경망 모델을 이용한 냉동기 및 공조기 최적 기동/정지 제어 (Artificial Neural Network Models for Optimal Start and Stop of Chiller and AHU)

  • BEMS(Building Energy Management Systems) have been applied to office buildings and collect relevant building energy data, e.g. temperatures, mass flow rates and energy consumptions of building mechanical systems and indoor spaces. The aforementioned measured data can be beneficially utilized for developing data-driven machine learning models which can be then used as part of MPC(Model Predictive Control) and/or optimal control strategies. In this study, the authors developed ANN(Artificial Neural Network) models of an AHU (Air Handling Unit) and a chiller for a real-life office building using BEMS data. Based on the ANN models, the authors developed optimal control strategies, e.g. daily operation schedule with regard to optimal start and stop of the AHU and the chiller (500 RT). It was found that due to the optimal start and stop of the AHU and the chiller, 4.5% and 16.4% of operation hours of the AHU and the chiller could be saved, compared to an existing operation.

육성비육돈용 자동급이기 사료공급장치 개발에 관한 연구 (Development of the Automatic Feeder for Growing-finishing Pigs)

  • 본 연구는 사료 급여량 자동조절 및 사료의 허실을 최소화하며 구조가 간단한 육성비 육돈용 자동급이기 개발을 위해 수행하였다. 개발 시작형 자동급이기의 주요 구성은 사료저장조, 사료이송장치, 사료이송제어장치, 사료진타장치, 프로그램머블 IC, 개인용 컴퓨터로 구성되었다. 개발 시작형 자동급이기의 가루사료의 초당 평균 이송량은 $9.83{\pm}0.4\;g$, 이었다. 개발 시작형 자동급이기를 이용 체중 43 kg 내외 육성돈(렌드레이셔)을 공시 6주 동안 콘크리트 돈방에서 사양 시험을 실시하였다. 개발 시작형 자동급이기는 사료공급 시간을 2초, 3, 4, 5, 6초로 설정, 검증시험을 수행 하였다. 개발 시작형 자동급이기 일일 급이기 방문 빈도는 사료이송 구동시간에 관계없이 05~11시와 11시부터 17시 사이에 집중적 이었다. 사료허실을 줄이기 위하여 개발 시작형 자동급이기 사료이송 시간은 2~4초 이내가 적절한 것으로 나타났다. 개발 시작형 자동급이기의 사료이송 기준 6초를 제외하고, 개발 시작형 자동급이기가 관행 급이기보다 시험 전기간 평균 일당 종체량(0.8~0.9 kg)은 같거나 높고, 일일 사료섭취량과 (2.76~2.93 kg), 사료요구율 (3,10~3.66)은 같거나 낮은 것으로 나타났다. 이상 결과를 일당증체, 사료섭취량, 사료요구율, 사료 허실량 등을 종합 해보면 육성비육돈용으로 개발 시작형 자동급이기 이용이 가능할 것으로 사료된다.

서낙동강 수문 운영에 따른 동적 수질 변화 연구 (A Study on Dynamic Water Quality Change for Gate Operation in Seonakdong River)

  • 호소형 하천으로 정체수역 특성을 갖는 서낙동강에서의 대저수문 유입량과 녹산수문 방류량은 오염총량관리 시행계획 대상유역인 낙본N 단위유역의 수질관리에 있어서 매우 중요한 영향을 미친다. 하지만 기준유량을 산정하기 위한 실측자료는 매우 부족하고, 대저수문과 녹산수문의 운영자료는 수문개도시 최대가능방류량만을 사용하고 있으므로 실측 방류량과는 많은 차이를 보이고 있다. 본 연구에서는 대저수문과 녹산수문의 운영자료를 수집하고, 이를 환경부 수질측정망 월별 수질변화와의 비교를 통해 분석하였다. 또한 대저수문과 녹산수문의 운영에 따른 서낙동강 본류의 비정상상태의 유량변화와 이에 따른 수질변화를 실측하였다. 낙동강 본류 수위, 서낙동강 수위, 조위 등의 영향을 받는 대저수문 유입과 녹산수문 방류에 의한 서낙동강 유량변화를 실측하였으며, 이는 대저수문과 녹산수문의 최적 운영을 통한 서낙동강의 수질 개선 대책 수립의 기초자료로 활용될 수 있을 것으로 판단된다.

BESS를 적용한 계통연계형 PV시스템의 운전특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Operating Characteristics for the Grid Interconnected PV System with BESS)

  • Photovoltaic is an attractive technology to remote power applications, because of its reliability, low maintenance, and zero fuel requirements. In this paper represents residential PV system based on BESS(battery energy storage system) for managing the electric power, a pattern of daily operation considering the load characteristics of the house, the generation characteristics of PV power, and utility power leveling. For apply to control algorithm, we consider the load on monthly power consumption trend and daily usage pattern. As for the control of the proposed system, to increase the conversion efficiency of the PV power, bidirectional converter is used for MPPT and SPWM inverter. An experimental system is implemented, and some experimental results are provided to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed system.

병원 건물에 설치된 냉각탑 병용 지열 히트펌프 시스템의 냉방 성능 (Cooling Performance of Cooling Tower-Assisted Ground-Coupled Heat Pump (GCHP) System Applied in Hospital Building)

  • This paper presents the measurement and analysis results for the cooling performance of ground-coupled heat pump (GCHP) system using a cooling tower as a supplemental heat rejector. In order to demonstrate the performance of the hybrid approach, we installed the monitoring equipments including sensors for measuring temperature and power consumption, and measured operation parameters from May 1 to October 30, 2014. The results showed that the entering source temperature of brine returning from the ground heat exchanger was in a range of design target temperature. Leaving load temperatures to building showed an average value of $11.4^{\circ}C$ for cooling season. From the analysis, the daily performance factor (PF) of geothermal heat pumps ranged from 4.4 to 5.2, while the daily PF of hybrid GCHP system varied from 3.0 to 4.0 over the entire cooling season.

Rainwater Harvesting System as an Alternative Water Source

  • The objectives of this study were to install RCR systems at a typical single family house and a school in Alabama, and evaluate the feasibility and efficiency of using the RCR systems for water harvesting in Alabama. The RCR systemswere equipped with a control system and a CR10X data logger to monitor the system operation and to collect data on precipitation, temperature, overflow, water depth in the storage tank and daily uses of toilet flushing. Daily average water use of the home for toilet flushing was 95 liter and 2100 liter was used at the school during the school days. Rainwater harvesting efficiency was 83.3 and 89 percent and RCR use efficiency was 18 and 98 percent from the home and the school, respectively. A computer program was developed to estimate potential effectiveness of RCR systems. From the analysis result with 10 years rainfall data, a total of 67,000 liters of rainwater could be harvested for domestic uses from a typical single family house which supplies 190 liters per day.

  • This paper describes a strategy of a daily optimal operational scheduling in cogeneration system for paper mill. The cogeneration system selected to establish the scheduling consists of three units and several auxiliary devices. One unit generates electrical and thermal energy using the back pressure turbine. The rest two units generate the energy using the extraction condensing turbine. Three auxiliary boilers, two waste boilers and three sludge incinerators operate to supply energy to the loads with three units. The cogeneration system is able to supply enough the thermal energy to the thermal load, however it can not sufficiently supply the electrical power to the electrical load. Therefore the insufficient electric energy is compensated by buying electrical energy from utility. When the operational scheduling is performed considering the environmental problem. This paper shows the simulation results for daily operational scheduling obtained using the evolutionary algorithm. This results reveal that the proposed modeling and strategy can be effectively applied to cogeneration system for paper mill.

Designing an Intelligent Rehabilitation Wheelchair Vehicle System Using Neural Network-based Torque Control Algorithm

  • This paper proposes a novel intelligent wheelchair vehicle system that enables upper limb exercises, lower limb standing exercises and rehabilitation training in a daily life. The proposed system, which can be used to prevent at least the degeneration of body movements and further atrophy of musculoskeletal system functions, considers the characteristics and mobility of the old and the disabled. Its main purpose is to help the old and the disabled perform their daily activities as much as they can, minimizing the extent of secondary disabilities. In other words, the system will provide the old and the disabled with regular and quantitative rehabilitation exercises and diagnosis using the wheelchair-based upper/lower limb rehabilitation vehicle system and then verify their effectiveness. The system comprises an electric wheelchair, a biometric module to identify individual characteristics, and an upper/lower limb rehabilitation vehicle. In this paper the design and configuration of the developed vehicle is described, and its operation method is presented. Moreover, to verify the tracking performance of the proposed system, dangerous situations according to biosignal changes occurring during the rehabilitation exercise of a non-disabled examinee are analyzed and the performance of the upper/lower limb rehabilitation exercise function depending on muscle strength is evaluated through a neural network algorithm.
