볼 그리드 배열 기판의 X-ray 영상에서의 새로운 덩어리 검출 필터를 이용한 기포 형태 결함 검출 방법 (Detection of Void Defects in Ball Grid Array X-ray Image Using a New Blob Filter)

  • 작은 크기 다양한 입출력 포트 등의 많은 이점으로 PCB 회로기판에서 볼그리드배열(BGA) 방식의 기판이 사용되고 있다 하지만 BGA 기판 내부 기포는 기판의 성능을 떨어뜨리고 실패를 야기한다 자동적으로 X-ray 영상에서 기포를 검출하기 위해서 본 논문에서는 국부 영상 명암 변량 측정 방법을 이용한 새로운 덩어리 검출기를 제안한다 국부 영상 명암 변량의 활용은 영상의 밝기 기포의 모양, 기포의 위치 및 부품간의 간섭등에도 연산 결과에 영향이 적은 불변성을 가진다. 또한 박스 필터의 다양한 사이즈를 적용하여 다양한 크기의 영상을 분석하므로 결과적으로 제안한 덩어리 검출 필터는 기포의 다양한 크기에 도강력하다. 실험 결과는 제안한 기법이 정상 부위를 비정상 부위 로보이는 확률false-ratio)을 낮게 유지하면서 기포 검출률을96.104% 까지 높일 수있음을 보인다.

Coexistence of plant species under harsh environmental conditions: an evaluation of niche differentiation and stochasticity along salt marsh creeks

  • Background: Ecologists have achieved much progress in the study of mechanisms that maintain species coexistence and diversity. In this paper, we reviewed a wide range of past research related to these topics, focusing on five theoretical bodies: (1) coexistence by niche differentiation, (2) coexistence without niche differentiation, (3) coexistence along environmental stress gradients, (4) coexistence under non-equilibrium versus equilibrium conditions, and (5) modern perspectives. Results: From the review, we identified that there are few models that can be generally and confidently applicable to different ecological systems. This problem arises mainly because most theories have not been substantiated by enough empirical research based on field data to test various coexistence hypotheses at different spatial scales. We also found that little is still known about the mechanisms of species coexistence under harsh environmental conditions. This is because most previous models treat disturbance as a key factor shaping community structure, but they do not explicitly deal with stressful systems with non-lethal conditions. We evaluated the mainstream ideas of niche differentiation and stochasticity for the coexistence of plant species across salt marsh creeks in southwestern Denmark. The results showed that diversity indices, such as Shannon-Wiener diversity, richness, and evenness, decreased with increasing surface elevation and increased with increasing niche overlap and niche breadth. The two niche parameters linearly decreased with increasing elevation. These findings imply a substantial influence of an equalizing mechanism that reduces differences in relative fitness among species in the highly stressful environments of the marsh. We propose that species evenness increases under very harsh conditions if the associated stress is not lethal. Finally, we present a conceptual model of patterns related to the level of environmental stress and niche characteristics along a microhabitat gradient (i.e., surface elevation). Conclusions: The ecology of stressful systems with non-lethal conditions will be increasingly important as ongoing global-scale climate change extends the period of chronic stresses that are not necessarily fatal to inhabiting plants. We recommend that more ecologists continue this line of research.

3차원 스캔 데이터에 의한 노년 남성의 발 측면유형 분류 (Classification of Elderly Men's Foot Side Type from 3D Scan Data)

  • This study identifies the foot side shapes of elderly men by classifying foot types according to 3D foot shapes and analyzing individual characteristics. The subjects were 284 elderly men over 60 years of age who lived in Gwangju and did not have foot related diseases. They were measured with a scanner (Nexcan$^{(R)}$ of K&I Technology) to obtain three dimensional feet shapes. Anthropometric measuring items consisted of 28 items estimated on the right foot of each subject. 3D scan data were analyzed by various statistical methods such as factor analysis, ANOVA and cluster analysis using the statistical program SPSS 19.0. A total of 7 factors were extracted through a factor analysis and these factors represent 77.56% of total variance. The 8 factors were: inside height and side gradient, ankle thickness, size from foot center to ankle, lateral malleolus height, forefoot height, instep and heel height and gradient. A total of 3 clusters (as foot type) were categorized using 7 factor scores by cluster analysis. Type 1 was classified as high forefoot and low midfoot compared to the length. Type 2 was classified as low forefoot and high midfoot, and type 3 was classified as low forefoot and low midfoot.

Two-Step Fed-Batch Culture of Recombinant Escherichia coli for Production of Bacillus licheniformis Maltogenic Amylase

  • Two-step fed-batch fermentations were carried out to overproduce Bacillus licheniformis maltogenic amylase (BLMA) in recombinant Escherichia coli. The first step was to increase the cell mass by controlling the feeding of a glucose solution, while the second step was designed to improve the amylase expression efficiency by supplementing organic nitrogen sources. The linear gradient feeding method was successfully adopted to maintain the glucose concentration below 0.2 g/l during the fed-batch mode, as effectively minimizing acetic acid formation. When the dissolved oxygen (DO) level became limiting, an accumulation of acetic acid and drastic decrease in specific BLMA productivity were observed. Glucose and organic nitrogen sources consisting of yeast extract and casein hydrolysate were simultaneously supplied in the pH-stat mode to further increase the specific BLMA expression efficiency. An organic nitrogen source consisting of 200 g/1 yeast extract and 100 g/1 casein hydrolysate was found to be the best among the various combinations tested. The feeding of an organic nitrogen source in the second-step fed-batch period was highly beneficial in enhancing the BLMA production. The optimized two-step fed-batch culture resulted in 78 g/l maximum dry cell mass and 443 U/ml maximum BLMA activity, corresponding to 1.5-fold increase in the dry cell mass and 3.7-fold enhancement in BLMA production, compared with the simple fed-batch fermentation.

Comparison of Cost Function of IMRT Optimization with RTP Research Tool Box (RTB)

  • A PC based software, the RTP Research Tool Box (RTB), was developed for IMRT optimization research. The software was consisted of an image module, a beam registration module, a dose calculation module, a dose optimization module and a dose display module. The modules and the Graphical User Interface (GUI) were designed to easily amendable by negotiating the speed of performing tasks. Each module can be easily replaced to new functions for research purpose. IDL 5.5 (RSI, USA) language was used for this software. Five major modules enable one to perform the research on the dose calculation, on the dose optimization and on the objective function. The comparison of three cost functions, such as the uncomplicated tumor control probability (UTCP), the physical objective function and the pseudo-biological objective function, which was designed in this study, were performed with the RTB. The optimizations were compared to the simulated annealing and the gradient search optimization technique for all of the optimization objective functions. No significant differences were found among the objective functions with the dose gradient search technique. But the DVH analysis showed that the pseudo-biological objective function is superior to the physical objective function when with the simulated annealing for the optimization.

전북 장수군 수분치의 하천쟁탈에 관한 연구 (A study on the Stream Piracy at Subunchi in Jangsu-Gun, Jeonlabuk-Do, Korea)

  • 하천쟁탈은 산지에서 나타나는 역동적인 지형학적 프로세스의 하나로, 특정 지역에 하천쟁탈이 집중된다면 그것은 그 지역의 지질구조와 지반운동을 반영한 것으로 볼 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 지리산지와 덕유산지 사이 저지대에서 나타나는 하천쟁탈과 포항-광주의 지질 구조선 및 한산산맥과의 관련성에 대해 살펴보았다. 수분치의 하천쟁탈은 저위분지를 지나며 고도가 낮고 경사가 급한 섬진강 상류와 고도가 높고 경사가 완만한 고위분지를 흐르는 금강 상류 사이에서 발생한 것이다. 수분분지 주변에서는 하천쟁탈에 관한 다양한 지형학적 증거와 두부침식에 대한 인간의 대응을 확인할 수 있다. 하천쟁탈의 지형학적 프로세스를 한눈에 확인할 수 있는 수분치는 주변의 뜬봉샘(금강의 발원지)과 더불어 지리교육뿐만 아니라 지오투어리즘의 좋은 사이트가 될 수 있다.

규격부재를 사용한 구조물 최적설계 (Optimal Design of Structures with Standardized Structural Members)

  • 본 논문에는 최적설계 시 설계변수를 미리 정해진 유한 개의 숫자로 구성된 집합에서 선택함으로써 규격부재를 사용하여 구조물을 최적설계하는 방법에 대한 연구 결과가 수록되었다. 본 연구에서는 일차로 설계변수가 연속적으로 변할 수 있는 경우의 연속최적해를 구한 후 이로부터 가까이 있으며 제한조건을 위배하지 않는 가최적해(Pseudo-optimum)을 주어진 설계변수의 집합으로부터 선택하고, 이를 개선하여 목적함수를 최소화하는 최종 불연속최적해를 찾는 방법을 사용하였으며, 이를 최척화 기법의 하나인 미분벡터 투영법 (Gradient Projection Method)과 결합하여 문제 해결을 시도하였다. 개발된 방법을 이용하여 응력, 변위 몇 생계변수 제약조건들이 포함된 각종 트러스 구조물을 설계한 결과 이 방법이 설계변수가 규격을 만족시켜야 하는 최적설계 문제에 광범위하게 적용될 수 있음이 밝혀졌다.

Space-time-dissociated differential sedimentation and its relationship with the rate of relative sea-level change: the Lower Ordovician Mungok Formation, Korea

  • Hierarchically controlled sequence stratigraphic analysis shows that the Lower Ordovician mixed carbonate-siliciclastic Mungok Formation, Korea consists of three depositional sequences: T1, T2, and T3. Sequence boundaries are generally marked by abrupt transition from coarse-grained shallow-water carbonates to fine-grained deeper-water carbonates mixed with fine-grained siliciclastics, and show indication of subaerial exposure such as karstification. Within this sequence stratigraphic framework, facies characteristics indicate that the Mungok sequences were mostly deposited in subtidal ramp environments. High-frequency cycles consist of upward-shallowing facies successions. Cycles of shallow-water and basinal deposits are not represented well, probably due to cycle amalgamation. Cycle stacking patterns do not show a consistent thickness change that reflects a large-scale sea-level change due to unfilled accommodation space. The Mungok sequences show that many factors including relative sea-level change and topography are involved in controlling sequence development on carbonate ramps. The depositional setting evolved from the high-energy ramps in the sequences T1 and T2 into the low-energy ramp in the sequence T3. Topography is interpreted to have been responsible for the different energy regimes of the carbonate ramps in the Mungok sequences. The high ramp gradient in the sequences T1 and T2 seems to be caused by space-time-dissociated differential sedimentation resulting in spatially narrow distribution of sediment filling, which in turn may be related to high rate of relative sea-level change. In contrast, low ramp gradient was maintained in the sequence T3 during slow changes of relative sea level resulting in broad distribution of sediment filling.

토지 실거래가격 추정을 위한 공동 크리깅기법의 적용가능성 연구 (A Study for Applicability of Cokriging Techniques for Estimating the Real Transaction Price of Land)

  • 최근 부동산거래의 투명성과 공평과세의 기반을 마련하고자 부동산 실거래가격의 활용에 대한 필요성이 증가하고 있다. 본 연구는 부동산 실거래가격의 활용과정에서 실거래 미발생지점에 대한 효과적인 가격추정을 위해 실거래 가격 및 고도, 경사도를 통합한 공동크리깅의 적용 가능성을 연구하였다. 이를 위해 경북 영천시의 2012년 1월부터 2014년 6월까지의 실거래 자료를 활용하여 실거래가격을 추정하였으며, 이를 정규크리깅 추정결과와 비교하였다. 추정된 가격과 2,575개 검증 지점의 실거래가격 사이 평균 오차, 평균제곱근오차 등을 분석한 결과 정규크리깅에 비해 공동크리깅 결과가 실거래가 추정과 현실화 측면에서 모두 효과적인 것으로 나타났다. 이는 지가형성에 영향을 미치는 고도, 경사 등의 영향요인이 고려되는 공동크리깅이 실거래가 추정에서 더 효과적임을 보여준다.

재생 쥐간에서 분리한 DNA topoisomerase II에 결합된 protein kinase 활성 (The Identification of Type II DNA Topoisomerase-Associated Protein Kinase Activity from Regenerating Rat Liver)

  • 재생쥐간에서 분리한 topoisomerase II에서 protein kinase 활성이 발견되었다. ,topo II 활성 및 kinase 활성은 hydroxyapatite, phosphocellulose, double strand DNA cellulose chromatography 등의 순수 분리 과정 중에도 서로 분리되지 않았으며 glycerol gradient sedimentation 분석에서도 같은 분획에서 활성이 존재하였다. Kinase는 topo II 저해제인 N-ethylmaleimide와 novobiocin 등에 의해 그 활성이 저해되었다. 그러나 이러한 증거들 만으로 kinase 활성이 topo II가 아닌 다른 polypeptide에 의한 것일 가능성을 완전히 배제 할 수는 없다. Topo II와 결합된 kinase 활성에는 Mg++가 절대적으로 필요하였으며 다른 일가 또는 이가 이온으로는 그 효과가 대체되지 않았다. Histone H1은 kinase 활성을 증가 시키며 또 kinase에 의해 강하게 인산화된다. 이러한 효과는 다른 histone 류 및 casein 등에 의해 대체되지 않았다.
