Design and Verification of Efficient On-Chip Debugger for Core-A (Core-A를 위한 효율적인 On-Chip Debugger 설계 및 검증)

  • Nowadays, the SoC is watched by all over the world with interest. The design trend of the SoC is hardware and software co-design which includes the design of hardware structure in RTL level and the development of embedded software. Also the technology is toward deep-submicron and the observability of the SoC's internal state is not easy. Because of the above reasons, the SoC debug is very difficult and time-consuming. So we need a reliable debugger to find the bugs in the SoC and embedded software. In this paper, we developed a hardware debugger named OCD. It is based on IEEE 1140.1 JTAG standard. In order to verify the operation of OCD, it is integrated into the 32bit RISC processor - Core-A (Core-A is the unique embedded processor designed by Korea) and is tested by interconnecting with software debugger. When embedding the OCD in Core-A, there is 14.7% gate count overhead. We can modify the DCU which occupies 2% gate count in OCD to adapt with other processors as a debugger.

  • The existing smart grid device authentication system is concentrated on DCU, meter reading FEP and MDMS, and the authentication system for smart meters is not established. Although some cryptographic chips have been developed at present, it is difficult to complete the PKI authentication scheme because it is at the low level of simple encryption. Unlike existing power grids, smart grids are based on open two-way communication, increasing the risk of accidents as information security vulnerabilities increase. However, PKI is difficult to apply to smart meters, and there is a possibility of accidents such as system shutdown by sending manipulated packets and sending false information to the operating system. Issuing an existing PKI certificate to smart meters with high hardware constraints makes authentication and certificate renewal difficult, so an ultra-lightweight password authentication protocol that can operate even on the poor performance of smart meters (such as non-IP networks, processors, memory, and storage space) was designed and implemented. As a result of the experiment, lightweight cryptographic authentication protocol was able to be executed quickly in the Cortex-M3 environment, and it is expected that it will help to prepare a more secure authentication system in the smart grid industry.

Analysis of Train Operation Obstacle Using Number of Failures and Delay Time of Electric Door System (전기식 도어시스템의 고장건수 및 지연시간을 활용한 열차운행장애 분석)

  • This paper analyzes functions of component parts of D-Urban Railway's door system along with operation obstacle risks on frequency(the number of occurrences/year) and severity(delay time/the number of occurrences). Based on this, the paper presents improvements and current system's problems after obstacle risks of EMU and door system are appled. The obstacle of door system causes corrosion of main parts such as DCU due to heat problem of operation environment, problems of maintenance methods and deterioration. DCUs on PCBs with more than 50% pattern corrosion cause problems. Even though the number of door system's obstacle occurrences for the last 5 years is 42, along with 104 minutes of operation obstacle, EMU operation obstacle risk is low(Level 1), which indicates there is limit in matrix of railway risks presented by the standard of railway safety management system. Therefore, it is necessary to have railway risk matrix suitable for the field. Finally, the paper deducts the obstacle risks through frequency and severity. Since 2017 when the risks of EMU and door system's obstacle, that of EMU has been 24(47% reduced) and that of door system has been average 9.5 per year(23% reduced).

Investigation on the DeNOx Efficiency in Urea-SCR System at Various Operating Conditions and Injection Characteristics for a Passenger Diesel Engine (승용디젤엔진의 운전 조건 및 분사 조건 변경에 따른 Urea-SCR 시스템의 NOx 전환효율에 관한 연구)

  • Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) system is a high-effective NOx reduction technology in diesel engines. As the emission standard of diesel engines is more stringent, vehicle manufactures makes efforts on emission technologies. This paper discusses the performance of Urea-SCR system according to the engine operating conditions in a passenger diesel engine. Engine test results in this paper show that it is important to consider the catalyst temperature and space velocity to obtain high NOx conversion efficiency. In condition of high catalyst temperature, over 90% NOx conversion efficiency is indicated. However, when catalyst temperature is low, NOx conversion efficiency was decreased. Also, it was shown that space velocity mainly effects on the DeNOx performance under 220 degree celsius of SCR catalyst temperature. As the urea injection pressure was decreased, NOx conversion efficiency was declined. It is concerned about urea droplet atomization. This work shown in this paper can lead to improved overall NOx conversion efficiency.

  • This paper deals a watt-hour meter monitor system applying a Power Line Communication (PLC) MODEM and a Data Concentrator Unit (DCU) which can apply to Internet map based Graphical User Interface (GUI). The PLC MODEM is profitable by saving the cost of installing dedicated wiring, and Internet map GUI also is able to contribute an easy access to monitoring system for non export users. This system makes it possible to monitor the amount of electricity of previous/ current month metering data via Internet mapping service. The implement system can easily apply a PC-management for the electric charges and maintenance with gathering the metering data.

  • Purpose The purpose of this study is to select the electronic architecture concept of the powertrain domain of the electronic platform to be applied to electric vehicles after 2025. Previously, the automotive electrical and electronic architecture was determined only by trend analysis, but the purpose was to determine the scenario based on the data and select it with clear evaluation indicators. Design/methodology/approach This study identified the function to be applied to the powertrain domain of next-generation electric vehicle, estimated the controller, defined the function feature list, organized the scenario candidates with the controller list and function feature list, and selected the final architecture scenario. Findings According to the research results, the powertrain domain of electric vehicles was selected as the architectural concept to apply the DCU (Domain Control Unit) and VCU (Vehicle Control Unit) integrated architecture to next-generation electric vehicles. Although it is disadvantageous or equivalent in terms of cost, it was found to be excellent in most indicators such as stability, security, and hardware demand.

  • Recently emphasizing the importance of security such as national major institutions' facilities or major industrial facilities for the maintenance of security/crime prevention due to specialization of the Green Information Technology(G-IT) and Green Ubiquitous Technology(G-UT) industry fields, The Security System Building linked high technology within the government-related organization, enterprise and army the military is urgently required. This paper is about the green USN intelligent an unmanned guard MUX system that receive the signals, from alarm device within surveillance area, with various ways of communication techniques and then transmit to local control center and remote control server trough TCP/IP network. This study enables the mutual senergy effect by realizing a total solution of an unmanned guard system and also significantly contributes to the global/domestic market expansion. That can be applied to the crime prevention/security fields in the Green Ubiquitous Environment Implemented Business(survalance-Home, Gu-City, Gu-Health, etc.), and will contribute to expand companies with international competitiveness that can provide the Green Ubiquitous Vision(Gu-Vision).

  • We designed and implemented the attachable smart adapter for the general management of each company's agricultural machine regardless of whether it is equipped with a CAN (Controller Area Network) module. The smart adapter consists of a main board (Raspberry Pi3B), which operates agricultural machine's management software in Linux environment, and a self-developed interface board for power adjustment and status sensing. For the status monitoring, a sensing interface using a serial input was defined between the smart adapter and the sensors of the agricultural machine, and the state diagram of the agricultural machine was defined for diagnosis. We made a panel to simulate the sensors of the agricultural machine using the switch's on/off contact point, and confirmed the status monitoring and diagnostic functions by inputting each state of the farm machinery from the simulator panel.

  • This paper proposes a fully-utilized block-based 2D DWT architecture, which consists of four 1D DWT filters with two-channel QMF PR Lattice structure. For 100% hardware utilization, we propose a new method which processes four input values at the same time. On the contrary to the image-based 2D DWT which requires large memories, we propose a block-based 2D DWT so that we only need 2MN-3N of storages, where M and N stand for filter lengths and width of the image respectively. Furthermore, the proposed architecture processes in horizontal and vertical directions simultaneously so that it computes the DWT for an $N{\times}N$ image within a period of $N^2(1-2^{-2J})/3$. Compared to existing approaches, the proposed architecture shows 100% of hardware utilization and high throughput rate. However, the proposed architecture may suffer from the long critical path delay due to the cascaded lattices in 1D DWT filters. This problem can be mitigated by applying the pipeline technique with maximum four level. The proposed architecture has been designed with VerilogHDL and synthesized using DongbuAnam $0.18{\mu}m$ standard cell.

  • 영상측정기법을 적용하여 경제적이고 효율적인 유속 측정 방법에 대하여 많은 연구들이 진행되어 왔다. 현재 이동식 LSPIV 시스템은 실험실의 수리모형실험과 현장의 국부적인 유속측정에 효율적으로 이용되고 있지만, 고정식 LSPIV 시스템의 적용에는 많은 문제점들이 있어서 현장 적용이 미루어져왔다. 고정식 LSPIV 시스템은 수문분석에 많이 의존하고 있는 현재의 홍수량 산정에 좀 더 정확한 유속과 수위를 동시에 고려할 수 있는 하천유량측정 시스템이다. 이는 과거 하천유량측정 시 많은 비용과 인력 그리고 위험성들을 대폭 줄일 수 있는 현장 모니터링 시스템의 구축을 가능하게 해줄 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 LSPIV (Large Scale Particle Image Velocimetry) 시스템을 탄천(대곡교)에 설치하여 연속적으로 유량 측정을 하였다. 탄천(대곡교)에 적용된 고정식 LSPIV 시스템은 유속측정을 위한 디지털 카메라 2대와 컴퓨터 그리고 수위 측정을 위한 DCU1104 초음파 수위계로 구성된다. 위의 현장 장비들에서 들어온 실시간 영상과 수위자료는 CDMA 무선통신을 이용하여 서버컴퓨터로 들어와서 인터넷에서 손쉽게 받아 볼 수 있다. 이와 같이 실시간으로 들어온 입력 자료는 LSPIV 프로그램을 이용하여 언제 어디에서나 비교적 정확한 유량을 산정할 수 있다. 또한 실시간으로 들어오는 하천 영상을 통해 실시간 현장 모니터링도 가능하게 되고 시간적으로 연속적인 영상을 얻을 수 있기 때문에 하천 유량 변화를 쉽게 알 수 있다. 따라서 과거 현장에서 어렵게 측정하여 얻을 수 있던 유속자료를 간단한 실시간 영상 분석만으로 구할 수 있으므로 앞으로 유량조사에 유용하게 활용될 수 있을 것이다. 입체 영상) 입체영상은 영화에서 시작되었으나, 20c후반기에 들어서면서 애니메이션 분야와 모바일, 광고 패널, 텔레비전등의 매체를 이용한 입체 영상의 개발로 인하여 특정 분야에 한정 시킬 수 없으므로 영상으로 칭한다. 입체 영상은 21c에 들어서면서 영상매체의 한 분야로 급부상하고 있다. 1900년 무렵부터 연구된 입체영화(3-Dimensional motion Picture)는 In여 년이 지난 지금 대중화를 눈앞에 두고 있다. 국내에서는 놀이 동산이나 박물관등에서 흔히 볼 수 있다. 하지만 앞으로는 HDW등의 대중화로 화질의 발전을 이룬 텔레비전 분야 등에서 실용화 될 전망이다. 국제적인 흐름과 함께 국내에서도 입체 영화에 대한 연구가 활성화 되어 영상산업의 한 주류로서 대두되고 있다. 이러한 상황에서 입체영상에 대한 이해와 콘텐츠(Contents)의 개발은 기술적인 진보에 발맞추어 준비되어야 한다. 본 논문은 이러한 기술적인 계보에 발맞춘 영상 콘텐츠 개발에 박차를 가하고자 앞으로의 발전분야에 대한 기술적인 면과 기법적인 면을 제시하여 기술만 앞서고 내용은 수입하는 수입국이기 보다는 미리 준비하여 비전문가나 타국의 기술에 선점 당하지 않는 분야로 성장할 수 있는 진보적인 영상 인들의 관심과 지속적인 연구를 독려하고자 한다.시민의 휴식 및 여가선용 공간으로 활용하기 위한 사업의 기초자료로 활용되며 이미 설계검토가 시작되었다. 본 연구결과는 유수지 및 저수지의 환경개선 사업의 선두적인 성공사례로 국내 타 지역의 유사한 사업에 있어 벤치마킹을 할 수 있는 훌륭한 사례가 될 것이다.요 생산이 증가하자 군신의 변별(辨別)과 사치를 이유로 강력하게 규제하여 백자의 확대와 발전에 걸림돌이 되었다. 둘째, 동
