대청룡탕(大靑龍湯)이 DNCB로 유발된 생쥐의 아토피피부염에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Daecheonglyong-tang on Atopic Dermatitis Induced by DNCB in Mice)

  • Objectives : This study was designed to examine the effects of Daecheonglyong-tang(DCL) on atopic dermatitis induced by DNCB in mice Methods : The Nc/Nga mice were divided into 5 groups, and four groups excluding the normal group were applied by 2,4-dinitrochlorobenzene(DNCB), to cause AD and were orally administered with distilled water(negative control), dexamethasone(positive control), and DCL 200 or 400mg/kg once a day for 4 weeks respectively. The visual changes on skin, changes in skin tissue thickness and eosinophil infiltration were observed. IgE, Histamine, Cytokines, immune cells and the amount of gene expression of filaggrin, VEGF, $TGF-{\beta}1$, EGF were measured. Results : Dermatitis score showed a gross improvement on all DCL groups, similar to or better than positive control. All DCL groups showed no significant change in the basophils, while neutrophils and eosinophils decreased. In only DCL 400 mg/kg groups, white blood cells and mononuclear cells were decreased and lymphocytes were increased. In particular, neutrophils had similar or better effects than the positive control. In all DCL groups, IgE, Histamine, $IL-1{\beta}$, IL-4, IL-5, IL-6 and $TNF-{\alpha}$ were decreased and IL-2 was increased. In only DCL 400 mg/kg groups, IL-10 decreased and $IFN-{\gamma}$ increased. In particular, $IL-1{\beta}$ and $IFN-{\gamma}$ showed a similar rate of increase and decrease comparing positive control in DCL 400 mg/kg. $TGF-{\beta}$1 was increased in all DCL groups, filaggrin and VEGF were increased in only DCL 400 mg/kg groups. EGF did not make any changes. Epidermis, dermis thickness and eosinophil infiltration were also decreased in all DCL groups. Conclusions : By increasing Th1 cytokine and decreasing Th2 cytokine, DCL extracts appear to be effective in controlling immune response imbalances, anti-inflammatory and skin regeneration and are likely to be available as a treatment for AD.

토양개량재와 황토가 준설토의 이화학성과 느릅나무의 초기 생장에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Soil Conditioner and Loess on Physio-Chemical Properties of Dredged Soil and Seedling Height Growth of Ulmus davidiana var. japonica)

  • This research was conducted to compare the effect of soil amendment and loess on physial and chemical properties of dredged soil and primary height growth of Ulmus davidiana var. japonica. Three types of research plots: control plot (Dredged soil only), DC treatment plot (Dredged soil + soil amendment) and DCL treatment plot (Dredged soil + soil amendment + Loess) were set at Okgu research site in Saemanguem. 32 trees of U. davidiana var. japonica were planted in each plots after 14 months from the construction. Soil texture, pH, electrical conductivity (EC), organic matter (OM), total nitrogen (TN), available P, exchangeable cation ($K^+$, $Na^+$, $Mg^{2+}$, $Ca^{2+}$) and sodium chloride were measured after 3 years from the construction. Also, survival rate and height of U. davidiana var. japonica were measured 22 months after planting, and the correlation between height of trees and the physico-chemical properties of soil were analyzed. Even though pH in both DC and DCL treatment plots are lower than control plot, they are still alkaline (> pH 8). OM, TN and available P in both DC and DCL treatment were higher than the control. Particularly, the content of available P in both DC and DCL treatment plots are 1.4~5.1 times and 2.0~3.1 times higher than the control respectively. The concentration of exchangeable Mg in DCL treatment plot was 1.1~5.5 times higher than the control (p < .05). The survival rate of the species was the highest in DCL treatment plot (98%) followed by DC treatment plot and the control. The average height of the trees in both DC and DCL treatment plots is 1.1m while the control is 0.8m. OM, TN, available P, K+ were significantly related to the height of U. davidiana var. japonica(p < .01). The results indicate that soil amendment affects on soil physial and chemical properties of dredged soil and height growth of U. davidiana var. japonica.

직접석탄액화 공정의 경제성 평가 (Economic Evaluations of Direct Coal Liquefaction Processes)

  • 석유를 대체할 수 있는 현실적 대안으로 주목받고 있는 직접석탄액화(direct coal liquefaction, DCL) 공정의 경제성을 평가하고자하였다. 이때 역청탄을 이용하여 주요 제품(디젤, 나프타) 생산량 50,000 bbl/day의 규모에 대하여 각 공정에 적합한 검토기준을 세워 비용 및 매출액등을 산정하였다. 또한 각 공정별 민감도 분석을 실시하여 공정에 대한 중요 변수들의 가격 변동에 따른 경제성을 평가하였다. 본 생산량을 기준으로 Illinois #6 유연탄을 원료탄으로 사용하였을 때, 총 투자액은 $3,994,858,000로 나타났다. 내부수익률(internal rate of return, IRR)의 경우, 기본조건에서 각각 6.60%로 나타났으며, 원료석탄 가격과 생산 제품 판매가에 가장 크게 영향을 받는 것으로 나타났다. 원금상환 기간은 12.8년으로 긴 시간을 요구하며, 이는 현재의 고석탄가 때문으로 해석된다. 또한 민감도 분석 결과 제품가격, 원료석탄 가격, 건설비의 변동률 순서로 수익률에 변화를 주는 것으로 나타났다.

레틴알 안정화를 위한 사이클로덱스트린-리포좀에 관한 연구 (Study on Stabilization of Retinaldehyde using Drug-in-Cyclodextrinin-Liposome (DCL) for Skin Wrinkle Improvement)

  • 레틴알(RA)은 레티놀과 레티노익애씨드의 중간체로 비타민A 유도체이며 주름개선 효과가 우수하다. 본 연구에서는 drug-in-cyclodextrin-in-liposome (DCL)을 이용하여 레틴알의 안정성을 높였다. 레틴알과 hydroxypropyl-β-cyclodextrin (HP-β-CD) 복합체를 동결건조 방식으로 제조하였고, UV-Vis 분광법, FT-IR 및 SEM 이미지로 레틴알의 포접 여부를 확인하였다. 레틴알과 HP-β-CD의 비율이 1 : 15 (w/w)일 때 약 95.6% 포집되었다. 레틴알-HP-β-CD 복합체는 호모믹서 및 마이크로플루다이저로 리포좀에 담지시켰으며, 평균 입자 크기는 215.3 ± 4.2 nm, 제타포텐셜 -33.2 ± 1.5 mv로 나타났다. 레틴알의 분해 안정도 평가에서, 물에서 레틴알-HP-β-CD-리포좀의 레틴알 감소율은 1.8%로 레틴알-리포좀(5.8%), 레틴알-HP-β-CD복합체(9.7%), 레틴알 단독(37.6%)보다 높게 나타났다. 레틴알-HP-β-CD-리포좀이 함유된 크림(0.05% RA 함유)을 제조하여, 미간, 이마, 목, 눈가, 입가, 팔자 주름개선 효능 및 피부 치밀도를 2 ~ 4 주간 평가하였다. 그 결과 레틴알크림은 피부 자극 없이 유의한 주름 개선 효과를 보였다. 결론적으로, DCL시스템을 이용한 이중 안정화 기술은 레틴알의 안정화를 높여 피부 주름 개선 효과에 기여함을 확인하였다.

인체 암세포주에 대한 당근잎 추출 성분의 세포독성과 Quinone Reductase 유도효과 (Cytotoxicity and Quinone Reductase Induced Effects f Daucus carota L. Leaf Extracts on Human Cancer Cells)

  • The anticarcinogenic effects of various food components on human cancer cells have received much attention in recent years. The precise effect and mechanisms of anticarcinogens in food materials on cancer cells have rarely been investigated. This study was carried out to determine the effects of Daucus carota L. leaf (DCL) extracts on cytotoxic and chemopreventive effect on human cancer cells. The experiment was conducted to determine cytotoxicity of Daucus carota L. leaf extracts on HepG2, Hela and MCF-7 cells by MTT assay. Among various partition layers of Daucus carota L. leaf, the ethylacetate partition layer (DCLMEA) at 500 $\mu\textrm{g}$/mL was shown to be most effective on MCF-7 cell lines. The four partition layers which are DCLM, DCLMH, DCLMB and DCLMH were less effecitve in inducing cytotoxicity than DCLMEA was. We also determined the induction of intracellular quinone reductase (QR) activity by adding DCL extracts on HepG2 cells. Among various partition layers of DCL extracts, DCLMH and DCLM were tested to be most effective with results such as 4.9 and 4.73 with a control value of 1.0.

  • Rare-earth zirconates, such as $La_2Zr_2O_7$ and $Gd_2Zr_2O_7$, have been investigated as one of the candidates for replacing conventional yttria-stabilized zirconia (YSZ) for thermal barrier coating (TBC) applications at higher turbine inlet temperatures. In this study, double-ceramic-layer (DCL) TBCs of YSZ 1st layer and $La_2Zr_2O_7$ top coat layer are fabricated by suspension plasma spray with serial liquid feeders. Microstructures, hardness profiles, and thermal durability of DCL-TBCs are also characterized. Fabricated DCL-TBCs of YSZ/$La_2Zr_2O_7$ exhibit excellent properties, such as adhesion strength (>25 MPa) and electrical thermal fatigue (~1429 cycles), which are comparable with TBCs fabricated by atmospheric plasma spray.

  • ACL and DCL are have been conventionally used for reducing harmonic current on the input side of an ACMD. The current distortion ratio ITHD using ACL and DCL is only 35% to 85%, therefore to satisfy the IEEE Std. 519 requirements, the line filters has been focused as an alternative means. Those are installed between the AC power supply and the input of the ACMD, and must meet the IEEE Std. 519, be economical and be compact. To contribute to the widespread of using these line filters, we discussed concerning its topologies, simulation results, prototype test results as well as the cost evaluations. It included not only the proposed (NHHF) new hybrid harmonic filters which have both merits of simplicity and economic but also the past (BBHF) broadband harmonic filters and (HHF) hybrid harmonic filters.

카페인 경구투여가 운동강도 차이에 따른 당뇨유발 흰쥐 가자미근의 GLUT4 및 GRP78 단백질 발현에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Different Exercise Intensities on GLUT-4 and GRP-78 Protein Expression in Soleus Muscle of Streptozotocin-Induced Diabetic Rats with Caffeine Oral Administration)

  • 본 연구는 운동강도 차이에 따른 카페인 구강 투여가 STZ-유발 당뇨 쥐 가자미근에서 GLUT-4와 GRP-78 단백질 발현에 미치는 영향을 규명하기 위하여 F344계 수컷 횐쥐를 무작위 표본추출에 의하여 당뇨유발군(n=6), 당뇨유발-카페인 투여군(n=6), 당뇨유발-카페인투여 저강도운동군(n=6), 당뇨유발-카페인투여 중강도운동군(n=6), 그리고 당뇨유발-카페인투여 고강도 운동군(n=6)으로 분류하였다. 저강도 운동은 트레드밀 경사도 0%에서 8 m/min 속도로, 중강도 운동은 트레드밀 경사도 0%에서 16 m/min 속도로, 고강도운동은 트레드밀 경사도 0%에서 25 m/min속도로 30분간 1회 운동을 실시하였다. GLUT4단백질 발현은 당뇨군에 비해서 당뇨유발군-카페인 투여군과 당뇨유발-카페인투여 저강도 운동군에서 차이가 없었으며, 당뇨유발-카페인투석 중강도 운동군에서는 다소 감소하였으나 당뇨유발-카페인투여 고강도 운동군에서 증가하였다. GRP-78 단백질 발현은 당뇨군에 비해서 당뇨유발-카페인투여 저강도 운동군, 당뇨유발-카페인투여 중강도 운동군, 그리고 당뇨유발-카페인투석 고강도 운동군에서 감소하였으나, 당뇨유발-카페인 투여군에서는 다소 증가한 것으로 나타났다 고강도 일회성 운동이 인슐린 민감도를 개선시켜 인슐린 요구량을 낮추는데 이러한 효과는 내형질세망에서 세포막으로의 GLUT-4 단백질의 전이와 GLUT-4 단백질 양의 증가 때문이다. 운동군에서의 GRP-78 단백질이 감소된 기전은 정확히 밝힐 수는 없지만, 카페인으로 인한 지질 동원이 운동 시 작업근의 세포에 많은 에너지를 공급하여 세포가 받는 스트레스를 완화시켜 주었기 때문이라고 추측된다.

공작기계 절삭유 냉각용 오일쿨러 설계 자동화 (Oil Cooler Design Automation on the Cooling of Machine Tool Cutting Oil)

  • The automatic design of shell & tube type oil cooler can be used in real industrial environments. Since the automatic design system is intended to be used in small companies, it is designed to be operated well under environments of CAD package in the personal computer. It has adopted GUI in design system, and has employed DCl language. Design parameters to be considered in the design stage of shell and tube type oil cooler are type of oil cooler, outer diameter, thickness, length of tube, tube arrangement, tube pitch, flow rate, inlet and outlet temperature, physical properties, premissive pressure loss on both sides, type of baffle plate, baffle plate cutting ratio, clearance between baffle plate outer diameter and shell inner diameter and clearance between baffle plate holes. As a result, the automatic design system of shell & tube type oil cooler is constructed by the environment of CAD software using LISP. We have built database of design data for various kinds of shell & tube type oil coolers. The automatic design system have been assessed and compared with existing specification of design. Good agreement with Handbook of heat exchanger and design dta of real industrial environments has been found.

AutoLISP을 이용한 롤 성형 공정의 플라워 설계 (Flower Design of Roll Forming Process Using AutoLISP)

  • Because of the complexity of the flower design of roll forming process, in which the flat strip is progressively deformed by successive sets of profiled rolls, a computer-aided design system for the flower design has been developed. It is programmed in AutoLISP and DCL(Dialogue Control Language) of AutoCAD. It has been found that the system is helpful in saving the time and effort required to design the flower of the product to be roll-formed.
