Thanks to Dynamic Capacitance Control (DCC) technique, response time of an LCD display has greatly improved. However, DCC requires hi-speed memory for the real-time writing/reading of an image of a previous frame, which results in increases in hardware overhead and cost. In this paper, we propose Modified Exponential Golomb (MEG) coding, a low-complex high-speed image compression method, which can remarkably reduce memory requirement for DCC. We also propose a pixel-wise DCC switching technique to prevent a compression error from affecting the quality of a final image on LCD. In our experiment, the degradation in visual quality was not noticeable when we cut the DCC memory size of 1080i HD data by 1/3.
Synthetic procedures to synthesize fenbufen-acetaminophen ester were searched by acid chloride method, DCC method and mixed acid anhydride method. The compound was synthesized by DCC method and mixed acid anhydride method but could not be synthesized by acid chloride method. Its anti-inflammatory activity was superior to acetaminophen and similar to fenbufen.

This paper describes an study electric injection system for diesel engines. It is needed effective fuel injection which controls the solenoid valve of fuel pump. To solve this, this paper proposes DCC-PWM method which can realize fast reply and low holding current for solenoid valve on/off. For the proposed design method, simulation tools of ACSL are used to analyze the system. And the single-chip microcomputer is used to reduce the size of controller and to improve flexibility. And the systems validity can be verified through the experimental results.

In this paper, we propose a new detection method called dual-cell combining (DCC) detection for the acquisition in time of spread spectrum codes in the presence of residual frequency offset (RFO). When the RFO exists, the correlation peak used for detection during the acquisition process is split into two neighboring peaks with smaller amplitudes, resulting in considerable degradation in the overall acquisition performance of conventional methods. In the DCC detection method, the decision variable for detection is formed by combining two consecutive correlator outputs so that the influence of the reduction in the correlation peak due to the RFO can be alleviated. Numerical results show that the DCC detection method can offer better mean-time-to-synchrouization performance than the conventional method based on the cell-by-cell detection.

The existing inventory managements bear a relation to forecasting or assumptions. So these methods become more complicated and more expensive systems as time goes. This paper developed a practical inventory system which is called DCC(demand control chart). DCC does not 'forecast' but 'control' the trend of demand without assumptions. According to the trend of sales, DCC adjusts an order quantity considering the capacity of shelf in a store. Specially, DCC is a useful method under FRID system. Besides, this paper introduces EPFR(Every Period Full Replenishment) policy for reducing stocks.
BACKGROUND: White stain symptom caused by Acremonium acutatum and Trichothecium roseum, is one of the most important diseases on the grape. This disease occurs national-wide in Korea and causes irreversible damage on grape, at harvest season. This study was conducted to develop environment-friendly control method against white stain symptom. METHODS AND RESULTS: Environment-friendly materials were tested for control activity against A. acutatum and T. roseum in vitro and in vivo. The effect of environment-friendly materials against white stain symptom on grape in farmer's greenhouse was examined. The materials, NaDCC and sulphur, were sprayed three times on the leaves and fruit of grape at the two sites of farmer's field, Anseong and Hwaseong of Gyeounggi. To evaluate control effect of NaDCC and sulphur against white stain symptom, the disease severity was investigated after the two materials were sprayed from the disease onset three times at the 7-day intervals. NaDCC showed efficacy of 59.71% for Kyoho and 72.26% for Campbell-Early, and sulphur showed 78.31% for Koyho and 66.19% for Campbell-Early. CONCLUSION: We were selected sulphur and Sodium-Dichloroisocyannurate(NaDCC) based on the results of experiments in vitro. In field test, sulphur and NaDCC showed suppressive effect in the white stain symptom of grape. These results suggested that NaDCC and sulphur selected can be used as control agents for controlling white stain symptom on grape.

Effluent treated by an NaDCC injection method in Ballast water management system (BWMS) contains reactive chlorine species and disinfection by-products (DBPs). In this study, we conducted whole effluent toxicity (WET) testing and ecological risk assessment (ERA) to investigate its ecotoxicological effects on marine environment. WET testing was carried out for four marine pelagic and freshwater organisms, i.e., diatom Skeletonema costatum, Navicula pellicuosa, chlorophyta Dunaliella tertiolecta, Pseudokirchneriella subcapitata, rotifer Brachionus plicatilis, Brachionus calyciflorus and fish Cyprinodon variegatus, Pimephales promelas. The biological toxicity test revealed that algae was the only biota that showed apparent toxicity to the effluent; it showed no observed effect concentration (NOEC), lowest observable effect concentration (LOEC) and effect concentration of 50% (EC50) values of 25-50%, 50-100% and >100%, respectively, at three water condition, but did not show any significant toxicities on other biota. Meanwhile, chemical analysis revealed that the BWMS effluent contained total residual oxidants (TROs) below $0.03{\mu}g/L$ and a total of 25 DBPs such as bromate, volatile halogenated organic compounds (VOCs), halogenated acetonitriles (HANs), halogenated acetic acids (HAAs), chloropicrin and Isocyanuric acid. Based on ERA, the 25 DBPs were not considered to have persistency, bioaccumulation and toxicity (PBT) properties. The ratio of predicted environmental concentration (PEC) to predicted no effect concentration (PNEC) of the other DBPs did not exceed 1 for General harbor environment. However, four substances (Isocyanuric acid, Tribromomethane, Chloropicrin and Monochloroacetic acid) were exceed 1 for Nearship environment. But observed toxicity in the test water on algal growth inhibition would be mitigated by normal dilution factor of 5 applied for nearship exposure. Thus, our results of WET testing and ERA showed that the BWMS effluent treated by NaDCC injection method would have no adverse impacts on marine environment.

In this paepr, the modified neocognitron, which has capability of recognizing multi-patterns in input image in one pass, is proposed. It is the hierarchical neural network composed of S and V layer which are able to extract features and of C layer with little effect from deformation, changes in size, shifts in position. S and V cells extract the features of all patterns in input image by applying DCC(don't care condition) to those cells. S and C cells also have position informations of extracted patterns. Position information is used in extracting good features without extracted features beting interfered one another. The proposed method is shorter in recognition time than the selective attention method with backward connection, because of recognizing multi-patterns in one passe. The modified neocognitron can recognizze attached multi-patterns because of using DCC and position informations.
High-quality and low-price digital printing devices are nowadays abused to print or forge official documents and bills. Identifying color laser printers will be a step for media forensics. This paper presents a new method to identify color laser printers with printed color images. Since different printer companies use different manufactural systems, printed documents from different printers have little difference in visual. Analyzing this artifact, we can identify the color laser printers. First, high-frequency components of images are extracted from original images with discrete wavelet transform. After calculating the gray-level co-occurrence matrix of the components, we extract some statistical features. Then, these features are applied to train and classify the support vector machine for identifying the color laser printer. In the experiment, total 2,597 images of 7 printers (HP, Canon, Xerox DCC400, Xerox DCC450, Xerox DCC5560, Xerox DCC6540, Konica), are tested to classify the color laser printer. The results prove that the presented identification method performs well with 96.9% accuracy.
We compare the performance of two representative estimation methods for the dynamic conditional correlation (DCC) GARCH model. The first method is the pairwise estimation which exploits partial information from the paired series, irrespective to the time series dimension. The second is the multi-dimensional estimation that uses full information of the time series. As a simulation for the comparison, we generate a multivariate time series similar to those observed in real markets and construct a DCC GARCH model. As an empirical example, we constitute various portfolios using real KOSPI 200 sector indices and estimate volatility and VaR of the portfolios. Through the estimated dynamic correlations from the simulation and the estimated volatility and value at risk (VaR) of the portfolios, we evaluate the performance of the estimations. We observe that the multi-dimensional estimation tends to be superior to pairwise estimation; in addition, relatively-uncorrelated series can improve the performance of the multi-dimensional estimation.
