Segmentation of Mammography Breast Images using Automatic Segmen Adversarial Network with Unet Neural Networks

  • Breast cancer is the most dangerous and deadly form of cancer. Initial detection of breast cancer can significantly improve treatment effectiveness. The second most common cancer among Indian women in rural areas. Early detection of symptoms and signs is the most important technique to effectively treat breast cancer, as it enhances the odds of receiving an earlier, more specialist care. As a result, it has the possible to significantly improve survival odds by delaying or entirely eliminating cancer. Mammography is a high-resolution radiography technique that is an important factor in avoiding and diagnosing cancer at an early stage. Automatic segmentation of the breast part using Mammography pictures can help reduce the area available for cancer search while also saving time and effort compared to manual segmentation. Autoencoder-like convolutional and deconvolutional neural networks (CN-DCNN) were utilised in previous studies to automatically segment the breast area in Mammography pictures. We present Automatic SegmenAN, a unique end-to-end adversarial neural network for the job of medical image segmentation, in this paper. Because image segmentation necessitates extensive, pixel-level labelling, a standard GAN's discriminator's single scalar real/fake output may be inefficient in providing steady and appropriate gradient feedback to the networks. Instead of utilising a fully convolutional neural network as the segmentor, we suggested a new adversarial critic network with a multi-scale L1 loss function to force the critic and segmentor to learn both global and local attributes that collect long- and short-range spatial relations among pixels. We demonstrate that an Automatic SegmenAN perspective is more up to date and reliable for segmentation tasks than the state-of-the-art U-net segmentation technique.

  • As the increasing the demand on information service, high-capacity and high-speed telecommunication networks are required. For the networks, very intelligent telecommunication equipments such as DCS(Digital Cross-connect System) will be employed for the fast service on the various types of information including voice, data and image. This paper considers the transmission networks composed of DCSs and optical fibers as nodes and links of the networks, respectively. For the networks, some types of restoration algorithms are compared their characteristics for their potential applications. And a distributed control algorithm is described as an empirical example which is implemented on the BDCS(Broadband Digital Cross-connect System), where the BDCS is a type of DCS developed in Korea. Finally, some remarks on the associated further researches are added.

  • Fast spin echo imaging utilizes multiple spin echoes to encode multiple k-space lines instead of multiple $T_2-weighted$ images. As results, intensities in k-space data are varying according to T2 decay, which generates Gibb's artifact in the reconstructed image. The echo time for e encoding dc block determines contrast, as is specified by the effective echo time, however, all location of other echoes to different k-space frequency blocks in fast spin echo imaging is not f fully investigated. In this study, symmetric arrangement of multiple echoes in k-space is investigated to reduce Gibb's artifact. Design of filters based on the measurement of multiple e echo intensities is also proposed in two stage manner, i.e., equalization and filtering. From s simulation and experiment, it was observed that Gibb's phenomena were substantially reduced b by the proposed methods.

  • This paper presents an strategy algorithm of a soccer robot. We simply classified strategy of soccer robot as attack and defense. We use DC-motor in our Soccer Robot. We use the vision system made by MIRO team of Kaist and Soty team for image processing. Host computer is made by Pentium III. The RF module is used for the communication between each robot and the host computer. Fuzzy logic is applied to the path planning of our robot. We improve strategy algorithm of soccer robot. Here we explain improvement of strategy algorithm and fault of the our soccer robot system.

  • GaAs power MESFETs with 1 .mu.m gate length and an undoped GaAs surface layer on the doped GaAs channel are fabricated using IR(image reversal) and air-birdge processes. And then We have measured and calculated DC and RF characteristics. We have obtained saturation current 107-500 mA (197-255 mA/mm), maximum linear RF output power 111-518.8 mW (204-270 mW/mm), current gain cut-off frequency 7-10 GHz, maximum unilateral transducer power gain 5.7-12.7, and power added efficiencies 37.9-41.2 % from the devices with gate width 0.45-2.2 mm, at 6 GHz.

  • An experimental study was performed to investigate the liquid breakup and atomization characteristics in electrohydrodynamic atomization according to the changing of experimental parameters such as nozzle size, fluid flow, and electrical intensity. An original electrohydrodynamic atomizer equipment was designed and manufactured for the analysis of spray visualization and the exploration of relationship between applied power and the behavior of liquid atomization. The image processing technique by using the back-illumination method was applied to visualize the distilled liquid breakup process and to examine the variation of the droplet size distribution. The results show that the spray modes of electrohydrodynamic atomization are closelyconnected by the strength of the electric stresses at the surface of the liquid film and the kinetic energy of the liquid jet leaving the needle tip.

  • 정보전달에 있어서 멀티미디어 정보가 차지하는 비중이 점점 증대됨에 따라 멀티미디어 데이터 암호화의 필요성이 부각되고 있는 실정이다. 그러나 기존의 암호화에 일반적으로 적용되어온 DES(Data Encription Standard)와 같은 전통적인 암호화 알고리즘은 멀티미디어 데이터를 암호화하여 실시간으로 처리하기에는 충분히 신속하지 못한 단점이 있다. 그래서 본 논문에서는 디지털 이미지 프로세싱 기법중 압축기법과암호화 기법을 일련의 과정으로 통합하여 멀티미디어 정보의 중요부분을 차지하는 디지털 이미지의 실시간 암호화 처리기법을 연구하였다. 디지털 이미지의 저주파수 성분과 고주파수 성분을 다단계의 레벨로 분리하여 각 대역별로 성분을 집중시킨 후 임의의 배치 순서로 재배치하는 방법을 통해 DCT(Discrete Cosine Transform)과정 및 양자화과정을 거친 공간주파수 성분을 Zig-Zag순서가 아닌 임의의 배치 순서로 재배열할 때 발생되는 이미지의 크기가 상대적으로 커지는 점과 저주파수 성분이 주요 성분으로 구성된 이미지의 경우 해독이 비교적 용이하다는 점, 또한 약간의 응용으로 각 블록의 DC값만을 추출하여 이미지의 주요 내용을 파악할 수 있는 문제점을 해결하였다.

  • 소형 대기압 플라즈마 소스는 그 형태에 따라 DBD (Dielectric Barrier Discharge)나 Plasma Needle, 혹은 Plasma Jet 등으로 구별되며, 구동 파형의 특성에 따라 DC, RF (Radio Frequency), 혹은 Pulsed 방식 등으로 나뉜다. 또한 코로나 방전도 소형 대기압 플라즈마 장치에서 사용된다. DBD는 1857년 Siemens에 의해 최초로 보고 되었고 산업 분야에서 대규모로 사용되어 왔다. 본 연구에서는 대향 방전 DBD 대신 유전체 양쪽 면에 전극이 도포된 면방전 형태의 DBD 구조 내부로 He 가스가 흐를 때의 방전에 대한 광학적 진단을 수행하였다. 전극간의 거리와 가스 유속의 변화에 따라 방전 특성이 어떻게 달라지에 대해서 Optical Emission Spectroscopy (OES)를 통하여 생성되는 radical 종의 변화를 측정하고 ICCD (intensified charge coupled device) image를 통해 방전이 시간에 따라 어떻게 진행되는지를 진단하였다.

A New Framework for Automatic Extraction of Key Frames Using DC Image Activity

  • The effective extraction of key frames from a video stream is an essential task for summarizing and representing the content of a video. Accordingly, this paper proposes a new and fast method for extracting key frames from a compressed video. In the proposed approach, after the entire video sequence has been segmented into elementary content units, called shots, key frame extraction is performed by first assigning the number of key frames to each shot, and then distributing the key frames over the shot using a probabilistic approach to locate the optimal position of the key frames. Moreover, we implement our proposed framework in Android to confirm the validity, availability and usefulness. The main advantage of the proposed method is that no time-consuming computations are needed for distributing the key frames within the shots and the procedure for key frame extraction is completely automatic. Furthermore, the set of key frames is independent of any subjective thresholds or manually set parameters.

  • Thin films of $BaTiO_3$ system were prepared by radio frequency (rf)/dc magnetron sputtering method. We have investigated crystal structure, surface morphology and PTCR(positive-temperature coefficient of resistance) characteristics of the specimen depending on second heat - treatment temperatures. Scanning electron microscope(SEM) image of $BaTiO_3$ thin films shows that the specimen heat treated in between 900 and 1100[$^{\circ}C$] shows a grain growth. At 1100[$^{\circ}C$], the specimen stops grain-growing and becomes a crystal. A resistivity-temperature characteristics of the specimen depends on the doping concentrations of Mn.
