  • This paper deals with comparison and analysis for rotor losses of permanent magnet synchronous generator using phase current harmonic analysis according to dc and ac load. On the basis of analytical field analysis, the rotor losses are analysed. Particularly, rated speed and ac load and the rated speed and dc load conditions are considered. This paper compared rotor losses considered dc load with rotor losses considered ac load. Although our analytical modes is low speed, the rotor losses must be considered by results.

  • Recently, most machineries have been small size and mobile type. Then the motors used in this field are developed in micro size such as about 2mm in diameter. The structure of this motor is similar to a general brushless DC motor but because of small sige there is no position sensor such as hall sensor. In this paper, we propose synchronous driving and control method for micro brushless DC motor without position sensor. We design and manufacture this controller and perform experiment to show the effectiveness of the proposed method.

  • 고분자 분리막의 구조가 투과율에 미치는 영향에 대해서는 지금까지 많은 연구가 행하여져 왔지만, 분자구조가 투과경로에 미치는 영향에 대한 연구는 아직 미미하며, black box approach만으로는 투과경로를 기술하기 어렵다. Impedance spectrowcopy는 막에 alternating electric field를 가해줌으로써 얻어지는 전류와 전압의 상관관계를 이용하여, 막내의 전해질의 투과에 대한 정보를 얻어내는 기기로써, dielectric loss spectra를 분석하면 투과물의 투과경로에 대한 정보도 얻을 수 있다. 전해질을 포함한 막의 dielectric loss ($\varepsilon"$) spectra는 다음의 식과 같이 두 부분으로 나뉘어 진다. $\varepsilon" = \varepsilon_{ac}" + \varepsilon_{dc}"$ (1) $\varepsilon_{dc}"$는 막을 통한 이온의 투과에 관계된 항이며, $\varepsilon_{ac}"$는 강한 dipole의 relaxation에 의해 나타나는 항이다. $\varepsilon_{dc}"$는 다음의 실험식에 의해 잘 기술되어진다. $\varepsilon_{dc}" = A\omega^{-n}$ 0

  • 전원의 변동이 심한 전압원을 사용하는 선박, 전기자동차 등에서는 DC-Link전압이 가변하기 때문에 낮은 영역의 전압에서는 최대출력 운전을 할 수가 없다. 낮은 영역의 전압에서 최대 출력을 하기 위하여 유도전동기 ${\Delta}$결선 운전을 해야 하지만 ${\Delta}$결선 운전시 높은 입력 전류로 인하여 인버터 전력소자의 온도가 상승하게 된다. 따라서 유도전동기 Y결선 운전을 하고 부족한 출력은 유도전동기 약계자 제어를 하여야 한다. 본 논문은 가변 DC-Link 전압에서 최소의 상전류로 전력소자와 유도 전동기의 상태에 따라 최대출력 운전을 하는 약계자 제어 알고리즘을 제안하였다.

  • Polyehtylene[PE] in polymer insulation materials of used power cable have carried out in abundance of experiment and study for electrical conduction. insulation breakdown. dielectric character and so on. When apply to field for power cable to make PE, application of DC withstand test to put in practice for inspection is get to effect accumulated space charge. In this paper, to make use of Pulsed Electro-Acoustic(PEA). It is analysis to take shape space charges under AC and DC voltage, clear up the point at issue for effect of DC withstand test.

  • This paper discusses the development of a new optimization algorithm for DC motor design. In principle, the new algorithm utilizes a mixed method that consists of genetic algorithms in conjunction with direct search method. The genetic algorithms are used for locating the global optimum region while the direct search method is used to achieve objective function convergence. In order to validate the effectiveness, the new algorithm has been applied to an actual DC motor. Field and torque characteristics of the DC motor are computed using finite element method and the principle of virtual work, respectively.

  • 1\ulcorner gate MESFETs are fabricated on MOCVD and VPE grown GaAs wafers using photolithography, chemical wet etching and lift-off techniques. DC characteristics such as Vt, Gm, Rs, etc. are studied and active channel parameters of MESFET(a, n, Leff, \ulcorner)are analyzed for 1-4 \ulcorner gate FETs and 100\ulcorner FAT FET. The correlation between DC data and active channel parameters are experimentally analyzed. The measured transconductance and low-field mobility in the active channel for the 1\ulcorner gate MESFET made on MOCVD wafer are 67mS/mm and 2980cm\ulcornerVs respectively.

  • Nowadays, in metropolitan railroad, DC feeding system is being generally applied. In order to reduce damages of electro-chemical corrosion caused by stray current and leakage current, in DC feeding system, rail is used as negative-polarity return conductor for traction load current. However, it has problem of rail potential increase and there are no adequate measures to prevent it in domestic. In this paper, we presented fundamental theory and related standards about rail potential increase. And then, we analyzed field testing data and simulated a variety of operations by using PSCAD/EMTDC as an analysis program of power system. In addition, voltage control device is suggested to prevent accidents caused by rail potential increase.

Comparative Study of DC Breakdown and Space Charge Characteristics of Insulation Paper Impregnated with Natural Ester and Mineral Oil

  • Natural ester is a suitable substitute for mineral oil and has been widely used in AC transformer in many countries. In order to further application of natural ester in direct current (DC) equipment, it is needed to investigate its long term insulation property under DC condition. In this paper, a thermal ageing experiment was conducted for both mineral oil-paper and natural ester-paper insulation. The DC breakdown and space charge characteristics of insulation paper impregnated with natural ester and mineral oil was compared. Results show that the resistivity of the paper immersed in natural ester and mineral oil both increase as the ageing goes on. While insulation paper impregnated with natural ester has higher resistivity and DC breakdown voltage than the paper impregnated with mineral oil. The DC breakdown voltage for the oil impregnated insulation paper being DC pre-stressing is higher than that without pre-stressing. The average DC breakdown field strength difference between the test with pre-stressing and without pre-stressing clearly shows that there is an apparent enhancement effect for the homo-charge injection on the DC breakdown.

Effect of Dynamic Electric Fields on Dielectric Reliability in Cu Damascene Interconnects (동적인 전기장이 다마신 구리 배선에서의 절연파괴에 미치는 영향)

  • Effect of dynamic electric fields on dielectric breakdown behavior in Cu damascene interconnects was investigated. Among the DC, unipolar, and bipolar pulse conditions, the longest dielectric lifetime is observed under the bipolar condition because backward Cu ion drift occurs when the direction of electric field is changed by 180 degrees and Cu contamination is prohibited as a results. Under the unipolar pulse condition, the dielectric lifetime increases as pulse frequency increases and it exceed the lifetime under DC condition. It suggests that the intrinsic breakdown of dielectrics significantly affect the dielectric breakdown in addition to Cu contamination. As the unipolar pulse width decreases, dielectric bond breakdown is more difficult to occur.
