칼만필터를 이용한 직류 모터의 속도조절 (Speed regulation of DC motor using Kalman filter)

  • This paper presents a velocity regulation scheme for a DC motor subjected to random torque and velocity measurement noises of white noise type as well as unknown constant load torque (bias). The scheme separately estimates an unknown bias in addition to state estimation by the bias-free Kalman Filter, and reflects the effect of the bias estimate to the armature input voltage such that velocity variations be regulated. It is shown via computer simulations that the performance of the present scheme is superior to that of the conventional analog PI regulator.

가동자석형 선형 직류모터의 최적설계 (Optimal Design for a Moving aMgnet Type Linear D.C. Motor)

  • This paper proposes an optimal design method for the weight and cost of a moving magnet typer linear DC motor (MM-LDM). The optimal design condition such as type and size of MM-LDM were determined by the trinary search algorithm after adjusting a standard function and its related parameters. In order to verigy results of the optimal design by the computer simulation, the designed values such as a thrust, a current, a velocity, and etc. of the fabricated MM-LDM were measured. And the measurement results are in good agreement with the designed ones.

  • 본 원고는 직류전원에서 사용하는 직류용 소형전동기(motor)로 전력용 반도체 제어소자인 Power Transistor, MOSFET를 이용하여 전동기(motor) 구동의 드라이브 회로를 구성하고 전동기 동작원리와 정 역회전의 회전방향 제어에 대하여 다루고자 한다. 그리고, 제동운전 및 펄스폭 변조(PWM)에 의해 가변되는 회전속도제어 방법에 대해 기술하여 직류용 전동기(motor)의 기본적인 원리를 이해함과 더불어 마이크로프로세서를 이용한 다양한 전동기(motor) 제어방법을 제시하였다.

  • Two-phase BLDC(brushless DC) motor has larger torque ripple than three-phase BLDC motor because of its unique skeleton-type structure. An electronic switching mechanism to change the current-direction of the BLDC motor can be a source of vibration as well as unbalanced rotor weight. A proper switching timing which makes less vibrations was considered by changing the position of sensing element around the center of rotation. Also, the current of the motor was measured for the calculation of the motor efficiency. From the vibration test results and with the consideration of the motor efficiency, an optimal switching position of the Hall sensor was found.

  • BLDC motor is widely used in automation areas for its good maintenance and controllability. In this paper it is designed for a speed control servo system of sinusoidal typo BLDC motor that can be easily adapted to automation systems with lower cost. Also, control parameters & periods are made adjustable according to the sensors of the motor, electric and mechanical time constant, and PI and PD control are used. The processor for the proposed system is a low cost 16bit One-Chip microprocessor. By experimental results from application to the industrial sewing machine, one of the application of BLDC motor, it can be verified that under the given reference, the system is enough as a speed and position servo without overshoots.

  • Since most real experimental situations are different from those of the simulations, it is required to modify control rules through experiments owing to uncertainties and unmodeled dynamics of the plant. This paper presents a convenient monitoring system which can display system responses exactly and test the performances of the control system. We design a PID controller using DSP board and propose a monitoring system based on PC and C++ Builder program. With the proposed monitoring system we can easily control the velocity of a DC motor system.

  • For a given brushless DC linear motor, we suggest the numerical prediction methods to analyze it's thrust characteristics. First, we calculate the magnetic flux density by the finite element method, and we then compute the maximum thrust with three computational methods - a Lorentz equation, a Maxwell stress method and a virtual work method. To confirm the accuracy of the computational methods, we measure the thrust of the linear motor made by our laboratory with a force-torque sensor. Also, we calculate the thrust by the measured back electromotive force. To choose the appropriate method for a specified application, we compare the maximum thrusts of the computational method and the calculation by the back electromotive force with the measured one. We conclude that the Maxwell stress method is turned out the best because it has the most accurate results among three computational methods and it is more convenient than the calculation method by the back electromotive force.

  • This paper deals with the characteristic analysis of small power brushless DC (BLDC) motor considering the rotor magnet overhang flux. In the driving characteristics analysis using 2D FEA (Finite Element Analysis), the rotor magnet overhang effect can't be considered and it should be neglected. To consider rotor magnet overhang effect, 3D FEA should be required. But 3D FEA requires very long calculation time even though the high specification computer is used. In this paper, the 3D electromagnetic model of BLDC motor is approximated as the 2D electromagnetic model considering overhang effect. In this paper, the concept of overhang coefficient is applied, and the coefficient according to load torque variance is deduced.

  • Higher productivity requires high-speed motion of machine tool axes. The iron core linear DC motor (LDM) is widely accepted as a viable candidate for high-speed machine tool feed unit. LDM, however, has two inherent disturbance force components, namely cogging and thrust force ripple. These disturbance forces directly affect the tracking accuracy of the feeding system and must be eliminated or reduced. In order to reduce motor ripple, this research adapted the feedforward compensation method and neural network control. Experiments carried out with the linear motor test setup show that these control methods are effective in reducing motor ripple.

  • 본 논문에서는 직류 서보 전동기를 구동원으로 하는 위치 제어계에서 부하변동에 따른 파라메타 변화, 외란 둥에 강인한 2자유도 PID 제어기의 설계법을 제시하여 신경망으로 2자유도 PID 제어기를 구성하였다. 이 제어기의 계수들이 기동시나 계 응답의 변동시 신경망 역전파 알고리즘(Back-Propagation Algorithm)에 의해서도 수성 되도록 하였다. 그리고 이것을 실제의 위치 제어계에 적용하여 실험을 통해 그 성능을 검증하였다.
