Microstructure and Pore Characteristics of a SUS316L Gas Filter Fabricated by Wet Powder Spraying

  • In this study, a flake-shaped metal powder was coated on a tube shaped pre-sintered 316L stainless steel support using a wet powder spraying process to fabricate a double pore structure, and the pore characteristics were analyzed according to coating time and tube rotation speed. The thickness of the coated layer was checked via optical microscopy, and porosity was measured using image analysis software. Air permeability was measured using a capillary flow porometer. As a result of the experiment, the optimal rotation speed of the support tube was established as 200 rpm. When the rotation speed was fixed, the coating thickness and the coating amount of the double pore structure increased as the coating time increased. The porosity of the double pore structure was increased due to the irregular arrangement of the flake-shaped powder. The air permeability of the double pore structure decreased with increasing fine pore layer thickness.

양면 인쇄법을 이용한 중금속 검출용 3D 종이 기반 분석장치 제작 (Fabrication of 3D Paper-based Analytical Device Using Double-Sided Imprinting Method for Metal Ion Detection)

  • 미세유체 종이-기반 분석 장치는 최근 현장 진단 및 환경 물질 감지를 포함한 다양한 적용가능성으로 주목을 받고 있다. 본 연구는 적은 비용과 간단한 검출 방법으로 중금속을 빠르게 검출할 수 있는 3D-μPAD를 제작하기 위해 PDMS 양면 인쇄 방법을 제안하였다. 3D-μPAD 디자인은 레이저 커팅으로 아크릴 스탬프에 적용할 수 있으며, 제작된 스탬프에 PDMS 고분자를 스핀 코팅 후 양면접촉인쇄 방식 도입을 통해 3차원 형태의 소수성 장벽 형성에 필요한 조건을 확인하였다. 구체적으로 소수성 장벽 형성 조건인 고분자 농도, 스핀 코팅 속도 및 접촉 시간에 따라 PDMS 소수성 장벽 면적과 친수성 채널의 면적 변화를 분석함으로써 3D-μPAD 제작 공정 조건 최적화를 수행하였다. 최적화된 μPAD로 니켈, 구리, 수은 이온, pH를 다양한 농도에서 검출하였고 이를 ImageJ 프로그램으로 분석하여 grayscale 값으로 정량화 하였다. 이를 통해 3D-μPAD를 제작함으로써 특별한 분석 기기 없이 다양한 중금속 비색 검출을 수행함으로써 조기진단 바이오 센서로의 응용 가능성을 증명하였다. 이 3D-μPAD는 휴대가 간편한 다중 금속이온 검출 바이오센서로서, 신속한 현장 모니터링이 가능하므로 개발도상국 같은 자원이 제한된 지역에서 유용하게 사용 가능하다.

고효율 단결정 태양전지 설계를 위한 PC1D 시뮬레이션 (PC1D Simulation for Design High Efficiency Single Crystaline Solar Cell)

  • 태양전지의 효율은 실리콘 자체의 특성에 의해서 결정 되거나 완성된 실리콘을 통해 태양전지를 제조하는 과정에서 Texturing, Coating 등을 통해 효율을 변화 시킬 수 있다. PC1D를 이용해 Texturing, Base Resistivity, Emitter Doping등을 조절해가며 고효율 태양전지를 위한 시뮬레이션을 하였다. Texture Angle이 $80^{\circ}$, Texture Depth가 2um, Base Resistivity가 0.2[${\Omega}{\cdot}cm$], Emitter Doping이 8*Exp(19)[$cm^{-3}$]일 경우 효율이 19.9%로 최적화 되었다.

Study on Improvement of Surface Properties of Low Carbon Steel Using Laser Cladding

  • Laser cladding is a method that can be applied to repair the crack and break on the mold and die surfaces, as well as generate new attributes on the surface to improve toughness, hardness, and corrosion resistance. It is used to extend the life of the mold. It also has the advantages of superior bonding strength and precision coating on a local area compared with the conventional thermal spraying technology. In this study, we investigated the effect of cladding on low carbon alloy steel using 18%Cr-2.5%Ni-Fe powder (Rockit404), which showed high hardness on the die surface. The process conditions were performed in an argon atmosphere using a diode laser source specialized for 900-1070 nm, and the output conditions were 5, 6, and 10 kW, respectively. After the cladding was completed, the surface coating layer's shape, the hardness according to the cross-section's thickness, and the microstructure were analyzed.

단조공정별 소성응력분포의 X.R.D 분석에 관한 연구 (Analysis of Forging Plastic Stress by X.R.D and F.E.M)

  • Forging is applied for many industrial fields. Also, it is applied to hose nipple. Stress and metal analysis is finding method of forging possibility and we predict this possibility by finite element forging analysis. But there are also many manufacturing procedure after forging, and metal texture is varied by additional heat treatment or coating. So this research is focused on the measuring and analysis of plastic residual stress distribution at overall manufacturing procedure. From raw material to final product we measured real residual stress at each manufacturing procedure by X ray diffract meter, and simulated another procedure except forging by nonlinear finite element analysis. Also we showed how Zn-Ni coating is more contributable to metal strength than Zn coating. By this research we make final conclusion that process analysis must be observed from raw material to final manufacturing state for robust design.
