연약지반에서의 쉴드 TBM 굴착시 막장면 안정성 평가를 위한 실험적 연구 (An Experimental Study on Shield TBM Tunnel Face Stability in Soft Ground)

  • 본 논문은 연약지반 쉴드 TBM 축소 모형실험을 통하여 슬러리에 의해 가해지는 막장 지보압의 변화에 따른 터널 막장면 안정성 변화 양상을 파악하고자 토피고에 따라 0.5D, 0.75D, 1.0D, 1.25D, 1.5D의 총 5개 Case에 대하여 모형실험을 수행하였으며, 이론적인 터널 막장면 지보압 및 모형실험으로 선정된 적정 지보압 값을 상호 비교하였다. 암반 쉴드 TBM과 달리 연약지반 쉴드 TBM의 경우 균질한 지반조건임에 따라 모형실험으로부터 산정된 적정 지보압이 터널 심도에 따른 막장면 토압 및 수압으로부터 이론적으로 산정된 막장압 범위($P_{min}{\leq}P_{slurry\;pressure}{\leq}P_{max}$)와 잘 일치하고 있음을 확인하였다.

Zymolyase-20T에 대한 Saccharomyces cerevisiae D-71과 Zygosaccharomyces rouxii SR-S의 감수성 (Susceptibility of Saccharomyces cerevisiae D-71 and Zygosaccharomyces rouxii SR-S to Zymolyase-20T)

  • 고온 발효성인 Saccharomyces cerevisiae D-71과 내삼투압성인 Zygosaccharomyces rouxii SR-S를 여러 조건에서 배양하여 Zymolyase-20T에 대한 감수성을 조사하였다. Sacch. cerevisiae D-71의 glucan과 mannan 함량은 각각 l4.5%와 14.8% 이었고 Zygosacch. rouxii SR-S는 24.0%와 19.0% 이었다. 0.5% methionine 과 0,1% glucose를 함유한 wickerham 합성배지에 Sacch. cerevisiae D-71를 배양하여 얻은 세포의 Zymolyase-20T에 대한 감수성은 66% 이었고 $K_2$HPO$_4$와 aminobenzoic acid를 결핍시켰을 때 감수성이 가장 낮았다. 또한 0.5% peptone과 o.15% methionine 및 0.1% glucose를 함유한 wickerham 합성배지에 Zygosacch. rouxii SR-S를 배양하여 얻은 세포의 감수성은 80% 이었고 KI와 pyridoxine을 결핍시켰을 때 감수성이 가장 낮았다. $25^{\circ}C$에서 YMPG 배지에 Sacch. cerevisiae D-71를 접종하여 12시간 정치배양한 세포의 Zymolyase-20T에 대한 감수성은 76% 이었고 Zygosacch. reuxii SR-S를 같은 조건으로 30시간 배양한 세포의 감수성은 82%로서 wickerham 합성배지에서의 감수성보다 더 좋았다.

Cosmeceutical Properties of Fructan (Levan) Produced by Zymomonas mobilis

  • Fructan, a polysaccharide existing in plants or produced by microorganisms, is a sugar polymer of fructose with $\beta$-2,6 linkages. In this study, we investigated some cosmeceutical properties of Fructan such as moisturizing effect, cell proliferation effect, anti-inflammation effect and cell cytotoxicity. Zymomonas mobilis, a microorganism producing Fructan, was cultured in a medium containing 10% sucrose and 2% yeast extract as main components for 24 hours at 37$^{\circ}C$ and pH 7. Fructan was obtained by precipitation from the cultured medium by adding alcohol (alcohol ratio of 1:3) after removing the enzyme by centrifuging. Fructan exhibited almost same moisturizing effect as hyaluronic acid and cell proliferation effect on human fibroblast and keratinocyte as well. Moreover, on cell proliferation test on bio-artificial skin constructed by 3-dimensional(3-D) culture after inducing primary skin inflammation with 0.5% sodium lauryl sulfate (SLS), the 3-D artificial skin treated with 0.01 mg/ml, 0.05mg/ml of Fructan exhibited higher cell proliferation than the 3-D artificial skin treated with SLS only. On anti-inflammation test on 3-D artificial skin evaluated by measuring secreted quantity of interleukin-1$\alpha$ (IL-1$\alpha$) which is a pre-inflammatory mediator induced by SLS, the quantity of IL-1$\alpha$on the 3-D artificial skin treated with 0.01 mg/ml, 0.05mg/ml of Fructan was less than the one on the 3-D artificial skin treated with SLS only. As a result of these studies, Fructan has anti-inflammation effect against inflammatory reaction by a skin irritant as well as cell proliferation effect in bio-artificial skin. Fructan was also evaluated as a safe material without any toxicity in safety tests using fibroblasts and animals.

  • Given a domain X and a collection H of functions h : X → {0, 1}, the Vapnik-Chervonenkis (VC) dimension of H measures its complexity in an appropriate sense. In particular, the fundamental theorem of statistical learning says that a hypothesis class with finite VC-dimension is PAC learnable. Recent work by Fitzpatrick, Wyman, the fourth and seventh named authors studied the VC-dimension of a natural family of functions ℋ'2t(E) : 𝔽2q → {0, 1}, corresponding to indicator functions of circles centered at points in a subset E ⊆ 𝔽2q. They showed that when |E| is large enough, the VC-dimension of ℋ'2t(E) is the same as in the case that E = 𝔽2q. We study a related hypothesis class, ℋdt(E), corresponding to intersections of spheres in 𝔽dq, and ask how large E ⊆ 𝔽dq needs to be to ensure the maximum possible VC-dimension. We resolve this problem in all dimensions, proving that whenever |E| ≥ Cdqd-1/(d-1) for d ≥ 3, the VC-dimension of ℋdt(E) is as large as possible. We get a slightly stronger result if d = 3: this result holds as long as |E| ≥ C3q7/3. Furthermore, when d = 2 the result holds when |E| ≥ C2q7/4.

  • The caterpillar-shaped Chinese medicinal mushroom (DongChongXiaCao) looks like a worm in the winter and like a grass in the summer. The fruiting body has been regarded as popular folk or effective medicines used to treat human diseases such as asthma, bronchial and lung inflammation, and kidney disease. The fruiting bodies of Cordyceps militaris, C. pruinosa and Paecilomyces tenuipes that formed on the living silkworm (Bombyx mori) host were used in this examination. This study was carried out to investigate the soluble sugar, amino acid and fatty acid profiles in the fruiting-bodies. Soluble sugars such as glycerol, glucose, mannitol and sucrose were mainly found in the fruiting bodies of C. militaris, C. pruinosa and P. tenuipes. Total soluble sugar content was 29.23 mg/g in C. militaris, 8.61 mg/g in C. pruinosa and 24.00 mg/g 1in P. tenuipes on dry weight basis. Total free amino acid content was 14.09 mg/g 1in C. militaris, 34.60 mg/g in C. pruinosa and 17.09 mg/g in P. tenuipes. The content of oleic acid in fatty acids was above high more than 30% regardless of species.

TWO POINTS DISTORTION ESTIMATES FOR CONVEX UNIVALENT FUNCTIONS

  • We study the class $C{\mathcal{V}} ({\Omega})$ of analytic functions f in the unit disk ${\mathbb{D}}=\{z{\in}{\mathbb{C}}$ : ${\mid}z{\mid}$ < 1} of the form $f(z)=z+{\sum}_{n=2}^{\infty}a_nz^n$ satisfying $$1+\frac{zf^{{\prime}{\prime}}(z)}{f^{\prime}(z)}{\in}{\Omega},\;z{\in}{\mathbb{D}}$$, where ${\Omega}$ is a convex and proper subdomain of $\mathbb{C}$ with $1{\in}{\Omega}$. Let ${\phi}_{\Omega}$ be the unique conformal mapping of $\mathbb{D}$ onto ${\Omega}$ with ${\phi}_{\Omega}(0)=1$ and ${\phi}^{\prime}_{\Omega}(0)$ > 0 and $$k_{\Omega}(z)={\displaystyle\smashmargin{2}{\int\nolimits_{0}}^z}{\exp}\({\displaystyle\smashmargin{2}{\int\nolimits_{0}}^t}{\zeta}^{-1}({\phi}_{\Omega}({\zeta})-1)d{\zeta}\)dt$$. Let $z_0,z_1{\in}{\mathbb{D}}$ with $z_0{\neq}z_1$. As the first result in this paper we show that the region of variability $\{{\log}\;f^{\prime}(z_1)-{\log}\;f^{\prime}(z_0)\;:\;f{\in}C{\mathcal{V}}({\Omega})\}$ coincides wth the set $\{{\log}\;k^{\prime}_{\Omega}(z_1z)-{\log}\;k^{\prime}_{\Omega}(z_0z)\;:\;{\mid}z{\mid}{\leq}1\}$. The second result deals with the case when ${\Omega}$ is the right half plane ${\mathbb{H}}=\{{\omega}{\in}{\mathbb{C}}$ : Re ${\omega}$ > 0}. In this case $CV({\Omega})$ is identical with the usual normalized class of convex univalent functions on $\mathbb{D}$. And we derive the sharp upper bound for ${\mid}{\log}\;f^{\prime}(z_1)-{\log}\;f^{\prime}(z_0){\mid}$, $f{\in}C{\mathcal{V}}(\mathbb{H})$. The third result concerns how far two functions in $C{\mathcal{V}}({\Omega})$ are from each other. Furthermore we determine all extremal functions explicitly.

Effects of Temperature on the Pharmacokinetics of Ciprofloxacin in the Cultured Black Rockfish (Sebastes schlegeli) and Olive Flounders (Paralichthys olivaceus)

  • Temperature-dependent pharmacokinetics of ciprofloxacin (CIP) was studied in the cultured olive flounders, Paralichthys olivaceus, and black rockfish, Sebastes schlegeli using high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) originally developed for quinolone determination from livestock. Pharmacokinetics of CIP was apparently affected by ambient water temperature. In a two-compartment model for flounders after oral dosage of 20 mg/kg, $K_{01},\;at\;13^{\circ}C$ and $23^{\circ}C$ were 4.18 and 1.20/hr, respectively. The $K_{10},\;T_{max}\;and\;C_{max}\;at\;13^{\circ}C$ were 5.574/hr, l4.37${\mu}g/mL\;and\;3.15{\mu}g/mL,$ respectively. The corresponding values at $23^{\circ}C$ were l2.84/hr, 15.39${\mu}g/mL\;and\;6.38{\mu}g/mL$, respectively. The AUC, $T_{1/2} (\alpha)\;and\;T_{1/2}\;(\beta)$ were 278.23 ${\mu}g \cdot hr/mL$, 0.24hr and 47.02hr at $13^{\circ}C$ and 3l7.8l${\mu}g \cdot hr/mL$, 0.30 hrs and 60.78hrs at $23^{\circ}C$ for the flounder, respectively. Similar CIP pharmacokinetics were revealed in the black rockfish after oral dosage of 20 mg/kg under the two water temperature regimes. These pharmacokinetical results have some implication in the optimal usage of recently introduced antibacterials in the farmed fish, which were primarily adapted for poultry and mammalian species.

탈지분유의 열처리 공정이 고단백질 RTD 커피의 품질 특성에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Heat Treatment History of Skim Milk Powder on the Quality Characteristics of RTD Coffee with High Protein)

  • This study investigated the quality of characteristics of high-protein RTD coffee using domestic and imported skim milk powder with different heat treatment. Skim milk powders (A, B) had high-heat treatment, C had medium-heat, and D and E had low-heat treatment. The transmittance of A and B were higher than that of C, and that of C were higher than that of D and E (p<0.05). The precipitate attached on bottom of container of RTD coffee using A and B were 2.993~3.053% and higher than those (0.753~0.803%) of RTD coffee using C, D and E (p<0.05), but there was no difference between those of RTD coffee using C, D and E (p<0.05). The centrifuged precipitate of RTD coffee using A and B were 1.987~2.040% and higher than those (0.820~0.830%) of RTD coffee using C, D and E (p<0.05), but there was no difference between those of RTD coffee using C, D and E (p<0.05). The proximate composition of precipitate attached on bottom of container of RTD coffee using A, which showed the highest amount of precipitate, showed 65.7% of carbohydrate, 19.0% of protein, 4.8% of fat and 4.8% of ash in dry basis, that of RTD coffee being 72.7%, 15.1%, 7.9% and 4.3% in dry basis respectively. Protein and fat content of precipitate were lower and protein and ash content were higher than those of RTD coffee. But seeing that the most increased portion was protein, precipitation of RTD coffee appears to be attributed to heat-denatured proteins.

제주도 자망이망율에 관하여 -고등어 자망의 이망율 비교- (ON THE CATCH OF GILL NET IN THE JEJU ISLAND -Comparison of mackerel catch in monofilament and multifilament gill nets-)

  • 제주도 고등어 자망어업의 주어기인 1974년 5월 28일부터 8월 31일까지 서귀포와 비양도근해어장에서 고등어 자망어구의 이망율에 관한 시험조업결과는 다음과 같다. 1. $X^2$ t 검정에 의하면 고등어 nylon-monofilament 자망 B형이 nylon-multifilament 자망 A형보다 이망성능이 우위하고 나망율비는 $m_A:m_B=1:1.8$이다. 2. 망목 75mm인 nylon-monofilament 자망 C형, D형이 망목 85mm인 nylon-monofilament 자망 E형 F형 보다 이망성능이 우위하고 이망율비는 $m_E{\cdot}F:m_C{\cdot}D=1:2.8$이다. 3. 망계 굵기가 120tex와 75tex이고 망목이 75m 및 85mm인 C, D, E, F, 형에서는 상호간의 우위는 모두 확인할 수 없었다.

시판 고춧가루의 품질 특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Quality of Commercial Red Pepper Powder)

  • 시판되는 4개 사 고춧가루를 구입하여 고춧가루의 품질에 관한 이화학적 특성을 비교 분석하였다. 고춧가루 선호도를 결정하는 것은 색상인데 C사 제품의 L값이 46.667로 가장 높았으며 a, b값도 22.738과 19.941로 제일 높게 나왔다. 고추의 적색소인 capsanthin은 D사가 80.0mg/100g으로 가장 많았으며 A, C, B사가 각각 75.0, 58.9, 51.0mg/100g 순이었고 ASTA color 도 같은 경 향을 보였다. Capsanthin 양과는 달리 L, a, b값 모두 C사가 제일 높게 나왔는데 이는 고춧가루의 입도에 의한 영향 때문으로 여겨진다 각 고춧가루의 pH 차이는 크지 않았으며 유기산은 A, B, D사 제품에서 quinic acid가 가장 많이 검출되었으며 C사 제품은citric acid가 가장 높게 검출되었다. 신미성분 가운데 capsaicin은 D사가 59.93mg/100g으로 가장 많았으며 B사가 25.87mg/100g으로 제일 적었으며 capsaicinoids는 각각 62.93, 28.20mg/100g로 나타나 2배 이상의 차이를 보였다. 미생물의 발생 가능성을 추정할 수 있는 수분활성 도는 A, B, C, D사가 각각 0.584, 0.676, 0.526 및 0.568 로 나타나 A, C, D사 제품은 문제가 없을 것으로 예측되나 B사 제품의 수분활성도가 0.676으로 곰팡이 발생 우려가 있을 것으로 예측되었다.
