Genetic Diversity and Origin of Chinese Domestic Goats Revealed by Complete mtDNA D-loop Sequence Variation

  • China has numerous native domestic goat breeds, but so far there has been no extensive study on genetic diversity, population demographic history, and origin of Chinese goats. To determine the origin and genetic diversity of Chinese goats, we analyzed the complete mtDNA D-loop sequences of 183 goats from 13 breeds. The haplotype diversity value found in each breed ranged from 0.9333 to 1.0000. The nucleotide diversity value ranged from 0.006337 to 0.025194. Our results showed that there were four mtDNA lineages (A, B, C and D), in which lineage A was predominant, lineage B was moderate, and lineages C and D were at low frequencies. Lineages C and D were observed only in the Tibetan breed. The results revealed multiple maternal origins of Chinese domestic goats. There was weaker geographical structuring in the 13 Chinese goat populations, which suggested that there existed high gene flow among goat populations caused by the extensive transportation of goats in the course of history.

  • A chemical vapor curing method(CVC) was developed to cure polycarbosilane(PCS) fibers by using cyclohexene vapour as a non-oxygen active reactant, instead of air in oder to prepare the silicon carbide(SiC) fiber with low oxygen content. A cross-linked PCS fibers by cyclohexene vapor showed a completely different variation in IR spectra in comparison to the air-cured PCS fiber. CVC method resulted in less than 3 wt% in oxygen content. In this experiment conditions, The average tensile strength and modulus of SiC fiber obtained by CVC had 1995 MPa and 183 GPa respectively, which is higher than that of SiC fiber prepared by air-curing process.

여자 개성복에 관한 연구(II) -봄철 blouse를 중심으로- (The Study of Women's Rdady-made Wears in Korea -Mainly with Blouse-)

  • The purpose of this study were: (1) to ascertain the labels, (2) to investigate the designs and materials of blouses, and (3) to analyze the prices. The period of observation was from April 1st to May 10th, 1981. The interviews with related producers and saleswomen and a questionnaire were used for this study. The questionaire was made with items after finishing the pretest. The observation of six observers was made in markets(group D). B), commercial agents manufactures (group C), and bontiques group D). For the statistical analysis, 120 blouses were used among 154 blouses which were examined. The results of this study indicated that: (1) Blouses with labels were 56.7% by group A and 100.0% by group BC and D. (2) In the styles of blouses, box style was popular I four groups. (3) Among various types of sleeves, set-in sleeve was popular in four groups. The most sleeves were finished with cuffs. (4) The shirtwaist collars were popular in group AQ and B, rippled collars and chinese collars I group C, and rippled collars I group D.(5) In thee materials of blouses, polyester was poplar I group A and B, polyester/cotton in group C, and cotton in group d. (6) The prices of blouses were from 4,500 to 15,000 won in group A, from 5,000 to 37,300 won in group B, from 12,500 to 52,000 won in group C, and from 30,000 to 90,000 won in group D.

  • 3D stabilizing system구현 전 단계로서, 본 논문에서는 vehicle의 운동 중에도 지정된 방향을 유지하는 2D stabilizing system을 제작하였다. 본 system을 controller로서 DSP TMS320F240을, rate gyroscope로서 vibratory rate gyro(Tokimec co. TFG -l60D), direct drive driver/motor로서 SD1015B52-1·SD1004C04-l/DM1015B·DM1004C, control algorithm로서 PI control을 이용 system을 구현하여 rate gyro를 이용, 발생 error를 보상하도록 하여 비교적 나은 안정화 결과를 얻었다.

석탄가스 정제를 위한 safety filter 제작용 내식 합금의 평가 (Evaluaton of Corrosion-resistant Alloys for Safety Metal Filter of IGCC System)

  • 석탄가스화 복합발전의 집진 공정에 사용하기 위한 금속제 safety filter의 재질 선정을 위하여 황화수소 가스 분위기에서 합금강의 부식 특성을 규명하였다. 사용 합금강은 SUS 310, SUS 316, Inconel 600과 Hastelloy X이다. 전기로 내에 설치된 지름 50mm의 qualtz 튜브 반응기에서 부식실험이 행하여졌다. 40$0^{\circ}C$부터 $700^{\circ}C$까지의 등은 조건에서 실험이 행하여졌고, 분위기 가스의 영향을 보기 위하여 H$_2$S 가스를 함유한 $N_2$(dry), $N_2$(saturation), $CO_2$(dry), 그리고 석탄가스 분위기에서 실험하였다. 부식 생성물을 파악하기 위하여 X-ray 회절기와 주사전자현미경 분석이 함께 이루어졌다. 1.7% H$_2$S, $600^{\circ}C$ 이하 온도 조건에서는 니켈계 내식강 중 Hastelloy X와 철계 내식강 중 SUS 310 등 고크롬 합금강이 IGCC 용 필터 소재 금속으로서 높은 내부식성을 나타내었다. 0.3%~4.99% 황화수소 농도 범위에서 황화수소 농도 변화에 따라서 SUS 310의 경우 3~237mg/d$m^2$.day, Inconel 600의 경우 4~660mg/d$m^2$.day로 부식속도는 크게 증가되었다. 50$0^{\circ}C$, 석탄가스 분위기에서 부식속도는 SUS 310은 45mg/d$m^2$.day, SUS 316은 110mg/d$m^2$.day, Inconel 600은 576mg/d$m^2$.day, 그리고 Hastelloy X 는 140mg/d$m^2$.day로서 합금강 시편 중 SUS 310 합금강이 가장 우수한 내식성을 나타내었다. 부식 표면에는 황화니켈, 황화철 피막이 형성되었다.

Specific Isoforms of Protein Kinase G Downregulate the Transcription of Cyclin D1 in NIH3T3

  • To elucidate the role of PKG isoforms in transcriptional control of cyclin D1, we employed a series of expression vectors of PKG $1{\alpha}$ and PKG $1{\beta}$ which encode HA-tagged wild type and constitutively active (SD and ${\Delta}N$) mutants. Our present study demonstrates that both the constitutively active mutants of PKG $1{\beta}$ downregulate the transcription of cyclin D1 when transiently transfected in NIH3T3 cells, whereas PKG $1{\alpha}$ mutants show weak inhibition. We further studied the transcriptional regulators of cyclin D1, such as, c-fos, NF-${\kappa}B$, and CRE by using the luciferase reporter assay. Constitutively active mutants of PKG $1{\beta}$ showed marked transcriptional downregulation of c-fos in NIH3T3 cells, whereas PKG $1{\alpha}$ downregulated c-fos to a lesser extent. We also found that the constitutively active mutants of PKG negatively regulated the activation of NF-${\kappa}B$ and CRE, suggesting their involvement in the regulation of cyclin D1.

  • 참나무속 상수리나무와 굴참나무 수피를 채취하여 아세톤-물(7:3, v/v) 혼합용액으로 추출하고 유기용매를 제거한 후 hexane, CH₂C1₂, EtOAc 및 수용성으로 분획하여 동결건조하였다. 두 수종의 EtOAc용성 분획물은 MeOH 수용액 및 EtOH-hexane 혼합용액을 사용하여 Sephadex LH-20 칼럼크로마토그래피를 수행하였다. 단리된 화합물의 구조는 ¹H, /sup 13/C 및 2D-NMR spectrum으로 구조를 구명하였다. 화합물의 분자량은 FAB-MS로 측정하였다. 굴참나무에서는 (+)-catechin, caffeic acid, taxifolin-3-O-β-D-glucopyranoside를 단리 하였으며 상수리나무에서는 (+)-catechin, (+)-gallocatechin, gallic acid, taxifolin-3-O-β-D-glucopyranoside를 단리 하였다.

  • 보리짚이나 옥수수 속과 같은 농산폐자원으로부터 xylose를 생산하기 위한 생물전환공정에 관한 연구를 수행했다. 보리짚이나 1% 가성소다용액으로 24시간 3$0^{\circ}C$ 전처리한후 3$0^{\circ}C$에서 48시간 효소 가수분해를 시킨 결과 15.8%의 환원당을 유리시켰다. 이 환원당의 량은 보리 짚에 들어있는 전 D-xylose 함량에 87%에 해당하는 것이다. 여러 가지 농산폐자원의 효소전환공정을 시험한 결과, 보리짚과 옥수수속이 D-xylose 생산에 가장 적합한 원료가 픽수 있음을 관찰하였다.

  • This study was carried out to obtain basic data on physiological characteristics for an artificial cultivation of fruiting body of C. pruinosa. C. pruinosa showed the most favorable growth on the MCM medium. The optimal condition for the mycelial growth was obtained at 25$^{\circ}C$ and pH 5.0, respectively. Carbon sources such as arabinose, mannose, xylose were favorable for stimulating a mycelial growth and fruiting bodies of C. pruinosa. Ammonium nitrate, ammonium citrate and ammonium tartrate of nitrogen sources also appeared to be good in the mycelial growth and fruiting body formation.
