  • In this paper we investigate the upper bound on the Castelnuovo-Mumford regularity of a graded module with linear free presentation. Let M be a finitely generated graded module over a polynomial ring R with zero dimensional support. We prove that if M is generated by elements of degree $d{\geq}0$ with a linear free presentation $$\bigoplus^p{R}(-d-1)\longrightarrow^{\phi}\bigoplus^q{R}(-d){\longrightarrow}M{\longrightarrow}0$$, then the Castelnuovo-Mumford regularity of M is at most d+q-1. As an important application, we can prove vector bundle technique, which was used in [11], [13], [17] as a tool for obtaining several remarkable results.

  • In this paper, we designed and fabricated a compact UHF receive module for efficient operation such as tactical and operation situation, target location information confirmation, target reset using Link-K(Korean joint tactical data link system). And the effect of target reset was analyzed by simulation. The designed module consists of UHF(ultra high frequency) receiver section, control section, and power distribution section. The UHF receiver section performs frequency down conversion, filtering and automatic gain control, etc. The control section demodulates frequency down-converted signals, extracts information, and performs external interworking. The power distribution section supplies external power, generates and supplies the power required by each section. The fabricated module was dimension of $105{\times}105{\times}80mm$ and weighed 1.10 kg and The receiving distance is more than 50 km.

  • Let (R, m) be a commutative Noetherian ring, I an ideal of R and M a non-zero finitely generated R-module. We show that if M and $H_0(I,M)$ are aCM R-modules and $I=(x_1,{\cdots},x_{n+1})$ such that $x_1,{\cdots},x_n$ is an M-regular sequence, then $H_i(I,M)$ is an aCM R-module for all i. Moreover, we prove that if R and $H_i(I,R)$ are aCM for all i, then R/(0 : I) is aCM. In addition, we prove that if R is aCM and $x_1,{\cdots},x_n$ is an aCM d-sequence, then depth $H_i(x_1,{\cdots},x_n;R){\geq}i-1$ for all i.

  • If R is ring and M is a right (or left) R-module, then M is called a faithful R-module if, for some a in R, x.a=0 for all x.mem.M then a=0. In [4], R.E. Johnson defines that M is a prime module if every non-zero submodule of M is faithful. Let us define that M is of prime type provided that M is faithful if and only if every non-zero submodule is faithful. We call a right (left) ideal I of R is of prime type if R/I is of prime type as a R-module. This is equivalent to the condition that if xRy.subeq.I then either x.mem.I ro y.mem.I (see [5:3:1]). It is easy to see that in case R is a commutative ring then a right or left ideal of a prime type is just a prime ideal. We have defined in [5], that a chain of right ideals of prime type in a ring R is a finite strictly increasing sequence I$_{0}$.contnd.I$_{1}$.contnd....contnd.I$_{n}$; the length of the chain is n. By the right dimension of a ring R, which is denoted by dim, R, we mean the supremum of the length of all chains of right ideals of prime type in R. It is an integer .geq.0 or .inf.. The left dimension of R, which is denoted by dim$_{l}$ R is similarly defined. It was shown in [5], that dim$_{r}$R=0 if and only if dim$_{l}$ R=0 if and only if R modulo the prime radical is a strongly regular ring. By "a strongly regular ring", we mean that for every a in R there is x in R such that axa=a=a$^{2}$x. It was also shown that R is a simple ring if and only if every right ideal is of prime type if and only if every left ideal is of prime type. In case, R is a (right or left) primitive ring then dim$_{r}$R=n if and only if dim$_{l}$ R=n if and only if R.iden.D$_{n+1}$ , n+1 by n+1 matrix ring on a division ring D. in this paper, we establish the following results: (1) If R is prime ring and dim$_{r}$R=n then either R is a righe Ore domain such that every non-zero right ideal of a prime type contains a non-zero minimal prime ideal or the classical ring of ritght quotients is isomorphic to m*m matrix ring over a division ring where m.leq.n+1. (b) If R is prime ring and dim$_{r}$R=n then dim$_{l}$ R=n if dim$_{l}$ R=n if dim$_{l}$ R<.inf. (c) Let R be a principal right and left ideal domain. If dim$_{r}$R=1 then R is an unique factorization domain.TEX>R=1 then R is an unique factorization domain.

  • Lightweight and flexible photovoltaic (PV) modules are attractive for building-integrated photovoltaic (BIPV) applications because of their easy construction and applicability. In this study, we fabricated lightweight and flexible c-Si PV modules using ethylene tetrafluoroethylene (ETFE) front cover and shingled design string cells. The ETFE front cover instead of glass made the PV modules lighter in weight, and the shingled design string cells increased the flexibility. Finally, we fabricated a PV module with a conversion power of 240.08 W at an area of 1.25 m2 and weighed only 2 kg/m2. Moreover, to check the PV module's flexibility, we conducted a bending test. The difference of conversion power between the modules before and after bending shown was only 1.7 W, which showed a power reduction rate of about 0.7%.

  • This paper estimates numerically cells the electrical characteristics of the PV module with environmental changes such as shunt resistance, series resistance, temperature, irradiance. Series resistance $R_s$ including diode characteristic resistance $r_d$ is derived from the p-n junction diode model. I-V characteristics of this model with series resistance $R_s$ are simulated on Matlab. Finally, theoretical I-V characteristics are compared with those of solar simulator. Those results agreed well within the manufacturer's maximum error range 3%

  • In this study, we predict the generation of end-of-life photovoltaic modules when Feed in Tariff applied, in Republic of Korea. Based on the installation of photovoltaic modules, we prepared three different senarios in order to estimate the generation of end-of-life photovoltaic modules. The senarios are i) early worn-out, ii) mid worn-out and iii) late-worn out senario. We selected the mid worn-out senario to estimated the amount of end-of-life photovoltaic modules in this study. Establishment of the end-of-life module generation scenario predicted generation of end-of-life photovoltaic module, and forecasted generation amount of end-of-life module to which Feed in Tariff was applied in consideration of installed photovoltaic modules installed by Feed in Tariff support. The generation of Feed in Tariff-applied end-of-life modules increased from 2021 to 2025 compared to without Feed in Tariff, and since then, the Feed in Tariff-applied end-of-life modules were generated as waste modules during the relevant period (2021 ~ 2025).

  • This paper presents a design, fabrication and the test results of planar active electronically scanned array(AESA) radar prototype for airborne fighter applications using transmit/receive(T/R) module hybrid technology. LIG Nex1 developed a AESA radar prototype to obtain key technologies for airborne fighter's radar. The AESA radar prototype consists of a radiating array, T/R modules, a RF manifold, distributed power supplies, beam controllers, compact receivers with ADC(Analog-to-Digital Converter), a liquid-cooling unit, and an appropriate structure. The AESA antenna has a 590 mm-diameter, active-element area capable of containing 536 T/R modules. Each module is located to provide a triangle grid with $14.7\;mm{\times}19.5\;mm$ spacing among T/R modules. The array dissipates 1,554 watts, with a DC input of 2,310 watts when operated at the maximum transmit duty factor. The AESA radar prototype was tested on near-field chamber and the results become equal in expected beam pattern, providing the accurate and flexible control of antenna beam steering and beam shaping.

  • Let 𝔞 and 𝔟 be ideals of a commutative Noetherian ring R and M be a finitely generated R-module of dimension d > 0. We prove some results concerning the top local cohomology and top formal local cohomology modules. Among other things, we determine SuppR(𝔟 Hd𝔞(M)) and SuppR(𝔟𝔉d𝔞(M)). Also, we obtain some relations between AnnR(𝔟 Hd𝔞(M)), AttR(𝔟 Hd𝔞(M)) and SuppR(𝔟 Hd𝔞(M)) and we get similar results for 𝔟𝔉d𝔞(M).
