정기교체 및 최소수리를 고려한 작업주기 횟수 최적화 (Optimal Working Cycles for Minimal Repair Policy)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this paper is to determine an optimal number of cycle times for the replacement under the circumstance where the system is replaced at the periodic time and the multiple number of working cycles whichever occurs first and the system is minimally repaired between the replacements if it fails. Methods: The system is replaced at periodic time () or cycle time, whichever occurs first, and is repaired minimally when it fails between successive replacements. To determine the optimal number of cycle times, the expected total cost rate is optimized with respect to the number of cycle times, where the expected total cost rate is defined as the ratio of the expected total cost between replacements to the expected time between replacements. Results: In this paper, we conduct a sensitivity analysis to find the following results. First, when the expected number of failures per unit time increases, the optimal number of cycle times decreases. Second, when the periodic time for replacement becomes longer, the optimal number of cycle times decreases. Third, when the expected value for exponential distribution of the cycle time increases, the optimal number of cycle times increases. Conclusion: A mathematical model is suggested to find the optimal number of cycle times and numerical examples are provided through the sensitivity analysis on the model parameters to see the patterns for changes of the optimal number of cycle times.

  • 이 논문에서는, 풀 HD 영상을 실시간에 처리가능한 새로운 화면 내 예측 및 DCTQ 하드웨어구조를 제안한다. 화면내 예측,.$4{\times}4$ 을 처리하기 위한 예측과 변환, 양자화, 역양자화, 역변환및 복원의 전체 cycle 을 줄일 수 있는 방법을 제안한다. $4{\times}4$ 예측 부호화 cycle을 줄이기 위해, 양자화과정을 예측 사이클에서 적용할 수 있도록 하였으며, 회로의 크기를 줄이기 위하여 9가지 모드 중 2개의 모드를 먼저 선택하는 알고리듬을 사용하였다. 또한 $16{\times}16$ 예측과 $8{\times}8$ 예측 과정를 하나의 코어를 이용하여 설계하므로 크기를 줄였다. 제안된 구조는 108Mhz 클럭에서 full HD영상을 30frame/sec에서 동작하며, 한 매크로블록의 처리 cycle 은 425 cycle이다.

  • Nitinol wires are now widely used in the orthodontic field because of their unique shape memory effect and superelasticity. But sometimes Nitinol wires are deformed in clinical use. Fatigue load is possible cause of Nitinol deformation. To determine the effect of fatigue load to the mechanical properties of Nitinol, various fatigue cycle$(1\times10^4,\;2\times10^4,\;3\times10^4,\;4\times10^4,\;5\times10^4,\;1\times10^5)$ were applied to $0.017\times0.025$ inch Nitinol. The results obtained were as follows ; 1. Applied load increased as fatigue cycle increased in three point bending test. 2. Maximum tensile strength and elongation decreased as fatigue cycle increased. 3. Tn SEM, brittle fracture pattern was increased when fatigue cycle increased.

Comparing Operation Cycle Times of Container Yard Cranes under Various Sequencing Rules

  • This study compares the cycle times of handling operations of yard cranes under different sequencing rules. An operation cycle was divided into several elementary movements and formulas for the expectation and the variance of each elementary movement were analytically derived. The expected waiting time of trucks was estimated based on the given arrival rate of trucks. The previous studies focused on developing a method to make an efficient schedule of operations for yard cranes. This paper introduces several sequencing rules, such as first-come-first-served, unidirectional travel, and Z pick travel rules. In addition, a formula for estimating the cycle times of yard cranes under each sequencing rule is derived, and the performance under the different sequencing rules are compared with each other.

  • During the design process of a terminal, the handling capacity of a container yard needs to be evaluated in advance. This study suggests formulas for estimating the expectations and the variances of cycle times for various types of operations of a yard crane. Statistical analysis is used to estimate the expectations and variances. The main focus of this study is to show the impact of interdependencies among handling time elements on the expectation and variance of the cycle times; these interdependencies have not been considered in previous studies. Numerical experiments are done for evaluating the difference in the variance of cycle times and the waiting of trucks between the cases with and without the consideration of interdependencies.

  • Wear of valve seating face and seat insert seating face influence the performance of engine, so they are important. To manufacture good quality valve and seat insert which have wear resistance the relations between wear factors and wear of the two seating faces have to be inspected. Cycle number is one of the important wear factors wearing the two seating faces and it can translate into mileage in rear car. But little is blown. Test variable is only cycle number and the cycle numbers are $2.0{\times}10^6,\;4.0{\times}10^6\;6.0{\times}10^6,\;8.0{\times}10^6$. And the other test conditions were fixed. Rmax of valve seating face and seat insert seating face increase linearly as cycle number is increased. Rmax of valve seating face were smaller than seat insert seating face in each cycle number. Reaction production by tribological reaction and sliding wear was found on the two faces.

단일 공급자 다수 구매자 공급체인에서 공급자주기 (The Cycle Time of the Vendor in a Single-Vendor Multi-Buyers Supply Chain)

  • This paper is to analyze the cycle time of the vendor in a single-vendor multi-buyers supply chain. The vendor is the manufacturer and the buyers are the retailers. The cycle time of the vendor is the elapse time from the beginning time of the production to the beginning time of the next production. The cycle time of the vendor that minimizes the total cost in a supply chain is analyzed. The cost factors are the production setup cost and the inventory holding cost of the vendor, the ordering cost and the inventory holding cost of the retailers. The cycle times of the vendor obtained with the costs of the vendor is compared with those obtained with the costs of the vendor and the retailers. Various numerical examples are tested if the cycle times of the vendor for both methods are the same.

생애주기별 통근통행시간 영향요인 분석: 경기도를 중심으로 (Study on Commuting Travel Time devided by Life Cycle: In Gyeonggi-Do Case)

  • 본 연구는 통근자를 생애주기별로 구분하여 하루 동안 발생하는 통행시간에 미치는 요인을 분석하였다. 본 연구에서 통행시간이란, 통행사슬(Trip chain)개념을 적용하여 통근자가 집에서 출발하여 귀가할 때까지 하루 동안 일어나는 활동을 위해 이동하는데 소요된 시간의 합을 의미한다. 통근자의 생애주기는 가구주의 연령, 가족구성원의 유형을 근거로 미혼청년기, 가족형성기, 자녀교육기, 자녀청년기, 자녀독립기, 노년기의 6단계로 구분하였다. 생애주기별 통행특성은 통행시간, 사이클 수, 스톱수를 볼 때 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 콕스비례해저드 모델을 적용하여 통행시간에 영향을 미치는 요인을 분석한 결과, 일부요인들은 생애주기별 통행시간에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구는 실증적인 연구로써 경기도를 대상으로 하였으며, 자료는 2010년 가구통행실태조사 자료를 이용하였다.

사이클 수 증가에 따른 엔진밸브 및 시트인서트 착좌면 마모 (A Wear of Engine Valve and Seat Insert Seating Face Depending on Cycle Numbers)

  • This study investigated the wear of the valve and seat insert seating faces. A tester, an exhaust valve and a seat insert were used. Test variables were cycle numbers ($2{\times}10^6,\;4{\times}10^6,\;6{\times}10^6\;and\;8{\times}10^6$) and Hz (10Hz and 25Hz). The other test conditions such as temperature ($350^{\circ}C$), fuel (LPG) and load (1960N) were fixed. The 10Hz tests indicated that the average Rmax of the valve increased at the rate of $7.76{\mu}m/10^6$ cycles starting from $29.42{\mu}m$ at the $2{\times}10^6$ cycles and that of the seat insert increased at the rate of $8.57{\mu}m/10^6$ cycles starting from $34.19{\mu}m$ at the $2{\times}10^6$ cycles. The 25Hz tests indicated that the average Rmax of the valve increased at the rate of $1.58{\mu}m/10^6$ cycles starting from $74.2{\mu}m$ at the $2{\times}10^6$ cycles and that of the seat insert increased at the rate of $1.25{\mu}m/10^6$ cycles starting from $83.95{\mu}m$ at the $2{\times}10^6$ cycles. The tribochemical reaction product covered the two seating faces, preventing the wear of the seating faces. As cycle numbers became greater, the average Rmax of the seating faces became greater, but the increase rate varied significantly depending on the Hz. The wear mechanism of the two faces was investigated through the tribochemical reaction.

자외선을 이용한 활어용 수조수의 위생 대책 수립 (Sanitary Control of Aquarium Tank Water with U.V. Light)

  • 생선 횟집의 활어용 수조수에 대한 위생 대책 수립의 일환으로 자외선을 이용한 제균 효과를 검토하였다. 1. 물 두께 10mm (유수량: 730ml/sec, 등; 5조, 통과 시간: 2.4초)와 자외선 조사량 75W의 조건에서 자외선 등 통과 직후의 해수에서의 생균수 감소율은 평균 $85.0\%$였다. 2. 장염 비브리오균의 경우, 자외선 조사 후 1시간만에 3 log cycle 감소하였으며, 그 이후 큰 변화가 없었다. 3. 한편 쥐치에 같은 조건으로 72시간 처리했을 때 내장 세균의 감소는 거의 없었으나, 돌돔 및 쥐치의 표피와 아가미에서의 생균수 감소율은 약 2log cycle이었다. 4. 패류의 여수율을 좋게 하기 위하여 수조수의 온도를 $20-23^{\circ}C$로 조절한 수조에서 홍합과 굴을 같은 조건으로 처리했을 때 24시간 후에 생균수의 감소율은 홍합과 굴에서 각각 2 log cycle 정도였으며, 분변계 대장균의 경우는 각각 3 log cycle, 1.5 log cycle 정도 감소하였다.
