A Legal Study on the Electronic Ticketing (전자항공권의 법적 제문제에 대한 고찰)

  • Electronic ticketing ("e-ticketing") through the internet will be the most critical commercial tool in the international airline industry. Actually the International Air Transport Association(IATA) has announced that it's goal is to accomplish 100 percent implementation of e-ticketing worldwide by 2007. Domestically e-ticketing will be put into operation in a full scale from the next year(2007). Thus, we count on, sooner or later, e-ticketing will be accomplished globally. As a legal aspect, this e-ticketing raises many legal issues which are no longer subject to a static set of legal rules driven by judicial precedent because e-ticketing is carried out on the "cyber space" which is a new and developing law area. In this treatise, I studied these legal issues, specially on the time and place(jurisdiction) of the contract which are the most important issues based on the New Montreal Convention signed at Montreal on May 28, 1999, which would seem prove that the airline industry is receptive and capable of change. Upon this opportunity, I hope the more comprehensive legal study on the e-ticketing will be introduced in the near future.

  • Development of science technology make integrated CPS(Cyber-Physical System) appear. In CPS era, cyberspace and physical-space are hard to separate anymore, that is developing toward integrated CPS. The reality is not stopping, that is consistently changing and the concept of space is developing too. But several articles are considering for cyberspace and physical-space separately, and they are developing tailed alternative each case. The theorical approaching that is not considering reality is dwelled on past, and is dangerous from dropping down to floating cloud that is not considering progressed reality. This article is suggested to consider rimland theory to control measures in cyberspace. That is dedicated to integrated approaching from physical-space to cyberspace. And that is developing concreted controling measures in cyberspace. Especially, this article is suggested to policy alternative by analyzing north korea cyber warfare from rimland theory including human sources. Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication. This article make integrated approaching effects about cyberspace and physical-space to preparing in the CPS era.

Study on High-speed Cyber Penetration Attack Analysis Technology based on Static Feature Base Applicable to Endpoints (Endpoint에 적용 가능한 정적 feature 기반 고속의 사이버 침투공격 분석기술 연구)

  • Cyber penetration attacks can not only damage cyber space but can attack entire infrastructure such as electricity, gas, water, and nuclear power, which can cause enormous damage to the lives of the people. Also, cyber space has already been defined as the fifth battlefield, and strategic responses are very important. Most of recent cyber attacks are caused by malicious code, and since the number is more than 1.6 million per day, automated analysis technology to cope with a large amount of malicious code is very important. However, it is difficult to deal with malicious code encryption, obfuscation and packing, and the dynamic analysis technique is not limited to the performance requirements of dynamic analysis but also to the virtual There is a limit in coping with environment avoiding technology. In this paper, we propose a machine learning based malicious code analysis technique which improve the weakness of the detection performance of existing analysis technology while maintaining the light and high-speed analysis performance applicable to commercial endpoints. The results of this study show that 99.13% accuracy, 99.26% precision and 99.09% recall analysis performance of 71,000 normal file and malicious code in commercial environment and analysis time in PC environment can be analyzed more than 5 per second, and it can be operated independently in the endpoint environment and it is considered that it works in complementary form in operation in conjunction with existing antivirus technology and static and dynamic analysis technology. It is also expected to be used as a core element of EDR technology and malware variant analysis.

Reinterpretation on Propertiness of Online Game Item (온라인게임 아이템의 재물성에 대한 재검토)

  • Online game provides a kind of cyber money aden and game instruments, items in order to attract game users. Game users want stronger, better and higher-leveled items with competition. Demands and supplies on items are formed and the transactions are made. The problem is there happen frequently illegal behaviors in the process of transactions. Among these illegal behaviors, for using other's id and password without authorization and stealing items, rejecting to return assigned items, providing stolen item to other who knows the fact or destroying others' items, it is difficult to apply provisions on properties in the criminal code on them. Because the criminal code has a duty to prevent separation between substantial criminal behavior and regulations, it should reflect substantial cultures and values of the times. Therefore, property like items in cyber space can be considered as new property to need to be protect under the criminal code and it may be not an interpretation of expansion. The reason is it is practical and reasonable to judge whether propertiness can be established considering cyber space's unique characteristics. It is time to review propertiness of Article No. 346 according to the request of times of the digital age.

A Study of Method to Restore Deduplicated Files in Windows Server 2012 (윈도우 서버 2012에서 데이터 중복 제거 기능이 적용된 파일의 복원 방법에 관한 연구)

  • Deduplication is a function to effectively manage data and improve the efficiency of storage space. When the deduplication is applied to the system, it makes it possible to efficiently use the storage space by dividing the stored file into chunks and storing only unique chunk. However, the commercial digital forensic tool do not support the file system analysis, and the original file extracted by the tool can not be executed or opened. Therefore, in this paper, we analyze the process of generating chunks of data for a Windows Server 2012 system that can apply deduplication, and the structure of the resulting file(Chunk Storage). We also analyzed the case where chunks that are not covered in the previous study are compressed. Based on these results, we propose the method to collect deduplicated data and reconstruct the original file for digital forensic investigation.

  • The speed of technological development is increasing, and high-performance digital devices are spreading. Wired digital devices such as PCs have been optimized for existing wired environments, but needs are shifting away from the constraints of space and space to smart work that enables efficient work anywhere and anytime. The Smart Work System security design is needed to secure integrity and availability in the face of various security threats including physical threats (lost, stolen, and damaged terminals), technical threats (data theft, DoS: denial of service), and unauthorized access outside the wired environment. In this study, we analyzed smart work network systems, wired / wireless link systems, and digital smart devices. We also studied cyber-attack analysis and cybersecurity design methods for a Smart Work wired system and a future wireless system. This study will be used as basic data for building a secure Smart Work system.

Developing Cyber-Compact City Strategies for Sustainable Transportation (지속가능교통을 위한 사이버 압축도시 개발 방안 연구)

  • This study focused on developing strategies of cyber-compact city, combining compact city with information and communications technologies(ICTs), in order to enhance sustainable transportation. The cyber-compact city development is defined as a development that is able to reduce travel by ICTs and encourage people to use transit or non-motorized vehicles such as bicycles for ICT-induced travel (especially, discretionary travel) by compact and mixed land use. It can be achieved with combining cyber and compact strategies with respect to network, node, and area. For example, ICT network may use transit network facility, a transfer station may be a hub of ICTs, and transit influenced zone may work with ICT service area. We proposed three cohesive strategies for the cyber-compact city based on literature review and case studies on cyber and compact cities. The first strategy is a cohesion between public transportation and telecommunication network by centering on the two for national and urban spatial linkage structure. That is, cities or urban centers and its peripheral areas can be connected by rail network, and extra space of railway network can be used for constructing telecommunication network infrastructure. The second strategy is a cohesion between public transportation node and telecommunication node by building up regional and urban telecommunication centers near to or at main railway stations. For this strategy, telework centers and communication service centers should be established mainly at transfer stations. The third strategy is a cohesion between public transportation impact zone and telecommunication impact zone as transit oriented development.

  • In the 21st century, the higher CCTV, hidden Camera, and surveillance and contra-surveillance in Cyber-space are, the higher the voices of concern about surveillance society nationally are. Nevertheless, phenomenon of panoptisme is becoming into general use. Actually, this watching system should be on the rise but this is the output playing up and advertising the positive effect of immediate convenience and offering safety that government and business made. Thus, this study wants to offer implication to warn the invasion of privacy and generalization controlled society as pointed out cause and problem of the surveillance society time according to the digital era.

  • With the rapid development of information technology in 21st century, networks are being used with various devices. Most human actions are processed through cyber space, and it is no longer separate from daily life; it has changed into one of the most important aspects of human life. Unfortunately, in cyber space, certification method has not only technical problems, but also ethological problems. Many users seemed to use the same password throughout several sites. And for a long period they refused to change it or made a small change from the earlier password. This research aims to discuss general factors of choosing and using passwords within information security through statistical analysis.
