In this thesis. we present the cyber lecture system based on XML 3-tier that uses the communication network as the internet. The system was designed to analysis the existing cyber lecture system and its details and to examine web system architecture and XML 3-tier model. With the designed system, we developed the cyber lecture system. We tested the existing system for performance and problem, then we improved the method of the cyber lecture system used by XML 3-tier Model. The cyber lecture system is offered the handiness of the cyber lecture system using web interface.

Cyber lectures were expected to replace the traditional classroom lecture, yet they were criticized due to the inefficiency. With educational technology supplemented, cyber lectures have improved their efficiency through the coherence of superior planning ability and improvement in computer and network technology. This paper's purpose is to understand the factors that improve educational efficiency of cyber lectures. Cyber lecture for IT subject for software practice is created to test the educational efficiency as lecture on theories will not distinctively show the lecture efficiency. The survey was conducted to students and statistical analysis was done on collected data to analyze the factors that influence educational efficiency of created lecture.

The purpose of this study was to evaluate the efficacy of basic integrative lecture course of medical college through cyber lecture. This study was also aimed to develop and implement a progressive cyber-teaching method which integrative lecture system is concerned for medical students. In this study, effectiveness of cyber lecture on the student's satisfaction, content difficulty and course management were analyzed by way of anonymous survey at the end of basic neuroscience integrative lecture course. Survey data were also analyzed with statistical tools to find out strength of correlation between students degree of satisfaction to cyber lecture and their individual grade of this course. The majority of students held positive opinions on course management, level of difficulty in each session, utilizing multimedia contents and preferred cyber lecture system to be continued in the future. Many students also suggested intimate integration of multimedia contents shown in cyber lecture to the lab sessions for the maximization of educational effect. In this study, it suggested that cyber lecture could be a useful tool in teaching integrative medical subjects and play more important role in the future integrative medical subjects with the improvement of present problems and limitations.

E-Learning is a modern main teaching method starting from the concept of remote education. This research is aimed for proposing cyber lecture library system and designing a cyber lecture component that becomes a basis for e-Learning system Cyber lecture library is a storage system of cyber lectures that can supply high quality data to the needed developers. Component consists of 5 categories and those are text voice, image, animation, and flash. By using this system the developers can save the necessary time and effort in education development. This system also helps students. The students can access various lecture data on a given subject and select the best fit for them.

There are numerous advantages of online education to the students and to the institution. There are important factors to be considered for a successful online education. The purposes of this paper are to investigate students' viewpoints, called factors, to the cyber class and analyze these factors to be a successful cyber class. For theses purposes, we developed and constructed the cyber lecture, and we surveyed student evaluations two times for the cyber lecture in the middle and at the end. We found that students view the cyber class with four factors. Assessments on factors were changed during the cyber class and were different according to students' background.

The demand for cyber education in Korea is constantly increasing and the need for research on online lecture on contents design that increases the learning effect is rising. In this research, the online lecture contents about the technical information type provided by Korea Cyber University was understood and we researched about the most preferred lecture type and the most effective lecture type in learning among the 1,173 students in Korea Cyber University who participated in this online survey. Also, we analyzed if the students' preference for the lecture type depended on their experience on that lecture type and we studied the students' claims postulated on the interface design of the lecture contents. The most preferred lecture type among students was e-Stream+flash and they answered that multi-media type lectures were the most effective lectures in learning. The majority of the students preferred lecture contents that they have experienced before and preferred the menu on the left side of the page in interface design. Not only the completeness, but the applications in design in lecture contents are also an important factor in online lectures. As the demand for cyber education in Korea is increasing, content design that can increase the academic performance should be further researched.

Introduction and application of virtual education has been rapidly increased in these days. A variation of information communication technology has an effect on education in interconnect with network as internet in the world that exceed the limit of time and regional. Computer and network communication technology through the medium of internet make an entrance cyber education as a new education paradigm. It must be affective on learner who have various educational characteristics and requirements. It begins to appear quality, quantity improvements of knowledge and the development of information technology that web based cyber education. This study was conducted to develop the web based education program and to evaluate the effectiveness of learning satisfaction and accomplishment and to compare the cyber lecture system with the traditional lecture system During the second semester of 2001, this study was investigated 317 registered students in a "Food and Culture" class at Kyungwon University. The data were obtained from pre and post-study with self-administered questionnaire. The evaluation and satisfaction score of students who were registered in cyberclass was negative tendency to compare pre with post-test scores, because of insuffciency of computer-aided lecture system. The major problem was inconvenient in checking system for connecting times in cyberclass which was one of evaluation point in final score. Another problem was frequently disconnection during cyber studying and not to concentrate each time in the cyber lecture because of eye fatigue, boring due to less interesting contents than other newly developed web-site. The students was prefer to mix type of the cyber and traditional lecture type class. The result of final score an each class, the score of cyber class (71.36 $\pm$ 22.44) was significantly lower than other groups (mixed type : 76.66 $\pm$ 19.99, traditional type :79.17 $\pm$ 15.72) (p < 0.05). Cyber class was attempted to present a useful and interesting teaching and learning tool which can be applied successfully in a longer term. The result suggest that various teaching and learning strategies should be developed considering the fact that the student learn alone most in time.t in time.

Cyber Educations of University are increasing in development of Contents and spreading Internet Network. We need to classify a cyber education by the type, and analyze environment. In addition, We need a measurement of effectiveness and the research of method for activation of cyber education. In this paper, we classify into partial cyber which is mixed face-to face lecture and cyber lecture and full cyber which is organized all cyber lecture, and investigate a satisfaction of learner. We analysis also the problem in cyber classes according to their types, and propose a plan for activation.
