Cut-off sampling is widely used for a highly skewed population like a business survey by discarding a part of the population (the take-nothing stratum). In this paper, we suggest a new composite estimator of the take-nothing stratum total obtained by use of the survey results of the take-nothing stratum and a take-some sub-stratum (a part of take-some stratum) for a more accurate estimate of the population total. Small simulation studies are conducted to compare the performances of known estimators and the new composite estimator suggested in this study. In addition, we use briquette consumption survey data for real data analysis.

The study was performed to investigate the distributions of swine pleuropneumonia in Kyongbuk western area by the enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Sera collected from 400 slaughtered pigs in 3 slaughter houses during the period from May 1999 to october 1999 were tested to detect antibodies against A pleuropneumonie serotype 2 and 5. The optimal dilution of CBE antigen, conjugate and serum for this ELISA were determined 1 : 400, 1 : 20,000, 1 100, respectively. The optimal dilution of OW antigen, conjugate and serum for this ELISA were determined 1 : In, 1 : 20,000, 1 : 200, respectively. Cut-off value in this ELISA was determined by mean absorbance (at 492 nm) of negative control sera added with the triple value of the standard deviation. Cut-off value in ELISA by CBE and OMP antigen were 1.134 and 1.217, respectively. By the ELISA, positive reaction rates to A pleuropneumoniae serotype 2 and 5 for CBE antigen were 38.8% and 18.8%, and for OMP antigen were 42.8% and 23.5% of the 400 samples, respectively.

The cut-off frequencies of higher order modes in a symmetrical stripline are calculated using the variational finite element method combined with the conformal mapping. The conformal mapping is used to Improve the modeling of the infinite transverse extents of a stripline. And then the finite element method is employed to solve the variational equation in the transformed finite region. Comparisons with numerical results found in the literature validate the presented method.

In this paper. we studied cut off characteristics and fire hazard of residual current protective devices(RCD or ELB) for low voltage. The operative time of RCD with grounding resistance was analyzed by using RCD operating tester. The surface structure and composition of insulator were analyzed by using scanning electron microscope(SEM) and energy dispersive x-ray spectroscopy(EDX). The surface of phenol resin showed network structure and void. The spectra shown in EDX analysis are composed not only of the corresponding elements but also of several new spectra, as CK. OK$\alpha$. MgK, SiK. and CaK, which were absent in original material.

본 연구에서는 현재 일반가정이나 영업소에서 사용중인 액화석유가스 용기용밸브의 문제점을 제시하고, L.P 가스사고를 예방할 수 있는 LPG용 과류밸브의 과류차단장치를 개발${\cdot}$제작함에 있어 고압가스 안전관리기준 통합고시 ${\lceil}$제12장 4절 과류차단형 액화석유가스 용기용밸브${\rfloor}$에서 규정한 과류차단 성능시험을 실시하는데 필요한 여러 가지 변수를 선정하여 차단장치의 형상에 따른 최적의 차단 유량 범위를 찾고자 실험을 실시하였으며, 보다 궁극적으로는 일반 용기용밸브가 가진 문제점을 조속히 해결하고 진정한 의미의 안전밸브를 개발하는데 목적이 있다.

We reported on a high performance InGaAs/InAlAs metamorphic HEMT with 50 nm gate length on a GaAs substrate. The fabricated $50nm{\times}60{\mu}m$ MHEMT showed good DC and RF characteristics. Typical drain current density of 740 mA/mm and extrinsic transconductance(gm) of 1.02 S/mm were obtained with our devices. The current gain cut-off frequency(fT) and maximum oscillation frequency(fmax) obtained for the fabricated MHEMT device were 430 GHz and 406 GHz, respectively.

The subjects of this investigation were 393 fourth and fifth graders from two elementary schools in Seoul and parents of these children. The level of fathers' emotional separation from the family of origin was higher than that of mothers'. Mothers were more warm acceptant and rejective restrictive than fathers; fathers were more permissive neglectful than mothers. Both fathers and mothers were more rejective restrictive of girls than of boys. Mothers with high scores in emotional separation from family of origin were more warm acceptant to their children and less rejective restrictive than those with low scores. Fathers with high scores in emotional cut off from the family of origin were more permissive neglectful behavior of their children than fathers with low scores.

This study was carried out develope a motor power change speed device of motor by used micro- controller. This system was producted a auto-change speed device which switching frequency was 1,000MHz by used a auto- controller. It had a continuous output current such as 5A, 11A, 25A, 35A, 50A. It used a variable voltage from 9V to 18V(Maximum). We designed hardware of and software of micro-controller, we are made up of a auto cut-off function by 3.7V for detected power-loss prevention.

Analysis of the transient stability of power systems following disturbances involves many sets of non-linear differential equations. This paper attempts to analyze the transient stability of multi-machine power systems by the step by step method, using the electronic digital computer. The critical switching times and phase angles for the main 154KV transmission system in Korea, are given from the swing curves of the probable conditions. It is concluded that the system is, in general, stable if the relay is cut off within 12 cycles after the fault. However the fault of DAEGU-SANGJU branch, accompanying much real power, makes the system unstable when the raly is cut off within 4 cycles after fault or automatic voltage regulators are equipped in this branch.

A circuit model for a field emission triode has been proposed. The model parameters have been extracted from he fabricated silicon tip array and verified by comparing with the results simulated by circuit simulator(SPICE). The cut-off frequency can be calculated from the parametric capacitance and the transconductance values extracted from measurements. For the field emission triode, the capacitance of 3.45fF/tip and the transconductance of 0.94nS/tip have been measured under the emission current of 4.1nA/tip. From these values, the cut-off frequency is predicted to be 43 kHz but th measured one came out to be 6 kHz. because o the parasitic capacitance components.
