  • The property of the mobile phone is taking important role to choose it. In the present situation, exploring, comparing and analyzing the important properties of regular mobile phone(feature phone) and smart phone are very meaningful study. Therefore, the survey was carried out to get the properties of feature phone and smart phone and analyze the difference of those phones. And proposed the important variables for customer satisfaction which must be given priority. The result showed that 'design' and 'Quality' are important to both mobile phone user groups. The problems with mobile phones currently in use were 'poor performance' to feature phone users and 'expensive charge' and 'poor A/S' to smart phone users. Two groups also showed significant difference with the customer satisfactions, and smart phone user group showed higher satisfaction. For smart phone user group, four factors are induced from the properties but 'Hardware Quality' (representing 'call Quality', 'A/S', 'Convenience to use', 'Battery life') and 'Design & Function'(representing 'Internet', 'Convergence Functions', 'Design, 'Color') have significant and positive effects on Customer Satisfaction.

  • For better predictions and classifications in customer recommendation, this study proposes an integrative model that efficiently combines the currently-in-use statistical and artificial intelligence models. In particular, by integrating the models such as Association Rule, Frequency Matrix, and Rule Induction, this study suggests an integrative prediction model. The data set for the tests is collected from a convenience store G, which is the number one in its brand in S. Korea. This data set contains sales information on customer transactions from September 1, 2005 to December 7, 2005. About 1,000 transactions are selected for a specific item. Using this data set, it suggests an integrated model predicting whether a customer buys or not buys a specific product for target marketing strategy. The performance of integrated model is compared with that of other models. The results from the experiments show that the performance of integrated model is superior to that of all other models such as Association Rule, Frequency Matrix, and Rule Induction.

  • [Purpose] It aims to suggest the differential factors to enhance the customer satisfaction and to activate the shopping in the convenience store (CVS). [Methodology] Convenience store service convenience (CVS SERVCON) was developed at the first time and the gap of relative importance level between the owners and the consumers was assessed by AHP analysis method..[Findings] First, the importance of access convenience was assessed as the first priority in both CVS owners' group and the consumers' group, while the detailed elements showed the differences which required the improvements. Based on the consumers' assessment, the importance of location was relatively low. They assessed relatively high on 24 hours operation of CVS and personal services. Second with respect to the transaction convenience, CVS owners' group rated it as the fourth priority while the consumers' group rated as the second, which requires the improvement. Third in terms of benefit utility and value-added service of post-benefit convenience which are the sub-factors of benefit convenience, the rate on the importance from the consumers showed higher than that from the owners, which requires the improvement. [Implications] Based on this study results, CVS operating companies are anticipated to be able to satisfy the customers, moreover, to secure the loyal customers if they concentrate the resources to develop the differentiation strategy on the areas where the consumers' demands are high while performs the maintenance strategy on the areas where their demands are low. In addition, this study contributed the theoretical expansion of SERVCON upon development of CVS SERVCON to comply with its definition.

  • TV home shopping maintains annual growth in the midst of harsh competition by numerous fashion retail channels. This study investigated the dimensions of service quality of TV home shopping for fashion products as well as the effect of service quality on relationship commitment and customer loyalty. Questionnaires were distributed to consumers in their 20s to 40s who purchased fashion products via TV home shopping in the past 6 months. A total of 240 questionnaires were put into the analysis. The results are as follows. First, four dimensions of service quality of TV home shopping were found: convenience, economy, entertainment, and information seeking. Relationship commitment had two dimensions of affective commitment and calculative commitment. Second, the service quality of TV home shopping affected customer loyalty through a relationship commitment. The predictors of affective commitment were entertainment, economy, and information seeking; in addition, those of calculative commitment were economy and entertainment. Third, both affective commitment and calculative commitment predicted customer loyalty to TV home shopping. The affective commitment had more predictive power. The findings show that the service quality of TV home shopping did not directly affect customer loyalty, but they had influence through relationship commitment variables. Entertainment and economy were the most powerful predictors among service quality dimensions.

  • Purpose: This study analyzed the influence of restaurant service perception on customer satisfaction and its implications on customers' attitude towards, intention to return to, and word-of-mouth (WOM) regarding a restaurant chain. Research design, data and methodology: Data from 421 respondents were collected using the convenience sampling method. After analyzing the data normality and removing responses with missing data and outliers, 342 responses were selected for further analysis, and the hypotheses were tested using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). Results: We found that service perception affected customer satisfaction and customer satisfaction affected the customers' attitude toward the restaurant chain, which affected customers' intention to return and WOM about the restaurant chain. Conclusions: This paper provides one of the most important empirical results for managers in the restaurant sector, especially in Indonesia. Restaurant managers should thus provide training to their employees to improve the quality of the interaction with the customers and thereby increase customer satisfaction. The limitations listed in this study include the exclusion of respondents' income. For future research, we suggest investigating models of customer participation or consumer value co-creation for restaurant marketing success. Consumers are generic actors in the service ecosystem engaged in the value co-creation process.
