A Study on Design Trend of Next Generation Korean Electric Boat (차세대 한국형 전기보트 디자인 트렌드 연구)

  • The design trend of leisure boat has been developed through interrelation of maritime culture and ships. We studied the design trend of leisure boat of several countries with advanced maritime culture and proposed digital design process of electric boat exterior that could reflect sensibilities of Korean customers. The result could be useful to domestic small and medium-scale shipbuilders currently face global financial recession and new challenge to focus on development of eco-friendly leisure ships.

  • A human sensibility ergonomics design supporting system was applied to the product development for the customer's satisfaction based on ergonomics technology. The system is composed of three major subsystems such as customer's sensibility analysis, inference mechanism, and presentation technology. The main approaches of the system are to analyze customer's sensibilities and to translate them into product design elements. The purpose of this paper is to develop a design supporting system in which the relationship between customer's sensibility and product design elements is reasoned by a MADM(Multi-Attribute Decision Making) fuzzy model. In this model, three variables such as multiple correlation coefficients, partial correlation coefficients, and category scores were used in reasoning process. The weighted value of the words were also considered in fuzzy decision process. As a case study, the design supporting system with the MADM fuzzy model was applied to the personnel computer design.

Exterior Design of Electric Vehicle Using Web Based Human Sensibility Assessment (Web 기반의 감성평가를 활용한 전기자동차 익스테리어 디자인)

  • Consumer satisfaction and feelings with form play an essential role in determining the success of a product. However, contemporary industrial design processes typically employ designer driven, intuitive methods for generating and evaluating form concepts. This paper describes the implementation process of web based design support system that helps assess customer's feelings or sensibilities of forms created in each stages of design process. The present web based approach provides designers with fast and various feedbacks about their design in each stage by using assessment with object VR and web 3D as well as ordinary 2D images. Practical application for exterior design of electric vehicle was illustrated and the further refinement of the design support system was discussed.

  • Nowadays, the design and development of footwear are focused on not only to protect feet against some injuries also to satisfy its personality and high-quality based on customer' subjective sensibilities. Many image source based human sensibility is needed to establish concept of footwear by new idea in design process. For satisfying costumer's and designer's disires, this study is concerned to evaluate and analyze images using human sensibility and construct image source D/B according to the result. The image evaluation performed by internet is used 1,000 Images classified into four groups(structure or architecture, transportation device, natural articles and home appliance), and 300 subjects are participated. Finally, the web D/B is constructed by the result of image evaluation that is performed statistical analysis(basic statistic, factoranalysis and multi-scaled analysis).

A study on Mobile SNS Attributes Effects on Information share, Relationship formation, and User satisfaction (모바일 SNS속성이 관계형성과 정보공유를 매개로 사용자 만족도에 미치는 영향)

  • This research conducted a survey targeting mobile SNS users in order to see whether mobile SNS attribute( accessibility, usefulness, newness, connectivity) through the medium of information share and relationship formation had a positive influence on user satisfaction. The results of the analysis showed that usefulness and accessibility had a significant influence on information share, while accessibility and connectivity had a significant influence on relationship formation. Information share and relationship formation both had a significant influence on user satisfaction. Based on this research, an angle of approach different from the business transactions and information services offered in existing mobile networks is necessary when corporations provide SNS through mobiles. When considering that the most important part in the use of mobile SNS is the social component, this can be actively used for the development and marketing of SNS services. Therefore, the SNS provider must focus its efforts on finding a method to stimulate user sensibilities in order to increase customer satisfaction and draw out continuous usage.

Shopping on Fashion Vertical Platforms: The Mediating Effect of Platform Satisfaction and The Moderating Effect of Consumer Innovativeness (패션 버티컬 플랫폼 쇼핑: 플랫폼 만족의 매개효과와 소비자 혁신성의 조절효과)

  • Fashion vertical platforms offer various content and events to consumers and have established a strong customer base. Especially, they cater to the sensibilities of young customers. This study analyzed the characteristics of a sensuous fashion vertical platform, which enhances expertise and provides customized services. In addition, this study aimed to find out whether consumer innovation modulates the relationship between fashion vertical platform, platform satisfaction, and continuous shopping intention. An online survey was conducted targeting consumers in their 20s and 30s who had experience using fashion vertical platforms, and 222 samples were analyzed. Factor analysis and structural equation model were analyzed using the SPSS 29.0 and Smart-PLS. Smart-PLS analysis results showed that exclusivity, convenience and informativeness did not directly affect continuous shopping intention but showed a complete mediating effect through platform satisfaction. Both the high and low innovative groups demonstrated significant effects of exclusivity on platform satisfaction, and platform satisfaction showed significant effects on continuous shopping intention. A high level of innovation among the consumers showed significant mediating effects on exclusivity, personalization, and continuous shopping intention, as reflected by information on platform satisfaction, and low level of innovation among the consumers showed significant effect on convenience. This study's findings highlight the importance of enhancing exclusivity, convenience, informativeness, and esthetics in fashion vertical platforms, and improving platform satisfaction. These findings will be used to develop marketing strategies that can lead to continuous shopping intentions and provide opportunities for the industry.

A Fashion Design Recommender Agent System using Collaborative Filtering and Sensibilities related to Textile Design Factors (텍스타일 기반의 협력적 필터링 기술과 디자인 요소에 따른 감성 분석을 이용한 패션 디자인 추천 에이전트 시스템)

  • In the life environment changed with not only the quality and the price of the products but also the material abundance, it is the most crucial factor for the strategy of product sales to investigate consumer's sensibility and preference degree. In this perspective, it is necessary to design and merchandise the products in cope with each consumer's sensibility and needs as well as its functional aspects. In this paper, we propose the Fashion Design Recommender Agent System (FDRAS-pro) for textile design applying collaborative filtering personalization technique as one of the methods of material development centered on consumer's sensibility and preference. For a collaborative filtering system based on textile, Representative-Attribute Neighborhood is adopted to determine the number or neighbors that will be used for preferences estimation. Pearson's Correlation Coefficient is used to calculate similarity weights among users. We build a database founded on the sensibility adjectives to develop textile designs by extracting the representative sensibility adjectives from users' sensibility and preferences about textile designs. FDRAS-pro recommends textile designs to a customer who has a similar propensity about textile. To investigate the sensibility and emotion according to the effect of design factors, fertile designs were analyzed in terms of 9 design factors, such as, motif source, motif-background ratio, motif variation, motif interpretation, motif arrangement, motif articulation, hue contrast, value contrast, chroma contrast. Finally, we plan to conduct empirical applications to verify the adequacy and the validity of our system.
