  • The number of science museums in Korea has expanded quantitatively from 72 in 2008 to 128 in 2016. This study started with the fact that the government puts a lot of budget into building a science museum, but there are more than one quarter of science museums with less than 50 spectators per day and many inefficient institutions. The number of visitors is an important factor in improving the efficiency of the science museum operation. The purpose of this study is to analyze the relation between the service quality of the science museum and the customer satisfaction and the intention to revisit and to find out what kind of effort should be concentrated in the science museum to attract more visitors. Questionnaires were written in the exhibition, education, and culture fields of the Gwacheon National Science Museum. The results were derived by frequency analysis, reliability analysis, factor analysis, and multiple regression analysis. The results and contents of the study are as follows. First, in the field of exhibition, the quality of exhibition facilities was expected to affect customer satisfaction and intention to return, but did not have a meaningful relationship. Second, the education sector has been found to affect customer satisfaction and return intention in all aspects of service quality (operation and contents, instructors, educational facilities and environment). Third, in the field of culture (event), the quality of the cultural program influences the visitor satisfaction, but it does not affect the intention to revisit. The science museum can provide satisfaction to visitors by combining activities such as science and arts. Despite the limitations, it is necessary to make efforts to improve the visitor satisfaction and revisit by proceeding with the convergence research on the entire National Science Museum in the future.

  • Purpose This paper attempts to explain the recent expanding trend in Mobile Grocery Shopping(MGS). More specifically, the authors have applied the Post Acceptance Model(PAM) in order to examine the conceptual structure among the four constructs of 'Expectation Confirmation', 'Perceived Usefulness', 'User Satisfaction', and 'Continuance Intention to Use' in Mobile Grocery Shopping. Design/methodology/approach Through a survey agency, data were collected from a sample of 312 consumers who had the previous experience in Mobile Grocery Shopping. The Structural Equation Modeling(SEM) analysis was conducted with the survey data using AMOS 22.0. Subsequently, 8,200 real customer data from an open market site were collected in order to find out their revisit and repurchase behavior. Findings This study supported the causal relationships of Expectation Confirmation → Perceived Usefulness, Expectation Confirmation → User Satisfaction, Perceived Usefulness → User Satisfaction, and User Satisfaction → Continuance Intention to Use, but did not support the direct effect of Perceived Usefulness on the Continuance Intention to Use Mobile Grocery Shopping. This implies that consumers with any experience in Mobile Grocery Shopping would not consider repurchase, unless they are satisfied with the experience even though they perceive its usefulness. Also, Expectation Confirmation has much larger effect on User Satisfaction than Perceived Usefulness. In addition, the real customer data showed that the revisit and the repurchase rate of mobile grocery shoppers were higher than those of online grocery shoppers, although the rates of adding to shopping carts, coupon downloads, and adding to favorites are similar.

  • Purpose: This study examines the structural relationship between perceived quality, relationship quality, and revisit intention in the context of coffee shop. In this model, perceived quality consists of product, service, and experience quality, and relationship quality consists of satisfaction, trust, and commitment, and performance consists of revisit intention. More specially, this study identifies whether perceived quality plays a mediating role in the relationship between perceived quality and relationship quality and the direct/indirect effects of perceive quality on intention to revisit. Research design, data and methodology: The survey was conducted from September 1 to 30, 2019. The data were collected from 320 respondents and analyzed using structural equation modeling (SEM) with AMOS program. Results: The findings are as follows. First, quality perception of coffee specialty stores had a statistically positive effect on relationship quality, indicating supports H1. Therefore, customers can know that they are aware of the quality of coffee specialty stores, including quality of service and experience as well as products, and that they form relationship quality with coffee specialty stores. Second, relationship quality between coffee shops and customers had a significant positive effect on performance. Thus, H2 was supported. The results show that if the coffee shop does not consider relationship quality as important, customer loyalty decreases, the number of customers decreases, and the number of customers who switch to another coffee shop increases, which can lead to a threat to the coffee shop. Third, in the case of hypothesis H3, it was found that there was a partial mediating effect of satisfaction and trust between quality perception and reuse intention of coffee specialty stores, so hypothesis H3 was partially supported. As commitment appears to have no mediating effect, it can be said that customers who use coffee shops are not only difficult to maintain as regular customers of a particular coffee shop, but also have ample room to move to other coffee shops. Conclusions: Although many scholars point out the importance of service quality, few studies were conducted in the context of the Korean food service industry (including coffee shops). From this perspective, this study tested several hypotheses that the quality (product, service, experience) perceived by customers can have a positive effect on relationship quality and performance (re-visit intention), either directly or indirectly. The findings of this study demonstrate that if the manager of a coffee shop understands the characteristics of quality perceived by customers and the role of relationship quality, the effect of quality perceptions on customers can be maximized in order to maintain the relationship with customers.

  • This paper analyzes how the service quality affects customer satisfaction and loyalty, focusing on a franchise restaurant company 'Wonhalmoney Bossam'. The result shows that store locations and food cost of the menu, as an additional quality formation factor, influence customer satisfaction and loyalty rather than the main quality formation factors. This study strongly suggests the marketing preparation of menu price and the choice of locations are most significant as an additional factor. Therefore, Korean food restaurants should develop their marketing strategies from the customer's point of view, and reasonable price setting and menu selection with appropriate location will create customer satisfaction and revisit.

  • This paper investigates how firms increase customer acceptance of self-service technologies in retail, and the impact of self-efficacy on customer experience, satisfaction, and loyalty. We conducted our empirical research by administering 308 questionnaires to customers of self-service convenience stores in China. We employed a structural equation model to analyze the relationship between service quality, revisit intention, and word of mouth. The results indicate that perceived service quality significantly influences customer satisfaction, with the service quality of self-service retail and experience value being important factors in consumer acceptance of self-service retail stores. Additionally, we investigated the relationship between customer experience value, satisfaction, and loyalty, and found that self-service retail stores exert a significant impact on perceived self-efficacy. Informed by the research on customer acceptance of self-service technologies in retail, promoting further development of self-service retail technologies can effectively aid companies in generating profit while offering more convenience to customers.

A survey was conducted on ordinary people who had visited Korean restaurants in tourist hotels in Busan. A total of 310 copies of questionnaire were distributed to them from September 1 to 30, 2008. The SPSS/PC+ for Window 12.0 was used for data processing and analysis. As a result, it was found that selection attributes of Korean restaurant menu had an effect on customer satisfaction and revisit intention, and the most influential factors were health and menu designs. These days, people are getting more interested in keeping in shape with the Well-being trend. Such a modern trend is an important factor when selecting menu items. Therefore, when menu management is considered, health-related factors need to be considered more than anything else. In addition, various and unique menu items need to be designed to draw people's curiosity and make customers revisit.
