  • Most new products not only suddenly disappear in the market but also quickly cannibalize older products. Under such a circumstance, retailers may have too much stock, and customers may be faced with difficulties discovering products suitable to their preferences among short life cycle products. To address these problems, recommender systems are good solutions. However, most previous recommender systems had difficulty in reflecting changes in customer preferences because the systems employ static customer preferences. In this paper, we propose a recommendation methodology that considers dynamic customer preferences. The proposed methodology consists of dynamic customer profile creation, neighborhood formation, and recommendation list generation. For the experiments, we employ a mobile image transaction dataset that has a short product life cycle. Our experimental results demonstrate that the proposed methodology has a higher quality of recommendation than a typical collaborative filtering-based system. From these results, we conclude that the proposed methodology is effective under conditions where most new products have short life cycles. The proposed methodology need to be verified in the physical environment at a future time.

  • This study explores unified service experience to boost O2O services. Previous studies on service management and marketing only focused on customer experience in offline stores, while prior works on information systems looked only at the experience of services in mobile applications. In this vein, this study took into accounts the characteristics of offline stores and the benefits of their mobile applications. Moreover, the final dependent variable was share of wallet to measure customer's expenditure within the category. The theoretical model was tested based on 219 consumers who frequently visit Starbucks and use its mobile application. PLS method was applied to analysis the research model and hypotheses. The analysis results showed that customer satisfaction about offline store is not significantly related to share of wallet, while satisfaction about mobile application plays a significant role in enhancing share of wallet. Hedonic and social benefits were found to have significant effects on satisfaction about mobile application. The analysis results help establish service marketing and strategies to enhance the unified customer experience of O2O service.

  • In the past, customers utilize a secondhand book market as a major counter for their purchasing used books. With expansion of internet and IT devices, many customers would like to buy their used books in an on-line secondhand book store which has more price competitiveness and ease. Nowadays a new concept off-line secondhand book market which has the advantages of both on-line and off-line is a growing trend instead of existing secondhand book markets in the economic recession. In this study, we established customer service satisfaction for 'Aladin store', which is the advanced concept off-line secondhand book store, with the most typical service quality test technique SERVQUAL. • This study classified five types of online food subscription economy: replenishment, curation, surprise, membership, and visitation. An online survey was conducted with 314 customers who experienced 5 types of online subscription economy. This study selected the characteristics of the food subscription economy as convenience, perceived personalization, economic utility, and timeliness through previous studies. The effect of the four characteristics on perceived value (utilitarian and emotional) and the relationship between customer engagement and perceived value, which are dependent variables that have never been used in the food subscription economy, were verified through the S-O-R model. In this relationship, we demonstrated how consumers' personal tendencies, such as need for cognitive closure and self-efficacy, mediate between timeliness and perceived value related to online food delivery. The study results are as follows. Perceived personalization, convenience, and timeliness had a positive effect on the utilitarian value in the order. It also had a positive effect on emotional values in the order of perceived personalization and timeliness. On the other hand, economic utility had no significant effect on practical branches. Customer engagement had a positive effect in the order of emotional value and utilitarian value. The lower the need for cognitive closure the more positive the utilitarian value. The lower the self-efficacy, the more positive the emotional value was perceived. Through the above study, companies that want to operate or start an online food subscription economy need a strategic approach rather than unreasonable price discounts in pricing policy. In addition, it is necessary to focus on marketing activities that provide emotional value by focusing on perceived personalization, which is the satisfaction factor of online food subscription.

  • This paper analyzes the problem of the economic order quantity (lot size) of a retailer in a two-stage supply chain consisting of a supplier, a retailer(distributor), and a customer. In this two-stage supply chain, the supplier permits the retailer to defer payment for a certain fixed period of time for the purchase cost to be paid by the retailer as a price differentiation strategy with his competitor. In addition, in the case of customer goods such as food and grain, it is common to see that end-customer demand is generally depend on the level of inventory displayed by the retailer. From this perspective, this paper analyzes the inventory problem of retailers under the assumption that the supplier may allow a certain period to suspend payments for the purchase of goods and the end customer demand is a function of the retailer's inventory level increasing with size. In this regard, we need to analyze how much the length of the grace period for product purchase costs affect the retailer's lot-sizing policy. Therefore, we formulate the retailer's annual net profit and analyze the effect of the length of credit period on the retailer's inventory policy numerically.

Sensitivity analysis of RPLS inventory model with price dependent demand linearly under order-size-dependent delay in payments in a two-stage supply chain (주문량에 따라 종속적으로 외상거래기간이 허용되는 상황 하에 선형수요함수를 고려한 RPLS 재고모형의 퇴화율에 따른 민감도분석)

  • Credit transactions are used as a means of price discrimination from competitors in order for suppliers to increase customer demand. In particular, in the case of a two-stage supply chain consisting of a supplier, a retailer, and a customer, the deferral of payment for goods allowed by the supplier is a means of reducing the inventory investment cost of the retailer. Retailers have the opportunity to discount the selling price while anticipating an increase in end-customer demand through the reduction of the inventory investment cost. In view of the fact that such trade credit is provided for the purpose of increasing demand as a means of discrimination from competitors, it may be more general that the credit transaction period is allowed flexibly according to the transaction volume. In particular, in the case of deteriorating products, the credit transaction period given according to the order volume is a factor that increases the order volume of the retailer, but product deterioration can be a limiting factor in the increase in the order volume. The deterioration rate actually plays an important role in determining the inventory policy of the retailer. Therefore, in this paper, the effect of such deterioration rate on the inventory policy of retailer is analyzed.

By identifying the characteristic factors that affect the customer satisfaction of the un-tacted(Zzero Ccontact) visitors, which are expanding due to COVID-19, and studying the effect of controlling the innovation resistance, this study provides a basis for knowing what un-tacted(Zzero Ccontact) visitors need and what services they want to receive, and it presents practical implications and provides basic data for relevant research.
