A Study on the eWOM and Selecting Movie According to Online Media and Replies (온라인 매체와 댓글에 따른 영화 구전의도 및 관람의도에 관한 연구)

  • A great number of customers, who want to watch movies usually check out online reviews before choosing what to watch a movie. The most representative online media that customers consult are portal sites and SNS (Social Network Service). Although there have been numerous studies on online eWOM (e-Word of Mouth) and the effects of online media in businesses, it remains a question that which media is best for WOM (Word of Mouth) when selecting movies. This research examines customer's intention for consulting eWOM and for watching movies according to the number and tendency of online replies. We have compared portal sites and SNS about information of movie. The study shows that a large number of positive replies can affect the intention for WOM and choosing movies. Facebook has more influence than portal sites when choosing what to watch when replies consist of large and positive comments. However, there is no difference between the two types of media when they consist of negative comments.

  • As the broadband network are being deployed recently, the IPTV (Internet Protocol TV) has appeared and become a most representative service that incorporates audio, video, etc. In spite of the long-period efforts, however, no standardized method exists to measure and evaluate the quality of video that is experienced through TV in the customer's premises. Therefore, before developing a method to measure and evaluate the quality of experience (QoE) for video that is the ultimate goal, this paper reviews the outcomes from the past standardization activities and drive a few important implications that would be reflected to the method to measure and evaluate QoE for video.

  • This paper identifies current status and key determinants of participation in multimedia UCC as a web2.0 paradigm. Significant factors composed of IT digital convergence environments and young generation's value, attitude to connecting to web (human relation, visual expressionism, arousal, et al). This paper analyze multimedia UCC service status & current status of participation level of UCC users. The research implemented to analysis customer click streaming data (inter-temporary page-view, unique user)of small-mid multimedia UCC Company and to 2nd data(ww.rankey.com) for page-view and unique user to participation tendency by age and sex about total participation amount of multimedia UCC. In case of young generation be familiar with new internet service, Internet web space meaning important information seeking media and 1 person media able to connect to new web network as prosumer. In UCC centered internet business, web based customers implemented the role of prosumer as generate web contents and consuming to net-working.

Gender and Age Differences in Triple Media Usage Related to Outdoor Apparel Purchases

  • This study defines the concept of triple media and examines various marketing media that influence a consumer's purchase of outdoor fashion brands. We explore the effects of gender and age on information searches related to outdoor fashion brands and purchase criteria related to outdoor clothing. A survey of consumers who visited stores was conducted. We targeted consumers between the ages of 15 and 50 and analyzed 764 questionnaires. The results show that triple media involve eight factors: five factors (printed ads or radio ads, campaign ads, Internet ads, TV ads, and store ads) in paid media, one factor (direct marketing) in owned media, and two factors (channels of social network services, channels of direct promotion) in earned media. Further, the evaluation/appraisal criteria of outdoor clothing consist of four attributes (practicality, promotional activities, product power, and customer service). The teenager group showed significantly low usage of campaign ads, direct marketing, and direct promotion, while the use of Internet ads is particularly high among teenagers compared to other age groups. Moreover, teenagers are least likely to rely on practicality when evaluating clothing and are most likely to value product power. Additionally, women show significantly high usage of direct marketing. In terms of the clothing appraisal criteria, women assign higher value to practicality and promotional factors than men. The theoretical and managerial implications of the findings are discussed.

  • ATM over xDSL으로 구성된 광대역 가입자 망을 통하여, ATM 망에 접속하려 할 때에는 DSL 접근 다중화기(Access Multiplexer)가 필수적으로 요구된다. 이 때 광대역 통합 서비스라는 가입자 망의 기본적인 목적을 달성하기 위하여, DSL 접근 다중화기는 ATM 계층에서의 트래픽 제어를 수행할 수 있어야 한다. 이에 본 논문에서는 DSL 접근 다중화기에서의 트래픽 제어에 필요한 효율적이고 간단한 셀 스케쥴링 기법을 제안한다. 성능평가를 위한 모의실험에 의하면, 제안된 기법은 각 연결들에게 그들의 트래픽 기술자에 부합하는 서비스를 제공할 수 있으며, 아울러 연결들이 명세한 셀 손실률에 근거하여 차별화 된 서비스 품질(QoS)을 제공할 수 있다.Abstract When residential users access core network via ATM over xDSL, DSL Access Multiplexer(DSLAM) which processes ATM cells transmitted from customer premises, is indispensable. In order to fulfill original goal of residential broadband integrated service, DSLAM should be able to perform ATM layer traffic management, mainly QoS(Quality of Service) provision. In this paper, we propose an efficient and simple cell scheduling scheme applicable to access multiplexer such as DSLAM. According to simulations for performance evaluation, the proposed cell scheduling scheme is able to supply bandwidths conforming to traffic descriptors of the connections. Moreover it is verified that the proposed scheme has a CLR based connection discrimination capability.

  • The healthcare business is growing as a global core business because of the phenomenon of global aging, as well as in South Korea, skyrocketing health care costs accordingly, and changing the paradigm from treatment to the prevention-centered medical service. Especially, as the digital healthcare service stands out as a solution, major countries actively promote and support policies at the government level. Thus, this study will present attributes of a market-oriented service that would vitalize the digital healthcare service industry by investigating major attributes of the digital healthcare service. To analyze the relationships of the influences of attributes, this study used Interpretive Structural Modeling. As a result of literature research and ISM, this study can understand the eight basic attributes of the digital healthcare service (network scalability, context awareness, connection among information platforms, cost, trust, security, ease of use, usefulness) and analyze the relationships of the influences among the attributes. In addition, as this study finds some significant differences in Order Winner and Order Qualifier between the experts' group (security) and the users' group (trust, ease of use, usefulness), It provides meaningful implications for revitalization and promotion of digital healthcare service industry.

Quality Design Support System based on Data Mining Approach (데이터 마이닝 기반의 품질설계지원시스템)

  • Quality design in practice highly depends on human designer's intuition and past experiences due to lack of formal knowledge about the relationship among 10 variables. This paper represents an data mining approach for developing quality design support system that integrates Case Based Reasoning (CBR) and Artificial Neural Networks (ANN) to effectively support all the steps in quality design process. CBR stores design cases in a systematic way and retrieve them quickly and accurately. ANN predicts the resulting quality attributes of design alternatives that are generated from CBR's adaptation process. When the predicted attributes fail to meet the target values, quality design simulation starts to further adapt the alternatives to the customer's new orders. To implement the quality design simulation, this paper suggests (1) the data screening method based on ξ-$\delta$ Ball to obtain the robust ANN models from the large production data bases, (2) the procedure of quality design simulation using ANN and (3) model management system that helps users find the appropriate one from the ANN model base. The integration of CBR and ANN provides quality design engineers the way that produces consistent and reliable design solutions in the remarkably reduced time.

  • This study aims to provide marketing strategies for the public libraries in Korea. For this purpose, this study focused on four public libraries in New York, USA, which have been providing the most excellent library services on the world. And this study examined what efforts these libraries have been making for the development of community and information needs of customers. The data for this study were collected by literature review, participant observation at the public libraries in New York, and gathering law materials. And in-depth interviews with the librarians and related professionals in New York and Korea were also proceeded. As a result, this study suggested marketing strategies for the management of public libraries in Korea.

  • This research conducted a survey targeting mobile SNS users in order to see whether mobile SNS attribute( accessibility, usefulness, newness, connectivity) through the medium of information share and relationship formation had a positive influence on user satisfaction. The results of the analysis showed that usefulness and accessibility had a significant influence on information share, while accessibility and connectivity had a significant influence on relationship formation. Information share and relationship formation both had a significant influence on user satisfaction. Based on this research, an angle of approach different from the business transactions and information services offered in existing mobile networks is necessary when corporations provide SNS through mobiles. When considering that the most important part in the use of mobile SNS is the social component, this can be actively used for the development and marketing of SNS services. Therefore, the SNS provider must focus its efforts on finding a method to stimulate user sensibilities in order to increase customer satisfaction and draw out continuous usage.

  • The purpose of this study provides the theoretical model for protecting the economic and social loss from the current alternative fuel vehicle which is developed without compatibility and senseless one's own through verifying the statistical significant by method of measuring analysis. The market scale of alternative fuel vehicle depends on customer's and station's expectation about the number of potential vehicle users. It is very difficult for vehicle manufacturer to make a decision on the standard alternative fuel vehicle as it might reduce profit and market share. Accordingly, the development of alternative fuel vehicle should have manufacturer confident on the potential profit in the future. Moreover, if we decide to use the non-standard fuel after we started to use the standard fuel, it would take a huge cost comparing with starting to use the standard fuel only. As a result, once one of companies starts to provide the non-standard fuel service, it is getting more difficult to use the standard fuel going forward. Consequently, we may review the possibility of choice on the standard fuel before the vehicle manufacturer starts service with non-standard fuel.
