Using the MCDM of the Innovative Product Value Chain to Promote New Product Design

  • Purpose - In the past, designs for traditional products have usually focused on historic techniques. However, this tradition of using historic techniques has now been replaced by the trend of using the innovative design concept. Research design, data, and methodology - To measure future market trends and quality requirements, we apply the results of the questionnaires and analyze them with various experimental processes and a design methodology. In this way, we gauge the impact of the innovative product value chain on the promotion of new products. Results - Accompanied with an innovative product value chain, the product can stimulate the development of enterprise management, which has become the main issue in social and economic development in every developed country, and can facilitate the progress of enterprise management throughout the enterprise. Conclusions - Customer demand should be emphasized as the primary means to solve design problems, to design optimal solutions, to create differentiation with competitors, and to pursue optimal marketing strategies.

Application of Variable Neighborhood Search Algorithms to a Static Repositioning Problem in Public Bike-Sharing Systems (공공 자전거 정적 재배치에의 VNS 알고리즘 적용)

  • Static repositioning is a well-known and commonly used strategy to maximize customer satisfaction in public bike-sharing systems. Repositioning is performed by trucks at night when no customers are in the system. In models that represent the static repositioning problem, the decision variables are truck routes and the number of bikes to pick up and deliver at each rental station. To simplify the problem, the decision on the number of bikes to pick up and deliver is implicitly included in the truck routes. Two relocation-based local search algorithms (1-relocate and 2-relocate) with the best-accept strategy are incorporated into a variable neighborhood search (VNS) to obtain high-quality solutions for the problem. The performances of the VNS algorithm with the effect of local search algorithms and shaking strength are evaluated with data on Tashu public bike-sharing system operating in Daejeon, Korea. Experiments show that VNS based on the sequential execution of two local search algorithms generates good, reliable solutions.

  • The Robust Design method uses a mathematical tool called orthogonal arrays to study a large number of decision variables with a small number of experiments. It also uses a new measure of quality, called signal-to-noise (S/N) ratio, to predict the quality from the customer's perspective. Thus, the most economical product and process design from both manufacturing and customers' viewpoints can be accomplished at the smallest, affordable development cost. Many companies, big and small, high-tech and low-tech, have found the Robust Design method valuable in making high-quality products available to customers at a low competitive price while still maintaining an acceptable profit margin. A study to analyze and solve problems of a biochemical process experiment has presented in this paper. We have taken Taguchi's parameter design approach, specifically orthogonal array, and determined the optimal levels of the selected variables through analysis of the experimental results using S/N ratio.

  • We present an autonomous distributed manufacturing system to plan the manufacturing process and the schedule based on a customer order, which considers the system efficiency as well as to the flexibly. In our system, an intermediate conceptual agent called process agent is introduced, of which the role is to create a plausible alternative for the working group to fulfill the given order. The process related decision such as process sequence, allocated facilities, schedule and cost is also made simultaneously. Given an order, several these process agents are created, and the optimum on is selected through a bidding mechanism. As a criterion of such a decision-making, we consider a concept of value which is determined by several factors such as cost, delivery, working ratio and so forth. Every agent consisting of the system makes decisions and actions so as to maximize its possessing value, and the overall behavior of the system is controlled by the value distribution.

  • Recently, the strategy of the age of limitless competition for existence of manufacturing company appears for the enhancement of productivity through the automatic system, the reduction for the cost for standardization and the decision making process for the information system. Especially the critical success factors in manufacturing company can be summarized for the establishment of production visibility through the production management, material & work-in-process management, the establish of the flexible manufacturing system for the changed order priority and the establish of the quality system for improvement of product and process quality. The existing production management systems supply only simple information about production results on real time, can delay quick decision making. And it can prevent acquiring the information about various customer needs and the communication problems with other systems. In this paper, it will show MES system, a solution for the problems of existing production management systems. And through a case study of D company, it will reveal improvement effect on shipment error using MES system and economic analysis for MES itself.

  • During last ten years, logistics network management has become one of the most important sources of competitive advantage regarding logistics cost and customer service in numerous business segments. The key to success in this dynamic and severe business environment is the ability to design and plan the logistics network optimally in an integrated way. Network design and planning involves many issues relating to strategic, tactical, and operational decisions. To assist a logistics designer or planner, many computer-based decision support systems (DSS) have been developed. In this paper, the issues related to design, development, and implementation of the DSS for logistics network design and planning are discussed, and an ideal framework of the DSS is proposed with some ideas on the future development. Finally, DLNET, the DSS developed by author, is briefly introduced.

  • Many corporations will get much mote benefits if they investigate the model deciding to purchasing mobile phone in that cell phone of our country has about 20% of market share in the world market. Considering this situation to divide cell phone market between CDMA and GSM in world market, it is not easy to make cell phone to satisfy the suitable method which each country wants. Through this study, we anticipate that it will offer the measuring method about consumer purchasing decision of each country. The research is to study how it is Effected by any factor when comsumer selects product and make research model. Based on the research model, we is to make a question. The research Is to complete the theoretical system on the basis of records about the cell phone and to study the improvement strategic using AHP and Conjoint Analysis which analyzes the consuming trend to customer's cell phone.

  • Logistics security has been enhanced to control cargo containers effectively and safely in global logistics. In response to the change, This study describes the system now being developed that tracks container position, watches cargo security status and gets informations of surrounding until the cargos arrived at its destination. We examine completion and satisfaction of the product for prospective users. For this, considering earlier studies about customer trust, satisfaction, service quality and purchase decision, we analyse an effect among the variables empirically. As a result, when the program is released, we examine customers' satisfaction and purchase decision for the informations to be offered from the program.

  • Considering the growth of blockchain technology, the research aims to transform the efficiency of recommending optimal coffee suppliers within the complex supply chain network. This transformation relies on the extraction of vital transactional data and insights from stakeholders, facilitated by the dynamic interaction between the application interface (e.g., Rest API) and the blockchain network. These extracted data are then subjected to advanced data processing techniques and harnessed through machine learning methodologies to establish a robust recommendation system. This innovative approach seeks to empower users with informed decision-making abilities, thereby enhancing operational efficiency in identifying the most suitable coffee supplier for each customer. Furthermore, the research employs data visualization techniques to illustrate intricate clustering patterns generated by the K-Means algorithm, providing a visual dimension to the study's evaluation.

  • Holonic manufacturing systems have been recently presented to meet the various needs of customer rapidly. Holonic manufacturing systems consist of several holons which may perform decision making for the achievement of their objectives. Holonic manufacturing systems are characterized by cooperation and negotiation among holons. The problem of conflict can be occurred during communication between holons. Then the negotiation is required for the holons. This paper deals with a mathematical model for the mediation of negotiation between holons in the holonic manufacturing systems. In this paper an evaluation function for mediation is modeled using the utility function.
