제7차 교육과정 개편에 따라 고등학교 수학교과 구성에 있어, 확률 통계관련 내용이 과거에 비하여 양적으로 많이 증대되었다. 따라서 내용적인 측면에서도 확률 통계관련 각 영역이 단원 목표를 제대로 달성될 수 있도록 구성된다면, 정보화 사회에 요구되는 보다 효율적인 통계교육이 이루어질 수 있을 것이다. 이에 본 논문에서는 고등학교 수학교과 중 확률 통계관련 내용이 단원의 학습목표를 달성할 수 있도록 구성되어 있는지를, 제7차 고등학교 수학 교육과정 해설서에 제시된 중심용어와 기호를 중심으로 '연결망분석(network analysis)'을 활용하여 알아보았다. 그 결과 확률변수를 매개로 확률분포에 대한 개념과 통계적 추정에 대한 개념을 연결하는 서술구조는 통계적인 측면에서 매우 잘 표현되어 있으나, '전수조사'와 '표본조사'는 여타의 항목과 연결되지 않는 등, 일부에 있어서는 기술상에 문제점을 내포하고 있는 것으로 나타났다.

본 연구에서는 향후 H/W 교과과정에서 효과적인 확률 및 통계 교육 방안을 제시하기 위한 목적으로, 첫째 H/W 교과과정에서 전공 선수교과목으로서 확률 및 통계 교과목의 필요성 인식을 전공교과목과의 관련성을 통해 파악하였다. 둘째, 확률 및 통계와 관련된 H/W 전공교과목들은 연계하여 교수-학습을 병행하면 H/W 전공교과목에 대한 이해도를 향상시킬 수 있으므로, 실제 교육현장 적용을 통해 확률 및 통계를 연계한 H/W 교과목의 연구 및 개발과 그에 따른 교육효과를 분석하였다. 또한 본 연구에서는 설문조사와 교육사례를 실시하여 통계적으로 분석하고 H/W 교과과정에서 확률 및 통계의 연계성을 통한 바람직한 교육의 한 방법을 제시하였다.

본 연구는 2009개정 교육과정과 2015개정 교육과정을 반영한 교과서에서 연속확률분포를 정의하고 도입하는 방법에 대해 비교 분석하였다. 2015개정 교육과정을 반영한 확률과 통계 교과서는 연속확률변수를 가부번집합인 확률변수로 정의하기보다는 특정 범위의 모든 실숫값을 가지는 확률변수로 정의하였다. 또한 연속확률분포를 도입함에 있어 균등분포를 이용한 방법과 상대도수밀도를 이용한 방법을 사용하였다.

Because statistical concepts are important parts in school mathematics, mathematics teachers have trained by special education model. In this study, a desirable direction of curriculum on probability and statistics at pre-service for mathematics teacher is considered. We proposed four subjects as Exploration and Analysis of Data for Mathematics Teacher, Probability and Statistics I, II for Mathematics Teacher and Statistical Software for Mathematics, and suggested the constituents and something being kept in mind for each subject.

With advancement of computer and network, world wide web(WWW) as a medium of information communication is generalized in many fields. In educational aspect, applications of WWW as alternative media for class teachings or printed matters are increasing. In this article, we demonstrate a web-based electronic text on the 'probability and statistics' which is one of six fields of mathematics in the 7th curriculum. This text places importance on comprehension of concepts of probability and statistics as an applied science.

A partial amendment of probability and statistics education in Korea has carried out from January, 2007. We have compared between the patial amendment and 7th national mathematics curriculum. Some ideas are proposed to achieve goals of the revision; textbooks of mathematics are well supervised by well-trained statisticians and teachers are periodically trained for the statistical knowledge.

교육과학기술부는 2011년 8월 9일에 '초 중등학교 교육과정 총론'을 개정 고시하였다. 개정 고시된 교육과정의 특징은 학습자 중심의 효율적인 학습과 학습부담의 적정화를 고려하여 학년군, 교과군, 집중이수제, 학기당 이수과목 축소, 학교의 자율성 확대 등을 도입하고, 공통교육과정을 초1부터 중3까지 9년으로 축소하고, 고등학교는 선택교육과정으로 편성하였다. 이와 관련하여 수학교과에 속해 있는 확률과 통계의 교육과정에 대한 주요 변화 내용을 알아본다. 또한 이와 연관하여 대학의 확률과 통계에 대한 교육을 논의하고자 한다.

Probability and statistics is an important section in mathematics which is deeply related to everyday living, natural science and social science. In spite of its importance, many students will throw away it because it becomes very harder as its step(stage) deepens and probability and statistics' relative importance is very small in Korea-SAT(the test of college entrance in Korea). Therefore, by analyzing the involvement carefully between the curriculum in the elementary, middle, high school and the text book, by studying the problem and improvement direction, it is necessary to investigate an effective teaching method. This study intends to give the students the confidence, interests, and accomplishment motive about probability and statistics field and to make a rational and creative decision-making through mathematical speculation by proposing an effective teaching method through analyzing an existing facts in school's probability and statistics field. The contents of this study are composed of four chapters. Chapter three looks into the mathematical curriculum in the elementary, middle, high school and its teaching meaning, the outline of contents, some tips on teaching and problems and presents an effective and concrete teaching method on the basis of the theoretical background in the chapter two. Chapter four is a conclusive part and gives the general improvement and intentional direction in educating the probability and statistics.

In this thesis, we conduct a comprehensive analysis of the current situation and the inherent problems found in modern statistics education in Korea. We investigate the American probability and statistics curriculum currently used in Wisconsin and discuss the overall state of statistics education in The United States. Through comparison of both the Korean and Wisconsin model, we explore the future direction of statistical education.

우리나라 초${\cdot}$중${\cdot}$고등학교 확률 및 통계영역 교육은 1997년 교육 인적 자원부 고시로 제 7차 수학과 교육과정이 개정되어 현재 초${\cdot}$중${\cdot}$고등학교 현장에서 시행되고 있다. 교과서 전수 조사를 통하여 제 7차 수학과 교육과정에 따른 실용수학 및 수학 I 확률 및 통계단원을 분석하였고 제 6차 수학과 교육과정과 비교, 검토하였다.
