경영정보 관련 학과의 교육과정 설계와 운영 방안: K대학 e-비즈니스학과 사례를 중심으로 (A Study on Design and Operation of MIS Oriented Curriculum)

  • Purpose To meet changing social demands and fulfill the needs of the information and communications technology industry, the curriculum of MIS related department should develop and implement new conceptual frameworks. In response, the purpose of this study was to develop curriculum for students in the Department of e-Business at Kyungnam University. Design/methodology/approach We conducted a demands analysis of educational demanders, NCS(National Competency Standards) based curricular analysis, and benchmarking from other management information systems related departments. The expert panel committee consisting of e-Business department faculty members was held to examine and discuss the student-oriented curriculum developed during this study. Findings Results show that the contents and types of curriculum should be organized so that students can maximize their professional job competency to apply to their core professional tasks. Given these findings, we reconstructed the curriculum with both basic and advanced courses, all systematically organized according to the job requirements they offer toward meeting the industry's needs. We also implemented the web-based JSSS(Job Searching Support System) with which educational demanders can search among 13 job types, estimate their performances, and obtain the information about course registration. In all this study presents specific, practical evidence of the job-related curriculum for students in the Department of e-Business at Kyungnam University.

기혼 여성들이 지각하는 고등학교 가정교과 교육과정의 유용성과 활용성 (Housewives' Recognition of Usefulness and Application of Home Economics Curriculum Educated in High School)

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the usefulness and application of home economics curriculum to housewives. For this research, a survey was conducted using questionnaires against 427 housewives living in Seoul, Gyeonggi-do, and other provinces. The data analysis of this study was verified by frequency, mean, t-test, and Cronbach's ${\alpha}$ coefficient by using SPSS 12.0 program. The conclusions of this study are as follows. First, more than 88% of the housewives recognize that home economics curriculum is necessary. Second, as for the areas of the usefulness and application of home economics curriculum, housewives recognize the "family and child" area was most useful, followed by "food, nutrition & cookery", "consumer and family financial management", "housing and residential interior design", and "clothing care, apparel design and making" areas. Third, the better perceive the housewives think of the home economics curriculum, the higher is the appreciation of the curriculum. Based on this research, home economics curriculum was proved very important and necessary in everyday life for housewives.

숙의를 통한 비판과학 관점의 통합 지향적 가정교과 교육과정 개발 (Integrative Home Economics Curriculum Development from a Critical Science Perspective through Deliberation)

  • This study developed an integrative curriculum design plan for Home Economics through a deliberation method. This study established a research framework to integrate the deliberation models of Schwab, Walker, and Reid that inherited the intellectual tradition of curriculum deliberation along with the practical reasoning process of Brown and Paolucci from a critical science perspective. The practical research problem was formulated as "What should be done to develop a Home Economics integrative curriculum?" To address this practical research problem, deliberation with deliberators of each small, medium, and large groups was processed for the development of integrative curriculum design plans. An initial proposal was developed from small group deliberation processes. An initial proposal was examined and an alternative plan was developed from medium group deliberation processes. An alternative plan and its consequence were re-examined from large group deliberation processes. The authors finalized a proposal organized on four valued ends of self-formation, intersubjectivity, social action, and life skills. A practical problem focused integrative curriculum was developed and proposed to pursue the four valued ends. The suggested final practical problem focused curriculum demonstrates the power of Home Economics to contribute to the advancement of individuals, families, and society as well as the practical empowerment of students.

21세기 한국실내디자인교육의 문제점 및 방향에 관한 연구 (Issues and Problems of Interior Design Education in Korea for the 21st C.)

  • The purpose of this study is to discuss the issues and problems of interior design education in Korea and to further present guidelines for curriculum development and research on interior design education in Korea for the 21st Century. Content analysis and scholastic inquiry from various sources were used to examine the issues concerning 1) professional identity, 2) curriculum structure, and 3) creative scholarship including interdisciplinary approach. Identification of these issues presented in this study will allow interior design educators to help prepare interior design students who are qualified to lead the profession in the future.

주거학 교과과정의 모형개발에 관한 연구 (A Study on Model Curriculum Development in Housing)

  • The purpose of this research is twofold : 1) to establish an area of housing study through the analysis of the curriculum of housing within home economics units, and 2) to develop a model of the curriculum based on the area of housing defined. The data used for this research are the curricula of departments which offer housing courses within home economics units in Korea, Japan, and U.S.A: Based on the results of analysis, a field of housing studies is divided into four different areas : a housing-planning, socio-cultural aspects of housing, interior design, and general housing, research, and internships. A model curriculum is proposed based on the four different area of housing studies. The housing programs in Japan and U.S.A. are designed to prepare students for professional careers. In Korea, there is a strong demand for planning, designing, and managing housing and interior design to satisfy social needs. Therefore, our curriculum should be revised to expand graduates' job opportunities.

스크래치를 이용한 초등학교 컴퓨터 교육과정 설계 (Design of Computer Education Curriculum for Elementary Schools using Scratch Educational Programming Language)

  • 프로그래밍 교육은 문제 해결 능력과 논리적 사고력 향상에 긍정적인 영향을 끼친다. 하지만 초등학교에서의 프로그래밍 교육은 아직 활성화되고 있지 않다. 그 원인 가운데 하나는 체계적인 교육과정의 부재이다. 본 논문에서는 교육용 프로그래밍 언어인 스크래치를 사용하여 초 중등학교 정보통신기술 교육 운영지침 개정안의 '정보처리의 이해' 영역의 교육과정을 설계하였다. 학습자의 인지부담을 최소화하기 위하여 1~2학년은 4차시, 3~4학년은 5차시, 5~6학년은 6차시 분량으로 교수 학습 지도안을 작성하여 제시했다. 전문가 집단을 선정하여 제시한 교육과정과 교수 학습 지도안을 검증하였다. 검증 결과 학습 대상, 교육요소, 학습내용, 학습량, 교수학습지도안의 적정성 등 거의 모든 영역에서 적절하다는 결론을 얻었다. 본 논문에서 설계한 교육과정을 실제 수업에 적용한다면 초등학교 프로그래밍 교육을 효율적으로 수행할 수 있을 것이며, 더 나아가 초등학생들의 논리적 사고력, 문제해결력, 창의력, 정보처리능력 등을 신장시킬 수 있을 것이다.

교육과정을 고려한 초등학교 조경계획을 위한 조경 수종과 식재빈도에 관한 기초적 연구 (A basic Study on the species of plants and its frequency for the Landscaping in Elementary School in relation to the school curriculum)

  • School Landscape Planning in Korea recently due to the implementation of green building certification system as a whole outside of the school environment and create eco-friendly, but not has not been linked with the curriculum. The purpose of this study is linked to the curriculum that can be used actively in learning activities is to landscape the school. Considering curriculum for elementary landscape plan provides direction results of this study can be summarized as follows: First, the elementary school years in Chapter 3, the type and number of species of plants and animals that appear in the textbooks examined the results of the analysis that appears to know what plants and animals were the most common. Second, seven schools in Gyeonggi Province in Chapter 4 investigated the status of the landscape. The current landscape of the school curriculum, whether in agreement with the results of this comparison indicate that much of a difference could be seen. Therefore, future elementary landscape plan in accordance with the finality of education curriculum will be developed to fit.

디지털 시대적 흐름에 따른 온라인 디자인 수업의 교육과정 개선방향 제안 (Proposal for an improvement direction of curriculum of online design class in accordance with the stream of digital times)

  • 2001년 국내 사이버대학의 출범과 함께 시작된 온라인 디자인 교육은 현재까지 다양한 과목의 온라인 수업이 개발되어 운영되고 있으며 디지털기술의 발전 및 사이버대학 성장과 함께 원격교육 개념이 점차 보편화되면서 앞으로도 양적, 질적 확장이 계속될 전망이다. 하지만 이와 같은 양적 성장과 발전가능성에도 불구하고 현재 온라인 디자인 수업은 디지털 시대적 흐름에 따라 디자인과 디자이너의 개념 및 역할이 바뀌어 가고 있는 상황에도 여전히 기존 오프라인 대학 디자인학과와 크게 다르지 않은 교육과정을 운영하고 있는 실정이다. 또한 온라인 디자인 교육은 디지털기술과 콘텐츠 그리고 디자인이 합쳐진 형태로 디지털 기술 트렌드에 따라 영향을 받는 등 복합적인 요인들을 고려해야 하며 사이버 교육이니 만큼 온라인의 장점 및 특성을 최대한 반영하여 진행해야 함에도 현실은 여러 여건상 그렇지 못하고 있다. 디지털 시대의 흐름에 따라 이제 온라인 디자인 교육도 변해야 하고 향후 미래 디지털 시대 흐름과 온라인 환경에 적합한 새로운 온라인 디자인 교육과정의 개발 및 준비가 필요한 시점이다. 이에 본 연구에서는 기존 문헌 연구를 통해 디지털 시대의 흐름에 따라 변화하는 디자인과 디자이너의 개념 및 역할과 온라인 수업의 특징에 대하여 살펴본 후 국내 사이버대학 디지털디자인 관련학과 교육과정 현황 분석을 통해 향후 디지털시대에 적합한 온라인 디자인 수업 교육과정의 개선방향에 대해 제안하고자 한다.

Service-Learning Projects with Local Non-Profit Organizations Integrated into a Visual Design Class

  • The growing significance of corporate social responsibility in the fashion industry has shed light on the importance of preparing fashion students to become socially responsible professionals. In spite of numerous benefits of service-learning, the teaching/learning method has been rarely employed in the fashion design and merchandising context. Therefore, the purpose of the study was first, to examine the concept and models of service-learning and compare different types of service-learning programs, and second, to discuss service-learning projects that were adopted in a visual design class as examples that service-learning can be effectively integrated into the fashion design and merchandising curriculum. This study provides the opportunity to share successful service-learning implementation with other educators to help with effective incorporation of the pedagogical program into the curriculum.
