Flowability and strength with curing time of controlled low-strength material (CLSM) are required differently according to the construction purpose. In this paper, the flowability and strength were estimated from the mixing ratio of CLSM using multiple regression analysis to design the CLSM. The flow values and strength at 12 hrs and 7days were measured in accordance with the mixing ratio of CLSM which consists of 7 different materials, such as CSA expansive agent, ordinary Portland cement, fly ash, sand, silt, water, and accelerator. The multiple regression was performed with the proportions of each material of CLSM as independent variables and the measured properties as dependent variables using SPSS Statistics 23 which is a statistical analysis program. The regression coefficients were estimated from the first to third order equation models for the materials. From the results, the third order model for the flow values and the first order models for 12hrs and 7days strength are the most appropriate models. This study suggests that the mixing ratio required for constructions may be effectively estimated from the regression models about the characteristics of CLSM, before performing experimental tests.
Long Fiber-reinforced composites have advantages of excellent production efficiency and formability of complex shapes compared to conventional continuous fiber reinforced composite materials. However, if we need to make complicated composite shapes or to assemble parts made of different materials, a variety of joining methods are needed. In general, long fiber prepreg sheet (LFPS) contains mold release agent to facilitate demolding after thermoforming. Therefore, mechanical fastening is required in addition to the adhesive bonding to get proper joining strength. In this study, we proposed a stainless steel insert for co-cure bonding which cures LFPS and bonds the stainless steel insert through thermoforming process. The wing of the insert which is spread during the thermoforming process induces adhesion and mechanical wedging effect and serves as a hook to resist the pulling force. The burn-out method was used to confirm the unfolded state of the stainless steel insert wings inserted into the composite material. The static pull-out test was performed to quantitatively evaluate the joining strength. From these experimental results, the condition which guarantees the most appropriate joining strength was derived.

In this study, biological treatment process of MWWT(Municipal wet-waste Treatment) has been developed through a moduling of the containerized closed ATAD(Auto thermal aerobic digestion) system & closed vertical dynamic acerator, which were used for food waste and cattle manure, respectively. Though biological process has several advantages such as low concentrations of heavy metals and salts, proper and stable C/N ratio and constant reaction rate against the process treating two wastes separately, it has a obstacles of salt concentration and much usage of bulking agent such as wood chip. After rapid oxidation in the boxed tower reactor for 5 days, the content of sewage sludge would be reduced 65% on around, might be mixed with the food waste that had been treated in the static closed reactor during 6 days and put in the secondary static reactor for curing. During composting process, the odor contained in the gas generated from the reactor was removed by passing it through a biofilter as well as the leachate was treated in the wastewater treatment facility. Consequently, it seemed to be possible to compost sewage sludge at mild and stable operating condition and at low cost through the biological ATAD process resulting in the production of organic compost satisfying the specifications regulated by itself.

To investigate the availability of solidified wastes as resource, wastewater sludge, waste gypsum and fly ash were mixed and the results with various mixing ratios are as follows. Compressive strength turned out to be increasing as the amount of waste gypsum increases, keeps longer curing inhibition, and higher forming Pressure under the conditions of waste gypsum/sludge ratio 0.31-0.45, and 0.9kg cement as 15% and 1.2kg cement as 20% of total amount. Solidified agent under the fly ash/sludge ratio 0.45, 0.6, compressive strength seemed to be higher than standard one which means solidified wastes with these conditions could be applicable in real life. These results inform that concentrations of the leachate $Cr^{+6}$, Cu, Zn, Cd, Pb solidified matrix, containing low concentration of heavy metal, were cured with/without enough time it still will cause adverse effect on nature environment and application of heavy metal sequester must be needed to reuse industrial wastes from incineration plant solidified matrix. Total cost price, when considering manufacturing capability of the facilities for resourcerizing as 18,000ton was presented 678,664,000 won, as it were, manufacturing cost price was 37,704 won per ton. The results as above has shown that it's possible to use the mixture of waste gypsum/sludge, fly ash/sludge, cement, additions, and solidification matter as substitute of materials like brick, block, interlocking which has proper compressive strength of KS L 5201 and KS F 4004.

In this work, a series of molar ratios composed with YD-128 and DDM were chosen based on the viscosity analysis. The mixtures of YD-128 and DDM with the different molar ratios were cured at $170^{\circ}C$ for 15 min followed by post cure at $190^{\circ}C$ for two hours. The thermal properties of the cured samples were investigated with DSC, TGA, DMA, and TMA. The conversion ratio of the mixtures of YD-128 and DDM (1 : 1.1) was calculated by dividing ${\Delta}H$ obtained from DSC experiments for each cured sample by ${\Delta}H$. The TGA data of the cured samples showed that the thermal stability and thermal degradation activation energy were proportional to the amount of DDM in the mixtures. However, the highest tan ${\delta}$, and the lowest thermal expansion data with DMA and TMA respectively were obtained from the stoichiometric mixture of YD-128 and DDM. Furthermore, the different ratio of mixtures were applied to test specimens to be cured at $170^{\circ}C$ to measure single lap shear strength with universal testing machine.

Epoxy resins are widely used in various fields due to their excellent thermal, mechanical and chemical properties. In order to improve the mechanical properties of the epoxy composition after curing, various materials are mixed in the epoxy resin. Among the nano materials, CNT is the most widely used. However, CNT has limitations in terms of manufacturing process and manufacturing cost. Therefore, there is a growing interest in naturally occurring HNTs having similar structure to that of CNT. In this study, the thermal and mechanical properties of epoxy compositions containing HNTs treated with two types of silane compounds were investigated. The mechanical properties of silane-treated HNT were measured by using a universal testing machine. The differential scanning calorimeter (DSC), thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), and thermomechanical analysis (TMA) were used to measure thermal properties. As a result of the above tests, when the HNT was surface-treated with aminosilane, the tensile strength of the epoxy composition containing the HNT was higher than that of the epoxy composition containing epoxy silane treated HNT. The linear thermal expansion coefficients (CTE) obtained from the thermomechanical analysis of the two epoxy compositions for the comparison of dimensional stability showed that the HNT composition treated with aminosilane showed a lower value of CTE than that of epoxy composition including the pristine HNT.

Polymer-modified cement is the composite material made by partially replacing and strengthening the cement hydrate binders of conventional mortar with polymeric modifiers such as polymer latexes and redispersible polymeric modifiers. It is known that the addition of polymer to cement mortar leads to improved quality, which would be expected to have a high chemical resistance. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to identify the improved chemical resistance, such as low permeability and low ion diffusivity, of the polymer-modified cement as a solidification agent for the radwaste. First, polymer-modified cement specimens by latex modification were prepared according to the polymer content from 0% to 30% to select the optimized polymer content. At those specimens, the water-to-cement (W/C) ratio was maintained to 33% and 50% respectively. After the much curing time, the structural integrity of specimens was evaluated through the compressive strength test and the porosity evaluation by the water immersion method. From the results, 10% of the polymer content at 33% of the W/C ratio was shown to have the most improved quality. Finally, the leaching test referredfrom ANS 16.1 for the specimens having the most improved quality was conducted. Dedicated specimens for the leaching test were then mixed with radioisotopes of $^{60}Co$ and $^{137}Cs$ at the specimen preparation.

To prepare acrylic resin coatings containing 70% of solids, we used n-butyl methacrylate(BMA), methyl methacrylate(MMA), 2-hydroxyethyl methacrylate(2-HEMA), and acetoacetoxyethyl acrylate(AAEA), caprolactone acrylate(CLA) as raw materials, the glass transition temperature(Tg) of acrylic copolymer was adjusted around 50 ℃. The viscosity and molecular weight of the acrylic resins was increased with increasing OH values. Di-tert-amyl peroxide was found to be the suitable initiator to get high-solids acrylic resins. The optimum reaction conditions found in the study are 5 wt% of initiator, 4 wt% of chain transfer agent, 4 hrs of dropping time, and 140 ℃ of reaction temperature. The structure of the synthesized resins were characterized by FT-IR and 1H-NMR spectroscopy. Number average molecular weight of 1900~2600 and molecular wight distribution of 1.4~2.1 were obtained. Crosslinked acrylic urethane clear coatings were obtained by curing reaction between the synthesized acrylic resins and hexamethylene diisocyanate trimer(Desmodur N-3300), the equivalent ratio of NCO/OH was 1.2/1.0. The physical properties from the following studies were carried out: viscosity(Zahn cup #2), adhesion, drying time, pot-life, pensil hardness, and 60° specular gloss. Various properties of the acrylic urethane clear coatings were also evaluated on the coating specimens. Adhesion property to a substrate, drying time, pot-life, pencil hardness, and 60° specular gloss of prepared paint showed quite good properties. Futhermore, prepared paint containing 10% of CLA showed quite good properties for adhesion, low viscosity and high hardness.
