탄소섬유 에폭시 복합재료 연삭숫돌 선정에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Grinding Characteristics of the Carbon Fiber Epoxy Composite Materials with the Vitrified Bonded Wheel)

  • Although the net-shape molding of composites is generally recommended, molded composites frequently requires cutting or grinding due to the dimensional inaccuracy for precision machine elements. The surface roughness and cutting force were also measured to investigate the surface grinding characteristics of the composites using the vitrified bonded wheel (WA, GC). The experiments were performed dry grinding conditions with respect to cutting speed, feed speed, depth of cut of the stacking sequence $[O]_{nT.}$ From the experimental investigation, the optimal conditions both the vitrified bonded wheel WA and GC for the surface grinding are suggested.

During the composite machining operations such as cutting and grinding, the temperature at the grinding area may increase beyond the allowed limit due to the low thermal conductivity of composites, which might degrade the matrix of composite. Therefore, in this work, the temperature at the grinding point during surface grinding of carbon fiber epoxy composite was measured. The grinding temperature and surface roughness were also measured to investigate the surface grinding characteristics of the composited. The experiments were performed both under dry and wet grinding conditions with respect to cutting speed, feed speed, depth of cut and stacking angle. From the experimental investigation, the optimal conditions for the composite plain grinding were suggested.

피톤치드를 함유한 복합레진의 기계적 특성 및 Streptococcus mutans에 대한 항균 효과 (Mechanical properties and antibacterial effects on Streptococcus mutans of composite resins containing phytoncide)

  • Objectives: The aim of this study is to investigate the mechanical properties and antibacterial effects on Streptococcus mutans of composite resins containing phytoncide. Methods: Phytoncide was mixed with commercial composite resins at 0 (control), 1.25, 2.5, 3.75, and 5.0 weight percentage (wt%). Mechanical properties related to composite resins such as surface hardness, depth of cure, and flexural strength were measured. Antibacterial effects of composite resins were analyzed by using Streptococcus mutans (ATCC 25175). The results were analyzed by one-way analysis of variance followed by Tukey's test (p<0.05). Results: Composite resins that contain low wt% of phytoncide demonstrated no significant difference in surface hardness, depth of cure, and flexural strength (p>0.05). However, composite resins that contain high wt% of phytoncide had significantly decreased mechanical properties (p<0.05). In terms of antibacterial effects, composite resins containing phytoncide inhibited the growth of S. mutans. Conclusions: Our findings suggest that novel composite resins containing phytoncide have effective antibacterial properties while maintaining the originally important mechanical features of composite resins.

  • The purpose of this study was to test the hypothesis that the more thorough cure of lightactivated composite resin could be obtained if a new way of delivering the light source deep through the resin body is developed when compared to the conventional bulk cure or incremental cure. Using cylindrical resin blocks and natural teeth, various curing conditions were tested for their effects on the degree of microleakage and microhardness. Data were analyzed statistically using One-Way ANOVA and Scheff's Multiple Range test. The results of the present study were as follows: 1. The increment of reduction in microhardness with depth was shown to be higher in group I and II than in group II and V. 2. At the level of lower inner surface and the bottom surface, significantly lower microhardness values were obtained in group I and II when compared to group III, IV and V. Group IV showed the lowest value among three groups(III, IV, V) representing the only statistically significant difference from group V(p<05). 3. Differences between groups in the degree of microleakage detected were shown to be statistically significant (p<05) with the exception of group IV and V at both occlusal and gingival margins. 4. Based upon the above-mentioned results, commonly cited recommendation of incremental curing is strongly supported and the light-transmitting wedge insertion method can be considered as a effective and feasible clinical procedure for the better curing of composite resin. However, more studies under a variety of conditions should be completed before this method is applied actually to the clinical setting.

메니에르병 환자의 질병 체험 연구 (Qualitative Study on the Experience of Patients with Meniere Disease)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to understand and describe the experiences of patients with Meniere disease. Methods: Data were collected from February 19, 2019, to February 5, 2020, through individual in-depth interviews with 13 Meniere patients. Verbatim transcripts were analyzed using Colaizzi's phenomenological analysis. Results: The experiences of patients with Meniere disease were clustered into the following four themes from 22 meaning units: 1) Complex unfamiliar symptoms that shatter both balance of the body and peace of the heart; 2) A disease that medical treatment and health professionals cannot cure; 3) Suffering hardships that cannot be understood by non-Meniere sufferers; and 4) Making daily efforts to become healthier. Symptoms of Meniere disease are life-shattering and depressing because they are neither visible nor easily curable. Over time, as they accepted the reality of living with the disease, the participants would shift their focus from complete symptomatic cure to leading a healthy and more balanced life. Conclusion: This study shows that Meniere disease has a pervasive impact on all aspects of the patients' lives. Patients are prone to experiencing restrictions in their social functioning and activities. They also experience psychosocial problems due to the unseen nature of their symptoms. This study elucidates the experiences of Meniere patients and the need for nursing intervention to help improve their quality of life and ability to self-manage. Lastly, this study shows the need for a coordinated interdisciplinary approach to raising public awareness of the disease.

Oral and Human Microbiome Research

  • In the past gut microbiome has been the main focus of microbiome research. Studies about the microbiome inside oral cavities and other organs are underway. Studies about the relationship between noninfectious diseases and periodontal diseases, and the negative effects of harmful oral microbes on systemic health have been published in the recent past. A lot of attention is being paid towards fostering a healthy oral microbial ecosystem. This study aimed to understand the roles and effects of the microbiome inside the human body can potentially help cure various diseases including inflammatory bowel diseases with no known cure such as Crohn's disease, atopic dermatitis, obesity, cancer, diabetes, brain diseases and oral diseases. The present study examined technological trends in the correlation between the human microbiome and diseases in the human body, interactions between the human body's immunity, the metabolic system, and the microbiome, and research trends in other countries. While it has been proven that human microbiome is closely correlated with human diseases, most studies are still in the early stage of trying to compare the composition of microbiomes between health and patient groups. Since the oral environment is a dynamic environment that changes due to not only food intake but also other external factors such as lifestyle, hygiene, and drug intake, it is necessary to continue in-depth research on the microbiome composition characteristics to understand the complex functions of oral microorganisms. Analyzing the oral microbiome using computational technology may aid in disease diagnosis and prevention.

기성콘크리트말뚝(PHC)을 이용한 옹벽겸용 흙막이설계사례 (Case Study on the Design of Earth Retaining and Retention Wall Using Pre-casted Concreted Pile(PHC))

  • The bearing methods using pile of steel itself or reinforced concrete has been applying which in excavated depth was not deep. Also, the retaining wall as resisting structure to lateral force has taken weakness that the cure periods of concreted is long. Recently, with the material cost of steel, the application of cement is more increasing trend. In this study, the design methods of earth retaining and retention wall within the pre-casted concrete pile, PHC(Pretentioned spun High strength Concrete piles), was proposed which in the ground condition of excavated depth was not deep. The typical ground conditions, cohesive and non-cohesive soil, was considered as follows; soil strength as internal friction angle and UU(Undrained Unconsolidation triaxial test) strength, soil reaction and stabilization of structures. The application of design methods could be confirmed through the comparing and analyzing between measured data and utility software for the design.

SLA를 이용한 쾌속조형시 성형오차와 보정 (Forming Error and Compensation in RP Using SLA)

  • SLA (Stereolithography Apparatus) it a process used to rapidly produce polymer components directly from a computer representation of the part. Though SLA is being recognized as an innovative technology, it still cannot be used to fully practical application since it lacks of dimensional accuracy compared to conventional process. If the shrinkage were perfectly uniform and no distortion took place, excellent part accuracy could still be achieved through and appropriate scaling factor when generating the build file. However, in certain geometries involving intersecting thick and thin sections, nonuniform retrain shrinkage becomes the engine of part distortion. In order to improve the part accuracy of SLA, this paper evaluates how largely each parameter of SLA contributes to the part accuracy and estimates the optimal set of parameter which minimizes the dimension error of the test part, "Slab (100mm$\times$100mm$\times$2mm)"and "scale bar"part. Three control parameters such as critical exposure, generation depth and fill cure depth are used.

  • As a life cycle of product bas shortend, Rapid prototypiug has come into the spotlight to shortened the time of producint a prototype. But It followed in laminated directivity and of the prototype production which is decided the interference which Beccuase of invisible rough surface, some inferences have occured during an assembly hour. Consequently, This study on rapid prototyping has parameter to determine surface roughness and surface form precision of total shape. In order to improve Surface form precision, it can control parameters which are Laminate Height, Layer Hatch Overcue, Fill Cure Depth. In addition, we found the parameter which have a deep effect on surface roughness among various parameters, and then, tried to reduce the interference that can be occurred by surface roughness during assembly.
