미야이리균 첨가에 따르는 양식어류의 성장과 혈액성상에 대하여 (The Effects of Miyairi (Clostridium butyricum Miyairi II 588) on the Hematology and Growth of Cultured Fishes)

  • 미야이리균(Clostridium butyricum Miyairi II 588)을 담수산 양식어류인 잉어, 틸라피아, 이스라엘잉어에 첨가하여 사육한 결과 다음과 같은 결과를 얻었다. 1. 잉어, 틸라피아, 이스라엘잉어에 대한 사육 실험 결과 0.1%의 미야이리균을 첨가한구에서 가장 효율적인 성장율을 나타내었다. 2. 각 어종의 혈액 검사를 실시하여 본 결과 혈액내의 적혈구수, 헤모글로빈량, 헤마토크릿트치에서는 이상을 발견할 수 없었으며, 혈청내 단백질의 증가와, 콜레스테롤의 감소, 글루코스의 증가가 나타났다. 3. 혈청내의 GOT와 GPT는 정상어제의 수치와 유사하게 나타났다.

  • 1998년 3월부터 2000년 4월까지 전라남 북도 및 충청남도 일원의 내수면 양식장에서 사육중인 뱀장어(Anguilla japonica)와 메기(Parasilurus asotus)를 무작위로 채집하여 아가미에서 국내 미기록종인 4종의 단생흡충류를 검출하였다. 검출된 단생흡충류는 모두 아가미 흡충으로서 뱀장어에서는 Pseudodactylogyrus bini(KIKUCHI, 1929), P. anguillae(YIN & SPROSTON, 1948), 메기에서 Ancylodiscoides infundibulovagina(YAMAGUTI,1941) 및 Ancylodiscoides sp.가 검출되었다.

  • 1998년 3월부터 2000년 4월까지 전라남 북도 및 충청남도 일원의 내수면 양식장에서 사육중인 잉어(Cyprinus carpio)와 미꾸리(Misgurnus anguillicaudatus)를 채집하여 아가미에서 3종의 단생흡충류를 검출하였다. 검출된 단생 흡충류는 잉어에서는 Dactylogyrus extensus(Mueller and Cleave,1932)와 Diplozoon niponicum(Goto, 1891)을, 미꾸리에서는 Gylodactylus paralatus(Gussev,1955)가 검출되었다. 이들 단생흡충 중 Dactylogyrus extensus와 Gylodactylus paralatus는 국내에서는 처음으로 보고되는 종이다.

천연산 및 양식산 뱀장어, 복어, 가물치의 맛 성분에 대한 연구 (Comparison of The Taste Compounds of Wild and Cultured Eel, Puffer and Snake head)

  • In this study, eel, puffer and snake head fish, which are widely taken and highly valued for processing into baked fish, soup or fish juice were studied by classifying them into wild fish and cultured fish, and evaluated in terms of taste. The samples were gathered in the area including Kimhae, Samchonpo and Haman in Kyungsangnam-do, Kangsu-Gu in Pusan and Bukcheju-Gun in Cheju-do. Proximate compositions, the content of nucleotides and their related compounds, total and free amino acids, organic acids and fatty acids of the fishes were analysed. Generally, as for the compositions, wild fish had a higher crude fat content and a lower moisture content as compared with cultured fish, while there was no great difference between them in terms of crude protein and ash contents. Nucleotides and their related compounds including ATP, ADP, AMP, IMP, HxR, Hx were detected, and the amounts of which were nearly the same with respect to the growth conditions. IMP content was high in all of the samples, while ATP content was extremely low. Total 17 amino acids were detected from the samples, and most of the samples had high contents of glutamic acid, aspartic acid, lysine, leucine, glycine, alanine and arginine, and low contents of cystein, isoleucine and methionine. As for the other amino acids, generally same level of contents were detected for each samples. In cases of eel and snake head fish, the wild fish had higher total amino acid contents in comparison with cultured fish. And the result to the contrary was obtained for the case of puffer. Sample fishes had nearly the same compose distribution of free amino acid though the contents of which were a little different according to the samples. Each sample had high contents of taurine, hydroxyproline, glutamic acid, glycine, cystathionine, ${\beta}-aminoisobutyric$ acid and lysine. Total organic acid contents of cultured fish was higher than that of wild fish. All fishes commonly had high contents of lactic acid, iso-valeric acid, oxalic acid and fumaric acid. High levels of $C_{16:0},\;C_{16:1},\;C_{18:1(cis)},\;C_{18:3},\;and\;C_{22:6}$ were shown in all of the samples and ${\omega}-3$ polyunsaturated fatty acid content of cultured fish was higher than that of wild fish, and as for the essential fatty acid, wild fish has higher content in comparison with cultured fish.

2013-2016년 양식 조피볼락(Sebastes schlegeli)의 해역별 선충(Clavinema mariae) 및 병원체 감염 현황 (Monitoring of Diseases Including Nematode Clavinema mariae Infections in the Cultured Korean Rockfish Sebastes schlegeli During 2013-2016)

  • Diagnostic monitoring in Korean rockfish cages was performed to survey the prevalence of pathogens in cultured Korean rockfish Sebastes schlegeli from May 2013 to July 2016. A total of 1,945 fish samples collected from the western (Cheonsu Bay and Heuksando), southern (Tongyeong and Namhae), and eastern coasts (Pohang) of Korea were tested for parasites, viruses, and bacteria. In this study, 1,264 and 334 fishes were infected with Microcotyle sebastis and Clavinema mariae, respectively. The prevalence rates of C. clavinema in fishes from Cheonsu Bay, Heuksando, and Tongyeong were 35.3%, 3.9% and 1.9%, respectively. No C. clavinema infection was detected in cultured rockfish from Namhae and Pohang. Furthermore, bacteria including Photobacterium damselae (8.9%), Photobacterium piscicola (2.3%), Photobacterium spp. (8.9%), Aeromonas salmonicida (1.8%), Aeromonas spp. (0.9%), Vibrio scophthalmi (1.5%), Vibrio spp. (3.3%), Streptococcus iniae (1.2%), and others (8.0%) were detected in 373 of 1,364 fishes. No virus was detected in any fish investigated in this study.

양식산 어류의 부위별 총수은 함량 및 위해도 평가 (Total Mercury Content and Risk Assessment of Farmed Fish Tissues)

  • Total mercury (TM) is a hazardous element that is of particular concern to human health. Due to the diversity of dietary habits among fishes, tissue-specific analysis of hazardous elements is necessary. In this study, the tissue-specific TM in cultured fish was analyzed to conduct risk assessment. The highest concentrations of TM were found in the farmed marine fish Pagrus major (0.111 mg/kg) and in the farmed freshwater fish Channa argus (0.162 mg/kg). TM concentration was significantly correlated with total fish length (P<0.01). Significant differences in TM were found between three types of fish tissue, with the concentration in fish muscle being significantly higher than those of gill or liver (P<0.01). Moreover, the tissue-specific TM concentrations of farmed freshwater fish were significantly higher than those of farmed marine fish (P<0.01). According to the risk assessment, the TM body exposure rate of muscle and liver in cultured fishes ranged from 0.001 to 0.389% of the Provisional Tolerable Weekly Intake. Therefore, these results showing the tissue-specific TM contents of cultured fish could be useful to assess the health risks of Korean dietary habits.

  • The movement ranges and diurnal behavior of the rockfish (Sebastes schlegeli) sonic tagged externally were measured by the acoustic telemetry in the marine ranching area of Tongyoung on 20 to 26 March and 4 October to 3 November, 2003. The results of study are as follows: 1. Two cage cultured fishes (body length: $30-34{\cal}cm$) were released the point where located approximately $250{\cal}m$ from the caught point on 30 March, 2003. They moved to the south $500{\cal}m$ away Sojangdudo and stayed within a $500{\cal}m$ radius of the position during the study. 2. Three wild fishes (body length: $28-32{\cal}cm$) were released around the caught point on 4 and 8 October, 2003. It was often measured that tagged fishes moved out the $500{\cal}m$ radius of released point for a week after release. After several days, the movement range tended to be reduced. Finally, they stayed within the $250{\cal}m$ radius of released point. 3. There was no significant difference of diurnal behavior of the rockfish between the cage cultured and the wild fishes. The movement range, however, for the night-time was a little wider than for the day-time.

Occurrence of eye abnormality in cultured red seabream (Pagrus major) and induced hybrid, red seabream Pagrus major(♀) ${\times}$ black seabream Acanthopagrus schlegeli(♂)

  • Red scabream, Pagrus major , is a valuable aquaculture species in Korea , but spontaneous eye abnormality occurred in cultured individuals . The incidence of eye abnormality was 4% in the group of cultured red scebream. The abnormality was characterized by unilateral and bilateral exophthalmos, opacity and lens pathology. Lense prolapse was found in two cases. Lenses in diseased fishes was considerably small in diameter and eyes were deformed as a whole. In the group of induced hybrid red scabream Pagrus major (♀) x black seabrearn Acanthopagrus schlegeli (♂), the incidence of eye abnormality wa~ the same 4%, but only opacity was registered. Opacity was also found in two of sixteen examined Wild-caught red seabrcam. Histopathological changes of lenses in cultured red seabreem included vecuolated cytoplasm of lens fibers, necrosis of fibers in central part of lens, folding and increase in thickness of lens capsule, and epithelial proliferation beneath the anterior lens capsule. In affected eyes no parasites or gas bubbles were found.

천연 및 양식산 담수어의 식품성분 (Food Components of Wild and Cultured Fresh Water Fishes)

  • 한국산 양식어의 식품성분을 개선하기 위한 학술적 기초자료를 얻기 위하여 뱀장어, 가물치, 잉어를 천연산과 양식산으로 구분하고, 식품성분에 관하여 분석비교한 연구결과는 아래와 같다. 1. 담수어의 일반 성분중 공통적 특징은 천연산은 조단백질 함량이 많고 양식산은 조지질 함량이 많았다. 2. 천연산 뱀장어, 가물치, 잉어육 중의 무기질중 나트륨, 칼리움, 칼슘, 마그네슘 등은 분석한 9종의 무기질 총량의 $99.75{\sim}99.90%$를 차지하였으며, 양식산에서도 이들 4종의 무기질이 $99.52{\sim}99.92%$의 많은 양을 나타내었다. 또한 사료도 이들 4종의 무기질이 $99.68{\sim}99.92%$로 많았다. 3. 지질획분은 중성지질이 뱀장어, 가물치, 잉어 모두 $55.7{\sim}95.8%$로서 대부분을 차지하고 있으나 가물치는 인지질이 $24.5{\sim}41.5%$로서 뱀장어, 잉어에 비하여 많았다. 4. 천연산 및 양식산 뱀장어, 가물치, 잉어의 중성지질은 triglyceride가 $85.0{\sim}95.2%$로서 대부분을 차지하였고, 그외에 diglyceride, monoglyceride, free sterol 및 sterol ester, hydrocarbon 등이 소량 검출되었다. 5. 뱀장어와 잉어의 지질의 조성은 phosphatidyl choline이 $71.3{\sim}83.9%$로 대부분을 차지하였고 phosphatidyl ethanolamine of $12.1{\sim}23.5%$, phosphatidyl serine이 $2.1{\sim}9.8%$로 소량 확인되었다. 또한 가물치의 인지질조성은 phosphatidyl choline이 $50.7{\sim}64.5%$로서 그 함량이 뱀장어와 잉어에 비하여 다소 낮았다. phosphatidyl choline은 천연산이 양식산에 비해 그 함량이 많았으며 phosphatidyl ethanolamine 및 phosphatidyl serine은 양식산이 많았다. 6. 총지질의 지방산 조성은 뱀장어, 가물치, 잉어 모두 천연산은 $C_{16:0},\;C_{20:5}$가 많았고, 양식산에는 $C_{18:1},\;C_{18:2}\;,C_{22:6}$이 많았다. 중성지질의 지방산 조성은 총지질과 유사하였으며, 인지질은 양식산이 $C_{18:1}$$C_{18:2}$가 많았고, 또한 당지질은 천연산이 $C_{20:5}$$C_{22:6}$이, 양식산은 $C_{18:2}$가 많았다. 7. 양식어와 이들 사료중 총지질의 지방산 조성을 보면 monoene산은 사료보다 양식어쪽의 함량이 높았고, 포화산과 polyene산은 사료보다 양식어쪽이 낮은 경향이었다. 8. 천연 및 양식산 뱀장어의 아미노산 총량은 각각 $16.65\%$$15.99\%$로서 양자간에 거의 차이가 없었으며, 함량이 많은 것은 glutamic acid, leucine, aspartic acid, lysine 순이었다. 가물치는 천연산이 $18.06\%$이며, 양식산은 $18.52\%$이며 천연산은 glutamic acid, alanine, glycine 및 leucine은 많았으며 양식산은 aspartic acid 및 proline이 많았다. 또한 잉어는 천연산이 $16.94\%$, 양식산은 $20.95\%$로서 양식산은 glutamic acid, aspartic acid, glycine, proline 및 alamine이 천연산에 비해 그 함량이 다소 많았으나 이외의 아미노산 함량은 큰 차이가 없었다. 9. 양식산 뱀장어의 유리아미노산은 aspartic acid가 총 유리아미노산의 약 $1.0\%$였으나 천연산은 $2.9\%$를 차지하였다. 반면 histidine, arginine 및 tyrosine등은 양식산이 천연산보다 약 2배 가량 많았다. 그러나 양식산지에 따른 유리 아미노산 조성비는 큰 차이가 없었다. 가물치의 경우 arginine, aspartic acid, glutamic acid, methionine, phenylalanine 함량은 천연산이 양식산보다 그 함량이 많았으나 lysine, histidine, glycine 및 alanine은 그 반대였다. 천연산 잉어의 유리아미노산 중 histidne, glycine 및 lysine 함량이 총유리아미노산의 $76.9\%$를 차지하였다. lysine, histidine, aspartic acid, alanine, valine 및 leucine은 양식산에 비해 천연산의 함량이 많았으나 glycine과 tyrosine은 그 반대였다. 10. 양식 뱀장어 육중의 유리아미노산의 필수아미노산패턴과 사료중의 필수아미노산패턴과는 거의 같은 경향이었다.

Genetic positioning of Korean viral hemorrhagic septicemia virus (VHSV) from cultured and wild marine fishes

  • Viral haemorrhagic septicaemia virus (VHSV) is an epidemic virus in olive flounder Paralichthys olivaceus farms in Korea, since the virus have first isolated in 2001. In the present study, partial glycoprotein (G) gene nucleotide sequences of seven Korean VHSV from cultured olive flounder and wild marine fishes in coastal areas of Korea were analyzed to evaluate their genetic relatedness to worldwide isolates. Phylogenetically, all Korean VHSV formed only one minor cluster including Japanese isolates, in genotype IVa, while the North America isolates formed a different minor cluster in genotype IVa. These results suggest that Korean VHSV could be an indigenous virus in Korean and Japanese coastal areas, but have not been introduced from North America.
