  • The purpose of this study is to develop an educational program for Korean traditional food culture, which is consisted of diverse activity factors and educational contents of the elementary students, and to transfer Korean traditional food culture to the next generation effectively. We have developed the program on the basis of FIB(Fun Integrated Behavior) approach derived from the activity-based education theory. This program is consisted of 32 subjects related with Korean traditional food culture, which is planned to perform in special activity classes for 2 semesters. An instruction guidebook for teachers and a workbook for students have been also developed. The traditional food culture educational program which is developed in this study could be used as a practical educational tool in 'dietary life and culture class' or 'special activity class' which is recently being introduced as the nutrition education curriculum in the elementary school. Furthermore, we expect this program to be able to contribute to transferring Korean traditional food culture to the next generation and reinforcing the elementary schoolers' diet behavior through inspiring them with a realization of the superiority of Korean traditional food culture.

  • Purpose: This study was to examine the relationships between nurse's perception of patient safety culture and performance for safety nursing activities at rehabilitation hospitals. Methods: This study applied a descriptive research design. Participants were 194 nurses who have provided nursing services for more than 6 months at 4 rehabilitation hospitals located in B metropolitan city. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, $Scheff{\acute{e}}$ test, Pearson's correlation coefficients and multiple regression. Results: There was a positive correlation between the awareness of patient safety culture and safety nursing activity. Multivariate analysis showed that hospital work environment, experience of education, hospital climate, frequency of reported events, and marital status were significantly associated with the safety nursing activity. Overall, approximately 23.1% of total variability in the safety nursing activity could be explained by the 5 variables ($R^2=0.231$, p<.005). Conclusion: Nurses at rehabilitation hospitals are relatively positive about patient safety culture. Therefore, we need to develop safety education programs at the level of organization in order to improve patient safety through performing effective safety nursing activities in addition to increase awareness of patient safety culture among nurses. Furthermore, we need hospital's strategies at the system level for open communication and outcome reports regarding patient safety.

  • The article notes that one of the reasons for the crisis in education was the sharp discrepancy between the emerging new forms and content and the model of macro-management that has developed over the decades. The level of management of the educational system did not emerge as a specific activity characterized by its own mechanisms and processes, just as qualified carriers of this activity - professionals - managers - did not appear. At the same time, there is practically no theoretical and methodological model of the macrolevel of education management, that is, management of the educational system as an integral structure.

The subjects, 60 early childhood teachers, were asked to draw concept maps about early childhood economic education. Their concept maps were analyzed in terms of superordinate and subordinate concepts by contents and frequencies. The results were as follows. First, 248 superordinate concepts were shown, and they were categorized into nine representative terms: 'Scarcity and Choice,' 'Decision Making,' 'Monetary Value,' 'Production,' 'Consumption,' 'Distribution,' 'Restrain,' 'Reuse,' and 'Economic Education Activity.' Second, 1,440 subordinate concepts were shown, and 'coin,' 'bill,' 'saving,' 'bank,' and 'money' were frequently shown. Third, the mean numbers of subordinate concepts per superordinate concepts showed that early childhood teachers had more knowledge about 'Consumption,' 'Monetary Value,' and 'Economic Education Activity' than other superordinate concepts. The results showed the need for early childhood teachers to have more systematic and hierarchical pedagogical content knowledge on economic education.
