Contemporary fashion research has paid increasing attention to the sublimity in the context of postmodernism. Sublimity is considered essential in contemporary fashion design as it arouses complex emotions which verbal expression cannot describe. Therefore, contemporary fashion designs need to be interpreted in terms of the sublimity. Through a detailed review of literature, the present study discusses Kantian and Lyotardian sublimity as main theories representing conventional and cotemporary concepts of sublimity. This paper selected five Korean fashion designers who won the prize of Samsung Design Fund from 2006 to 2019 and actively introduce their works every year. Images were collected to analyze their designs introduced from 2018 S/S to 2019F/W at their website. In addition, formative and color characteristics were analyzed to identify the changing features of s sublimity. Major findings of analyses are as follows. First, all designers' collections reflected both male and female sublimity with the respect to its formative characteristics. Color characteristics of sublimity indicated that Jeong, Wook Jun's collections represented features of male sublimity and other designers works showed elements of female sublimity. Essentially, the typical contemporary concept of the sublimity was found in the designs of Seo, Hye In. Consequently, female sublimity is more inclusive than male sublimity, while being opened to otherness.

The future is complex and unpredictable. In particular, it is unlikely to occur, but once it occurs, no one knows how it will affect our society if X-event, which has a tremendous impact, is created. This study was conducted only in the climate field to offset the ripple effect of this X-event, and was conducted through in-depth interviews with experts from the Korea Army Research Center for Future & Innovation and the Army College. As a result, it was possible to explore what factors would trigger X-event from their discourse and what X-event would be newly created by spreading them to other fields. Starting with this study, if we accumulate the discourse of experts in various fields such as population, science and technology, as well as climate, and other fields other than the Army, we can predict X-event and offset the threats that may arise.

This paper discusses a study on developing an artificial intelligence model to detect incidents of fires in distribution switchboard using thermal images. The objective of the research is to preprocess collected thermal images into suitable data for object detection models and design a model capable of determining the occurrence of fires within distribution panels. The study utilizes thermal image data from AI-HUB's industrial complex for training. Two CNN-based deep learning object detection algorithms, namely Faster R-CNN and RetinaNet, are employed to construct models. The paper compares and analyzes these two models, ultimately proposing the optimal model for the task.

This Paper is Empirical Analysis of the Relationship between Authentic Leadership and Organizational Citizenship Behavior. It's important for enhancing corporate performance to facilitate positive interactions between leaders and members, and to cultivate a positive psychology for achieving common goals. Members with high positive psychological capital have confidence in performing their tasks, expect successful outcomes, and when problems arise, they adjust their course and persevere. This complex state of adjusting or transcending one's psychology is referred to as positive psychological capital (Luthans & Youssef, 2007). Recognizing this, the study identifies positive psychological capital as a crucial factor in enhancing corporate performance and competitiveness, and chooses it as a mediator in the research.

Identifying emotions through speech poses a significant challenge due to the complex relationship between language and emotions. Our paper aims to take on this challenge by employing feature engineering to identify emotions in speech through a multimodal classification task involving both speech and text data. We evaluated two classifiers-Convolutional Neural Networks (CNN) and Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM)-both integrated with a BERT-based pre-trained model. Our assessment covers various performance metrics (accuracy, F-score, precision, and recall) across different experimental setups). The findings highlight the impressive proficiency of two models in accurately discerning emotions from both text and speech data.

In these days, science is too complex and comprehensive scientific practices to be reduced to scientific knowledge. Also it's actors go beyond the limit of scientist society to the broad range of supporting system scientific journalism, education, and business. Science is very important cultural practice of our times. This Study focus on the effect of interdisciplinary approach in understanding modern science culture. First, this paper suggest the approach of public understanding of science(PUS) as a framework PUS has provided new perspectives for the relation of scientific knowledge and understanding. Traditional approach(so-called 'deficit model') regarded understanding as mere transportation of scientific knowledge. So it may be called 'knowledge-oriented approach' to understanding. But PUS consider understanding process of 'dynamic reconstructing' which is occurred in complex socio-cultural context. Second, this article analysis the Korea University STS course(2002-2003) 'Science Technology & Society' as the case study. The case study examine how interdisciplinary approach help students to understand 'sciene in the making'.

This paper examines the material culture of the Goryeo-Joseon Period through changes in the design and crafting of the earpick. In Chapter 2, terminology regarding earpicks is presented, and the culture of using earpicks is examined through fragmentary literature of the late Joseon Dynasty. Earpicks were first a personal hygiene tool, and, secondly, they played a symbolic role as a style accessory used by men, analogous to the fan carried by women of the time. In Chapter 3, earpick form are classified by period, and characteristic decorative techniques for each form are examined. During the Goryeo Dynasty, earpicks were sanitary tools, and, according to their form, they were classified into single and complex types. From Unified Silla to Goryeo, there is an angled type of connecting rod, and in the Goryeo period, there appeared earpicks with colorful decorations on the handle, completely forged earpicks with a thin and long shape, and earpicks which were part of multitools. Common decorative techniques include line expression, gold plating, cheophomun on the background, and inlay. Earpicks of the Joseon Dynasty are classified into sanitary tools or ornaments, according to their purpose of use. Sanitary tools are divided into single type and complex type, and earpicks used as ornaments include headdress, norigae, and sunchu. For earpick accessories, headdresses and norigae were used for women, and sunchu was used for men. The decorative techniques of earpicks during the Joseon Dynasty were mainly seen in the headdress earpicks. They were decorated with various colors in the Cloisonné method or bejeweled. Research on everyday tools among crafts is lacking; greater attempts to read the flow of time and approaches to material culture through everyday tools should be made.

The problem of library space has long been discussed in various aspects such as library relations, architecture, and space design. The purpose of this study is to examine the change of the concept of the complex space of the library according to the development of advanced technology and the social paradigm, and to present the direction of constructing the complex space of the future library by analyzing each case. All concepts such as mediatheque, information commons, larchiveum, and the maker space that is recently introduced into the library are important elements of the complex space presented as a problem of library construction and space. Presently, It is required to change convergence the role of hardware system and software technology that promoted trust of In-Vehicle for integrated complex system visibility evaluation. There is possibility for the period system can invoke unpredictable confusing blank state. The blank state systems have ecosystem characteristics that are supplied, maintained and operated through the complex interactions of technology and culture. Using universal middleware can support the life-cycle model and increase the visibility of complex systems and prepare for confusing situations. In this study, based on universal middleware, data and service dynamic standardized modules were evaluated to support stable system visibility platform. The system visibility module consists of Intelligent Pervasive Cloud module, Memorial Service module and Life Cycler connection module. In addition, the analysis results are supported by various network application service standards through platform independent system and architecture.
