  • The purpose of this study is to analyze modern fashion culture in the 20th century through changes in transmedia in order to better understand characteristics of fashion contents. The study also strived to identify the characteristics of remediation in modern fashion and media by exploring the cultural code, and use it to establish an integrated view. The subjects and the method of the study are as follows. First, the study analyzed the development of transmedia and fashion culture since the 20th century. Second, it identified the transitional characteristics of transmedia. Third, the study analyzed the characteristics of remediation in modern fashion culture by using the characteristics of mediation, which appeared with the transitional characteristics of transmedia. The study results are as follows. First, the types of remediation are 'borrowing,' 'Representation,' 'Expansion,' 'Refashion,' and 'Absorb.' In old and new media, each type can be aesthetically experienced in 'transparency,' opaqueness,' 'Hypermediacy,' and 'Immediacy.' Second, fashion culture can undergo a transformation from its original form to a second and a third iteration, and this process allows for possibility of an expansion of multiple plots and well-rounded character settings. This opens up the possibility for fashion consumer participation, and signifies a transition into an environment where expansion of time and space is possible. The third finding is the non-mediation of fashion objects. The mediating relationship between clothes and media is directly connected to the development of new media. The immersion of new media by fashion consumers has the characteristics of 'transparency'/'Non-mediation,' and the reinterpretation and reproduction of original fashion styles have the characteristics of 'opaqueness'/'Hyper-mediation.' Fourth, fashion culture has data variability. Through 'Borrowing,' 'Representation,' 'Expansion,' 'Remodeling,' and 'Absorption,' the cultural hierarchy of reproduced fashion forms a multi-layered integrated network. Mediation code, which repurposes fashion culture contents, also creates new media fashion through transmedia.

  • Crowd funding can be understood that consumers are participated in production process before real commercialization. These days there are some expectancy and worry about foreign capital influence to Korea Wave. This study is to find out the possibility that Korea Wave can lead to investment to make new cultural contents and find possibility as new investment funding source. Expecially this research did survey at Gwangjou in China with 20s and find their possibility to invest money for crowd funding related to Korea Wave and we evaluate consumer's Korea Wave preference. The results showed that with more preference of Korea Wave decrease consumer's perceived risk and increase consumer's perceived benefit. With this research we can find some possibility of motive for consumer's direct investment to Korea Wave project in Korea.

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the relationship between the motivation of Chinese students' reception and its patterns on K-Pop in Korea. As a result of this study there are four categories of motivation on Chinese Students' reception of K-Pop such as 'K-Pop Star's Charisma', 'Mental Relaxation', 'the Liking Principle' and 'Generalized Cultural Proximity'. The factors of 'K-Pop Star's Charisma' and 'Mental Relaxation' affected mostly the amount of reception of K-Pop. The patterns of reception are made by the amount of reception, the activeness of reception and the preference type of reception. In terms of the activeness of reception, the factors of 'K-Pop Star's Charisma' affected mostly the activeness of reception.

  • To obtain the basic information for commercial process and high quality production of Saururus chinensis, the yield and the contents of available component were determined at different compost application amounts and cultural methods. Fresh weight of aerial part was increased by increasing of the compost application amounts. The contents of quercetin, quercitrin and tannin were the highest in the compost 2,000kg/10a. Fresh weight of aerial part at different cutting times was no difference between one harvesting/year and two harvesting/year in S. chinensis. On occasion of two harvesting/year, the contents of component was more collected on July 16 than collected on October 16. Fresh weight of aerial part was less in the field than in the greenhouse culture method, but the contents of quercetin, quercitrin and tannin were more in the field than in the greenhouse culture method.

  • This paper reports a study on physical properties of the traditional adhesives for developing natural adhesives. This is to certify that the superiority of tradition through systematic surveys and experiments as well. We used three kinds of starches differing fermentation time(7 years, 4 years 8 months, and 2 years 8 months) which are fermented from wheat flour starches. The amylose contents, total sugar contents, crystallinity, particle size and shape, viscosity, pH, and adhesive strength were examined. The effect of fermentation time on physical properties of fermented wheat flour were studied. It was found that fermentation time effect various physical properties such as total sugar contents, amylose contents, crystallinity, viscosity, and so on.

  • Colmap is one of the innovative artificial intelligence technologies, highly effective as a tool in 3D reconstruction tasks. Moreover, it excels at constructing intricate 3D models by utilizing images and corresponding metadata. Colmap generates 3D models by merging 2D images, camera position data, depth information, and so on. Through this, it achieves detailed and precise 3D reconstructions, inclusive of objects from the real world. Additionally, Colmap provides rapid processing by leveraging GPUs, allowing for efficient operation even within large data sets. In this paper, we have presented a method of collecting 2D images of traditional Korean towers and reconstructing them into 3D models using Colmap. This study applied this technology in the restoration process of traditional stone towers in South Korea. As a result, we confirmed the potential applicability of Colmap in the field of cultural heritage restoration.

  • Due to the recent population decrease and urban decline, it has become increasingly important to induce qualitative changes in the city itself and create a differentiated development model. Local culture, based on its uniqueness and diversity, generates the expansion and ripple effect of various contents through creative utilization. In this study, we examine a new local content approach called "town-stay (village hotel)" that develops cultural content and creates a place-making in terms of creating a sustainable ecosystem with cultural vitality. While the uniqueness and creativity of individual content can make a region's attractiveness stand out, we have seen in the case of small-sized cities in Korea and Japan that content elements (place, story, people) can be materialized into area-level content called town-stay(village hotel). The local contents are densely presented in a specific area to increase visibility and expand into a variety of content that reveals regional connections. Local creators, who are the core actors, understand locality, induce active activities, and pursue sustainable development that promotes not only economic value but also community solidarity.

  • This study was carried out to investigate the effect of cultural practices on the nicotine and sugar contents in flue-cured tobacco(NC82), and the relationship between them. Significant reduction I sugar content and ratio of total sugar to nicotine(ratio, S/N) were observed with increased fertilizer, lower topping height, late transplanting and decreased application of male hydrazide(MH). Significant increases were observed in nicotine content with increased fertilizer and lower topping height. A positive correlation was found between total sugar content and plant density. A negative correlation was found between nicotine and total sugar contents for 8-years. An increase of 1.0% nicotine in the cured leaf would result in a 4.8% reduction in total sugar. The most desirable contents were 2.7% for nicotine and 19.0% for total sugar(S/N=7).

  • The purpose of this study is to discuss the mythic qualities of television culture. The basic assumption for the study is that to enrich our understanding of television culture in terms of its mythic qualities will be helpful to those who are interested in the production and the studies of television contents in developing their creative ideas. The study discusses the theoretical conceptions of myth and ritual and their applicability to the study of television culture from the multi-disciplinary perspective. So, it deals with significant theoretical works by a number of great contemporary social or cultural thinkers including Carey, Cassirer, Durkheim, van Gennep, Turner, and Eliade. After all, the result of the study identifies three key features of mythic qualities of television culture including 'commonsensicalness,' 'emotionalness,' and 'mediatorialness.'
