In the future, it will be necessary to continue research on the possibility of expanding cultural welfare services for cultural enjoyment to the underprivileged.
This study examined job satisfaction and relevant variables for multi-cultural family home-visiting educators. The selected study subjects were 192 home-visiting educators who work at Multi-Cultural Family Support Centers in the Seoul, Gyeonggi-do, and Chungcheongnam-do areas. Data analysis was conducted using SPSS ver. 18.0. The main results were as follows. First, the job satisfaction level in multi-cultural family visiting educators stood at 3.29 points, subjects' age, averagely monthly income, marital status, and activity career were shown to influence generally upon job satisfaction, self-efficacy, job stress, and cultural competency. Job satisfaction was high in groups with: a high age, small career, low averagely monthly income, and married. Second, self-efficacy and job stress were big in the job satisfaction of multi-cultural family visiting educators. The same outcome as the existing prior research was indicated. Cultural competency was not significant. Third, an examination of relative influence upon job satisfaction in home visiting educators indicated that the explanation power was 29.0%. Significant influential variables included academic background, marital status, self-regulation, and role ambiguity. Self-regulation was greater for those with lower academic backgrounds and unmarried. Job satisfaction was higher in the lower role ambiguity. Thus, the same outcome as the existing prior research was indicated. Cultural competency wasn't indicated to be significant. This has significance in having shown characteristics of job satisfaction in multi-cultural family visiting educators.
All vague and constructions of contemporary cultural environment have been reorganized and the relationship between people and culture can't follow development speed of rapid material civilization development and being informationalized. Because of the circumstances, physical environment is changing into other cultural environment, existence of human being is at a crisis. Physical value precedes mental value and rapid changing causes culture lag. Modernism design of 20th century suggested standard, simplicity and mass production methods, but nowaday, as human being complexity is increasing, information-media are needed to satisfy that. Namely usual design thoughts have to be changed because our life is surrounded by many kinds of powerful media sings and various mixed cultural circumstances. People predict that the characteristics of new ages are 'Immateriality', 'Sensoriality', 'multimedia'. Amongst them, medial spatial characteristics will be eventually remarkable in commercial space which is coincided with economic logic and multilateral culture. This study is a focus on commercial space which emphasis contemporary medial characteristics and observes medial meaning and various technique through some experimental works in Korea. Also this study's purpose is to examine design directions which correspond with contemporary Korea culture.
The article demonstrates a method of studying human health and nutrition by applying a multi-disciplinary approach and examines how humans developed and survived by adjusting to their environment. This process involves physiological, cultural and genetic adaptation both independently and interactively. This study postulates that a sound human health may be the result of balance between nutrition and environmental conditions. It is noted that there is a positive correlation between malaria and fava bean intake, and sickle cell anemia and cassava intake. It is also suggested that the difference in disease structure in soybean and non-soybean consumption cultures can be explained by an ecological approach to studying nutrition. This study further suggest that the relationship between nutrition and socio-cultural system. epidmiological study of nutrition and cultural environment nutrition and conceptual characteristics, nutrition and food intake pattern, nutrition and health sociological functions and the physioloical, cultural and genetic adaptation can all be stimulating research subjects to be studied form and ecological point of view. This article also includes the results from a series of ecological studies conducted by the author investigating the relationship between nutritional status of Korean breast-feeding mothers and the composition of the human milk and also the Vitamin D status of Korean and their lifestyle. This study focused on the determining factors of foreign workers employment in Korean companies. To improve our national enterprise's work outcome, it is necessary to establish a rational employment management policy plan so that the Korea can promote influx of foreign workers who have appropriate job skills and are hard-working and well suited for cultural environment. Accordingly, the companies need to develop the program by considering following. First, the duty of skilled foreign workers for employment is an important determinant factor and thus the targeting for foreign workers is necessary to proceed with pre-paced training. Second, reflecting the cultural characteristics of migrant workers, a cultural adjustment program needs to be developed. In this regard, the national program of screening foreign workers at the government level and the adaptation program needs to be launched suitable for local environment.

This study focused on the Gaya mural tomb located in Goa-ri, Goryeong-gun, North Gyeongsang Province, Republic of Korea. Environmental factors such as ambient temperature, relative humidity and surface temperature, and microbial distribution on mural tombs were monitored for one year to gather data on the conservation environment of the mural tombs. The average internal temperature difference with reference to the ambient outer temperature was observed to be $11.7^{\circ}C$ for the monitoring period and the internal temperature of the tomb was found to change periodically every one or two months in response to the outer temperature. The highest temperature was observed in September and the lowest in March. The relative humidity in the mural tomb remained constant at 100%. Between December and April, condensation occurred on the ceiling of the main room of the tomb, where the murals are located. On the ceiling of the aisle, the condensation occurred throughout the year. The inside and surface wall were isolated from microorganisms, which could grow when a suitable growth environment suitable is established. Based on microbial growth temperature conditions, risk periods of microbial hazards were established, where in the period from August to October was identified as the most dangerous.
In contemporary Korean society, urban community environment is often associated with high-density and high-rise residences that make people's relationships superficial, instrumental and impersonal. Furthermore, urban community consistently interplays with neighboring residents and childhood emotional experience are influential on their unconscious images and attitude about their current neighborhood environment, while affecting the environmental attitude and the formation of community sense. Previous research found evidences that increased level of community sense is fostering more feeling of living in so-called "real neighborhood environment." This study aimed to cross-culturally examine what the respondents' emotional perception and their attitude were about the community environment in their childhood through environmental autobiography method and to examine the effects of the results on adults' formation of sense of community for their current community environment. Extensive literature review explored a few important theoretical framework which are closely related to sense of community (SOC) as a result of emotional experience: membership, influence, integration and fulfillment of needs, shared emotional connection and community satisfaction. Chi-square and GLM analysis revealed that there were no demographic, and socio-economic differences between two groups of Korean and US residents. Correlation analysis indicated that childhood emotional experience of Koreans and US citizens was statistically significant on sense of community for their current living community. Multi-regression analysis also found that the degree of influence were the main predictors for building strong sense of current community throughout a cross-cultural group. Furthermore, the relationship between various emotional experience of each factor in previous and current community environment were statistically significantly related. It is concluded that as the positive childhood experience of influence in their past community was going up, the level of sense of community for their current community was strengthened across their cross-cultural background.

The Asian cultural landscape is a mirrored ecosystem of great complexity, formed by the interaction of man and nature, coupled with a host of ecological processes. The human dependencies on and environmental adaptation of the bio-organisms and the surrounding landscape constitute the typical cultural landscape. Islands are a good example of a cultural landscape, and each mosaic pattern of marine and coastal ecosystems reflects bio-cultural diversity. Along with land-use patterns, wise use of biological organisms and indigenous knowledge has expanded to islands in the Asia-Pacific region in several ways (sea current and human impact, etc.). Loss in biodiversity and landscape diversity as well as cultural diversity owing to global warming and rapid urbanization are emerging issues for island ecosystems all over the world. In order to sustain the historical coexistence between man and natural systems, we ecologists must continue to search for a holistic solution for academic consilience. In this paper, I present the vision and practical characteristics of island ecology with a view toward the conservation of the traditional landscape and bio-cultural diversities in the seascape.
