  • The gender difference in social roles affects digital devices' utilization differences in man and woman even in the 21st Century. Prior studies analyze the digital divide (genders, ages, etc.) from the assessment perspectives of digital equipment, such as PCs. In the area of high speed internet, most functions of PCs have been replaced with smartphones, and around 80% of the mobile phone users adopt smartphones. Subsequently the inequality of physical access to the digital devices is no longer a criterion for digital divide. The focus on digital divide should be shifted from the physical access to other factors, such as socio-technical or socio-cultural ones. This paper examines utilization of women's digital equipment, in particular, preparing for tourism activities, which is popular but sensitive to the technology. A survey was conducted with participants of [Suncheon Garden Expo] 2013. The results of this study capture the inactive use of digital devices particularly women over 50s. This phenomenon (high utilization of the digital devices for social or informative purposes, but low utilization of the digital payment) implies other aspects of Korean women (economic independence, low self-assertion, technical difficulties, etc.), which is considered from the socio-technological convergence perspective. This study also has a practical implication on the side of the digital device developers as well as marketing, where the qualitative communication is likely to be incorporated for the women over 50s.

This will be illustrated by tracing the locals' previous pasturing activities and the management of village common pastures. Cheongsu Village Common Pasture and Jeoji Village Common Pasture in Cheongsu-Jeoji Gotjawal area, which are the study areas, have been actively used by local farmhouses since the establishment of the pastures in 1930's. In particular cattle were significant means for agriculture and transportation methods in 1960's and 1970's. The farmhouses were needed to breed cattle as one of the main economic means. Pasturing cattle on the village common pastures has developed a unique ranching culture. Furthermore, cooperative work of these farmhouses were performed. These include the establishment of ponds for water supply and the preparation of hay. Ranching facilities for pasturing were built on village common pastures and still remain in Gotjawal area. This has been used in the understanding of the locals' lives in the mid-mountain area of Jeju Island.

Specially, the marketing techniques employed by the performing arts industry started to change to respond to consumer tastes and demands like other commodity markets, as the popular performing arts industry began to receive attention as a promising industry. It is important to identify the behavior of consumers in order to actively deal with the demands and tastes of consumers that are becoming increasingly diverse and individualized. The performing arts market needs to recognize the importance of its audience and to apply appropriate marketing techniques. This study attempted to empirically identify the value of performing arts perceived by the audience and to investigate the influence of the relationship between the perceived value, attitude formation and satisfaction with performing arts. In order to examine the influence of the value of performing arts on attitude and customer satisfaction, a reliability analysis and factor analysis were conducted to investigate the dependability and validity of the measured variables. In order to achieve the study's intended purpose, the structural equation model (SEM) was utilized as the core analysis method. As a result, it was found that the perceived value and attitude towards performing arts have a positive effect on customer satisfaction. The results of this study are expected to be used as the basic data for organizations that plan performances to improve their marketing and promotion around the audience and for more specific and detailed research in the future.

  • Most of the Korean performing arts markets are not only small but also show their limitations in terms of their role as a platform for the promotion of performing arts and future growth prospects. This study started from the perception that the domestic performing arts markets need the cooperation between the markets in order to overcome the current situation and become the representative performing arts markets of Asia. To do this, we conducted surveys and in-depth interviews on market collaborations with domestic performing arts officials such as PAMS, Jeju Haevichi Art Festival and G-FAFE. For successful inter-market collaboration, the first is to change ideas and thinking about collaborations, second, to select programs suitable for direct supervision and collaboration based on evaluation of comparative advantage, and third, to establish and operate the 'Performing Arts Market Collaboration Promotion Committee(tentative name)'. And the fourth, starting from the sharing of the network that is most required at this stage, it is necessary to develop the sharing of manpower and places through mutual financial support or sharing between the central government, the metropolitan municipalities.

In this study, an in-depth interview with three double-income couples, totaling 6 parents, with preschool children was conducted on the experience of their flexible work arrangements, and the purposes of the study were to figure out their experienced positive effectiveness and the problems with the difficulty of using the system and to look for their solutions. For the data analysis of the study, it was organized into three high categories and nine low ones by reviewing the entire data on the basis of the frame structured in the derived data through the interview and categorizing the subjects by area. The derived analysis results were changes in households, social and cultural perspectives, and demand for policy and social economic changes. This study is significant in the sense that the perspectives and voice of the actual users of flexible work arrangements have been reflected in the study, and in the future, we expect that it will provide justification and persuasive power for the improvement of flexible work arrangements and serve as basic data for establishing policy directions and support.

  • The concept of ecosystem services is important for the effective management of regional ecological resources. Multiple ecosystem services provided by regional ecosystems are represented as ecosystem service bundles, which define the co-occurrent ecosystem services in a specific region. Bundles provide useful information to identify regional characteristics of ecosystem services and categorize sub-regions with similar patterns of ecosystem service provision. We assessed eleven ecosystem services using modeling approaches and statistical data and produced bundles of cities in Gyeonggi-do.We also conducted principal component analysis and cluster analysis to categorize these cities according to the characteristics of ecosystem services. The results indicated that the cities in Gyeonggi-do were categorized into three groups depending on the types of provision, regulation, and cultural services, and were designated as urbanized, urban-forest, agriculture, or forest cities. These groups were influenced by land use patterns reflecting regional social-environmental features. The results provide useful information for identifying regional ecosystem services and facilitate decision-making in regional ecosystem service management.

  • Since the development of NCS-based curriculum in field of game education is not well studied, so we carried out research on the curriculum development of game contents department of Kimpo University as the first study to link game education and NCS. In order to develop the NCS-based game education course, we analyzed the game industry environment and conducted a demand survey on the game industry officials to derive the vocational basic subjects required for game contents creation. In addition, we analyzed the types of manpower training by using on-site experts (SME). SME also designed the NCS curriculum by matching the manpower type comparing with NCS classification and capacity unit, analyzing the usefulness of each Capacity unit, and finally, by arranging each NCS and non-NCS subjects by semester. This research is meaningful as the first study linking NCS and game content creation, and it will be a reference for other education institutions planning game education course based on NCS. It also can be used as a basic material for researching game education quality management (CQI) as well as improvement methods for future game education courses.

  • In this study, we examined the distribution of dealers and the repair parts management system of a Japanese car manufacturer in the Chinese market in looking at the case of Toyota. We conducted our research by obtaining information from a GAC Toyota dealer about the current distribution of dealers and locations of warehouses throughout China, as well as the status of stocks and the distribution system for repair and maintenance parts. The results of our investigation showed that although GAC Toyota has 437 dealers throughout the country, there is an imbalance in distribution towards the coastal areas, after the population ratios and other measurements are factored in. Therefore, it can be said expansion towards the inland regions, where demand for automobiles has increased in recent years, has been stunted. On the other hand, there is a high correlation between gross GDP by region and the number of stores, and it can be pointed out that the company prioritizes the sale of high-priced vehicles in major coastal areas where the economy is large, rather than selling low-priced vehicles for inland consumers with a relatively small economic scale. The company also has difficulty in securing dealers that can provide sufficient after-sales service. According to the regulations of GAC Toyota, the company require dealers to have at least 1,500 repair and maintenance parts in stock. Also, when exchanging maintenance parts, GAC Toyota's emphasis is on increasing customer satisfaction by giving sufficient explanations for customers and obtaining consent from them. As a result, the company's dealers need financial resources to continue their business from a long-term perspective. However, it can be pointed out that such dealers are limited, and it is difficult to distribute profits among manufacturers and dealers.
