Building Information Modeling (BIM) models are a powerful tool for preserving and using architectural history. Manually creating information models for such a significant number and variety of architectural monuments as Dong drum towers is challenging. The building logic based on "actual measurement construction" was investigated using the metamodel idea, and a metamodel-based automated modeling approach for the wood framework of Dong drum towers was presented utilizing programmable algorithms. Metamodels of fundamental frame kinds were also constructed. Case studies were used to verify the automated modeling's correctness, completeness, and efficiency using metamodel. The results suggest that, compared to manual modeling, automated modeling using metamodel may enhance the model's integrity and correctness by 5-10% while also reducing time efficiency by 10-20%. Metamodel and construction logic offer a novel way to investigate data-driven autonomous information-based modeling.

Age determination was carried out with the bricks relating to Muryong Royal Tomb of the Baekje Kingdom, for which there is no information on the external gamma dose rate, by using the subtraction method of luminescence dating. In the subtraction method, each paleodose for fine grain and for quartz inclusion is required for the sample to be dated. In this study, the paleodose for the fine grain was estimated by thermoluminescence measurement and the paleodose for the quartz inclusion was determined using optically stimulated luminescence. The resultant ages among the bricks showed good agreement with standard deviation of 6 % error. Finally the bricks relating to Muryong Royal Tomb were evaluated as AD $530{\pm}50yrs$($1{\sigma}$ SD).
The formaldehyde is damage to the metal are known universally. However, the quantification of the damage level and degree of damage is not clear. This study was conducted to test the following steps using a gas corrosion tester, and then evaluated by the optical, chemical and physical measurement. First, it was confirmed the damage level of the metal specimen(silver, copper, iron, lead, brass) by the formaldehyde(0.5, 1, 10, 100, 500ppm). Second, weighted damage to the metal specimens were tested according to the temperature and humidity conditions under damage levels. Third, the damage of accelerated degradation metal specimens were examined under damage levles. As a result, at 500ppm / day, the optical, chemical and physical damage of lead have been identified, the optical damage of all metals are was observed. The optical damage of some specimens were weighted in $25^{\circ}C-50%$, $30^{\circ}C-50%$. Chemical damage to the lead specimen is 2.8 times, 1.3 times were weighted in $30^{\circ}C-80%$, $25^{\circ}C-80%$. Referring to formate ion concentration of the accelerated degradation metal, corrosion products of iron and brass were actived the reaction of the formaldehyde gas, oxide film of lead was blocked the reaction of formaldehyde gas.

This research has analyzed SI, the traditional steel, and SIHS(SI + HS), SICS(SI + CS), and SINiS(SI + NiS), the materials that were produced through welding and reprocessing three modern steel- HS, CS, and NiS- that have different carbon content. The purpose of the analyzation was to improve the definition of the multi-layered pattern that appears in the forging process. In observing modified structures on the commissures of three modern steel that have different carbon component to the SI, SINiS produced the most significant multi-layered pattern as well as the excellent welding quality. The excellent welding quality was due to the content of nickel which helped the forge welding process with other materials. There was no significant difference in crystal grain per materials, and SICS showed the highest hardness. At the measurement of EPMA for commissures of the materials, SINiS showed the highest definition of the multi-layered pattern due to the nickel and carbon content. The results above showed that the carbon steel with nickel content is the best material for the most definite multi-layered pattern, expressed from the multi-layered structure which is a characteristic of traditional forge welding technology. It is expected that the result of this research can be utilized as the technical data in further researches regarding the relics excavated from ancient welding process and their multi-layered structure and patterns.
In 2013~2016, gilt-bronze shoes were excavated from the ancient tombs in Jeongchon Village located at Bogam-ri, Dasi-myeon in Naju. They are estimated to have been made in the late 5th or early 6th centuries. The gilt-bronze shoes are significant in that they serve to explicate the relationship between the center of Baekje and the local forces in the Yeongsan River Basin. This study's specific focus was the gilt-bronze shoes from the ancient tombs in Jeongchon Village. Based on the findings, a restoration drawing was designed and restored products were manufactured by considering metalwork techniques used to manufacture the original ones. At first, manufacturing techniques were tested by using a scientific analysis and visual observation. The manufacturing method, structures, and patterns of the gilt-bronze shoes were closely examined. Then, a design drawing of gilt-bronze shoes was created through field measurement and they were recreated on the basis of the analysis. The original form of the restored products were manufactured through cutting out the outward form, bore carving, engraving, molding, plating, and an assembly process. In the restoration process, this study examined the formal characteristics of gilt-bronze shoes, manufacturing techniques, and archetypes during Baekje's late Hanseong era. Products restored from this study are expected to be used as achievements for more easily understanding the culture of Baekje.
This study investigated material characteristics of composition and variable strength measurement using physicochemical and petrographic analysis for lime-soil mixture barrier tombs of Guri Galmae site in Joseon Dynasty. The tomb barriers are composed mainly of microcrystalline calcite, quartz, feldspar and mica with lime matrix. The lime matrix shows compact sheet texture, and some samples show hydration aggregates with needle-shaped textures. Gypsum occurred as a secondary process where carbonization reactions were poor. Concentrations of CaO in the tomb barrier very widely ranged from 4.43 to 36.19 wt.%, specific gravity and absorption ratio of the materials show of 1.35 to 1.62 and 20.1 to 32.6%, respectively. As the rebound hardness, the materials ranged from 10.0 to 28.4 (mean 15.7). The values are higher in the $-90^{\circ}$ direction rather than in the $0^{\circ}$ direction with the consequence that the values indicate more strength toward the vertical direction. Difference in strength by directions was caused by the directions of the tomb barriers, which is related to the processes in each stage. In the tomb barriers, ultrasonic velocity and unconfined compressive strength ranged from 1,049.2 to 1,728.9m/s and under 5.00MPa, respectively. Variation patterns between the two are very similar in values. As the result of composition and strength, the materials of higher contents on CaO are higher in strength values. Generally, techniques and skills to make the lime-soil mixture barriers are interpreted as low qualities in relatively.
The tomb complex of the royal family from the period of the Ungjin Baekje Kingdom (475 to 538 AD) in Gongju, Korea, contains the tomb of King Muryeong and other royal tombs. After the excavation of the tomb of King Muryeong in 1971, these tombs were opened up to the public, without the establishment of systems for their safety, conservation and management. The tombs have consequently experienced rapid environmental changes and suffered various damages. In this study, specific vulnerable parts inside the tombs were selected for deviation analysis using 3D scanning, and 3D image models were constructed on this basis. Progressive displacement was identified in tomb No. 5, and basic data for future investigations was acquired from tomb No. 6 and the tomb of King Muryeong. In the deviation analysis for the southern plastered wall of tomb No. 5, the damage was not found to exceed the ranges of ±18 mm and ±2 mm. However, the lintel stone was found to be sagging by 0.32 mm on average, and the distance between the walls to have increased by 0.36 mm on average. Direct water seepage occurring in tomb No. 5 is considered to be increasing the damage within the tomb, such as the dropping and sagging of the lintel. The 3D image models constructed in this study will play an important role as baseline data for future research, and can be used to discuss a secure conservation scheme for the tombs through cross-validation with precise measurement monitoring.
Temperature and humidity data collection using real-time sensors and data loggers was conducted for integrated pest management in the collection storage and exhibition space of the Jeongnimsaji Museum, Buyeo. The real-time temperature and humidity monitoring system collected measurement data every 30 minutes and enabled real-time confirmation of the data through a linked application. If the temperature and humidity data measured in the real-time temperature and humidity monitoring system exceeds the set range, a push notification was sent to the mobile phone of the person in charge to provide status information to establish a continuous management system. Through this, it was possible to immediately recognize and take action when the temperature range exceeded the recommended relic temperature in August. We performed data visualization on the concentration of airborne fungus in the storage area and the inflow path and density of insects. Based on the recommended criteria presented by the National Institute of Cultural Heritage, The data on the spatial and temporal concentration of airborne fungus inside the collection storage were found to be maintained at a value below the standard recommended by the National Institute of Cultural Heritage (80 CFU/m3). Also, as a result of the insect inflow survey, no insects were captured inside the storage area, and in the case of the exhibition space, insects such as Scutigera coleoptrata, Loxoblemmus arietulus, Diestrammena asynamora, Koreoniscus racovitzai were captured. Based on this, as a result of visualization according to the individual density of captured insects by area, it was confirmed that the main inflow paths of insects were the external entrance and the toilet area.
This study proposes a new scientific measurement method for damaged epigraph. In this new method, the Chinese characters are converted and coordinates are created for this measurement. This method is then used to decipher partially damaged characters from the parts of the coordinated characters that are damaged and intact. The Chinese characters are divided into 9 square parts by the position of their Chinese Radicals. The unknown characters are then compared and deciphered dependent upon the character shape in 9 square parts that have been created. This method is more scientific, accurate, and makes it easier to find related characters than deciphering through contexts, which is current method. When creating a new software based on this algorithm, it will be especially useful in deciphering an old manuscript or a epigraph that made ancient Chinese characters which are not currently in use. This study will also be helpful in deciphering semi-cursive styled or cursive styled epigraph, as well as semi-cursive styled or cursive styled damaged characters during follow-up research.

With the development of technology, the methods of digitally converting various forms of analog information have become common. As a result, the concept of recording, building, and reproducing data in a virtual space, such as digital heritage and digital reconstruction, has been actively used in the preservation and research of various cultural heritages. However, there are few existing research results that suggest optimal scanners for small and medium-sized relics. In addition, scanner prices are not cheap for researchers to use, so there are not many related studies. The 3D scanner specifications have a great influence on the quality of the 3D model. In particular, since the state of light reflected on the surface of the object varies depending on the type of light source used in the scanner, using a scanner suitable for the characteristics of the object is the way to increase the efficiency of the work. Therefore, this paper conducted a study on nine small and medium-sized buried cultural properties of various materials, including earthenware and porcelain, by period, to examine the differences in quality of the four types of 3D scanners. As a result of the study, optical scanners and small and medium-sized object scanners were the most suitable digital records of the small and medium-sized relics. Optical scanners are excellent in both mesh and texture but have the disadvantage of being very expensive and not portable. The handheld method had the advantage of excellent portability and speed. When considering the results compared to the price, the small and medium-sized object scanner was the best. It was the photo room measurement that was able to obtain the 3D model at the lowest cost. 3D scanning technology can be largely used to produce digital drawings of relics, restore and duplicate cultural properties, and build databases. This study is meaningful in that it contributed to the use of scanners most suitable for buried cultural properties by material and period for the active use of 3D scanning technology in cultural heritage.
