창조도시와 창조계급: 개념적 논제들과 비판 (Creative City and Creative Class: Conceptual Issues and Critiques)

  • 창조도시 이론은 기본적으로 탈산업화 과정 속에서 '문화적 전환'에 따른 경제환경의 변화와 사회공간적 재구성간 관계를 반영한 이론이다. 이 논문은 우선 창조도시 이론의 발달 배경으로서 지식기반경제 또는 문화경제의 접근방법들을 고찰하고, 창조도시의 개념화에서 구분되는 유형들을 제시한다. 그리고 이 논문은 이러한 창조도시 이론을 직접 논의한 국내외 연구 동향에서 비판적 관점들을 정리하고, 이의 함의를 신자유주의와 관련시켜 비판적으로 고찰하고자 한다. 끝으로 이 논문은 창조성 또는 창조경제의 사회적 구성으로서 창조계급과 공간적 구성으로서 창조도시에 관한 개념적 논제들을 비판적으로 논의한다. 창조계급의 개념은 '계급' 개념과 범위의 모호성, 계급-편향성과 경제 특권적 사고, 상품화 또는 시장 가치화의 촉진, 탈공동체적 개체화, 유연적 노동시장의 규범화, 도시 경제의 성공 여부에 대한 불확실성 등의 문제 또는 한계를 가지는 것으로 지적된다. 창조도시의 개념은 (대)도시에 한정된 관심, 국가적 및 지구적 차원 무시, 탈맥락적 규범적 전망, 신자유주의적 도시의 정당화, 창조계급 유치 및 경제 발전과의 인과성 입증 부족, 도시 및 국토 공간의 양극화 심화 등의 문제 또는 한계를 가지는 것으로 지적된다.

리뷰어의 문화적 배경, 부정적 감정표현, 그리고 리뷰유용성: 인상관리 이론을 중심으로 (Cultural Backgrounds of Reviewers, Negative Emotions, and Review Helpulness: Based on Impression Management Theory)

  • 온라인 소비자 리뷰는 만족과 불만족 측면에서 고객 측면의 다양한 정보를 제공한다. 부정적 감정표현은 리뷰 유용성의 잠재적 선행요인이면서, 동시에 잠재 소비자의 태도와 의사결정에도 영향을 미칠 수 있다. 또한, 국가문화는 개인이 세상을 바라보고 행동하는 관점을 제공하기 때문에, 부정적 감정표현은 문화에 따라 차이가 발생할 가능성이 크다. 본 연구는 국가문화와 부정적 감정표현 간의 관계를 인상관리 이론을 기반으로 탐색하고 궁극적으로 리뷰 유용성에 미치는 영향을 분석하고자 한다. 실증분석을 위해 서울에 위치한 140개 호텔의 리뷰 16,076개를 수집하여 PLS-SEM 방법으로 분석하였다. 분석결과, 권력거리와 남성성 문화 차원은 리뷰어의 부정적 감정표현에 긍정적인 영향을 미쳤으며, 불확실성회피 및 장기지향은 부정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 분석되었다. 또한, 부정적 감정표현은 리뷰 평점을 통제한 상황에서도 리뷰 유용성에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 분석되었다.

한국 정부-국민 간 정책소통지수개발 연구: 정책유형별 비교를 중심으로 (A Study on the Development of Policy Communication Index between Korean Government and People: Focused on the Comparison of Policy Types)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 한국 정부-국민 간 정책소통지수를 개발하고 정책 유형별 정책소통지수의적용을 통해 정책소통의 차원과 중요성을 평가하는데 있다. 대화커뮤니케이션을 이론적배경으로 하여 한국 정부-국민 간 정책소통지수를 개발하기 위해 2단계를 거쳐 지수를 정화하고 신뢰도와 타당도를 확보했다. 1단계에서는 문헌연구와 전문가 심층인터뷰를 거쳐서 정책소통구성요소를 도출하였고, 2단계에서는 일반인을 대상으로 한 서베이를 실시하여 확인적 요인분석과 구조방정식 모형분석을 통해 신뢰도와 타당도를 확보하였다. 최종 확정된 정책소통지수는 상호성과 개방성의 2개 차원을 지니며 상호성은 6개의 하위차원, 개방성은 3개의 하위차원을 지닌것으로 나타났다. 정책소통지수의 상호성과 개방성 차원은 정책유형별로 다르게 나타났는데 분배정책인 문화정책 소통에 있어서는 상호성 차원이 강하게 나타난 반면 재분배정책인 교육정책소통에 있어서는 개방성 차원이 중요한 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구는 정부조직과 국민간의 대화커뮤니케이션에 초점을 맞추어 정책소통지수를 개발하고 정책유형별로 정책소통지수의 영향력을검증한 실증 연구로서 의미를 지니며, 정책소통의 차원을 이해함으로써 전략적 정책홍보에 적용가능성을 제시한데 실무적 함의가 있다.

협동학습(Cooperative Learning)을 적용한 보건교육 수업에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Comprehensive Approach to Health Education: Cooperative Learning)

  • Recently, the educational community has attempted to implement the theory of multiple intelligences. In approaching multiple intelligences, teachers have applied the same structural approach which has been so successful with cooperative learning. Cooperative learning is easy to learn and implement, fun for teachers and students, and produce profoundly positive outcomes along a remarkable number of dimensions. Different structures are designed for different outcomes, including enhanced mastery of subject matter, improved thinking skills, team building, class building, development of social character and social skills, communication skills, classroom management, classroom discipline, and development of and engagement of each of the multiple intelligences. Cooperative learning is becoming an increasingly popular teaching strategy. In this study, it is aimed to clarify the application of cooperative learning in health education. Cooperative Learning in health education enhances student learning by: 1) providing a shared cognitive set of information between students, 2) motivating students to learn the material, 3) ensuring that students construct their own health knowledge, 4) providing formative feedback, 5) developing social and health group skills necessary for success outside the classroom, and 6) promoting positive interaction between members of different cultural and socio-economic groups. Cooperative Learning structures and techniques in health education are following. Flash Card, Focused Listing, Structured Problem-solving, Paired Annotations, Structured Learning Team Group Roles, Send-A-Problem, Value Line, Uncommon Commonalities, Team Expectations, Double Entry Journal, Guided Reciprocal Peer Questioning, What if. Because the purpose of health education is the practice, therefore health specialists have to guide powerful and effective teaching method The application of cooperative learning in health education may improve its effectiveness.

결혼지속연수에 따른 한국 부부의 사랑구조의 변화 양상 (Changing patterns of marital love constructs among married men and women)

  • This study attempted to examine the changing patterns of marital love constructs among married men and women in Korea. It is based on our prior research that showed each of the 3 dimensions of marital love(intimacy, passion, and commitment derived from Stermberg’s Triangular Theory of Love) shaped U pattern as the marriage continued. We analyzed 1687 respondents’answers by principal axis factoring with contextual point of view including individual, familial, and socio-cultural development. The results are as follows. First, the love constructs of Korean men and women in their marriage show different qualitative patterns as the marriage continued. Second, intimacy is the most powerful indicator of love, coming out the first factor in all the stages of marital relationships. Third we can see marital stability from the locus of commitment with other components of love and it could be apply to marital educational program for promoting marital stability. Forth, passion is found separated behavioral from perceived dimension except the first marital stage. As conclusion, it need to analyze with family life cycle. birth and marriage cohort groups for examining closely the causes of this qualitative changes in marital relationships.

역사문화거리 빈집의 장소성에 관한 연구 -중국 항저우 중산로를 중심으로- (A Study on the Placeness of Vacant Houses in the Street of Historical Culture - Focused on HangZhou Zhongshan Road -)

  • 도시의 문화유산이 가장 집중된 역사문화거리의 중심가에 비해 주변 거리의 발전은 점차 쇠퇴하는 상황을 보이고 있으며 장소성 역시 상실되고 있다. 이로 인해 많은 빈집이 발생함에 따라 역사문화지구 내 빈집에 대한 관심과 대책이 매우 시급한 상황이다. 본 연구는 중국 항저우 중산로의 빈집을 연구대상으로 삼아 장소성 이론 및 Matthew Carmona의 도시 설계의 6가지(사회적, 지각적, 기능적, 형태적, 시각적, 시간적) 차원을 적용해 이해하고, 항저우 중산로에 있는 다른 빈집의 활용 방향과 근거를 제시하기 위해서 역사문화거리에 있는 빈집의 장소성 평가 요소를 추가로 분석하였다. 연구분석 방법으로는 AHP 계층분석법을 활용하여 각 평가요소(6차원의 12가지)의 중요도를 도출하였으며, 전문가의 평가결과와 사례의 분석결과를 비교분석하였다. 연구성과는 다음과 같다. 역사문화거리의 빈집 활용의 장소성의 평가 결과, 12가지 평가 요소에는 안전성, 동일성, 사용성, 개별성, 심미성, 연계성, 다양성, 개방성, 연속성, 접근성, 질서성, 역사성이 차례대로 고려되어야 한다고 도출되었다.

Development of a campus-based intervention program to strengthen food literacy among university students: A qualitative formative study

  • Objectives: This study aimed to develop a campus-based intervention program to enhance food literacy (FL) among university students. Methods: In the initial phase, we conducted a literature review of FL intervention studies and held in-depth interviews with university students to identify facilitators and barriers to improving and practicing FL. Expert counseling sessions were conducted with nutrition education, marketing, and service design professionals. The results of this phase led to the creation of an initial curriculum draft. In the second phase, a follow-up survey was conducted with young adults to assess the acceptability of the developed curriculum. After the follow-up survey, additional meetings were conducted with the aforementioned experts, and the curriculum was further refined based on their input. Results: An 11-week FL intervention program was devised using constructs from the Social Cognitive Theory. The weekly curriculum consisted of 90-min theory-based and 90-min hands-on experience sessions. Three primary aspects of FL were covered: nutrition and food safety, cultural and relational dimensions, and socio-ecological aspects. Program highlights included cooking sessions for crafting traditional Korean desserts, lectures on animal welfare, insights into zero-waste practices, and communal eating experiences. Based on the study team's previous research, the program also addressed mindful eating, helping participants understand the relationship with their eating habits, and providing strategies to manage negative emotions without resorting to food. Yoga sessions and local farm visits were incorporated into the curriculum to promote holistic well-being. Conclusions: This study elucidated the comprehensive process of creating a campus-based curriculum to enhance FL among university students, a group particularly susceptible to problematic eating behaviors and low FL levels. The developed program can serve as a blueprint for adaptation to other campuses seeking to bolster students' FL.

인터넷을 이용한 선원의 여가 활동이 선박 내 문화에 미치는 영향 (Influence of Seafarers' Leisure Activities Using the Internet on Shipboard Culture)

  • 선원 직업에 대한 매력도와 선원 복지를 향상시키기 위한 방안 중 하나로 선내 인터넷 서비스 제공이 주목받고 있다. 본 연구의 목적은 승선 중 인터넷을 이용한 선원의 여가 활동이 선박 내 문화에 미치는 영향에 관해 연구하는 데 있다. 이를 위해 Hofstede 문화차원론을 기반으로 선박 내 문화를 조사하고, 선원의 인터넷 여가 활동과 선박 내 문화에 관하여 선원을 대상으로 실증분석을 실시하였다. 그 결과승선 중 인터넷을 통한 사회적 교류 활동이 권력거리, 불확실성 회피, 장기지향성에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 선박 내 문화를 조사한 결과 불확실성 회피 문화, 남성성 문화, 장기지향성 추구 문화, 낮은 권력거리 문화, 그리고 개인주의 문화가 존재하는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 선원의 특성에 따른 선박 내 문화를 분석한 결과 선원의 특성에 따라 일부 선박 내 문화에도 유의한 차이가 발견되었다.

Do good return policies work across cultures? Effect of lenient return policies on online shopper perceptions in Eastern culture

  • While good return policies are suggested as one of the critical services for e-commerce, ambivalence between the burden of the cost and shoppers' satisfaction may prevent e-tailers from increasing their level of leniency. Based on the S-O-R model, this study has attempted to develop a grounded theory to explain how lenient return policies shape online shoppers' perceptions and responses, with a focus on cultural influences in the relationship. In order to check the cultural effects of the lenient return policy, thirty two female and eleven male undergraduate students in South Korean shoppers, who are accustomed to strict return policies, participated in the semi-structured interview. A series of open-ended questions were designed to explore consumers' reactions toward four different levels of the lenient return policy: from the strict type in South Korea to the lenient type in the U.S. Using qualitative research methods, this research has defined three types of dimensions of lenient return policy: return possible period, complexity of progress, and other restrictions. While previous researchers did not pay much attention, the last dimension, other restrictions, is shown to be the most significant in influencing online shoppers' perceptions, especially in South Korea. Also, the impacts on online shoppers' perceptions from the three types of sub-dimensions of return policy were somewhat different. Whereas a longer return possible period was considered more favorable, a medium level of complexity and restrictions were considered more desirable. In summary, this result showed that shoppers in Eastern cultures, i.e. South Korean online shoppers, seem favorable to a medium level of lenient return policies, while allowing for taking precautions against possible fraudulent behaviors and setting other restrictions. Therefore, most of retailers in South Korea recommended that e-tailers who adopt the most lenient return policies raise the bar to guard ethical shoppers from fraudulent users. Next, lenient return policies can enhance ease of use, usefulness, affect, and trust while relieving perceived risk, which is connected to intention to purchase, satisfaction, and loyalty. Interestingly, lenient return policies are more likely to change the behavioral responses of online shoppers, such as return and purchase, rather than change their attitudes or beliefs such as image, satisfaction, and loyalty. This tendency can be seen more clearly in the direct influences of return policy on responses. The reaction to lenient return policy is mostly the intention to return or to purchase. This suggests that return policy serves the e-tailers as a powerful tool in increasing online shoppers' purchase intention at the moment of purchase. Therefore, e-tailers who plan to expand their market to eastern countries, including South Korea, have to build a shield of restrictions around their lenient return policy, rather than immediately applying their original liberalized return policy. Also, e-tailers in South Korea need to review their strict and undifferentiated return policies to deal with the unsatisfied reactions of online shoppers toward their normal return policies. Although the present study was confined to the return policies currently being practiced by popular e-tailers, it would be worthwhile to develop effective return policies separately for each country, especially South Korea, keeping the culture of the relevant country in mind.

과학과 상상력의 중첩성 (The superposition of Science and Imagination)

  • Gaston Bachelard had a revolutionary progress in the field of human understanding by proposing his theory of image and imagination. His theory of the new image was so powerful, almost all areas of human science, particularly that of literary criticism, were strongly influenced and this influence continues until today. Today almost everyone accepts his theory of the image without much objection, but not rarely asked where began his transfer from the philosophy of science to the images. We propose a hypothesis that the beginning of the new concept of Bachelard's image was inspired by studies of contemporary science, especially quantum mechanics. The Heisenberg's uncertainty principle was the core of quantum mechanics, and opens new perspectives on the material world. We could summarize the message of the uncertainty principle : the material world is made up of various layers, and the material can not be measured by the location and movement at the same time. So we must have a new point of view of another dimension to know this material world. Bachelard had accepted this view of Heisenberg and developed his own theory of epistemological rupture. What is revolutionary in the theory of Bachelard's image is the fact that he looked at the images with the new perspective. The human psyche is another world compared to the rational world that dominates our daily lives. Bachelard insists that the image can not be explained by the concept. The fantasy world is a totally different world to that of rationality. That is why it can not be explained by the language of rationality as the concept. The imaginary world exists independently of the real world, but it is superimposed on the real world. These two worlds are influencing each other, and it is between these two world where our daily lives continues. The declaration of Bachelard 'image is a specific reality' is never a metaphor or rhetorical expression. This is an ontological expression that must truthfully. The imaginary world is a world built on the image and it works according to its own law. It is not a representation or copy of the real world. But the world of imagination are not alone. It exists in the same time and space with the world of science. It is superimposed with the world of science. Both two world influence each other. Bachelard has made a revolutionary change by studying the images. He gave them their own place. It has changed the views on the images that were treated as mere representations of reality. Thanks to him, the image can have its own value, that of a factor that creates reality. Bachelard shows how we can go deep into the source of being and the universe if we look at the pictures with the eyes of other dimensions.
