한국인의 상악중절치 위치 및 길이에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Position and Length of the Maxillary Central Incisor in Koreans)

  • The arrangement of anterior artificial teeth is an important factor on the esthetics in the construction of complete dentures and prostheses. During construction of the complete denture the position of maxillary central incisor plays an important role in the arrangements of artificial teeth. The proper position of maxillary central incisor provides natural appearance of anterior teeth and the anterior reference point of occlusal plane. Many methods have been utilized to eatablish the position of the maxillary central incisor in complete denture prosthodontics. However, there has not been provided for the reference for Korean yet. This study was aimed to extablish a guide for the position of the maxillary central inciosr in Koreans. The horizontal and vertical distance between the maxillary central incisor and incisive papilla in Koreans were measured. 1. The mean value of horizontal distance from the maxillary central incisor to the incisive papilla had significant sexual difference, The average distance was 12.648mm in male and 11.385mm in female. 2. The horizontal distance of the incisive papilla had sexual difference, the average distance was 6.182mm in male and 5.622mm in female. 3. The vertical distance from the maxillary central incisor to the incisive papilla had not sexual difference, the average distance was 7.21mm. 4. The crown length of the maxillary central inciosrs from the distal interdental papilla had not sexual difference, the right central incisor was 6.40mm(mean) and the left central inciosr was 6.43mm(mean). 5. The clinical crown length of the maxillary central incisors had not sexual difference, the right central incisor 10.35mm(mean) and the left central incisor was 10.43mm(mean). 6. The shapes of the incisive papilla were pear(68.4%), oval(16%), triangular(6%), irregular(5%), rectangular(4%), and inverted pear(1%) shape.

한우 대퇴골의 연골내골화에 관한 조직화학적 연구 (Histochemical study on the endochondral ossification of the native Korean cattle femur)

  • The present study was undertaken to provide basic data on fetal endochondral ossification for the native Korean cattle femur. This study was determined to the both earliest stages of chondrification and ossification by histochemical methods. The forty-five pairs of femur, from a series of embryos and fetuses ranging from 11 to 100mm in crown-rump(C-R) length, were used. These samples were divided into 9 groups. The groupings were based on C-R length, as the first grouping being 11~20mm, the second grouping being 21~30mm and so on. The results were as follows: 1. Alcianophility and PAS reaction were markedly increased in the perichondrium and interterritorial matrix in the 3rd group(C-R length 31~40mm). These reactions were decreased in the territorial matrix and in the adjacent area to the cartilage canal in the 5th group(C-R length 51~60mm). 2. Calcium deposits and collagen substances were observed initially in the 3rd group(C-R length 31~40mm). The calcium deposits and calcified cores were observed in the trabeculae of the proximal epiphyseal plate of the femur in the 8th group(C-R length 81~90mm).

Calonectria ilicicola의 감염에 대한 콩 식물체 나이가 미치는 영향 (Effect of Plant Age on Infection of Soybean by Calonectria ilicicola)

  • A series of greenhouse test was conducted to evaluate infection of Calonectria ilicicola on soybean plants of different ages at time of inoculation. Lesion length and number of perithecia were determined on cultivars Braxton, Deltapine 726, and Riverside 699 that were 10∼40 days old and 4-10 days old at time of inoculation. Quadratic and linear relationships were described between plant age at inoculation and lesion length or perithecia production in greenhouse studies. Soybean seedlings exhibited low susceptibility to C. ilicicola regardless of cultivar susceptibility. On 8- or 1-0-days-old Braxton, lesion lenght and perithecia numbers were reduced. Lesion lengths were longest on plants 30 days old whereas perithecia production was greatest on plants 20∼30 days old at time of inoculation. Differences in lesion length and perithecia production that were observed on young plants (4∼10 days old) were similar to relative levels of susceptibility in soybean cultivars in greenhouse and field tests, suggesting that reaction to C. ilicicola in soybean cultivars may be determined early in plant development.

하악 구치 단일임플란트 수복에서 임플란트 길이에 따른 치관-임플란트 비율이 임플란트안정성 및 변연골소실에 주는 영향 (Influence of crown-to-implant ratio of short vs long implants on implant stability and marginal bone loss in the mandibular single molar implant)

  • 목적: 이 연구의 목적은 임플란트의 길이 및 치관-임플란트 비율(crown-to-implant (C/I) ratio)이 임플란트의 안정성과 임플란트 변연골 소실량(MBL)에 영향을 주는지 알아보기 위함이다. 연구 재료 및 방법: 연구대상자로 하악 구치부에 단일치를 상실한 46명의 환자를 선별하였다. 대조군에는 총 19개의 직경 5.0 mm, 길이 10 mm의 임플란트(CMI IS-III $active^{(R)}$ long implant)를 식립하였고, 실험군에는 직경 5.5 mm, 길이 6.6, 7.3, 8.5 mm의 임플란트 총 27개(CMI IS-III $active^{(R)}$ short implant)를 식립하였다. 각각의 임플란트는 디지털 방식으로 술 전 제작한 수술가이드를 사용하여 식립하였고 임시보철물을 장착하여 즉시부하를 시행하였다. 술 후 3개월에 CAD-CAM 방식으로 제작한 지르코니아 크라운으로 최종 수복하였다. 술 후 48주에 ISQ 값과 변연골 소실량을 측정하여 치관-임플란트 비율과 ISQ 및 변연골 소실량 간의 상관관계를 비교하였다. 결과: 두 그룹 모두 안정도 및 변연골 소실량 면에서 성공적인 결과를 나타내었다. 술 후 48주에 측정한 두 그룹간 ISQ와 변연골 소실량 값은 통계적으로 유의미한 차이가 없었다(P > 0.05). 치관-임플란트 비율과 안정성 및 치관-임플란트 비율과 변연골 소실량 간에 어떤 상관관계도 관찰되지 않았다(P > 0.05). 결론: 두 그룹의 하악 단일 임플란트에서 치관-임플란트 비율은 안정성 및 변연골 소실량에 영향을 주지 않는 것으로 나타났다. 골높이가 부족한 하악에서 단일 임플란트 수복 시, 짧은 임플란트는 상대적으로 높은 치관-임플란트 비율에도 불구하고 제한된 조건 하에서 적절한 대안이 될 수 있다.

천단 및 막장면 수평보강에 의한 토사터널 보강효과 - 실대형실험 (Reinforcing Effects around Face of Soil-Tunnel by Crown & Face-Reinforcing - Large Scale Model Testing)

  • NATM 터널의 갱구부와 갱내의 연약층 구간에는 굴착 보조공법으로 대부분 강관이나 유리섬유보강(Fiber-glass Reinforced Plastic)관에 의한 그라우팅공법이 적용되고 있다. RPUM이나 UAM으로 알려져 있는 이러한 공법으로 굴착전 막장면 천단을 선보강하여 굴착 시 주변지반의 안정을 확보할 수 있다. 특히 지반이 연약하여 자립이 어려운 경우 최근에는 막장면 천단 뿐 아니라 막장면 수평보강을 실시하여 터널 및 주변지반의 안정성을 확보하는 추세에 있다. 이러한 막장면 천단 및 수평보강 형태에 따른 보강효과는 현재 일부 수치해석적 방법과 실내 축소모형실험에 의해 연구된 바 있으나, 이러한 연구들은 복잡한 경계조건을 필요로 할 뿐 아니라 실제 터널굴착 및 보강단계를 적절히 모사할 수 없는 단점이 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 실제 RPUM시공을 재현하는 실대형 모형실험을 행하였다. 본 실험은 대형 토조를 제작하고 단계별 굴착과 상재하중을 재하하여 사질토지반 내 터널 천단보강 및 막장면 수평보강형태(무보강, 천단보강, 천단보강+막장면 수평보강, 막장면 수평보강)에 따른 막장면 주변지반 보강효과를 살펴보았다. 실험결과, 막장면 수평보강만으로도 주변지반 침하와 터널 반경방향 변위에 대한 상당한 억제효과를 확인할 수 있었다. 굴진방향과 평행한 종방향의 연직응력 변화를 측정한 결과 막장면 전방 $0.5D{\sim}1.0D$ 지반에 응력이 집중되어 막장면 선행보강의 필요성이 입증되었다. 천단보강재인 FRP관의 축력과 휨모멘트를 측정한 결과 대부분이 막장면으로부터 0.75D 위치에서 최대값이 측정되어 천단보강재 최소길이는 1.0D이상이 되어야 할 것이다. catalase와 peroxidase는 SOD나 APX는 달리 단일 밴드 또는 주요 밴드가 있고 높은 활성을 보여 정제시 유리하게 작용할 것으로 보인다. prospects will be also discussed.behaviors to ferromagnetic behavior was observed. Tunneling barrier called "decay length for tunneling" for the films having the thickness of Co layer from 1.4 to 1.6 nm was measured to be ranged from 0.004 to 0.021 ${\AA}$$\^$-1/.문에 기업간 관계를 연구하는 측면에서는 탐험적 연구성격이 강하다. 더 나아가 본 산업의 주된 연구가 질적이고 기업내부만을 연구했던 것에 비교하면 시초적이라고 할 수 있다. 또한 관계마케팅, CRM 등의 이론적 배경이 되고 있는 신뢰와 결속의 중요성이 재확인하는 결과도 의의라고 할 수 있다. 그리고 신뢰는 양사 간의 상호관계에서 조성될 수 있는 특성을 가진 반면, 결속은 계약관계 초기단계에서 성문화하고 규정화 할 수 있는 변수의 성격이 강하다고 할 수가 있다. 본 연구는 복잡한 기업간 관계를 지나치게 협력적 측면에서만 규명했기 때문에 많은 측면을 간과할 가능성이 있다. 또한 방법론적으로 일방향의 시각만을 고려했고, 횡단적 조사를 통하고 국내의 한 서비스제공업체와 관련이 있는 컨텐츠 공급파트너만의 시각을 검증했기 때문에 해석에서 유의할 필요가 있다. 또한 타당성확보 노력을 기하였지만 측정도구 면에서 엄격한 개발과정을 준수하지는 못했다

기능적 부하 후 "Short Implant" 주변의 골 흡수에 대한 방사선학적 연구 (Study on the radiographic evaluation of marginal bone loss around short-length implant after functional loading)

  • Purpose: The short dental implant is considered as possible solution in the alveolar bone height deficient cases. The aim of this study was to evaluate clinical availability of short implants by measuring the marginal bone loss of short length implants and comparing with that of conventional length implants. Materials and Methods: The groups were composed of patients who had received at least one implant. The samples of this study were selected from patients who with functional loading after prosthetic treatment for 1 year follow up period. The implants with a length of 5.7 mm and 6mm were considered short. (Bicon Dental implants, USA). The experiment group was composed of $4.5{\times}6mm$, $5{\times}6mm$, $6{\times}5.7mm$ implants (total 18 implants were placed in 14 patients, 8 on maxilla, 10 on mandible). The control group was composed of $4.5{\times}8mm$, $5{\times}8mm$, $4.5{\times}11mm$, $5{\times}11mm$. All implants were selected only by implants placed on molar area. We evaluated marginal bone loss in radiographic images at baseline (implant loading) and 3, 6, 12 months after loading. Additionally, crown-to-implant ratio was evaluated, and marginal bone loss according to crown-to-implant ratio after functional loading was analyzed. Results: The short implant group had a mean marginal bone level of $-0.52{\pm}0.69mm$; the 8mm group, $-0.22{\pm}0.82mm$; and the II mm group, $-0.10{\pm}1.09mm$ after I year of functional loading. But significant differences were not detected between three groups at every follow-up period. Crown-to-implant ratio in short implant group was $1.55{\pm}0.23$; 8mm group was $1.15{\pm}0.18$; and 11mm group was $0.92{\pm}0.15$. Additionally, significant differences between three groups were founded. (P<.0001) The greatest marginal bone loss after 1 year follow-up was founded at crown-to-implant ratio 1~1.49 range in short implant. Conclusion: The marginal bone loss of short implants was comparable to that of long implants. So, the short implants can be a clinically acceptable option.

한국인의 치열궁과 치아의 크기에 관한 연구 (STUDY ON THE TOOTH SIZE AND DENTAL ARCH OF THE KOREANS)

  • As a factor of dentistry, the form of the tooth especially the size plays an important part. And in orthodontics the relation between the tooth size, arch length and the basal arch is regarded important, and it is closely related to the extraction and retension probolem in treatment planning. The auther's study of the mesio-distal crown diameters of permanent teeth, width and length of the dental arch and basal arch from the cast of 50 men and 53 women who could be measured clerly, among 102 men and 107 women regarded as the normal occlusion showed the followings. 1. Table 1 and table 2 showed the measurement of the mesio-distal maximum width of the permanent teeth, width and length of the dental arch and basal arch of the upper and lower dentitions. 2. Men's mesio-distal width of the teeth, arch length and arch width of the upper and the lower dentition, basal arch width and basal arch length are larger than those of wonen's 3. We compared the Koreans with the American white. Upper central incisors, upper first molars and lower second premolars of the latter were larger than those of the former. And the Koreans's rest tooth of the rest were comparatively larger.

Orthopantomogram상에서의 치아 장경 측정에 관한 연구 (A STUDY ON MEASUREMENTS OF TOOTH LENGTH IN ORTHOPANTOMOGRAM)

  • This study was performed to evaluate the accuracy of orthopantomogram by measuring the actual and radiographic tooth length and by analyzing the vertical magnification rate. For this study, total 90 teeth of the maxilla and mandible teeth and a dry skull were used. This experiment was attached with metal balls of 1±0.02㎜ at the root and the crown cusp tips of central, 2nd premolar, 1st molar of the maxilla and mandible and the teeth were embedded in dry skull, and then orthopantomogram was taken. The obtained results were as follows: 1. The average of tooth length in orthopantomogram was longer than that of actual tooth length. 2. The average of vertical magnification rate in the orthopantomogram to actual tooth length was 17-26%. 3. Vertical magnification rate of the maxilla teeth was 18-26% and that of mandibular teeth was 17-23%, and the magnification of maxillary teeth was larger than that of mandible teeth(P<0.0l). 4. Vertical magnification rate of posterior area was 22-26% and that of anterior area was 17-18%, and the magnification of anterior area was less than that of posterior area(P<0.01).

X-線 照射가 래트 태아의 발육에 미치는 영향 (Effect of X-irradiation on Fetal Development During Pregnancy in the Rats)

  • This study was carried out to find if the X-irradiation being used for clinical diagnosis during pregnancy would affect fetal development and cause fetal malformation in rats or not. To determine the dose and irradiation frequency of X-irradiation and gestation period by which fetal development would be affected when irradiated during pregnancy, seventy-two Sprague Dawley female rats (8 weeks old) were used for the experiment and grouped into three according to different gestation period of 5-8 days, and 6-12 days of gestation. Experimental rats were irradiated on the daily irradiation conditions of 40, 60, 80 kvp(kilo volt peak), 150 mA(milliampere), 0.25 sec and 4 times/day for both 5-8 days and 10-13 days of gestation, and 100 kvp, 100 mA, 2 min. and 4 times/day for 6-12 days of gestation. Rats were put in a small dark box when irradiated, which animals were sacrificed on the 20th day of gestation and mean litter size, fetal body weight, fetal crown-rump length(CRL) were investigated along with pathological findings. 1. Litter size were significantly decreased in the rats which were irradiated by both 60 and 80 kvp during 5 to 8 days of gestation and by 100 kvp during 6-12 days of gestation compared to those from the control rats(p<0.05) 2. Fetal body weight was significantly decreased in the fetus from the rats which were irradiated by both 60-80 kvp during 5-8 days of gestation and by 100 kvp during 6-12 days of gestation compared to those from the control rats(p<0.05). 3. There was no significant difference of fetal crown-rump length between all the experimental rats and the controls. 4. Fetal absorption, fetal death, and fetal malformation were not observed in the fetus form the rats irradiated by 40-80 kvp during 5-8 and 10-13 days of gestation, however, the pathological findings were found in those from the rats irradiated by 100 kvp during 6-12 days of gestation. 5. The harmful effect of x-irradiation on fetal development was estimated to occur when irradiated during 5-8 days of gestation. These results indicated that even X-irradiation for clinical diagnosis could affect fetal development in the early embryonic stage and when the fetus were exposed to frequent and prolonged x-irradiation with over dose.

CAD/CAM 시스템으로 제작한 지로코니아 코어의 변연 적합도 평가 (Evaluation on the Marginal Fitness of Zirconia Core fabricated with CAD/CAM System)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 CAD/CAM 시스템을 이용하여 지르코니아 코어를 제작한 다음 span의 길이가 변연 적합도에 미치는 영향과, 변연 간격이 임상적으로 허용 가능한 범위 내에 있는지를 평가하였다. 실험군은 지르코니아 single crown, 2-unit bridge, 3-unit bridge, 4-unit bridge의 4그룹으로 나누고 각 그룹별로 10개씩 코어를 제작하였다. 평균 변연 간격은 single $42.95{\pm}6.93{\mu}m$, 2-unit $43.53{\pm}5.27{\mu}m$, 3-unit $53.43{\pm}13.38{\mu}m$, 4-unit $50.85{\pm}8.25{\mu}m$으로 나타났다. 근심면, 원심면에서는 single, 2-unit 그룹과 3-unit, 4-unit 그룹 간 span의 길이 요인에 따라 통계학적으로 유의한 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다(p<.05). 협면, 설면에서는 모든 그룹에서 span의 길이 요인에 따라 통계학적으로 유의한 차이가 없었다(p>.05). 이러한 결과는 지르코니아 코어의 span 길이가 변연 적합도에 영향을 주었고, 변연간격은 모든 그룹에서 임상적 허용 범위 내에 존재 하였다.
