  • [ $ulcorner$ ]Cost-Effectiveness Analysis$\lrcorner$ has been wifely used to evaluate economic efficiency of R&D projects, but most of cost-effectiveness evaluation systems have some problems such as systematic method for setting and evaluating cost factors, estimation of single effect on each R&D project, and estimation of cross effects among R&D projects. To solve these problems, we have designed a new evaluation indicator called a $ulcorner$Cost-Cross Effect Integration Indicator$lrcorner$ including cross effects developed in this research. The major research findings are summarized as follows : (1) $ulcorner$Coist Estimation Model$lrcorner$, which estimates the cost factors divided into two classes of assembly product and system product and then integrates the total cost values, has been designed. (2) A new method for estimating parameters of cross effects among R&D projects has been developed. (3) $ulcorner$Cross Effects Estimation Model$lrcorner$ to estimate multi-effects and cross effects by completion time among several projects has been designed. (4) $ulcorner$Integration Estimation Indicator$lrcorner$ for setting priority on a project group has been extracted by combination of total cost value and total effect value.

  • This study identified factors that influenced fashion consumers' purchase intentions for cross-border online shopping. This study utilized three outshopping motivation dimensions (utilitarian, social, and hedonic) to empirically verify research questions. The moderating effects of consumers' perceived risks between cross-border online shopping motivations and behavioral intention were also tested on Korean female consumers in their 20s to 40s who had experience purchasing fashion goods through a cross-border online shopping channel within a year. The research are as follows. First, the three motivations have positive effects on cross-border online shopping purchase intentions. Fashion consumers are greatly influenced by hedonic motivation compared to utilitarian and social motivations. Second, perceived risks do not negatively influence cross-border online shopping purchase intentions. Finally, there exists moderating effects of perceived risks between utilitarian motivation and cross-border online shopping purchase intentions. This study reveals motivational and moderating factors that influence fashion consumers to shop through a cross-border online shopping channel. It contributes to prior studies by extending the research range of cross-border online shopping into fashion. Marketers and retailers should note that fashion consumers are most influenced by hedonic motivation when shopping in cross-border online malls.

  • Recently, the cross-model strategy of using male models in advertisements for women's cosmetics has been increasingly utilized. Academics have begun to discuss and study cross-model advertisements, but most of the studies have focused on the effects of the presence of a cross model. We investigated the effects of a crossmodel's product demonstration as an advertising creative strategy on consumer's attitudes toward the ad. We examined the effects of a male model demonstrating the advertised products for women's cosmetics on female consumers' attitudes toward the ad. As a result, we found that when a male model demonstrated a product in a women's product advertisement, consumers' attitudes toward the ad were more positive the higher their product involvement. Therefore, product involvement was found to be a moderating variable in the effect of cross-model product demonstration on attitudes toward the ad. This study contributes to the line of research on the effect of cross-model and product demonstration advertising, providing practical implications for advertising practitioners.

  • In this study, we developed a new methodology. That is Cross effects type dicho-hierarchy process(CEDHP) model, which determines priorities of project alternatives through evaluating project alternatives as the dicho-hierarchy composed of the strategy and technology field, and estimating cross effects as the cross-impacts between projects completion times.

  • Antimutagens, including diverse compounds of botanical origin, offer some promise of reducing the risk posed by exposure to mutagens. Caution is warranted, however, as there may sometimes be a delicate balance between antimutagenic effects and potentiating effects of the same compounds. We studied effects of the antimutagens spermidine (SPD) and cysteamine (CSM) on the genetic activity of the radiomimetic cancer chemotherapy drug bleomycin (BLM).(omitted)

  • Compared to studies on prosodic effects on the comprehension of syntactic ambiguity in English, there are relatively few that investigated prosodic effects in East-Asian languages. This study examined the role of prosodic information in processing syntactically ambiguous sentences in Japanese. For syntactically ambiguous sentences containing relative clauses, this paper investigated whether prosodic information is immediately available during the process of these ambiguous sentences. Results from an auditory comprehension experiment with an on-line, cross-modal naming task seemingly suggest that contrary to the findings from the off-line study that examined the same constructions, prosodic information may not be immediately available to Japanese listeners. A possible account for failure to obtain effects of prosodic information is provided.

  • Focusing on China's profound historical/cultural heritage, as well as its favorable environment for the expansion of cultural and creative industries (CCIs), this paper considers the unique attributes of Chinese museum cultural and creative products (MCCPs) from the angle of cross-border development, and summarizes the main forms and effects of cross-border innovation in relation to Chinese MCCPs. It also examines the chief problems of Chinese MCCPs' cross-border growth at three levels - the national policy system, product development, and design and marketing - to explore countermeasures and suggestions for cross-border novelties and the advancement of products.

  • The performance of an acoustic transducer is determined by the effects of many design variables. and mostly the influences of these design variables are not linearly independent of each other To achieve the optimal performance of an acoustic transducer, we must consider the cross-coupled effects of the design variables. In this study with the FEM. we analyzed the variation of the resonance frequency and sound pressure of a flextensional transducer in relation to Its design variables. Through statistical multiple regression analysis of the results, we derived functional forms of the resonance frequency and sound pressure in terms of the design variables, and with which we determined the optimal structure of the transducer by means of a constrained optimization technique, SQP-PD. The proposed method can reflect all the cross-coupled effects of multiple design variables, and can be utilized to the design of general acoustic transducers.
