항암화학요법을 받는 암환자 간호핵심역량 측정도구 개발 및 타당화 (Development and Validation of a Tool for Evaluating Core Competencies in Nursing Cancer Patients on Chemotherapy)

  • Purpose: This study was done to develop tool to evaluate the core competencies regarding nursing cancer patients on chemotherapy, and to verify the reliability and efficacy of the developed tool. Methods: A tool to evaluate the core competencies was developed from a preliminary tool consisting of 112 items verified by expert groups. The adequacy of the preliminary tool was analyzed and refined to the final evaluation tool containing 76 items in 8 core competencies and 18 specific competencies. The evaluation tool is in the form of a self-report, and each item is evaluated according to a 3-point scale. From September 22 to October 14, 2011, 349 survey responses were analyzed using SPSS 20.0 and the WINSTEPS program that employs the Rasch model. Results: Results indicated that there were no inappropriate items and the items had low levels of difficulty in comparison with the knowledge levels of the study participants. The results of factor analysis yielded 18 factors, and the reliability of the tools was very high with Cronbach's ${\alpha}$=.97. Conclusion: The results of this study can be used for training and evaluation of core competencies for nursing cancer patients, and for standardizing nursing practices associated with chemotherapy.

해상기초 설계를 위한 시추조사와 물리탐사 자료의 지구통계학적 통합분석 (Geostatistical Integration of Borehole and Geophysical Data for Design of Offshore-foundation)

  • 해저 지반조사에서는 시추공 조사가 제한되고, 비교적 간편한 방법으로 결과물을 얻어 낼 수 있는 물리탐사를 주로 사용하고 있으며, 이러한 해저 지반조사의 한계를 극복하기 위해서 가용할 수 있는 다양한 종류의 지반조사 자료를 수집하고 서로 상반되는 장 단점을 상호 보완하여 이용해야 한다. 이에 본 연구에서는 해상기초 설계를 위해 해상에서 수행되는 다수의 탄성파탐사 자료와 기초 설치 지점에 집중되어 측선 주변에서 수행되는 시추조사 자료를 중첩하여 수치화된 2차원 대표 층상단면을 결정하고, 공간보간 기법(kriging)을 통해 3차원 층상정보를 결정할 수 있는 통합 분석 기법을 수립하였다. 또한 2차원 대표 층상단면 결정 시 물리탐사 결과의 공간적 변동성과 측선과 시추조사 지점과의 이격거리를 고려한 중첩방법을 추가로 제안하였다. 최종적으로 통합분석 기법을 제주도 해상풍력 발전 시범지역에 적용하였으며, 제안 기법의 적용성을 교차검증을 통해 검증하였다.

속성 변동 최소화에 의한 러프집합 누락 패턴 부합 (Missing Pattern Matching of Rough Set Based on Attribute Variations Minimization in Rough Set)

  • 러프집합에서 누락된 속성 값들은 Reduct와 Core 계산, 더 나아가서 결정 트리 구축에 있어서 식별 불능의 패턴 부합 문제를 가진다. 현재 누락된 속성 값들의 추정과 관련하여 보편적인 속성 값으로의 대체, 속성들의 모든 가능한 값 할당, 이벤트 포장 방법, C4.5, 특수한 LEM2 알고리즘과 같은 접근방식들이 적용되고 있다. 그렇지만, 이들 접근방식은 결국 전형적으로 자주 등장하는 속성 값 혹은 가장 보편적인 속성 값으로의 단순 대체를 나타내기 때문에, 주요 속성 값들이 누락된 경우에 정보 손실이 큰 의사 결정 규칙들이 유도되기 때문에 의사결정 규칙들의 교차 검증에서 문제가 된다. 본 연구에서는 이러한 문제점을 개선시키기 위해 속성들간에 엔트로피 변동을 활용하여 정보 이득이 높은 방향으로 누락된 속성 값들을 대체하는 방식을 제안한다. 제안된 접근방식에 관한 타당성 검토는 비교적 가까운 유사 관계에 의해 누락 값 대체 방식을 적용하는 ROSE 프로그램과의 비교를 나타낸다.

전자산업에서 사용하는 화학물질의 독성예측을 위한 QSAR 접근법 (QSAR Approach for Toxicity Prediction of Chemicals Used in Electronics Industries)

  • Objectives: It is necessary to apply quantitative structure activity relationship (QSAR) for the various chemicals with insufficient toxicity data that are used in the workplace, based on the precautionary principle. This study aims to find application plan of QSAR software tool for predicting health hazards such as genetic toxicity, and carcinogenicity for some chemicals used in the electronics industries. Methods: Toxicity prediction of 21 chemicals such as 5-aminotetrazole, ethyl lactate, digallium trioxide, etc. used in electronics industries was assessed by Toxicity Prediction by Komputer Assisted Technology (TOPKAT). In order to identify the suitability and reliability of carcinogenicity prediction, 25 chemicals such as 4-aminobiphenyl, ethylene oxide, etc. which are classified as Group 1 carcinogens by the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) were selected. Results: Among 21 chemicals, we obtained prediction results for 5 carcinogens, 8 non-carcinogens and 8 unpredictability chemicals. On the other hand, the carcinogenic potential of 5 carcinogens was found to be low by relevant research testing data and Oncologic TM tool. Seven of the 25 carcinogens (IARC Group 1) were wrongly predicted as non-carcinogens (false negative rate: 36.8%). We confirmed that the prediction error could be improved by combining genetic toxicity information such as mutagenicity. Conclusions: Some compounds, including inorganic chemicals and polymers, were still limited for applying toxicity prediction program. Carcinogenicity prediction may be further improved by conducting cross-validation of various toxicity prediction programs, or application of the theoretical molecular descriptors.

ADCP 자료의 공간평균을 이용한 평균유속장 산정에 대한 검증 (Validation of Assessment for Mean Flow Field Using Spatial Averaging of Instantaneous ADCP Velocity Measurements)

  • While the assessment of mean flow field is very important to characterize the hydrodynamic aspect of the flow regime in river, the conventional methodologies have required very time-consuming efforts and cost to obtain the mean flow field. The paper provides an efficient technique to quickly assess mean flow field by developing and applying spatial averaging method utilizing repeatedly surveyed acoustic Doppler current profiler(ADCP)'s cross-sectional measurements. ADCP has been widely used in measuring the detailed velocity and discharge in the last two decades. In order to validate the proposed spatial averaging method, the averaged velocity filed using the spatial averaging was compared with the bench-mark data computed by the time-averaging of the consistent fix-point ADCP measurement, which has been known as a valid but a bit inefficient way to obtain mean velocity field. The comparison showed a good agreement between two methods, which indicates that the spatial averaging method is able to be used as a surrogate way to assess the mean flow field. Bed shear stress distribution, which is a derived hydrodynamic quantity from the mean velocity field, was additionally computed by using both spatial and time-averaging methods, and they were compared each other so as to validate the spatial averaging method. This comparison also gave a good agreement. Therefore, such comparisons proved the validity of the spatial averaging to quickly assess mean flow field. The mean velocity field and its derived riverine quantities can be actively used for characterizing the flow dynamics as well as potentially applicable for validating numerical simulations.

한국판 외상 후 스트레스 장애에 대한 태도와 지식 측정도구(K-PTSD)의 타당도와 신뢰도 (Validity and Reliability of Korean Version of Post-traumatic Stress Disorder Scale (K-PTSD) Measuring Attitudes and Knowledge of PTSD)

  • Purpose: The aim of this study was to examine the validity and reliability of the Korean version of the PTSD scale (K-PTSD) for measuring attitudes and knowledge of PTSD. Methods: A cross-sectional study design was used. The K-PTSD scale consisted of 8 items for attitudes, 8 items for general knowledge of PTSD, and 3 items for knowledge of PTSD treatment; 211 nursing students and paramedic students participated. Content validity, item analysis, and factor analysis were used to examine the construct validity. Criterion validity was tested by using educational experience with PTSD as a criterion. Cronbach's α was used to identify internal consistency reliability in the attitude scale. Results: Construct validity of the K-PTSD was verified by exploratory factor analysis, with factor loadings for attitude ranging from .59 to .84. Criterion validity in comparing knowledge of PTSD (t=2.02, p=.044) and PTSD treatment (t=3.19, p=.022) showed a significant difference according to PTSD educational experience. Cronbach's α for the attitude scale was .79 and .59. Conclusion: The findings suggest that the K-PTSD is a valid and reliable tool that can measure attitudes and knowledge of PTSD among nursing and paramedic students. However, further study is needed to retest the verification of this scale with more diverse participants.

지역난방 공동주택의 에너지 성능 평가를 위한 공동주택 단지별 에너지사용량 Database 구축 (Establishing a Energy Utilization Database for Energy Performance Evaluation of Multi-Family Housing using District Heating)

  • 건축물의 에너지성능을 평가하기 위해서는 운영단계의 신뢰도 높은 에너지 사용량 정보를 파악하는 것이 중요하며, 이를 위해서는 객관적 분류체계에 따라 도출된 일정규모이상의 모집단을 갖는 database의 구축이 필요하다. 본 연구에서는 지역난방 공동주택의 에너지 성능을 종합적으로 평가할 수 있는 에너지원을 반영하고, 서울 및 수도권 도시에 대한 폭넓은 조사로 충분한 수의 모집단을 확보하며, 다양한 Data source를 이용한 상호검증과 통계적 기법을 통해 1차 에너지사용량과 $CO_2$ 배출량을 포함한 325개 단지의 database를 구축하였다. 추가적으로 향후 관련 연구의 발전을 위해 국토교통부에서 구축한 공동주택정보관리시스템의 개선 필요사항을 제안하였다.

졸업인증 임상수행력평가의 유용성 평가 (Usefulness of Clinical Performance Examination for Graduation Certification of Nursing Students)

  • Purpose: The aim of this study was to testify whether clinical performance examination (CPX) was useful to evaluate comprehensive performance for nursing students just prior to graduation. Method: A cross-sectional descriptive study was designed to examine the usefulness. A total of 61 nursing students whose requirement credits were completed for graduation from a C University in G-city, at December, 5, 2007. Data were analyzed by Pearson's Correlation Coefficient and Spearman's rank Correlation Coefficient. Results: This study showed that both of the finals scores with paper and pens and the clinical practicum scores were not correlated with the CPX scores (r=-.031, p=.811; r=.028, p=.831). Consistency of scores between faculties and standardized patients was moderate (r=.752, p=.000). Conclusion: CPX was considered as a different and innovative evaluation from previous testing systems to test the various aspects of performance including knowledge, skill and attitude. Therefore, CPX under high raters' consistency was useful to test nursing students's final performance. Further study would be needed to develop the standard of CPX system.

신경망을 이용한 클래스 간 메소드 위치 결정 메커니즘 (A Mechanism to Determine Method Location among Classes using Neural Network)

  • 클래스의 속성과 메소드 참조관계를 고려한 응집도 측정 방법은 다양한 형태로 연구되어 왔다 이러한 응집도의 측정 방법은 일반적으로 하나의 클래스에서 이루어진다. 단일 클래스에서 두 개의 클래스로 참조 범위를 확장하면 두 클래스 사이에 발생할 수 있는 참조관계를 알 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 메소드의 위치 결정을 위하여 신경망 학습모델을 제안하였다. 신경망은 입출력 패턴에 대한 반복학습 후, 학습 패턴에 포함되지 않았던 입력 패턴의 목적 값을 예측하고, 일반화(generalization)하는데 효과적이다. 두 개의 클래스 안의 속성과 메소드를 5개 이하로 제한하였고, 학습 벡터는 30개의 이진 값으로 구성된 입력 벡터와 메소드 위치 결정 값인 이진 목적 값으로 생성되었다. 제안된 신경망은 교차검증에서 약 95%, 테스트 데이터에 대해서는 약88%의 예측율을 보였다.

Identification of Caenorhabditis elegans MicroRNA Targets Using a Kernel Method

  • Background MicroRNAs (miRNAs) are a class of noncoding RNAs found in various organisms such as plants and mammals. However, most of the mRNAs regulated by miRNAs are unknown. Furthermore, miRNA targets in genomes cannot be identified by standard sequence comparison since their complementarity to the target sequence is imperfect in general. In this paper, we propose a kernel-based method for the efficient prediction of miRNA targets. To help in distinguishing the false positives from potentially valid targets, we elucidate the features common in experimentally confirmed targets. Results The performance of our prediction method was evaluated by five-fold cross-validation. Our method showed 0.64 and 0.98 in sensitivity and in specificity, respectively. Also, the proposed method reduced the number of false positives by half compared with TargetScan. We investigated the effect of feature sets on the classification of miRNA targets. Finally, we predicted miRNA targets for several miRNAs in the Caenorhabditis elegans (C. elegans) 3' untranslated region (3' UTR) database. Condusions The targets predicted by the suggested method will help in validating more miRNA targets and ultimately in revealing the role of small RNAs in the regulation of genomes. Our algorithm for miRNA target site detection will be able to be improved by additional experimental­knowledge. Also, the increase of the number of confirmed targets is expected to reveal general structural features that can be used to improve their detection.
