  • The spontaneous ignition induction time and temperature distribution were observed by performing experiments for granulated activated carbon. As the results of the experiments at the same amplitude, the critical spontaneous ignition temperature was decreased with increase of the time period, while, the ignition induction time was increased with the increase of the time period. The critical spontaneous ignition temperature was decreased with the increase of the amplitude for the shorter period. The temperature distribution of the sample showed the highest around ignition-point at center of the vessel and after ignition the highest temperature was moved toward surface of the vessel.

  • In this paper, the position control performance of networked control systems is analyzed when time delay through the network is considered. Integrating a control system into a network has great advantages over the traditional control system which uses point to point connection: it allows remarkable reduction in wiring, makes it easy to install and maintain the system, and improves compability. However, a networked control system has the critical defect that network uncertainties, such as time delay, can degrade the control system's performance. Therefore, the major concern of a networked control system is analyzing the effect of network uncertainties. This paper is concerned with PID controller performance for stability region, critical stability region and unstability region under the time delay in the Controller Area Network.

  • Micro-structure and shear properties with reflow conditions, reflow temperature and time, for In-48Sn solder on BGA package were examined at the temperature between 140 and 170$^{\circ}C$ for 10 to 3600sec. With increasing reflow temperature and time, the thickness of intermetallic compound formed between solder and pad increased. Shear test indicated shear force increased in the range to a critical value of reflow time, and decreased over a critical reflow time. With increasing reflow temperature and time, the crater occurred on fracture surface because of a increase of crater by voids and IMC particles precipitated in solder.

  • This research develops a framework for resolving time and worker conflicts in the Critical Chain Project Management (CCPM) method, expressed in the form of a Max-Plus Linear (MPL) system. Our previous work proposed a method for resolving time conflicts. However, in practical cases, both time and worker conflicts may occur. Hence, we propose a method for resolving both time and worker conflicts for a single project. We first consider how to detect a resource conflict. Then, we define an adjacency matrix to resolve the detected conflicts. Using the proposed method, we confirm that the resource conflict can be resolved through a numerical example.

  • New trend called ubiquitous leads the recent business by standardization and integration. It should be the main issue how to guarantee the integration and accountability on each business, especially in mission critical system which is mainly supported by M2M (Machine to Machine) control mechanism. This study is from the analysis of digital forensics case study that is from the M2M Sensing Control Mechanism problem of the "Imjin River" case in 2009, where a group of family is swept away to death by water due to M2M control error. The ubiquitous surroundings bring the changes in the field of criminal investigation to real time controls such as M2M systems. The needs of digital forensics on M2M control are increasing on every crime scene but we suffer from the lack of control metrics to get this done efficiently. The court asks for more accurately analyzed results accounting high quality product development design. Investigators in the crime scene need real-time analysis against the crime caused by poor quality of mission critical systems. It seems to be every need of Real-Time-Enterprise, so called ubiquitous society on the case. We try to find the efficiency and productivity in discovering non-functional design defects in M2M convergence products focusing on three metrics in study model with quick implementation. Digital forensics system in present status depends on know-how of each investigator and is hard to expect professional analysis on every field. This study set up a hypothesis "Co-working of professional investigators on each field will qualify Performance and Integrity" especially in mission critical system such as M2M and suggests "Online co-work analysis model" to efficiently detect and prevent mission critical errors in advance. At the conclusion, this study proved the statistical research that was surveyed by digital forensics specialists around M2M crime scene cases with quick implementation of dash board.

  • Recently, the Internet of Things (IoT), which has been applied to various industrial fields, is constantly evolving in the process of automation and digitization. However, in the network where IoT devices are built, research on IoT critical information-related data sharing, personal information protection, and data integrity among intermediate nodes is still being actively studied. In this study, we propose a blockchain-based IoT critical information management technique that is easy to implement without burdening the intermediate node in the network environment where IoT is built. The proposed technique allocates a random value of a random size to the IoT critical information arriving at the intermediate node and manages it to become a decentralized P2P blockchain. In addition, the proposed technique makes it easier to manage IoT critical data by creating licenses such as time limit and device limitation according to the weight condition of IoT critical information. Performance evaluation and proposed techniques have improved delay time and processing time by 7.6% and 10.1% on average compared to existing techniques.

  • In this paper, we consider how to treat delay-time uncertainties caused by inter-die and intradie variabilities in evaluating the distribution of the critical delay of a CMOS combinatorial circuit, and formulate inter-die variability as a correlation of delays. Then, we propose an algorithm to evaluate the distribution of the critical delay based on the algorithm in [1] which takes correlations into account. We also show some experimental results to see the effect of the formulation.

  • The performance time of human operators has been recognized as a key aspect of human reliability in socio-complex systems, including nuclear industries. Because of the importance of the time factor, most existing human reliability assessment methods provide ways to quantify human error probabilities (HEPs) that are associated with the performance time. To quantify such kinds of HEPs, it is crucial to rationally predict the length of time required and time available and compare them. However, there have not been detailed guidelines that identify the critical cue presentation time or initial time of human performance, which is important to calculate the time information. In this paper, we introduce a time-related HEP calculation technique with a decision algorithm that determines the critical cue and its timing. The calculation process is presented with the application examples. It is expected that the proposed algorithm will reduce the variability in the time-related reliability assessment and strengthen the scientific evidence of the assessment process. The detailed description is provided in the technical report KAERI/TR-7607/2019.

  • Dynamics of a rotating cantilever beam near its critical angular speed is investigated in this paper. The external, force is idealized as a periodic function which has the same period as the rotati ng frequency of the beam. The equations of motion are derived and transformed into a dimensionless form. A prescribed spin-up motion is employed for the rotating motion. Numerical study shows that the steady state and the transient responses of the beam are affected by the spin-up time constant and there exists a time constant at which the maximum transient response becomes minimum.

  • With the increasing demand for real time applications in the Wireless Senor Network (WSN), real time critical events anticipate an efficient quality-of-service (QoS) based routing for data delivery from the network infrastructure. Designing such QoS based routing protocol to meet the reliability and delay guarantee of critical events while preserving the energy efficiency is a challenging task. Considerable research has been focused on developing robust energy efficient QoS based routing protocols. In this paper, we present the state of the research by summarizing the work on QoS based routing protocols that has already been published and by highlighting the QoS issues that are being addressed. The performance comparison of QoS based routing protocols such as SAR, MMSPEED, MCMP, MCBR, and EQSR has also been analyzed using ns-2 for various parameters.
