원격근무 환경에서 상사의 리더십 역량에 관한 연구 (A Study on Leadership Competency in a Remote Work Environment)

  • 이 연구의 목적은 원격근무 환경에서 조직구성원의 업무수행에 있어 긍정적인 영향과 부정적인 영향을 미친 상사의 리더십 행동 및 원격근무 시 기대되는 상사의 역량을 구명하는데 있다. 이를 위해 경력 1년 이상의 19명 사무직 종사자를 대상으로 중요사건기술법(CIT)을 활용하여 인터뷰를 실시, 분석하였다. 이 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 원격근무 시 조직구성원의 업무수행에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 상사의 리더십 행동은 10개의 행동특성으로 분석되었고 관계중심적 행동, 과업중심적 행동, 변화중심적 행동 순으로 언급빈도수가 높았다. 둘째, 원격근무 시 조직구성원의 업무수행에 부정적인 영향을 미치는 상사의 리더십 행동은 9개의 행동특성으로 분석되었고 관계중심적 행동, 과업중심적 행동, 변화중심적 행동 순으로 언급빈도수가 높았다. 셋째, 원격근무 시 상사에게 기대되는 역량은 13가지로 분류하였다. 이를 바탕으로 결론을 도출하고 후속 연구를 위한 제언을 하였다.

공공부문의 서비스품질 측정모형 개발 (Developing the Measurement Model of Service Quality in the Public Sector)

  • Beyond SERVQUAL-based service quality research, we develop a measurement model of public service quality that would provide researchers and practitioners in the public sector with a foundation for systematic investigation and implementation. Firstly, we explore the attributes of public service quality that lead to customer satisfaction by using the critical incident technique (CIT). We identified four dimensions of public service qualities. We also found that the critical attributes of service quality differ according to the types of customers. Secondly, to achieve a high degree of empirical confidence, we conduct statistical tests and analyses on the classification scheme and on the attributes of service quality that we derived from the CIT analysis. Through these analyses, we could remove the redundancy among attributes and group the attributes into new constructs, which are mutually exclusive and exhaustive; we built a more sophisticated measurement model of service quality.

결정적 사건기법을 이용한 프리미엄 모빌리티 고객의 이용경험 구성요인 분석 (Configuration of Premium Mobility Customer's Experience Using a Critical Incident Technique)

  • 최근 스마트관광도시의 등장으로 프리미엄 모빌리티가 중요한 관광분야의 교통수단으로 간주되고 있다. 그런데, 아직까지 관광목적으로 활용될 수 있는 프리미엄 모빌리티 이용고객의 이용경험에 대해서는 충분히 연구된 바가 없다. 이에 이 연구는 결정적 사건기법(critical incidents technique: CIT)을 이용하여 프리미엄 모빌리티를 이용했던 고객의 이용경험에 대한 구성요인을 분석하였다. 프리미엄 모빌리티 이용경험을 구성하는 요인을 구체적으로 파악하기 위해 총 273부의 온라인 설문조사를 통해 만족에 관한 사건수는 366건, 불만족에 관한 사건수는 13건을 수집하였다. 연구결과 고객이 프리미엄 모빌리티를 이용했던 경험을 바탕으로 CIT를 적용하여 프리미엄 이용경험 인식을 구성하는 6개 범주와 9개의 하위요인들을 도출하였다. 특히 이 연구는 6개의 범주 중 편리성이 새로운 범주로 추가되었고 9개의 하위요인 중 넓은 승차감과 고가성(高價性)은 새로운 하위요인으로 도출되었기에 기존 연구들과는 차별성이 있다. 따라서 향후 도출된 구성 요인들을 바탕으로 구조방정식과 같은 양적연구에서 활용될 수 있는 척도를 개발하고, 신뢰성과 타당성을 확보할 수 있다면 관광분야의 프리미엄 모빌리티와 관련된 주제에 다양하게 적용될 수 있을 것이다.

Integrated fire dynamic and thermomechanical modeling of a bridge under fire

  • This paper proposes a nonlinear computational modeling approach for the behaviors of structural systems subjected to fire. The proposed modeling approach consists of fire dynamics analysis, nonlinear transient-heat transfer analysis for predicting thermal distributions, and thermomechanical analysis for structural behaviors. For concretes, transient heat formulations are written considering temperature dependent heat conduction and specific heat capacity and included within the thermomechanical analyses. Also, temperature dependent stress-strain behaviors including compression hardening and tension softening effects are implemented within the analyses. The proposed modeling technique for transient heat and thermomechanical analyses is first validated with experimental data of reinforced concrete (RC) beams subjected to high temperatures, and then applied to a bridge model. The bridge model is generated to simulate the fire incident occurred by a gas truck on April 29, 2007 in Oakland California, USA. From the simulation, not only temperature distributions and deformations of the bridge can be found, but critical locations and time frame where collapse occurs can be predicted. The analytical results from the simulation are qualitatively compared with the real incident and show good agreements.

Full-scale study of conical vortices and roof corner pressures

  • A full-scale synchronized data acquisition system was set up on the roof of the experimental building at the Texas Tech University Wind Engineering Research Field Laboratory to simultaneously collect approaching wind data, conical vortex images, and roof corner suction pressure data. One-second conditional sampling technique has been applied in the data analysis, which makes it possible to separately evaluate the influencing effects of the horizontal wind angle of attack, ${\theta}$, and the vertical wind angle of attack, ${\varphi}$. Results show a clear cause-and-effect relationship between the incident wind, conical vortices, and the induced roof-corner high-suction pressures. The horizontal wind angle of attack, ${\theta}$, is shown to be the most significant factor in influencing the overall vortex structure and the suction pressures beneath. It is further revealed that the vertical wind angle of attack, ${\varphi}$, plays a critical role in generating the instantaneous peak suction pressures near the roof corner.

공공서비스 중간고객의 품질, 만족, 신뢰의 인과모형 분석 (Analyzing the Causal Relationship between Qualities, Satisfaction, and Trust in Public Services: an Intermediary Customer Perspective)

  • From the perspective of employees working for public service agencies, we analyzed the causal relationship between service quality, relationship quality, design quality, customer satisfaction, and trust in public services. We conduct statistical analyses on the quality attributes we derived from a critical incident technique(CIT) analysis and build a measurement model, which has a second-order hierarchical structure. Survey data was collected from social work, childcare, and healthcare services. Using a structural equation modeling method, we identify a causal model and simultaneously estimate factor loadings and path coefficients. We find that all the quality dimensions are antecedents to satisfaction and then satisfaction precedes trust. The results show that service quality and design quality mediate in parallel the effect of relationship quality on satisfaction and both relationship and design qualities have stronger effects on satisfaction rather than service quality.

  • This paper presents a conceptual mode of the clothing complaining behavior process following dissatisfaction in a retail environment and influence of relevant variables. The data were collected 250 male and 358 female consumers by questionnaire employing critical incident technique. Given dissatisfaction with clothing the complaining behavior undertaken will be largely dependent on product importance the likelihood of success one's attitude toward complaining and demorgraphic variables. Through empirical research the clothing complaining behavior was dependent on the likelihood of success sex, dimension of complaining cost and product importance, Brand satisfaction was affected by only perceived justice. And repurchasing behavior was dependent upon brand satisfaction education product importance and income.

The Moderating Role of Attribution in Penalty Judgment: An Empirical Study in the Financial Service Industry

  • Many financial service organizations use various types of penalties (e.g., late payment fee, overdraft fee), often inflicting customer complaints and, in extreme cases, attrition. This study examines how customers evaluate penalties using concepts from attribution theory and literatures of social justice and customer satisfaction/dissatisfaction. The study hypothesizes that both cognitive (i.e., attribution, perceived fairness, disconfirmation) and affective (i.e., emotion) responses influence customer's penalty judgment and tests the effect of moderation between attribution and perceived fairness on penalty judgment. The study uses a cross sectional survey design and collects data using the critical incident technique. The results show that attributions have significant moderating effects on the relationship between perceived fairness and dissatisfaction with the penalty and that perceived fairness, emotion, and attribution have a significant influence on penalty evaluation. The study provides discussion of the findings and managerial implications.

  • 본 연구는 Critical Incident Technique(CIT)를 이용하여 음식점에서 서비스 실패를 야기하는 결정적인 사건과 서비스 실패/복구수준과의 관계를 고찰해 보았다. 이와 더불어 불만족한 고객을 만족한 고객으로 전환시키는 데에 중요한 역할을 하는 고객이 바라는 복구와 점포 개선사항을 추가로 제시함으로써 실용적인 마케팅 접근을 시도하였다. 본 연구에서는 고객 불만족 원인이 서비스상품의 결함에 대부분 기인한다는 Hoffman et al. (1995)과 Tax et al. (1998)의 결과와는 달리 서비스 실패를 일으키는 주원인은 서비스제공자에게 있다는 흥미로운 결과를 얻을 수 있었다. 그 동안 국내의 많은 서비스관련 연구들이 서비스 만족과 불만족에 대해 양적 (quantitative)으로 접근한 것과는 달리 본 연구는 질적(qualitative) 접근을 시도하였다. 또한 본 연구는 CIT를 이용한 최초의 서비스 복구에 대한 연구이며, 기존의 연구들이 단순히 서비스 실패의 유형을 범주화하고 복구의 종류를 알아보는 것에 그치고 있는 데 반해 본 연구에서는 고객이 바라는 복구종류와 서비스 제공자의 개선 사항, 서비스 실패를 경험한 고객들의 구전활동에 관한 조사결과와 전략적 시사점도 함께 제시함으로써, 일선 관리자들이 본 연구의 결과를 기업의 마케팅전략 수립에 효과적으로 활용이 가능하다는 점에서 그 의의가 크다고 할 수 있다.

Theoretical Model for Accident Prevention Based on Root Cause Analysis With Graph Theory

  • Introduction: Despite huge investments in new technology and transportation infrastructure, terrible accidents still remain a reality of traffic. Methods: Severe traffic accidents were analyzed from four prevailing modes of today's transportations: sea, air, railway, and road. Main root causes of all four accidents were defined with implementation of the approach, based on Flanagan's critical incident technique. In accordance with Molan's Availability Humanization model (AH model), possible preventive or humanization interventions were defined with the focus on technology, environment, organization, and human factors. Results: According to our analyses, there are significant similarities between accidents. Root causes of accidents, human behavioral patterns, and possible humanization measures were presented with rooted graphs. It is possible to create a generalized model graph, which is similar to rooted graphs, for identification of possible humanization measures, intended to prevent similar accidents in the future. Majority of proposed humanization interventions are focused on organization. Organizational interventions are effective in assurance of adequate and safe behavior. Conclusions: Formalization of root cause analysis with rooted graphs in a model offers possibility for implementation of presented methods in analysis of particular events. Implementation of proposed humanization measures in a particular analyzed situation is the basis for creation of safety culture.
