Ni-base superalloy Haynes 282 was developed as a gas turbine material for use in the ultra-super-critical stage (USC) of next-generation coal-fired power plants. Temperatures in the USC stage exceed $700^{\circ}C$ during operation. In spite of its important role Haynes 282 in increasing the performance of high-pressure turbines, as a result of its high-temperature capability, there is little information on the microstructure, deformation mechanism, or mechanical properties of the cast condition of this alloy. The aim of present study is to examine the creep properties of cast alloy and compare with wrought alloy. The ${\gamma}^{\prime}-precipitates$ were coarsen with the increase of aging time ranging from 8 to 48 hrs. A creep test performed at $750^{\circ}C$ showed faster minimum creep rate and shorter rupture lifetime with the aging time. A creep test performed showed only a slight difference in the rupture life between cast and wrought products. Based on the creep test results, the deformation mechanism is discussed using fractographs.

Magnesium alloys have been focussed for the applications for lightweight of vehicle and electronics due to their high strength, low specific density and good damping capacity. This paper deals with the creep strength of Mg-Nd-Zr-Zn alloy. For the alloy, pure magnesium(99.9%) was melt with atmosphere of $0.3%SF_6$ and $25%CO_2$. After melting, 0.3% of zinc was inserted to stir for 10min at elevated temperature of $770^{\circ}C$. Master alloys of Mg-15%Nd and Mg-15%Zr were stirred in furnace. The creep tests were performed to obtain creep rate and rupture in the temperature range of 200 to $220^{\circ}C$ and 280 to $310^{\circ}C$ at an applied stress of 156 to 172MPa and 78 to 94MPa, respectively. The deformation mechanism was predicted dislocation climb from measured apparent activation energy and stress exponent. Also the increaser the temperature and stress the lower the stress exponent and activation energy. Finally, LMP parameter gives good information for the predicted creep rupture life.
Hypereutectic Al-Si alloys have been regarded attractive for automotive and aerospace application, due to high specific strength, good wear resistance, high thermal stability, low thermal expansion coefficient and good creep resistance. Spray casting of hypereutectic Al-Si alloy has been reported to provide distinct advantages over ingot metallurgy (IM) or rapid solidification/powder metallurgy (RS/PM) process in terms of microstructure refinement. In this study, hypereutectic Al-25Si-2.0Cu-1.0Mg alloy was prepared by OSPREY spray casting process. The change of strain rate sensitivity and Creep transition were analyzed by using the load relaxation test and constant creep test. High temperature deformation behavior of the hypereutectic Al-Si alloy has been investigated by applying the internal variable theory proposed by Chang et al. Especially, the creep resistance of spray casted hypereutectic Al-Si alloy can be enhanced considerably by the accumulation of prestrain.
This investigation presented conventional triaxial and creep-permeability tests on sandstones considering thermally-induced damage (TID). The TID had no visible effects on rock surface color, effective porosity and permeability below $300^{\circ}C$ TID level. The permeability enlarged approximately two orders of magnitude as TID increased to $1000^{\circ}C$ level. TID of $700^{\circ}C$ level was a threshold where the influence of TID on the normalized mass and volume of the specimen can be divided into two linear phases. Moreover, no prominent variations in the deformation moduli and peak strength and strain appeared as TID< $500^{\circ}C$ level. It is interesting that the peak strength increased by 24.3% at $700^{\circ}C$ level but decreased by 11.5% at $1000^{\circ}C$ level. The time-related deformation and steady-state creep rate had positive correlations with creep loading and the TID level, whereas the instantaneous modulus showed the opposite. The strain rates under creep failure stresses raised 1-4 orders of magnitude than those at low-stress levels. The permeability was not only dependent on the TID level but also dependent on creep deformation. The TID resulted in large deformation and complexity of failure pattern for the sandstone.

Creep of metals has been explained conventionally by dislocation climb and grain boundary sliding indiffusion controlled process. The reorienations of the atoms in the grain by three dimensional crystallizing $\pi$-bondings are visualized as grain rotatins during slow deformation, fold formatin at triple point, increased crevice dspace between grains. grain boundary sliding, grain boundary micration and formation of cracks at the grain boundaries . And also the rupture time and average creep strain rate are explained by the three-dimensional crystallizing $\pi$- bondings and they can be determined by uniaxial tensile test.
The present paper is concerned with a delamination analysis of a multilayered frame structure that exhibits non-linear creep behavior. A solution to the strain energy release rate is obtained by considering the time-dependent complementary strain energy in the frame. The mechanical behavior of the frame is treated by using a non-linear stress-strain-time relationship. The time-dependent solution to the strain energy release rate obtained in the present paper holds for a multilayered frame made of arbitrary number of adhesively bonded layers of different thicknesses and material properties. Besides, the dealamination is located arbitrary along the thickness. The solution to the strain energy release rate is verifiedby applying the J-integral approach. A parametric study of the strain energy release rate is carried-out. Two three-layered frame configurations are analyzed in order to evaluate the influence of the delamination crack location along the thickness on the strain energy release rate. The strain energy release is analyzed also for the case when a notch is cut-out in the inner delamination crack arm. The results obtained are compared with these for a frame without a notch.
In this paper, fracture analysis of a continuously inhomogeneous arch structure with two longitudinal cracks is developed in terms of the time-dependent strain energy release rate. The arch under consideration exhibits non-linear creep behavior. The cross-section of the arch is a rectangle. The material is continuously inhomogeneous along the thickness of the cross-section. The arch is loaded by two bending moments applied at its end sections. The mechanical behavior of the material is described by using a non-linear stress-strain-time relationship. The two longitudinal cracks are located symmetrically with respect to the mid-span of the arch. Due to the symmetry, only half of the arch is considered. Time-dependent solutions to strain energy release rate are obtained by analyzing the balance of the energy. For verification, time-dependent solutions to the strain energy release rate are derived also by considering the time-dependent complementary strain energy. The evolution of the strain energy release rate with the time is analyzed. The effects of material inhomogeneity, locations of the two cracks along the thickness of the arch and the magnitude of the external loading on the time-dependent strain energy release rate are evaluated.

For two kinds of 25Cr-20Ni stainless steels, STS310J1TB and STS310S with and without a small amount of Nb and N, creep behavior has been studied in a stress and temperature range from 147 to 392 MPa and from 923 to 773 K with a special reference to tertiary creep. The average creep life of STS310J1TB was about 100 times longer than that of the STS310S. The apparent activation energy for the initial creep rate was 330 kJ/mol in STS310J1TB, while that of the STS310S was 274kJ/mol in a power law creep region and 478 kJ/mol in a region of power law breakdown (PLB). The activation energy for STS310S below PLB is close to the for self-diffusion. When compensating for the temperature dependence of the Young's modulus and the omega value, it was found that the apparent activation energy for STS310J1TB was reduced to the activation energy for diffusion of chromium atom in gamma steel. The stress exponent of STS310S was about 12.3 above PLB and 5.1 in a power law creep region. Notwithstanding that the creep condition for STS310J1TB was in a power law creep region, its stress exponent was 7.9 larger than that of STS310S corresponding to the same creep conditions. This was ascribed to the presence of fine precipitates in STS310J1TB.
For two kinds of 25Cr-20Ni stainless steels, SUS310J1TB TB and SUS310S with and without a small amount of Nb and N, creep behavior has been studied in a stress and temperature range from 147 to 392MPa and from 923 to 973K with a special reference to tertiary creep. The average creep life of SUS310J1TB was about 100 times longer than that of the SUS310S. The apparent activation energy for the initial creep rate was 330 kJ/mol in SUS310J1TB, while that of the SUS310S was 274 kJ/mol in a power law creep region and 478 kJ/mol in a region of power law breakdown (PLB). The activation energy for SUS310S below PLB is close to the that for self-diffusion. When compensating for the temperature dependence of the Young's modulus and the omega value, it was found that the apparent activation energy for SUS310J1TB was reduced to the activation energy for diffusion of chromium atom in a gamma steel. The stress exponent of SUS310S was about 12 above PLB and 5.1 in a power law creep region. Notwithstanding that the creep condition for SUS310J1TB was in a power law creep region, its stress exponent was 8.3 larger than that of SUS310S corresponding to the same creep conditions. This was ascribed to the presence of fine precipitates in SUS310J1TB.
