In the past, consumers sought utilitarian and defensive consumption in an attempt to move to a balanced state. However, today's consumers go beyond this to consume more for hedonic and creative reasons if not for sheer pleasure. There is an obvious shift from the type of consumption that satisfies basic desires through the characteristics, convenience and quality of goods and services to an era of 'experiential consumption,' in which consumers pursue distinctive value systems and way of life along with a total 'experience' provided by such goods and services. Such a sign of the times has given birth to the experience design that aims at maximizing the strategic use of experiences in design. Research on this subject is gradually increasing. The research and application peformed even without the proper understanding about the concepts and purposes of experience design, however, is likely to deviate from the true nature in its process or method. Also, they are likely to cause rather than solve problems. Accordingly, this study examined the meaning of experience from a spatial aspect, focusing on areas that recognize the experience as economically valuable, making the most of it substantively. The main concept of experience practical used on-line is enhancement of the usability of a medium by reflecting the experience of users accustomed to both off-line and on-line environments and materializing the environment doser to and more familiar with the users, thus allowing them to comfortably use the medium. This is to allow the users to feel more comfortable. The experience practical used pertaining to off-line is a tool to fulfill the sensitivity of users, with efforts to create new, future-oriented consumer values. This, based on the understanding of consumer behavior, seeks to maximize the consumption experience of consumers by providing a combination of sensual and sensitive experiences as well as to enhance the existing experiences by permitting users to create new, extended experiences from the fixed characteristics of products. Furthermore, it aims to provide consumers with the hedonic experience of play through the joy, fun and uniqueness of alternate experiences.
A recent interesting user experience in social curation websites is that they often encounter unanticipated, valuable information through accidental, incidental, or serendipitous discoveries. Prior research suggests that serendipity can help solve a problem, generate a creative idea, and invent a new product because it allows for an intellectual leap to arrive at a novel insight that is suddenly instrumental to a task. Despite the significant roles, the notion of serendipity is relatively unexplored especially in the context where people actually experience it, such as social curation websites. In this study, we theoretically identified the key technological features of social curation websites, which support three major curation activities respectively: browsing, collection, and interaction. We then examined their impacts on the occurrence of serendipitous discoveries in the process of information seeking. Our results using data collected from real users reveal that the technological features all affected user experience of serendipity and the interaction feature has stronger impacts than the other two. Moreover, it was also found that user experience of serendipity significantly affected website usage behavior such as intention to return and intention to contribute to the website.

The purpose of this research is to investigate Korean popular attitudes and social perceptions of 'sharing economy' terminology at the current moment from a creative or socio-economic point of view. In Korea, this study discovers and interprets the objective and tangible annual changes and patterns of sociocultural collective intelligence that have taken place over the last five years by applying text mining in the big data analysis approach. By crawling and Googling, this study collected a significant amount of time series web meta-data with regard to the theme of the sharing economy on the world wide web from 2010 to 2014. Consequently, huge amounts of raw data concerning sharing economy are processed into the value-added meaningful 'word clouding' form of graphs or figures by using the function of word clouding with R programming. Till now, the lack of accumulated data or collective intelligence about sharing economy notwithstanding, it is worth nothing that this study carried out preliminary research on conducting a time-series big data analysis from the perspective of knowledge management and processing. Thus, the results of this study can be utilized as fundamental data to help understand the academic and industrial aspects of future sharing economy-related markets or consumer behavior.

To predict behaviors of offshore wind turbines which are highly laterally loaded structures and to design them rationally, evaluating the soil-foundation interaction is important. Nowadays, there are many soil modeling methods for structural analysis of general structures subjected to vertical loads, but using the methods without any consideration for design of a monopile foundation is eschewed because it might cause wrong structural design due to the deferent loading state. In this paper, we identify the differences of the member forces and displacements by design methods. The results show that fixed end method is barely suitable for monopile design in terms of checking the serviceability because it underestimate the lateral displacement. Fixed end method and stiffness matrix method underestimate the member forces, whereas virtual fixed end method overestimates them. The results of p-y curve method and coefficient of subgrade reaction method are similar to the results of 3D soil modeling method, and 2D soil modeling method overestimates the displacement and member forces as compared with other methods.

This study covers an investigation using meta-analysis of the factors related to the effects of singing activities for children, focusing on the dissertations conducted for master and doctor degrees and the studies published in academic journals over the past 16 years. Ameta-regression analysis was conducted to examine the changes of the factors in each published year. The analysis results were as follows: Both the entire effect size and the groups of singing activity related factors were revealed to have significant effect sizes. While the group of social factors and the group of cultural & artistic factors showed large effect sizes, the group of psychological & emotional factors appeared to have an intermediate effect size. The sub-factors of the group of social factors were shown to have significantly larger effect sizes than the others, except for the factor of capability of recognizing others. Among the sub-factors, naturally friendly behavior showed relatively larger effect size than the others. In the sub-factors of the group of psychological & emotional factors, self-expression capability and self-control capability showed large effect sizes and stress suppression and emotional intelligence showed intermediate effect sizes. Among the sub-factors of the group of cultural & artistic factors, except for creative capability which showed an intermediate effect size, all of the sub-factors showed large effect sizes. According to the results of the analysis of the trend of the effect size changes in each published year, the trends of the entire effect size and the effect size of each factor, such as the groups of social factors, psychological & emotional factors and cultural & artistic factors, showed that the activity effects increase as the publication year comes closer to the most recent year.
Fashion needs to be understood as practicality and creative behavior and various movements of paintings act as inspirations of original design for fashion designers. This study seeks to find sources of fashion designs in the works of Mark Rothko who is in the center of color-field abstract. Color-field of Rothko provides infinite inspirations as colors are identically treated as shapes and lighting and textures are all included on top of it. In this study, the purpose is to create color focused artistic fashion design by exploring the possibility of expression with the colors of Rothko as the main motive. The study method is as follows. First, the concept and significance of color-field abstract are researched through documented data. Works of Rothko is divided into three periods according to their characteristics. The background of the formation of color-field abstract of Rothko is understood by analyzing the trends of the works in each period. Second, twenty representative works from 1949 to 1969 are selected and analyzed in formative components of color, shape and textures in order to more accurately understand shape of colors, brilliance, simplicity that appear in the mature color-field abstract of Rothko. Third, preexisting methods of color-field of paintings developed into motives of clothing are studied focusing on the collections from 1997 to 2006. Examples of applications of color-field images in modern fashion designs are analyzed. Fourth, motives are selected based on general characteristics of color-field abstract of Rothko and the results of the formative analysis. Clothing is produced that expresses the colors of the paintings of Rothko more effectively. As the results of the study, restrained shapes and textures and various forms of color combinations shown in color-field abstract of Rothko provided deep inspirations on material composition and color planning for fashion design focused on colors. Additionally, needle-punching technique using wool for the production technique enabled relief texture expressions of materials by colors and effective applications of soft and warm atmosphere of color-field abstract of Rothko on clothing. Especially, the ideology of color-field abstract of Rothko of shaping of colors could be expressed and the direction of the development of motives could be presented at the same time by specifically applying color combination method using horizontal division of atypical color-field from the formative characteristics of color-field abstract of Rothko.
The internship is essential for the music therapy curriculum and affords interns the opportunity to apply their classroom-based knowledge and skills to real-world clinical settings. However, challenges associated with the internship can result in interns undergoing trial-and-error learning, interpersonal conflicts, and intrapersonal difficulties. An experiential music therapy group may be useful in helping interns process these incidents and develop their personal and professional skills. We explored the experiences of music therapy interns participating in therapeutic song writing. In this study, five music interns completed two 4-hour sessions of therapeutic song writing. Following the second session, a group interview was conducted with participants to gather data on their experiences. The interview was recorded, transcribed, and analyzed. Six themes and 18 sub-themes were derived from the data. The six themes were preconceptions of therapeutic song writing, meaningful lyric creation, challenges in song composition, structured experiences during song writing process, development of self-awareness through music, and relational experiences resulting from the group process. Participants were able to incorporate their individual internship experiences into a single song by communicating with group members during the step-by-step process. Participation in therapeutic song writing was found to help music therapy interns identify and process challenges encountered during their internship and further their personal and professional development.

Experiments on laminar mixed convection in a vertical pipe were performed for the Re range 1,000-3,000, the $Gr_H$ range $10^5-10^8$, the Pr range 2,000-7,000, and aspect ratio range 1-7. Using the analogy concept, heat transfer systems were simulated by mass transfer systems. A cupric acid.copper sulfate electroplating system was adopted as the mass transfer system, and the mass transfer rates were measured. The measured Nu values were far greater than those previously reported because of the large value of pr in this experiment. As the aspect ratio in this study was not sufficiently large for the flow to be fully developed, the test results were similar to those for mixed convection on a vertical plate rather than that inside a long vertical pipe. It was concluded that the behavior of laminar mixed convection of a developing flow in a vertical pipe at a low aspect ratio and low $Gr_H$ is similar to that of laminar mixed convection in the vertical plate. As the aspect ratio and $Gr_H$ increase, the laminar mixed convection phenomena becomes similar to that observed in a fully developed flow in the vertical pipe.
The purpose of this study was to find out the difference between importance and performance regarding perception of core competence of gifted education teachers through importance-performance analysis (IPA). One hundred fourteen elementary gifted education teachers including math and science participated in the study. The collected survey data was analyzed with IPA matrix. As the result, firstly, there was significant difference between importance and performance regarding perception of core competence of gifted education teachers. Secondly, core competencies of 'understanding knowledge', 'research and instruction', 'passion and motivation', and 'ethics' are high in both perceptions of importance and performance. However, both 'communication and practices' and 'professional curriculum development' are low. Thirdly, there was a difference in core competence of gifted education teachers between math and science at the competence of 'passion and motivation'. Math gifted education teachers perceived 'passion and motivation' high in both importance and performance while science gifted education teachers perceived its importance low and performance high. In addition, math gifted education teachers showed lower performance compared to its importance in the sub-categories; 'knowledge of gifted development', 'gifted child assessment', 'information gathering and its literacy', and 'creative answers to various questions'. However, science gifted education teachers showed lower performance compared to its importance in sub-categories; 'higher-order thinking skills in its subject', 'teaching methodology for self-directed learning', 'problem behavior of the gifted', and 'counseling the gifted'.

With the COVID-19 pandemic, the global economy has stagnated and our daily lives have changed. The rural economy is also experiencing damage, such as an average of 65% or more decrease in the number of visitors to rural experience resort villages due to the spread of COVID-19. In order to minimize the damage arising from the prolonged coronavirus, a hospitality system in response to changes in rural tourism behavior and consumer demand is needed to revitalize rural areas and maintain continuous economic independence. Therefore, this study attempted to find ways to utilize landscape resources such as education, culture, history, and ecology in order to complement the existing experience programs in connection with local resources and local environment. Wibong Village, which is the subject of the study, attempted to revitalize the village using the resources through the "Creative village creation" project in 2015. Due to poor management of historical resources, difficulty in operating experience programs, and response to changes in the natural environment, the rate of implementation of the project plan was very low. Currently, the demand for experience is also decreasing due to the COVID-19 effect, so it was judged that it was necessary to develop an experience village program suitable for the needs of experienced visitors by discovering additional local resources for the continuous operation of the experience village. In order to solve the problem of the use of landscape resources and the spatial composition of the study site, additional investigations of local resources were made, and an experience program course that could be operated by theme was proposed by configuring a space suitable for the use of landscape resources. By dividing the additionally investigated landscape resources into history, ecology, and region, an experiential course was created to separate the traffic lines, and the space composition for large-scale experienced visitors that had been previously operated was constructed in a form suitable for the post-corona era. In addition, at least two experiential tour courses that can be operated by period were proposed to maintain economic effects. Starting with this study, if further research on the creation and spatial composition of a rural experience village centered on the connection with the region, it will be used as research results that can be referenced in projects such as village creation, rural space planning, and living area analysis. It is expected that it will be able to effectively cope with the construction of a rural area suitable for the post-corona era, where demand is expected to increase in the future.
