  • Recently mobile communication fields need piezoelectric ceramic resonators and filters as possible as small. The length-extensional vibration mode of a rectangular piezoelectric cesamic plate has the advantage of the small size, but the mode has not been studied sufficiently because it was not used extensively until now. In this paper, PZT + x[wt%l $Cr_20_3$ ceramics with rhombohedra1 phase were fabricated. And temperature stability for the mode of the ceramic specimen was investigated. Contrary to our expectations, addition of the stabilizer, $Cr_20_3$ did not promote the temperature stability for the mode in the PZT ceramic specimen with rhombohedra1 phase.

Crystal Growth of rutiles doped with Impurity Ions by Floating Zone Method (부유대용융법에 의한 불순이온 주입된 $TiO_2$단결정 성장 연구)

  • 부유대용융법에 의하여 불순이온의 종류와 각 이온의 주입 농도를 달리하는 Rutile 단결정을 성장하였다. 성장된 결정으로부터 제조한 박편시료를 이용하여 결정결함과 광투과도에 미치는 각 불순이온의 영향을 조사하였다. 결정성장용 주원료로 99.99%의 TiO2를 사용하고, 불순이온 주입을 위한 원료로서 99.99%의 Al2O3, H3BO3, Ga2O3, Sc2O3, V2O5, Fe2O3, ZrO2, Er2O3, Cr2O3를 각각 사용하였다. 불순이온의 종류에 따르는 영향을 조사하기 위하여 TiO2 99.8 atomic%-불순이온 0.2atomic%의 조성이 되도록 각 이온별로 원료를 정밀하게 평량하고 균일 혼합하였다. 불순 이온의 첨가량에 따르는 영향을 조사하기 위하여 Al2O3는 각각 pure, 0.2, 0.4, 0.6 atomic%를, Cr2O3는 pure, 0.003, 0.05, 0.2 atomic%를 각각 치환하여 원료를 조합하였다. 균일 혼합된 원료를 직경 8mm의 고무 튜브에 넣고 CIP(Cold Isostatic Press0에서 2000kg/$\textrm{cm}^2$의 압력으로 성형한 후 150$0^{\circ}C$에서 1시간 소결함으로서 결정성장용 다결정 원료를 합성하였다. 합성된 다결정을 double ellipsoidal mirror 내에 설치하고,halogen lamp로 가열하여 원료의 한쪽 끝을 용융한 다음, 20rpm의 회전속도, 3-5mm/hr의 성장속도로 하는 유속 1$\ell$/min의 O2 분위기속에서 부유대용융법에 의하여 결정을 성장하였다. 성장된 결정을 성장축에 수직한 방향으로 각각 절단, 연삭, 연마한 박편을 이용하여 편광하에서 low-angle grain boundaries 및 기타의 결정결함을 관찰하였으며, 0.3$\mu\textrm{m}$~0.8$\mu\textrm{m}$ 범위 및 0.6$\mu\textrm{m}$~3.4$\mu\textrm{m}$ 범위에서의 투과 및 흡수 스펙트럼을 측정하였다. 결정 성장 결과 B3+, Er3+, Cr3+ 이온은 Ti4+ 이온과 이온의 크기 차이가 심하여 결정의 정상적인 성장을 방해하는 물성을 나타냈고, V5+, Cr3+ 이온은 흑색의 결정, Fe3+ 이온은 적갈색의 결정으로 성장되었다. Al3+, Zr4+, Al3+의 순서로 투과도가 높아지는 것이 관찰되었다. 불순이온의 농도에 따른 영향으로서 Al3+ 이온의 경우 주입농도가 높아질수록 low angle boundary와 oxygen deficiency가 감소하였고, 투과율은 조금 감소하거나 큰 차이가 없는 것으로 나타났다. 반면에 Cr3+ 이온을 주입한 경우 0.003 atomic%에서 최적의 물성을 보였으며, 주입농도가 높아질수록 결정성장이 어려워지고 광의 투과도가 급격히 저하되었다.

  • Optical properties of $T_{0.2}Fe_{2.8}O_4$ (T = V, Cr, Mn) thin films derived from ferrimagnetic $Fe_3O_4$ were investigated by spectroscopic ellipsometry in the 1~8 eV photon-energy range. The difference in optical-absorption spectrum between the ternary compounds and $Fe_3O_4$ was analyzed based on preferable sites in spinel structure and iconicity of the doped V, Cr, and Mn ions. The observed absorption spectra from $Fe_3O_4$ and the ternary compounds can be interpreted as mainly due to charge-transfer transitions of Fe d electrons characterized by absorption structures with wide energy width. Also, the observed absorption structures with narrow energy width can be interpreted as due to crystal-field transitions between different d electron configurations of tetrahedral $Fe^{3+}(d^5)$ ion. The transitions were described in terms of spin-polarized electronic states of $Fe_3O_4$.

Effect of KCl(s) and K2SO4(s) on Oxidation Characteristics of the 2.25Cr-1Mo Steel in 10%O2+10%CO2 Gas Environment at 650 ℃ (650 ℃의 10%O2+10%CO2 가스 환경에서 2.25Cr-1Mo강의 산화특성에 미치는 KCl(s)과 K2SO4(s)의 영향)

  • In this study, the effects of KCl(s) and K2SO4(s) on the oxidation characteristics of 2.25Cr-1Mo steel were investigated for 500 h in 10O2 + 10CO2 (vol%) gas environmen at 650 ℃. Oxidation kinetics were characterized by weight gain, oxide layer thickness, and fitted models for the experiment data were proposed. The fitted models presented considerable agreement with the experimental data. The oxide layer was analyzed using the scanning electron microscope, optical microscope, and energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy. The oxidation kinetics of 2.25Cr-1Mo steel with KCl and K2SO4 coatings showed significantly different oxidation kinetics. KCl accelerated the oxidation rate very much and had linear oxidation behavior. In contrast, K2SO4 had no significant effect, which had parabolic kinetics. The oxide layer was commonly composed of Fe2O3, Fe3O4, and FeCr2O4 spinel. KCl strongly accelerated the oxidation rates of 2.25Cr-1Mo steel in the high-temperature oxidation environment. Conversely, K2SO4 had little effect on the oxidation rates.

  • [ $Ni-10wt.\%Cr$ ] green sheet를 불활성분위기로 $900^{\circ}C$까지 승온시킨 다음 부분산화$(P_{H2}/P_{H2O}=10^{-2})$$1100^{\circ}C$에서 3시간 환원처리를 시키는 소결공정으로 Ni-Cr 고용체 기지 주변에 작은 $Cr_2O_3$ 알갱이가 고르게 분포하는 anode(Anode Sintered in Partial oxidation - Reduction atmosphere; ASPR)를 제조하였으며, creep 변형률이 $2.8\%$로서 미세구조에 따른 creep 특성의 비교를 위해 기존의 환원분위기에서만 소결시킨 anode(Anode Sintered in Reduction atmosphere only; ASR)의 $11\%$보다 우수한 creep 저항성을 나타내었다. $Cr_2O_3$ 알갱이가 분산된 미세구조른 부분산화 시 Cr과 Ni의 산화속도 및 확산속도의 차이로 인해 형성되는 것으로 사료되며, creep 전${\cdot}$후 ASPR 시편의 SEM 및 기공률 분석결과 매우 안정적으로 그 형상 및 구조를 유지하고 있음을 확인할 수 있었다. 또한 ASPR 시편의 전기전도도는 약 $15\times10^6\;S/m$로서 기존 ASR 시편의 전기전도도와 유사함을 알 수 있었다.

Electrical and Dielectric Properties of Zn-Pr-Co-Cr-Dy Oxides-based Varistors (Zn-Pr-Co-Cr-Dy 산화물계 바리스터의 전기적, 유전적 특성)

  • The microstructure and electrical characteristics of Zn-Pr-Co-Cr-Dy oxides-based varistors were investigated with Dy$_2$ $O_3$ content in the range of 0.0∼2.0 ㏖%. As Dy$_2$ $O_3$ content is increased, the average grain size was decreased in the range of 18.2∼4.6 $\mu\textrm{m}$ and the ceramic density was decreased in the range of 5.49∼4.64 g/㎤. The incorporation of Dy$_2$ $O_3$ markedly enhanced the nonlinear properties of varistors more than 9 times in nonlinear exponent, compared with the varistor without Dy$_2$ $O_3$ The varistor with 0.5∼1.0 ㏖% Dy$_2$ $O_3$ exhibited the high nonlinearity, in which the nonlinear exponent is above 55 and the leakage current is below 1.0 ${\mu}\textrm{A}$. The donor concentration and the density of interface states were decreased in the range of (4.66∼0.25)${\times}$10$\^$18//㎤ and (5.70∼1.39)${\times}$10$\^$12//$\textrm{cm}^2$, respectively, with increasing Dy$_2$ $O_3$ content. The minimum dielectric dissipation factor of 0.0023 was obtained for 0.5 ㏖% Dy$_2$ $O_3$, but further addition of Dy$_2$ $O_3$ increased it.

The Oxidation of CrN Films Arc-ion Plated on a Steel Substrate (강 기판위에 아크이온 플레이팅된 CrN박막의 산화)

  • CrN films were deposited onto STD61 steel substrates using an arc-ion plating apparatus, with and without ion-nitriding pretreatment, and their oxidation was studied between 700 and $900^{\circ}C$ for 40hr in air. The oxidation behavior was examined by thermogravimetric analyses, X-ray diffraction. EDS and SEM. The deposited CrN films consisted of CrN and $Cr_2$N phases. The CrN films increased the oxidation resistance of the substrate by forming a protective $Cr_2$$O_3$ layer. The ion-nitriding pretreatment has not affected the oxidation resistance of the CrN film.

Tribological Performance of A1203/Ni0r Coating

  • The tribological performance of A1$_2$O$_3$/NiCr coating deposited on steel (SH45C) was investigated under lubrication. The parameters of sliding wear consist of normal load and coating thickness. Test result showed that there was no evidence of an improved bonding strength in the coating. However, the wear resistance of the A1$_2$O$_3$/NiCr coaling was significantly greater than that of the Al$_2$O$_3$ coating. It was eviclent that the residual stress for the A1$_2$O$_3$coating was higher than that of the A1$_2$O$_3$/NiCr coating from the Scratch test failure of coating. The bond coating played an important role in decreasing the residual stress. Also, it was found that the residual stress had d notable influence on the wear mechanism.

  • The multi function sprayed coating is used for direct-heating, wear resistance and high bonding strength. The merits of surface direct-heating coatings are short warming time, low power consumption and better wear resistance that can be used in many organization parts. In this study, the surface direct-heating and wear resistance can be improved by spraying the proper materials on the surface $Al_2$O$_3$40%TiO$_2$ powder and Ni-20%Cr powder that had the properties of conduction and high wear resistivity are used in order to improve wear resistance, electrical properties and bonding strength.

  • 핫프레스법으로 제작된 0.05Pb(M $n_{1}$3/N $b_{2}$3/) $O_{3}$+ 0.95Pb(Z $r_{0.47}$ $Ti_{0.53}$) $O_{3}$ 세라믹스에 있어서 C $r_{2}$ $O_{3}$의 첨가량이 그 시편의 구조적특성, 유전특성, 압전특성, 온도안정성 및 포아손비에 미치는 영향이 조사되었다. C $r_{2}$ $O_{3}$의 첨가량의 범위가 0.3~0/75[wt%]인 시편만이 포아손비가 1/3이상으로 주파수저하형 에너지포획소자의 기판으로 사용될 수 있으며 이 중에서 C $r_{2}$ $O_{3}$의 첨가량이 0.5[wt%]인 시편이 보다 우수한 압전특성과 안정된 주파수 온도특성을 갖고 있다. 있다.
