염화물에 의한 철근콘크리트 구조물의 철근부식 정도의 조사 및 평가 (An Investigation and Evaluation of Steel Corrosion Due to Chlorides in Concrete Structure)

  • This study is performed for the purpose of obtaining the fundamental datum to analyse the cause of steel corrosion in concrete and establish the repair strategies of deteriorated reinforced concrete structures due to steel corrosion. To investigate the degree of concrete deterioration, soluble chloride content in harden concrete, the depth of carbonation, cover depth and compressive strength are measured. The progress of corrosion of concrete bridge is electrochemically evaluated. The result shows that in approximately 43% of the structures below -350mV(vs. CSE), the exessive chloride contents is a direct cause of steel corrosion in reinforced concrete structures.

Combinatorial continuous non-stationary critical excitation in M.D.O.F structures using multi-peak envelope functions

  • The main objective of critical excitation methods is to reveal the worst possible response of structures. This goal is accomplished by considering the uncertainties of ground motion, which is subjected to the appropriate constraints, such as earthquake power and intensity limit. The concentration of this current study is on the theoretical optimization aspect, as is the case with the majority of conventional critical excitation methods. However, these previous studies on critical excitation lead to a discontinuous power spectral density (PSD). This paper introduces some critical excitations which contain proper continuity in frequency domain. The main idea for generating such continuous excitations stems from the combination of two continuous functions. On the other hand, in order to provide a non-stationary model, this paper attempts to present an appropriate envelope function, which unlike the previous envelope functions, can properly cover the natural earthquakes' accelerograms based on multi-peak conditions. Finally, the proposed method is developed into the multiple-degree-of-freedom (M.D.O.F) structures.

입환기관차의 LCC 평가분석 (Life-Cost-Cycle Evaluation Analysis of the Shunting Locomotive)

  • The deterioration of a shunting locomotive was characterized for the lifetime assessment. The locomotive has been used for shunting works in steel making processes, and in this investigation, various types of technical evaluation methods for the locomotive parts were employed to assess the current deterioration status and to provide important clue for lifetime prediction. Unlike other rolling stocks in railway applications, the diesel shunting locomotive is composed of major components such as diesel engine, transmission, gear box, brake system, electronic devices, etc., which cover more than 70 percent of the total price of the locomotive. Therefore, in this paper, each part of major components in the diesel locomotive was analyzed in terms of the degree of deterioration. The lift-cycle-cost (LCC) analysis was performed based on the maintenance and repair history as compared with economical cost to provide the cost-effective prediction, i.e., to assess either repair for reuse or putting the locomotive out of service based on cost-effective calculation.

저마찰 고속형 공기압 실린더의 설계에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Design of a Low-Friction, High-Speed Pneumatic Cylinder)

  • Of all of pneumatic components utilized in the make up of pneumatic circuits on either automatic assembly machine or industrial equipment, the pneumatic cylinder is more oriented toward being a structural as well as a pneumatic member. The structural design must be based to a large degree on the end of application of the cylinder on the equipment it is operating. In this paper, design studies of a double-acting pneumatic cushion type cylinder with low-friction and high-speed driving have been developed. Of interest here is to investigate the structural analysis of cylinder tube, piston rod, end cover, and to analyze the buckling of piston rod. Also, a relief valve type cushion mechanism is considered. This cushion mechanism is found to be adequate under a high-speed driving of pneumatic cylinders.

EXPLICIT EQUATIONS FOR MIRROR FAMILIES TO LOG CALABI-YAU SURFACES

  • Mirror symmetry for del Pezzo surfaces was studied in [3] where they suggested that the mirror should take the form of a Landau-Ginzburg model with a particular type of elliptic fibration. This argument came from symplectic considerations of the derived categories involved. This problem was then considered again but from an algebro-geometric perspective by Gross, Hacking and Keel in [8]. Their construction allows one to construct a formal mirror family to a pair (S, D) where S is a smooth rational projective surface and D a certain type of Weil divisor supporting an ample or anti-ample class. In the case where the self intersection matrix for D is not negative semi-definite it was shown in [8] that this family may be lifted to an algebraic family over an affine base. In this paper we perform this construction for all smooth del Pezzo surfaces of degree at least two and obtain explicit equations for the mirror families and present the mirror to dP2 as a double cover of ℙ2.

  • It has been said that concrete materials are useful and necessary when children learn mathematics. But it has been proved by several researches teachers don’t often use them even if they agree that they are useful. This article focuses on the lack of systematic and applicable research on manipulatives. Therefore, it tries to identify the state of current research and to present the concrete domains which need more study in the future, in order to induce both qualitative and quantitative research. The following nine domains cover almost all the research on manipulatives so far affect of manipulatives on achievement. types of learners, mathematical topics, subjects of operation, variety of mainipulatives, instructional method, degree of involvement of mainpulatives in class, selection criteria, and place for use.

  • 단백질 수용액 중의 초음파흡수 mechanism을 규명하기 위하여 pH 7의 소혈청 albumin(BSA)수용액의 초음파흡수 측정을 주파수 100 kHz에서 1600 MHz에 걸쳐 행하였다. 측정방법은 plano-concave 공명법(0.1${\sim}$10 MHz)과 고분해능 Bragg 반사법(120${\sim}$1600 MHz)을 사용하였다. pH7에서의 초음파흡수스펙트럼은 Davidson-Cole 분포식의 거울상인 분포함수를 사용한 완화곡선과 일치하였다. 이 완화현상을 BSA 분자의 수화평행에 의한 것으로 해석하였다.

연약지반 개량 시공의 실제와 문제점 (The Reality and Problem of Soft Ground Improvement Construction)

  • During recent years, the large soft ground improvements very rapidly increase with industrial development and it is the types and scales of structure that is enlarged by degree. Then, we must enter construct equipment to improve soft ground and we fulfilled works by carrying out soft clay soil to gain trafficability for them. For improving the soft ground, we lay geotextile on soft clay ground and fill the filter sand that can drain the pore water. Then, we landfill cover soil for come by trafficability of construction tools. Ater that we penetrate vertical drain for dehydration through soft ground. there are very complicated works. For these reason we suggest the methods of soft ground improvement constructions.

고속 공기압 쿠션 실린더의 설계에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Design of a High-Speed Pneumatic Cushion Cylinder)

The structural design must be based to a large degree on the end of application of the cylinder on the equipment it is operating. In this paper, design studies of a double-acting pneumatic cushion type cylinder with low-friction and high-speed driving have been developed. Of interest here is to investigate the stress and strain analysis of cylinder tube, piston rod, end cover, and to analyze the buckling of piston rod. A finite element analysis is carried out to compute the distribution of the displacement, stress and safety factors by using ANSYS. As a result, the structural safety factors of each parts in pneumatic cushion cylinder are evaluated and confirmed at the design specifications.
