We evaluated the availability of Origin-Destination Matrix from traffic counts Using conjugate gradient method to large scale networks by applying it to the networks in 246 zones. As a result of the analysis of the consistency of the model on Nationwide Networks, the upper and lower levels in model had the systematic relationship internally. From the analysis of the estimable power or the model according to the number of traffic counting links, the error in traffic volume had the estimable power in the range of permissible error. In addition, the estimable power of estimation of an Origin-Destination Matrix was more satisfactory than that of existing methods. We conclude that conjugate gradient method cab be applied to nationwide networks if we can make sure that the algorithm of the developed model is reliable by doing various kinds of experiment.

Objective : The aim of this study is to evaluate the five-factor model of personality in patients with obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) related to obsessive-compulsive symptom severity and the distinct symptom subgroups. Methods : We recruited 95 patients with OCD and 116 normal controls in the study. We used the short version of Revised NEO Personality Inventory and the Yale-Brown Obsessive Compulsive Scale (Y-BOCS) for the assessment. Results : Patients with OCD showed significantly higher scores in neuroticism than normal controls. On multiple linear regression analysis, we found that agreeableness and conscientiousness were associated with the total Y-BOCS scores. On subscale analysis, agreeableness and neuroticism were associated with the obsession subscale scores and only conscientiousness was associated with the compulsion subscale scores. Furthermore, we found that patients who have contamination/cleaning or symmetry/ordering/counting/arranging as a main symptom presentation had significantly higher mean scores in conscientiousness than patients who have harm due to injury/violence/aggression as a main symptom presentation. Conclusion : In this study, we found that specific personality factors are associated with the obsessive-compulsive symptom severity. In addition, this is the first study to investigate the relationship between the personality factors in the five-factor model and the distinct symptom subgroups in OCD.
Many companies are adopting Information System (IS) operation outsourcing to focus on their core competencies and enhance operational efficiency. However, most of them employ a headcount-based pricing model, which often leads to exhaustive negotiations over contract costs without objective criteria or systematic frameworks. This headcount-based outsourcing contract environment results in low motivation/incentives for both client companies and IT service providers to improve productivity, efficiency, and quality, which poses challenges in securing a competitive advantage. This study introduces the development process of an IS operation outsourcing pricing model, which was collaboratively developed and agreed upon for implementation in actual contracts by an IT service company of a conglomerate. Also, the study underscores the activities undertaken to secure IT service competitiveness based on this model so as to deliver a practical guide for companies seeking to transition their outsourcing contract methods.
Post-weaning diarrhea (PWD), mostly caused by enterotoxigenic Escherichia coli (ETEC), remains to be a major source of economic loss in swine industry. The use of the ETEC-oral challenge model is often applied to mimic unsanitary commercial swine farm conditions where pathogens and unknown complex microbes exist and can cause severe infections in pigs. The purpose of this study was (1) to estimate ETEC density using spectrophotometric computation, (2) to determine survivability of ETEC after storing at $-20^{\circ}C$ for 7 days, and (3) to evaluate survivability of ETEC after blending with diluted sweeteners (0, 5, 10, 20, and 40% sucrose in phosphate buffered saline [PBS]). Cell density was quantified using UV-VIS spectrophotometer and counting ETEC colony forming units (cfu) at 0, 30, 60, 90, 120, 150, 180, 210, and 240 min. The established linear equation ($y=0.0031x^2-0.0079x+0.0043$ and $y=0.0046x^2-0.0151x+0.0113$) was used for robust quantification of each ETEC cell density. ETEC stored at $-20^{\circ}C$ showed 108 cfu/mL after thawing and incubation. When ETEC was blended with sweeteners (20 and 40%), survival of ETEC was decreased by 58 and 54% in 5 min post blending. However, addition of 20% of sweetener resulted in a higher survivability than those with other media concentrations. Therefore, the use of ETEC-oral challenge model would be possible as a stable method if we could confirm the appropriate medium that increases survivability of ETEC in weaner pigs.
Objectives : This study was conducted to determine the analgesic effect of Acanthopanax sessiliflorus using the model of neuropathic pain and formalin-induced pain. Methods : A model of neuropathic pain was made by injuring the tibial nerve and sural nerve while the common peroneal nerve was maintained. After 2 weeks, the Acanthopanax sessiliflorus was orally administered to rats. The author performed behavioral teststo try out mechanical allodynia using von frey filament and cold allodynia using acetone, which are calculated by counting withdrawal response on foot. Thirty minutes after the Acanthopanax sessiliflorus injection in the abdominal cavity, the formalin test was performed. 2% formalin in a volume of $20{\mu}l$was injected subcutaneously into the plantar surface of the hindpaw with 26-G needle. To access formalin-induced pain behavior, paw licking time was measured every 5 min. Results : The Acanthopanax sessiliflorus 400mg/10ml/kg group showed significant decrease the withdrawal response of mechanical allodynia using von frey filament in the 10min, 30min, 60min and 120min increments compared with the control group. There were no significant differences in each group in the withdrawal response of cold allodynia using acetone. The Acanthopanax sessiliflorus group showed significant decrease in the formalin-induced pain behavior in the 15min, 20min and 25min increments compared with the control group. Conclusions : The Acanthopanax sessiliflorus may have a significant analgesic effect on the general pain as well as nerve injury pain.

Objective : We have studied to know effects of Ligigeopoongsan(LGS, 理氣祛風散) on mechanical allodynia, cold allodynia and c-Fos protein expression in the model of neuropathic pain of rats. Methods : The model of neuropathic pain was made by injured tibial nerve and sural never while common peroneal never was maintained. After 2weeks, we performed behavioral test for 7 days to try out mechanical allodynia using von frey filament and cold allodynia using acetone, which are calculated by counting withdrawal response on foot. Rat brains removed and sliced on 8th days. Serial sections were immunohistochemically reacted with polyclonal c-Fos antibody. The numbers of c-Fos protein immunoreactive neurons in the central gray were examined using scion image program. Results : 1. Mechanical allodynia in LGS-2, LGS-3 groups were significantly diminished compared with the control group. 2. Cold allodynia in LGS-3 group was significantly diminished compared with the control group. 3. c-Fos protein expression on the central gray LGS-2, LGS-3 groups were significantly lower than that of control group. conclusions : We have noticed that LGS(理氣祛風散) diminished mechanical and cold allodynia in the model of neuropathic pain compared with the control group. c-Fos protein expression in the central gray of that group was also decreased compared with the control group. Pain control group were LGS was accumulated time goes by. This study can be used as a basic resource on a study and a treatment of pain.
To visually and chemically verify the rainout of soot particles, a model experiment was carried out with the cylindrical chamber (0.2 m (D) and 4 m (H)) installing a cloud drop generator, a hydrotherometer, a particle counter, a drop collector, a diffusing drier, and an artificial soot particle distributer. The processes of the model experiment were as follows; generating artificial cloud droplets (major drop size : $12-14{\mu}m$) until supersaturation reach at 0.52%-nebulizing of soot particles (JIS Z 8901) with an average size of $0.5{\mu}m$-counting cloud condensation nuclei (CCN) particles and droplets by OPC and the fixation method (Ma et al., 2011; Carter and Hasegawa, 1975), respectively - collecting of individual cloud drops - observation of individual cloud drops by SEM - chemical identifying of residual particle in each individual droplet by SEM-EDX. After 10 minutes of the completion of soot particle inject, the number concentrations of PM of all sizes (> $0.3{\mu}m$) dramatically decreased. The time required to return to the initial conditions, i.e., the time needed to CCN activation for the fed soot particles was about 40 minutes for the PM sized from $0.3-2.0{\mu}m$. The EDX spectra of residual particles left at the center of individual droplet after evaporation suggest that the soot particles seeded into our experimental chamber obviously acted as CCN. The coexistence of soot and mineral particle in single droplet was probably due to the coalescence of droplets (i.e., two droplets embodying different particles (in here, soot and background mineral particles) were coalesced) or the particle capture by a droplet in our CCN chamber.
The goal of this study was to determine whether gypenosides (GPS) exert protective effects against dopaminergic neuronal cell death in a 6-hydroxydopamine (OHDA)-lesioned rat model of Parkinson's disease (PD) with or without long-term 3,4-dihydroxyphenylalanine (L-DOPA) treatment. Rats were injected with 6-OHDA in the substantia nigra to induce PD-like symptoms; 14 days after injection, groups of 6-OHDA-lesioned animals were treated for 21 days with GPS (25 or 50 mg/kg) and/or L-DOPA (20 mg/kg). Dopaminergic neuronal cell death was assessed by counting tyrosine hydroxylase (TH)-immunopositive cells in the substantia nigra and measuring levels of dopamine, norepinephrine, 3,4-dihydroxyphenylacetic acid (DOPAC), and homovanillic acid (HVA) in the striatum. Dopaminergic neuronal cell death induced by 6-OHDA lesions was ameliorated by GPS treatment (50 mg/kg). L-DOPA treatment exacerbated 6-OHDA-induced dopaminergic neuronal cell death; however, these effects were partially reversed by GPS treatment (25 and 50 mg/kg). These results suggest that GPS treatment is protective against dopaminergic neuronal cell death in a 6-OHDA-lesioned rat model of PD with long-term L-DOPA treatment. Therefore, GPS may be useful as a phytotherapeutic agent for the treatment of PD.

In this study, three parameters (Pressure ($X_1$), Airflow rate ($X_2$), Operation time ($X_3$)) were experimentally designed and the predicted model and optimal conditions were established by using the terminal rise velocity of the microbubbles as the response value. The polynomial regression analysis showed that the optimum value for the terminal rise velocity at the Pressure ($X_1$) of 4.5 bar, Airflow rate ($X_2$) of 3.3 L/min and Operation time ($X_3$) of 2.2 min was 5.14 cm/min ($85.7{\mu}m/sec$). Also, the highest microbubble diameter size distribution in the range of 2 to $5{\mu}m$ and 25 to $50{\mu}m$ was confirmed by using a laser particle counting apparatus.

Crowdedness management at subway platforms is essential to improve services, including the prevention of train delays and ensuring passenger safety. Establishing effective crowdedness mitigation measures for platforms requires accurate estimation of the congestion level. There are temporal and spatial constraints since crowdedness on subway platforms is assessed at certain locations every 1-2 years by hand counting. However, smart cards generate real-time big data 24 hours a day and could be used in estimating congestion. This study proposes a model based on data from transit cards to estimate crowdedness dynamically. Crowdedness was defined as demand, which can be translated into passengers dynamically moving along a subway network. The trajectory of an individual passenger can be identified through this model. Passenger flow that concentrates or disperses at a platform is also calculated every minute. Lastly, the platform congestion level is estimated based on effective waiting areas for each platform structure.
