The purpose of this study was to explore the experiences of counselors who conducted video counseling using digital mask. To this end, the contents of the focus group interview with four counselors who experienced mask video counseling for a total of 10 Korean college student clients were analyzed using thematic analysis method. Participant counselors reported that they had been concerned about mask video counseling before the start but gradually be adjusted to the method. Since they have observed the rapid self-disclosure of the clients and smooth counseling process, they positively predicted the possibility of digital masks as a therapeutic media. They also mentioned the need for additional education and training for the counselors who are using the new on-line counseling media. Therefore, various supports for proactive responses of counselors to online counseling media need to be explored.
The purpose of this study was to develop a motivational interviewing (MI) training program to improve competency in communication and to effect the evaluated changes that would occur in dental students' counseling techniques as result of the training in the program. The study proceeded through the program via role-play practice, which was explained effectively during the MI program training process. A convenience sample of 43 fourth-year dental hygiene students was recruited. Twenty-two students were randomly assigned to the intervention group and 21 to the control group in the order of recruitment. The theoretical lecture was delivered over 3 hours and the practice was done in parallel by applying cases occurring in clinic settings. The practice was technical training, partner practice, and small group practice. The intervention group received three hour MI lecture while the control group received no lecture. Evaluation through role-play practice was separated according to "researcher's viewpoint," "counselor's role viewpoint," and "patient's role viewpoint." The results of the analysis showed that the intervention group had higher MI skills and ability than the control group. Furthermore, program participants showed positive impressions to the MI training program. The use of coaching sessions improved the MI techniques and counseling skills of dental hygiene students learning MI. The effect of the application of the MI training program was that the MI training improved counseling skills and interviewing abilities. Moreover, continuous training and feedback enhanced MI techniques and core skills. Training using lectures in parallel with practice rather than education through theory alone improved students' techniques. Application of role play through the combined method of the MI program was confirmed by an effective training method.

The purpose of this study is to develop social skill training in order to reduce problematic behaviors and improve peer relations for elementary school students who have ADHD(Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder) and then verify its effectiveness. The problems for this study are as follows: Firstly, is the social skill training for students with ADHD effective in enhancing their self-esteem? Secondly, is the social skill training for students with ADHD effective in reducing their carelessness, hyperactivity and impulsive character? The purpose of the study was to find the effect of play-using assertion training program on elementary school children's self-expression, interpersonal relationship and self-efficacy. For the purpose of the study, the researcher sets hypotheses as follows. Hypothesis I : The play-using assertion training program has significant effect in elementary school children's self-expression. Hypothesis II : The play-using assertion training program has significant effect on elementary school children's interpersonal relationship. Hypothesis III: The play-using assertion training program has significant effect on elementary school children's self-efficacy. To verify these hypotheses, the researcher selected 10 students of 4th grade in C elementary school as a experimental group, and 11 students of 4th grade in O elementary school as a controlled group. Both schools are located at Boryoung, Chungnam. In the experimental group, the researcher administered the play-using assertion training program once a week for ten weeks. The play-using assertion training program are made by the researcher based on Jeon(1985) and Byoun and Kim(1980). To measure self-expression, the scale of self-expression made by Byoun & Kim(1980) was used. To measure interpersonal relationship, the scale of relationship change made by Schlin and Guerney(1971) was used. The scale was translated by Lee and Moon(1980). To measure self-efficacy, the scale of self-efficacy made by Han(2002) was used. The scale is based on Kim and Cha(1996) and Kim(1997). The result of the study is that the play-using assertion training program gives positive effects on students' self-expression, especially in physical area. Second, the play-using assertion training program gives positive effects on students' interpersonal relationship, especially in satisfaction, communication and friendliness. Third, the play-using assertion training program generally does not give positive effects on students' self-efficacy, but give significant effects on confidence and self-control efficacy which are sub-areas of self-efficacy.
The object of this study is to inspect how much influence the play-based assertive training program has on the self-expression and learning attitude of elementary students. To perform this study, I set up two subjects of research. First, does the play-based assertive training program have influence on the self-expression improvement of elementary students? Second, does the play-based assertive training program have influence on the attitude of elementary students? I established 28 students in the third grade of K elementary school in Gongju City as experiment group for this research. In experiment group, 1 peformed play-based assertive training program in the class of discretion and extra-curricula activity twice a week and maintained the program for 6 weeks. By the standard of 12 times of performances, I put pre-test and post-test into operation. The major consequences revealed through above processes are followed: First, as the consequence of analyses of differences between pre-test and post-test about self-expression of experiment group adapted by play-using assertion training program, the level of self-expression was advanced meaningfully. Second, as the consequences of analyses of differences between pre-test and post-test about learning-attitude of experiment group adapted by play-based assertive training program, the level of learning-attitude was advanced meaningfully. Among 8 sub-fields of learning attitude, the field of superiority, accomplishment motives, concentration, self-study show statistically meaningful difference s respectively. The conclusion drawn from above consequences is that the play-based assertive training program is very effective in developing students' self-expression and attitude for learning.
The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of an empathy training program on the empathy and bullying's degree for bullies. The research hypotheses set to achieve this goal were as follows. 1. An experimental group that gets empathy training might make a better improvement in empathy immediately after the training than a control group that doesn't, and the effect of the training might last till eight weeks later. 2. An experimental group that undergoes empathy training might show a more significant decrease in bullying's degree for bullies immediately after the training than a control group that doesn't, and the effect of the training might last till eight weeks later. The subjects in this study were 20 children who were designated as bullies when 40 fifth graders from Y Elementary school and 31 children from S Elementary school in the city of T, south Gyeongsang province, took K-PNI. Those children were asked to tell about who were attackers and who were victims, and 10 children each were selected from the two elementary schools as bullies, who were respectively selected as an experimental group and a control group. The empathy training program used in this study was prepared by modifying the empathy training programs developed by Shin Gyeong- il(1994). That program was prepared to be appropriate at fifth grader level. To assess how much the selected children bullied their peers, Kim Seok-jin(1999)'s School Bullying Inventory was utilized. Besides, Song Ho-yeon's revised version to assess the change of counselee empathy was employed. In order to analyze the resulte, ANOVA was implemented. The conclusions obtained from the results and discussion of this study are as follows. First, the empathy training program was effective in changing the empathy of the bullies for the better, and their improved empathy remained the same eight weeks later. Second, the empathy training program had an effect in reducing bullying's degree for bullies, and there was no change in their reduced bullying's degree eight weeks later. Third, the empathy training program served to change their neglecting/ ostracizing and ridiculing/teasing behaviors. And the retention test that was implemented eight weeks later showed the effect of training remained unchanged. Fourth, the empathy training program was effective in changing their cursing/threatening actions according to the posttest results, but the retention test showed that its effect didn't keep on. Fifth, the empathy training program didn't bring any changes to their robbing/striking actions either immediately after the training or eight weeks later.
