Recently, as the expansion of the metaverse accelerated due to the spread of the non-face-to-face trend after the COVID-19 pandemic, various metaverse platforms using it have appeared. In this study, we propose research and development of a virtual reality spatial psychological counseling service platform utilizing the advantages of metaverse. A counseling service platform was developed through virtual reality hardware including Unity 3D game engine and Head Mounted Display. Counseling participants create and participate in their own avatars, and counseling facilitators respond to the situation and environment of the counseling target in various virtual environments. It was attempted to improve the efficiency of the counseling service by allowing the space and counselor avatar to be selected. Furthermore, various interactions were implemented, and development was carried out so that it could be extended and utilized for social activities such as group counseling and general meetings and presentations. In the future, through additional research and development, we will prove the practical effectiveness of the psychological counseling service platform developed by conducting clinical trials under the support of psychological counseling experts and participation in actual counseling.
Dyslipidemia is a component of the metabolic syndrome and a risk factor for cardiovascular diseases. Nutrition counseling is important to improve dyslipidemia. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effectiveness of nutrition counseling in adults with risk factors for dyslipidemia diagnosed by the national health screening program. The nutrition counseling for adults with risk factors for dyslipidemia was carried out at a public health center in Gyeonggi-do. Thirty four patients out of forty five participants in the program completed the nutrition counseling program. The nutrition counseling was provided 3 times during a 12-week period. Individualized nutrition counseling to improve dietary habits was conducted after examining participants' dietary intake through questionnaires about dietary habits and whether they practice dietary guidelines. Data about serum lipid profiles, body composition, nutrition knowledge, the practice of dietary guidelines, and dietary behavior were collected before and after nutrition counseling to evaluate the effectiveness of nutrition counseling. All data were statistically analyzed by SPSS program (Korea ver.18.0) and significant difference was evaluated by paired t-test and ${\chi}^2$-test. Body weight, body fat and WHR were significantly decreased after nutrition counseling. Total-cholesterol, TG, and LDL-cholesterol were significantly decreased but HDL-cholesterol did not show significant changes. Both scores of nutrition knowledge and the practice of dietary guidelines improved significantly (p < 0.001). This study shows that nutrition counseling helps to encourage healthy eating practices and to improve serum lipid profiles of adults with risk factors for dyslipidemia. Overall, results indicated that nutrition counseling resulted in positive changes to lower the reliance on medications. Therefore, nutrition counseling should be considered for the initial treatment of dyslipidemia.

Objectives: We analyzed the reports of philosophical counseling and derived the characteristics of the questions that were administered in philosophical counseling. We also wanted to discuss if philosophical questions are necessary and applicable in Oriental medicine counseling. Methods: A systematic search of three Korean databases were performed. Case reports or case series that apply philosophical counseling to clients were included in this study (through June 27, 2019). We extracted questions and answers from the dialogue of each case. Extracted conversations between counselor and client were analyzed qualitatively. Results: Seven published articles with 17 cases were included and were analyzed for philosophical counseling. Philosophical questions have the following characteristics to help clients: (1) To clarify the phenomenon, (2) To identify subject and object, (3) To consider other people's perspective, (4) To review the premise, (5) To review the association relationship (6) To allow opportunities to think differently, and (7) To think of identity and values. Philosophical counseling and Korean medical counseling have commonalities in improving patients' resilience through logical conversation. The use of philosophical counseling in Korean medical counseling will maximize clients' philosophical resilience and the reparative power of nature. Thus, it is desirable to apply philosophical counseling to the practice of Korean medicine (KM). Conclusions: Through the qualitative analysis, we analyzed and categorized major characteristics of philosophical counseling. In the future, the possibility of using philosophical counseling should be explored in the KM practice.

Their teachers exert themselves to control or manage them in class. This may lead to a reduction of precious time for teaching-learning classroom activities. This study has counseled those children doing overactive and aggressive behaviors with solution-focused brief counseling. This study also explores the following problems. First, how does solution-focused brief counseling affect their overactive and aggressive behaviors? Second, what changes do they experience through solution-focused brief counseling? Third, is solution-focused brief counseling useful in elementary schools? To do this study task, four students have been chosen with the help of teachers in the fifth year at B Elementary School in Ansan. The four children scored high in Mi-hyun Han's 'The ratings of the child's behavior problems' and Se-Yong Jeong's 'Life of school and behavior test'. They are all eleven years old and had two interviews before the experiment and five interviews during the experiment. This study is based on Freud's psychoanalysis and intends to deal with the actual psychoanalytic counseling applied to it. In particular, I would like to study the counseling process and counseling techniques. The research results are as follows. The counseling process goes through four stages: initiation, transfer development, training, and transfer resolution as follows after selecting a client and constructing a counseling situation. In the beginning phase, the client listens to important past histories. In the metastasis development stage, it is from the time when metastasis appears. The training phase is the phase in which the client's insight is translated into real life to bring about change. The transfer resolution stage is the period when transfer analysis and interpretation are completed. Counseling techniques include free association, empathy, resistance, transference and countertransference, and interpretation. Free association is a key technique in psychoanalytic therapy and plays an important role in maintaining the analytical framework. Empathy is the ability of the therapist to identify herself with the client and the ability of the therapist to convey the empathic experience to the client itself is a key mechanism for change. Resistance refers to any behavior in which the client does not cooperate with counseling. Transference and countertransference are the main techniques of psychoanalysis. This is because the psychoanalyst induces and resolves the transference of the client during the treatment process. Interpretation refers to the technique of responding verbally in order to understand the needs, meanings, and motives hidden behind the client's thoughts, feelings, and actions. In conclusion, the counseling process of psychoanalytic counseling refers to the purpose of effective counseling by selecting a client and constructing a counseling situation. In addition, the principles of psychoanalysis in counseling techniques are applied to treatment procedures that vary according to the nature of the case, and can be variably applied while treating the same client.

This paper addresses the issue of design and application of a Web-based counseling system of which purpose is to facilitate counseling so that students can freely express their personal problems and get professional helps through the system. The prominent features of the counseling system are that the system encourages students to involve actively in interactive process, and it helps them to create genuine interests out of disbelief or uneasiness towards counseling, and it helps them to create positive attitude towards counseling. To do that, counseling process should meet the requirement of confidentiality in order to build trust between counselor and counselee. Many counseling sites operated by various organizations utilize E-mail as a communication channel for confidentiality purpose, which is likely to end up with single occasions in which desirable relationships for counseling can hardly be established. To solve the above-mentioned problem, a closed, confidential, Web-based counseling system was built on a Web server so that trustful relationship can be accomplished through a confidential, Web-based counseling system. Also, the result of applying it to a local elementary school is stated. Thanks to the merits of personalized, confidential counseling system compared to the face-to-face counseling, surpassing the limitation of time and space and overcoming the fearfulness, it was well observed that students showed great interests in participation of conseling.
