Purpose: Shared mobility services are the most notable in the shared economy; however, they have yet to be activated in Korea due to various regulations and conflicts amongst stakeholders. Nevertheless, shared mobility has become an irresistible trend of the times, as it can cause a great deal of economic and environmental benefits. In this vein, the purpose of this study is to contribute to the revitalization of shared mobility services in Korea and to provide service providers with implications for developing consumer-oriented marketing strategies. Research design, data and methodology: Based on the reasons that the users do not use shared mobility service, the factors influencing the behaviors of shared mobility users are structured and analyzed in a reliable, technical and procedural manner. To this end, the theory of reasoned action (TRA) of Ajzen and Fisbbein, the initial trust model (ITM), task technology fit (TTF) and switching cost (SC) are adopted. A total of 202 questionnaires were collected from the respondents who were aware of shared mobility. Then statistical processing of the collected data used SmartPLS(v.3.2.8), a PLS-SEM (Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling) analysis program. The steps of the analysis are as follows. First, a PLS-Algorithm analysis was performed to evaluate the measurement model, and a Bootstraping and Blindfolding analysis was performed to evaluate the structural model and verify the hypotheses. Second, a multi-group analysis (PLS-MGA) was conducted to further analyze the differences depending on whether or not users experienced shared mobility service. Results: The results showed that initial trusts model (ITM) and task technology fit (TTF) have positive effects on users' behaviors through the mediation of the intention to use. As opposed to the assumption, switching costs did not have negative moderating effects in relation to the intention to use and users' behaviors. The influence of IT self-efficacy was significant, depending on the prior experience to use shared mobility services. Conclusions: This study will contribute to the revitalization of domestic shared mobility services and the formulation of service providers' marketing strategies. In future studies, there is a need to explore, reconstruct, and validate factors other than the impact factors of the shared mobility services used in this research model.
The study investigated the hygienic practice attitudes of 500 housewives living in the Seoul area through survey. The suey questionnaire evaluated general information, purchasing behaviors, 4 parts of hygienic practice attitude and the associated factors. The subjects were mostly full-time housewives aged in their $30{\sim}40's$, high school graduates from middle-class families who had been married for $6{\sim}10$ years. The mean score for hygienic practice attitude was 2.9 out of 5 point scale, representing a fairly low hygienic practice attitude except for food preparation area(3.4 pt.). Factors affecting hygienic practice attitude were age, occupation, and marriage term. Practice attitude was positively correlated with age (p<0.01). Full-time housewives had better practice attitude. Housewives with <5 and >26 years of marriage showed inferior practice attitude (p<0.05). In addition, food purchasing behaviors were strongly related to hygienic practice attitude. Housewives gathering hygiene information from mass media maintained a significantly higher practice attitude (p<0.05), and so did the housewives focusing on 'nutrition' and 'freshness' when fish and frozen foods were purchased (p<0.05). In contrast, housewives focusing on cost had a significantly lower practice attitude (p<0.05). In conclusion, the level of hygienic practice attitude of housewives was fairly low and was affected by age, occupation status, marriage term and several aspects of purchasing behaviors. Therefore, it is extremely important to conduct training and education for housewives to improve their hygienic practice attitude and awareness of hygiene.

Umbrella Arch Method (UAM) often employed in the tunnel construction under poor rock mass conditions in Korea. Insertion of steel pipes at the periphery of the tunnel and infiltration of grouts along the pipes into the rock masses increases tunnel stability. There are two major effects of grouts expected at the tunnel face: 1) increase of face stability by enhancing the frictional resistance of discontinuities and 2) decrease of permeability along the rock masses. Increase of resistance and decrease of permeability requires a certain curing time for the grout. In Korea, we require 24 hours for curing of grout, which means no progress of excavation for 24 hours after infiltration of grouts. This step delays the tunnel construction sequences. To eliminate such inefficiency, we propose MTG (Method for Tunnel construction using Grouting technology), which uses extended length of steel pipes (14 m) compared to conventional pipe roof method (12 m). The merit of MTG is the reduction of curing time. Because of the approximately 2 m extension of the length of steel pipe, blasting can be done after infiltration of grouting. For this paper, we conducted experiments on the shear strength behaviors of grout infilled rock joint with elapsing of curing time and blasting induced vibration. The results show that blasting induced vibration under MTG does not influence the mechanical features of grout material, which indicates no influence on the mechanical behaviors of grout, contributing to the stability of tunnels during excavation. This result indicates that MTG is a cost effective and fast construction method for tunneling in Korea.
Purpose: To identify the effects of a smart program for the patients who underwent percutaneous coronary intervention (SP-PCI) on coronary disease-related knowledge, health behaviors, and quality of life. Methods: A nonequivalent control group with a non-synchronized design was utilized and 48 participants (experimental=22, control=26) were recruited from a university hospital in Gyeongsang area from May to December, 2016. The 12-week SP-PCI consisted of self-study of health information using smart phone applications (1/week), walking exercise (>5/week) using smart band, feedback using Kakao talk (2/week), and telephone counseling (1/week). Patients in the control group received usual care from their primary health care providers and a brief health education with basic self-management brochure after the PCI. Data were analyzed using the SPSS 21.0 program through descriptive statistics, $x^2$ test, and t-test. Results: After the 12-week SP-PCI, the experimental group showed higher levels of coronary disease-related knowledge (t=2.43, p=.019), heart-related health behaviors (t=5.96, p<.001), regular exercise (Z=-4.47, p<.001), and quality of life-MCS (t=3.04, p=.004) and showed lower levels of stress (Z=-3.53, p<.001) and sodium intake (t=-4.43, p<.001) than those in the control group. There were no significant group differences in medication adherence and food intake in total energy, lipids, and cholesterol. Conclusion: The suggested SP-PCI provided easy access and cost-effective intervention for patients after PCI and improved their knowledge of the disease, performance of health behaviors, and quality of life. Further study with a wider population is needed to evaluate the effects of SP-PCI on disease recurrence and quality of life for patients after PCI.
Chemical mechanical polishing (CMP), which is a material removal process involving chemical surface reactions and mechanical abrasive action, is an essential manufacturing process for obtaining high-quality semiconductor surfaces with ultrahigh precision features. Recent rapid growth in the industries of digital devices and semiconductors has accelerated the demands for processing of various substrate and film materials. In addition, to solve many issues and challenges related to high integration such as micro-defects, non-uniformity, and post-process cleaning, it has become increasingly necessary to approach and understand the processing mechanisms for various substrate materials and abrasive particle behaviors from a tribological point of view. Based on these backgrounds, we review recent CMP R&D trends in this study. We examine experimental and analytical studies with a focus on substrate materials and abrasive particles. For the reduction of micro-scratch generation, understanding the correlation between friction and the generation mechanism by abrasive particle behaviors is critical. Furthermore, the contact stiffness at the wafer-particle (slurry)-pad interface should be carefully considered. Regarding substrate materials, recent research trends and technologies have been introduced that focus on sapphire (${\alpha}$-alumina, $Al_2O_3$), silicon carbide (SiC), and gallium nitride (GaN), which are used for organic light emitting devices. High-speed processing technology that does not generate surface defects should be developed for low-cost production of various substrates. For this purpose, effective methods for reducing and removing surface residues and deformed layers should be explored through tribological approaches. Finally, we present future challenges and issues related to the CMP process from a tribological perspective.
This study was conducted to compare of the health behaviors of single households by status of workers and age groups. The subjects were collected by purposive quota sampling(n=566). There was a significant difference by age in drinking frequency(p<0.001), smoking status(p<0.001) and smoking amount(p<0.001). In the smoking cessation plan, the permanent workers were significantly higher than other groups(p<0.05). In the reason for smoking cessation, the proportion of respondents who cited the cigarette cost was significantly higher in 20s(p<0.001). Overall, it can be said that personal characteristics such as age have more significant influences on drinking and smoking behaviors than socioeconomic characteristics such as status of workers.
This study was conducted to compare of dietary behaviors of young and temporary workers with older and permanent workers of single-person households. A questionnaire survey was conducted by purposive quota sampling(n=566) by age groups(20~59 years old) and status of workers(temporary workers, permanent workers and business owners). Compared to other age groups, 20s had lower average monthly income and cost of eating-out, and they rarely cooked at home and mainly bought food and groceries at convenience stores(p<0.001). This pattern was similar to temporary workers compare to other groups. This study will be meaningful as a basic data for creating a healthy living environment for temporary workers and 20s of single-person households.
The problem of care of patients and families with Alzheimer's disease has become a conscious raising social policy issue in Korea. The government of the Republic of Korea has become cognizant of the situation and has begun searching for ways to remedy it. Thus, there is a need for a comprehensive under-standing of the situation in which patients and their families are struggling and the enormous problems of care. With a realization of the urgent need, this study was done to investigate the situation and the care needs of families with patients with Alzheimer's Disease, and to compare the effectiveness of services utilized by the families in terms of cost and effects on patient's conditions and on family live. The Subjects for the study were 29 families with hospitalized patients, 25 families utilizing hospital outpatient clinics, 14 families utilizing day care facilities, and 16 families with homebound patients. A total of 84 families were interviewed by four trained interviewers using structured and semistructured questionnaires. The data produced from these interviews included : the patient's stage of Alzheimer's disease, patient's bizarre behavior, hours spent on patient care per day, family burden and quality of life, direct and indirect costs encountered in the care of patients, and the families' evaluation of the effectiveness of the services received. The data were analyzed to determine the relationships between family charactersistics, patient's conditions and services utilization. The effectiveness of each of the service entities was assessed through families evaluation and hoped for service and comparisons were made between services in terms of the cost-effectiveness ratios. After initial comparison of cost-effectiveness ratios, further analysis was done to compare between groups for incremental effectiveness for each incremental unit of cost to determine the most cost-effective service entities. The findings of the study are as fellows : 1. The choice of living arrangement and the types of services are a function of the stage of Alzheimer's condition and the economic status of the family. 2. Comparision of the cost of care showed that most expenses were encountered in by families with hospitalization, families using outpatient services, and families using day care services in that order. The least expense was involved in the care of homebound patients. The economic burden felt by families was in the same order as expenses. 3. The average number of hours spent on daily patient care was 9.9 hours for the outpatient clinic users, 9.7 hours for homebound patients, and 5.4 hours for day care users. 4. There were significant differences in the patient's conditions (CDRL), bizarre behaviors and the families's burden by living arrangement and /or types of service. However, no significant difference was found between groups in the family's quality of life. 5. The families rated the services of day care center as most effective for the care of the patients and families, except for a few families who had experienced some improvement in the patient's conditions. The outpatient clinic users expressed psychological comforts mainly in that the patient was being taken care of. For those hospitalized patients, families expressed the comfort of being relieved of the burden of care and that the patient is being professionally cared for. Form the analysis of the costs, hours of patient care, patient's bizarre behaviors, family's quality of life and burdens, and family's evaluation of services, it is concluded that up to the mid stage of Alzheimer's condition, the utilization of day care center services is found to be the most cost-effective, and toward the end stage of the Alzheimer's disease, it is hoped that there will be a establishment of long term or short term in-patient facilities for the protection of patients and preservation of the integrity of families for less cost. Thus. it was concluded that the family centered system of care is the most effective for Korea with systematic support systems developed for the care of patients and their families according to the needs of families as the patient's condition deteriorates.
The purpose of this paper is to estimate the total damage cost (i.e., individual welfare loss) due to dust-sand storm (DSS) in Korea, using contingent valuation method. CV market scenario is designed to elicit individual WTP for reducing the currently 14 days of average DSS per year by 50 percent. Question about the shares of various types of damage costs are directly asked after the respondent answered about his or her WTP in CV questionnaire. The yearly damage cost due to DSS is 29,510 won(95% C.I. 24,565~35,452won) in the case of an individual, therefore amounts to 444.1 billion won(95% C.I. 407.3~481.0 billion won) for the whole nation. The cost of amenity reduction counted as 33.8% is 150.1 billion won(95% C.I. 137.7~162.6 billion won); the cost of increase in morbidity counted as 36.6% amounts to 162.5 billion won(95% C.I. 149.1~176.0 billion won); the cost of averting behaviors counted as 14.5% is 64.4 billion won(95% C.I. 59.1~69.7 billion won); and the cost of car wash, activity restriction and so on, which was counted as 15.1%, amounts to 67.1 billion won(95% C.I. 61.5~72.6 billion won).

In this paper, an enhanced time-based registration method is proposed. The method reduces the registration cost when a mobile terminal stays in a cell for a long time. We also analyze the performance of the proposed method numerically. In the analysis, we assume Poisson call arrival distribution and exponential cell resident time. From the analysis we calculate the optimal time-interval. Additionally, limit cost analysis is made to investigate the behaviors in the limit conditions. To compare the performance of the proposed method with the original time-based registration method, we analyze the performance of the original time-based registration method. In the comparisons, we see that the proposed enhanced time-based registration method has better performance and is applicable to the PCS systems.
