Two similar experiments were designed to evaluate the interaction of dietary CP and ME levels on the production performance parameters at the age between 155 and 300 days in Starcross layers. In both experiments, the feed intake and mortality decreased but the egg weight, body weight gain and feed conversion efficiency increased as the dietary CP and ME levels increased. The CP intake was highest CP and lowest ME levels. With the increasing CP and decreasing ME levels, the ME intake decreased significantly (Experiments 1 & 2). The $CP{\times}ME$ interactions were significant only on mean egg weight and egg production in Experiment 2. In both the experiments, the CP levels were positively correlated with CP intake, egg weight, body weight gain and egg production and negative correlation with feed intake, mortality percentage and ME intake. The ME levels showed negative correlation with feed intake, protein intake, mortality percentages and positive correlation with all other parameters in both experiments. The highest values were noted for all the parameters (except mortality percentages) in Experiment 1 than that recorded in Experiment 2.
Error diffusion is excellent for reproducing grey-scale images to binary images. The output of conventional error diffusion produces correlated pattern. In this paper, a new error diffusion coefficient set is proposed to reduce correlated pattern and to enhance edge through frequency analysis of the error diffusion coefficients. The error diffusion coefficients of the previous line are designed to enhance the edge. The error diffusion coefficient of the previous pixel of the current pixel is selected to symmeterize the coefficient set. Because the proposed coefficient-set consists of 1 and 2, a few computations are required. As results of experiments, it is shown that the binary image using the proposed coefficients have better quality than conventional ones.
This study was undertaken to understand development stage of ovary and changes of hormones concentration from February to May in the Israeli carp, Cyprinus carpio. The results obtained in these experiments are as follows ; 1. Serum LH levels began to increase sharphy in March, coinciding with the onset of rapid ovarian development. 2. LH levels were well correlated with changes in gonadosomatic index. 3. Dramatic increase in gonadosomatic index occurred during the months of March. 4. Ripe stage(Stage Ⅴ) rapidly increase in March. 5. Early perinucleolus oocyte radpily develop into late perinucleolus oocytes in March. 6. The vitellogenic phase begins as these late perinucleolus oocytes become transformed into early maturing oocytes through the accumulation of yolk. 7. The cytoplasm completely fills with yolk as oocytes reach the late maturing stage. 8. Changes in the microscopic appearances of the ovaries were well correlated with changes in both gonadosomatic index and macroscopic appearance. 9. It is concluded from these observations that LH plays a major role in sexual maturation of the Israeli carp.
This paper sought to investigate pupil size variability, pupil size parameters in terms of time domain and frequency domain, the autonomic activity change induced by posture change, degree of sleepiness and cognitive task (math task). With a specially designed pupil image acquisition system in the dark room, these three kinds of experiments were performed to induce a dominant state of sympathetic or parasympathetic activation. Electrocardiogram and pupil size were measured in all the experiments. Based on three experiments, we calculated heart rate variability. In the pupil size analysis, we calculated the mean and standard deviation of pupil size (in time domain), and proposed several frequency bands that exhibit different autonomic activation between different sessions. The results indicate that in terms of heart rate variability, posture change exhibited significant differences but not between sleepiness level, or between cognitive task. Pupil sizes differed only during the postures. And we found some frequency bands that correlated with autonomic activation in each experiment. While heart rate variability reflects posture change that need cardiac control, pupil size variability reflects not only posture induced autonomic activation but sleepiness and cognitive load, which is processed in the brain, in time and frequency domain parameter.
A number of the experiments on the phenomenon in which the thermal energy was transferred from a hot sphere to the surrounding water through the film boiling process had been conducted. As the sphere only carried the thermal energy associated with its initially high temperature but did not contain any other thermal source, the film boiling was only driven by the decreasing temperature of the sphere and, thus, was time dependent. The results from the experiments showed that the temperature of the sphere was slowly decreased in the beginning. This corresponded to the period in which the sphere was penetrating the water surface. Later, when the sphere was fully submerged and the transition film boiling was observed over the whole surface, the temperature of the sphere was decreased relatively much faster. In the last stage, the temperature of the sphere was again slowly decreased. This was considered caused by the relatively low temperature of the sphere, which reduced and later ceased the film boiling process. In addition, the estimation of the departure rate of the steam bubbles from the film layer was also correlated for the experiments.
Two sets of isometric pushing and pulling experiments were performed by two male and two female susbjects. One set of experiments involoved isometric hand pushing and pulling in a standing erect posture, in which the thigh and pelvic regions of the subjects were braced to achieve the greatest strength. Another set of experiments involved isometric hand pushing and pulling in a free posture, in which the subjects elected their preferred postures to attain the largest strength at each of thred handle heights (low-66cm ; mid-109cm ; and high-152cm). It was shown from isometric pushing and pulling experiments in a standing erect poture that the rectus abdominis and the erector spinae muscles were acting as an antagonistic pair with respect to the L5/S1 intervertebral joint, and that the integrated EMG and the muscle force were linearly related. However, the relationships between the integrated EMG and the muscle force during isometric pushing and pulling in a free posture were not well-correlated. It is proposed that the integrated EMG results should be carefully interpreted for tasks of pushing and pulling at various handle heights.

We employed a method eliminating a temporally partial principal component (PC) of multichannel-recorded neuromagnetic fields for excluding spatially correlated noises from event-evoked signals. The noises in magnetoencephalography (MEG) are considered to be mainly spontaneous neuromagnetic fields which are spatially correlated. In conventional MEG experiments, the amplitude of the spontaneous neuromagnetic field is much lager than that of the evoked signal and the synchronized characteristics of the correlated rhythmic noise makes it possible for us to extract the correlation noises from the evoked signal by means of the general PC analysis. However, the whole-time PC of the fields still contains a little projection component of the evoked signal and the elimination of the PC results in the distortion of the evoked signal. Especially, the distortion will not be negligible when the amplitude of the evoked signal is relatively large or when the evoked signals have a spatially-asymmetrical distribution which does not cancel out the corresponding elements of the covariance matrix. In the period of prestimulus, there are only the spontaneous fields and we can find the pure noise PC that is not including the evoked signal. Besides that, we propose a method, called the extended temporal decorrelation method (ETDM), to suppress the distortion of the noise PC from remanent evoked signal components. In this study, we applied the Partial Principal component elimination method (PPCE) and ETDM to simulated signals and the auditory evoked signals that had been obtained with our homemade 37-channel magnetometer-based SQUID system. We demonstrate here that PPCE and ETDM reduce the number of epochs required in averaging to about half of that required in conventional averaging.

Aiming at the grouting treatment of water inflow in karst conduits, a visualized experiment system for conduit-type grouting blocking was developed. Through the improved water supply system and grouting system, and the optimized multisource information monitoring system, the real-time observation of diffusion and deposition of slurry, and the data acquisition of pressure and velocity during the whole process of grouting were realized, which breaks through the problem that the monitoring element is easy to fail due to slurry adhesion in conventional test system. Based on the grouting experiments in static and flowing water, the diffusion and deposition behavior of the quick-setting slurry under different working conditions were analyzed. The temporal and spatial variation behavior of the pressure and velocity were studied, and the blocking mechanism of the grouting were further revealed. The results showed that: (1) Under the flowing water condition, the counter-flow diffusion distance of slurry was negatively correlated with the flow water velocity and the volume ratio of cement and sodium silicate (C-S ratio), and positively correlated with the grouting volume. The slurry deposition thickness was negatively correlated with the flowing water velocity, and positively correlated with the grouting volume and C-S ratio. (2) The pressure increased slowly before blocking of the flowing water and rapidly after blocking in karst conduits. (3) With the continuous progress of grouting, the flowing water velocity decreased slowly first, then significantly, and finally tended to be stable. According to the research results, some engineering recommendations were put forward for the grouting treatment of the conduit-type water inflow disaster, which has been successfully applied in the treatment project of the China Resources Cement (Pingnan) Limestone Mine. This study provided some guidance and reference for the parameter optimization of grouting for the treatment projects of water inflow in karst conduits.

SMD(Surface Mounting Device) which mounts electronic components as IC-Chips on PCB automatically, produces a large dynamic force and vibration. The unwanted vibrations in SMD degrade the performance of the precision device and it is the major obstacle to limit its speed for mounting. This study investigated the vibration analysis of a typical SMD to predict the natural frequencies and mode shapes. To validate the finite element analysis of SMD, the FE result was compared with that of ODS measurements. It was shown that the predicted results were well correlated with the experimental modal parameters.
The present study was planned to investigate the cortical activation correlated with producing morphologically complex Korean verbs by using. fMRI technique. In this study two derivational affixes and two inflectional affixes were selected: pre-final ending and final ending for inflectional affix and passive affix and causative affix for derivational affix. Two Experiment were conducted. The results of two Experiments suggest a possibility that process of pre-final ending is different from final ending.
