Simulation for a Core based micro transformer (코어 기반의 마이크로 트랜스포머의 시뮬레이션)

  • 현재 전자기기의 소형화 추세에 맞물려 수동 소자중의 하나인 트랜스포머의 소형화가 큰 이슈가 되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 실리콘 웨이퍼 위에 트랜스포머와의 절연층을 삽입 하여 기판의 에디 커런트로 오는 멤돌이 손실의 영향을 줄이고 중간 코어를 투자율이 높은 퍼멀로이로 설계하여 1차 코일과 2차 코일의 턴수의 비를 기준으로 1:1 인 트랜스포머 (3/3, 5/5, 7/7)의 인덕턴스 및 상호 인덕턴스를 시뮬레이션 하였다. 트랜스포머의 최대 크기는 $1mm\;{\times}\;1.95mm$이고 선폭과 선간 간격, post의 높이는 각각 50um 이다. 이때 삽입 손실은 10GHz에서 0.12dB의 낮은 손실 값을 나타내었다.

  • This paper describes modeling and analysis of magnetic inrush for a 765kV transformer using EMTP-RV. EMTP-RV generates the core flux and thus helps show the behavior of the core, i.e. hysteresis characteristics. The results of three kinds of the magnetic inrush such as initial inrush, sympathetic inrush, and recovery inrush are included. This modelling can help the design of a protection relay for a transformer.

  • 사출성형충전공정에서 금형구조가 단섬유배향에 미치는 영향을 예측하기 위하여 수 치모사 프로그램을 개발하였다. 유한요소 /관찰 부피 방법에 복잡한 금형에서의 유동을 해 석하고 섬유와 섬유간의 상호작용을 고려한 섬유배향텐서 변화식을 이용하여 입자 추적법으 로 섬유배향분포를 구하였다. 수치모사 결과 금형 옆벽면과 내부 방해체의 주위에 있는 섬 유들이 전단변형의 영향으로 그들주위를 따라서 정렬되려는 경향을 보였다, 두 유동이 내부 방해체를 지나 접하면서 생성된 웰드라인을 따라서 단섬유들이 정렬되려는 경향을 나타내엇 다. 그리고 수축유동에서는 흐름방향으로 정렬되나 확장유동에서는 흐름방향에 수직으로 배 열되려는 경향을 확인하였다. 위아래 벽에 의한 전단변형의 영향으로 서로 다른두 배향구조 를 보여주는 skin-core 구조를 두께방향의 속도구배를 고려한 수치모사를 통하여 예측할 수 있었다. skin구조에서는 섬유들이 흐름방향으로 정렬되고 core 구조에서는 흐름방향에 수직 으로 배향되는 것을 확인하였으며 섬유상호계수값이 커질수록 임의 배향화하는 경향을 보였다.

  • 본 연구에서는 온라인 환경과 모바일 환경이 가지는 각 플랫폼의 약점은 서로 보완하고 각각이 가진 강점을 최대한 활용할 수 있는 방법으로 유무선 연동을 이용한 게임을 제안한다. 이를 위해 유무선 연동방식익 게임 구성방법과 이러한 게임구성에 있어 게임 플레이어가 몰입할 수 있는 요인들에 대해 고찰하였다. 본 연구는 게임의 구성요소를 코어메카닉(Core Mechanic)과 코어 메카닉의 변화(Core Mechanic Variation), 캐릭터(Character)로 구분하고 이러한 구성요소들을 물리적, 사회적 시뮬레이션(Simulation)이라는 방법으로 구성하여 이를 실제 유무선 연동방식 구현 사례 게임 <똘끼>를 통해 설명한다. 또한, 게임을 디자인하는데 있어 게임 플레이어가 몰입할 수 있는 3가지 변인으로서 통제감, 숙련도와 도전감, 사회적 상호작용을 제안하고, 이들 변인들을 게임 플레이어에게 제공하는 방법들을 적용 사례 <똘끼>를 통해 설명한다. 본 연구는 하나의 플랫폼에서만 플레이할 수 있었던 기존의 게임과는 차별화되는 유무선 연동을 이용한 게임을 통해 게임의 구성방법과 게임플레이어에게 게임에 대한 몰입감을 제공하는 방법에 대하여 연구함으로써 게임디자인에 있어서 새로운 구성방향을 제시했다는 점에서 의의를 가진다.

A Design of 8192-point FFT Processor using a new CBFP Scaling Method (새로운 CBFP 스케일링 방법을 적용한 8192점 FFT프로세서 설계)

  • This paper describes a design of 8192-Point pipelined FFT/IFFT processor (PFFTSk) core for DVB-T and DMT-based VBSL modems. A novel two-step convergent block floating -point (75_CBFP) scaling method is proposed to improve the signal- to-quantization-noise ratio (SeNR) of FFT/IFFT results. Our approach reduces about 80% of memory when compared with conventional CBFP methods. The PFFTSk core, which is designed in VHDL and synthesized using 0.25-${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$ CMOS library, has about 76,300 gates, 390k bits RAM, and Twiddle factor ROM of 39k bits. Simulation results show that it can safely operate up to 50-MHz clock frequency at 2.5-V supply, resulting that a 8192-point FFT/IFFT can be computed every 164-$mutextrm{s}$. The SQNR of about 60-dB is achieved.

  • The present work is the study of mechanical behavior due to variation of the geometrical parameters in the core of the sandwich honeycomb panel. This study has allowed us to increase or decrease the strains and stresses of the panel, in changing the angle of alveolus, as explained and described below. In taking into consideration the results obtained previously to improve the mechanical properties and increase the adhesion of different parts of the panel, without changing the adhesive, we have conceived two new models, in increasing the contact surfaces in boundary of each part of the panel and giving a conical hexagonal shape in his corp.

  • Artificial intelligence and robot technology have been received attention as core technologies of the 4th industrial revolution. This paradigm change of science technology raises the importance of unmanned technology field. This paper categorizes unmanned technology as unmanned ground system, unmanned maritime system, and unmanned aircraft system, And it analyzes 557 cases of open patents and classifies each sort of specific technology elements. After then patent information, which were classified by technology, by patent assignees, and by IPC codes, covers unmanned technology maturity, development direction of research and core technology trends. This research provides directions of unmanned technology research and diverse field technology development through cooperation with various perspectives of quantitative analysis of patents.

  • To reduce the fast neutron fluence which deteriorates the RPV integrity, additional shields were assumed to be installed at the outer core structures of the Kori Unit 1 reactor, and its reduction effects were examined. Full scope Monte Carlo simulation with MCNP4A code was made to estimate the fast neutron fluence at the RPV. An optimized design option was found from various choices in geometry and material for shield structure. It was expected that magnitude of fast neutron fluence would be reduced by 39% at the circumferential weld of the RPV, resulting in extension of plant lifetime by 4.6 EFPYs based on the criterion of PTS requirement It was investigated that the nuclear characteristics and thermal hydraulic factors at the internal core were only negligibly influenced by the installation of additional shield structure.

Optical Simulation of Viewing Angle Property of Biaxial Nematic Bent-Core Liquid Crystal

  • The conventional liquid crystal displays (LCDs) have been using optically uniaxial liquid crystal (LC) medium and this often causes a significant image change at oblique viewing angles. We simulated the viewing angle properties of the biaxial nematic (Nb) phase of a bent-core liquid crystal (BLC) and compared the results with the vertically aligned (VA)- and the in-plane switching (IPS)-LCDs. The Nb phase of the BLC showed a smaller transmittance at the dark state as well as a greater contrast ratio at wide viewing angle. The viewing angle property of the Nb-mode without any compensation film was slightly superior to the IPS-mode with the compensation films eliminating the decross of the polarizers at oblique viewing angle.

  • In this paper, a series of electromagnetic analyses carried out for a high efficiency 22.9/0.38kV mold transformer are presented. The simulations were performed in order to calculate the losses which eventually verify the performance(efficiency) of the designed product. Here, losses include core loss, stray losses of non-current carrying metallic structural parts(core plate and clamp), ohmic loss and eddy current loss of current carrying metallic parts(busbars, leads, terminals and windings). The obtained results of the simulations were compared to the test results and showed high level of accuracy. The loss evaluation technology will allow designers avoid any potential over-design or under-design of the high efficiency products, reducing the manufacture cost and development period compared to the conventional experience-based design procedures.
